I didn’t need cond hgh I have that one and been running it for over 500 hours.

Thank you for the help guys. I didn’t think power hgh would be full zerker gear.

I’ve been playing cond hgh for some time now and I wanted to try the power version. So any advice about gearing for it would be much appreciated it. Thanks again.

As an engineer I don’t play much of any other class but I don’t see this as an op build or anything. I can kill it sometimes and it gets me. This is you guys only really strong build and anet will most likely nerf it so it’s not really usable anymore.

Don’t worry though. I’m pretty sure us engineers are getting nerfed too. Let’s just hold each other hands.

This build seems very interesting and I’m more use to the HGH/SD builds so this is new to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Ostrichegg, for the power version of hgh what armor and trinkets stats would you recommend for pve? I’d like to try it in dungeons and what not.

I can do 50 runs easily so it’s not a win win. You got the gloves for the event so you can be happy you got at least something for your hard work doing it. Let the jetpack be how it is and stop fighting about it. The event is almost over with anyways. So there is no use in doing it.

For those that dont speak twatkitten: I got the jetpack and dont want other people to get it so removing chance from the run instead making it based on commitment or skill will make me worthless because i cant be a special little snowflake.

RNG is so bad. I want everything earned so everyone can have the same thing cry cry cry. Comes from someone that doesn’t want to farm it like I did or save up gold.

There are some people that have farmed it, haven’t received it, and don’t have the rng luck anywhere else to have enough gold to spend. Playing the TP at this point is impossible if you haven’t exploited early (mystic forge precursors, wintersday accessories). Sure, you can make a modest amount of money over time but not 130 gold currently needed before the event ends and the price skyrockets.

Just face it. Until we stop putting rare items on the tp for the top 1% to buy for profit, prices aren’t going to drop because of the current flipping mentality.

Hoard everything, mystic toilet or shard your own rares, farm your own mats. Don’t give them any more money that they’re not going to introduce back in to the community.

Why not make it so that if we put in the effort we can get the reward we want a-net? -.-

RNG will never be “fair” in terms of skill and effort, but it’s a best way to handle items across the MMO worlds. If the skill/effort was main factor to get rare items, the same set of players who’d simply be able to deal with a very harsh skill-check, and probably gear check since MMOs tend to be heavy gear-oriented – they would gather all, while the rest of playerbase (major in percentage) would have none or very few. Which would mean that new content was released only for a tops and neglect a majority of players. Which would eventually divide a community – not a very smart thing to allow if you run community based game.
And why does it have to be very harsh? Because such items are introduced to be rare, to burst e-pens of players handling it. If rares were not rares anymore, the whole idea behind introducing a new content in MMOs of this kind would be pointless.
BTW, I bet that people would then complain not about RNG but how insanely hard the boss is, if they have to do it for 50/70/100 times without success. Exactly what took place in Diablo 3 when majority of players hit the Inferno difficulty

Yes I know, it still seems to be unfair. Well, shucks. PvE is not an e-sport to be competitive and purely skill-based. RNG gives an even distribution of content, maybe that’s the reason why had it been introduced to MMOs in the first place.

…and yet the SAB which wasn’t designed this way was massively popular as were the rewards. You put in the effort in the SAB you got the rewards… or you could get lucky and get the skin from the chest. If you were too lazy to go farm the bubbles you could buy them. Win-Win.

Vs… make it time limited and very rare so that people buy them all up and set them at redicilous prices and only a lucky are happy.

Except that isn’t really true either, because I also see either of the two legendary greatswords, AC dungeon greatsword, or fused/destroyer/CoF one. I rarely see any other ones.
And whats it matter if everyone has the same skin? Its already pretty much like that already. I could care less what everyone else is running around in/with, cause if its a skin I like I’ll still use it.

Then set the number of runs you need to do at 50. 50 tokens needed, 1 per run. People who really want that item will need to do a LOT of runs but still be able to get one for sure. I don’t find that to be an unreasonable request, nor would everyone and their mother have one.

What’s your point? I’m on my 40th run now and I’ll keep doing it til I get it. If not I’ll buy one so I don’t see why you have to cry about it.

My point is that you should get rewarded for effort & playing the event in order to get rewards exclusive to the event, not for picking straws. I too will continue running this dungeon, but it’s just not fun or enjoyable when your effort & time isn’t getting rewarded (and while the clock is ticking down). RNG on temporary content sours the experience for players who wish to obtain the item(s). Like I mentioned above, not everyone has that amount of coin to just buy it right off the TP either.

Getting event items should be left for playing through the event & easily able to gauge your progress on your tasks (like looking at a bar for an achievement track, also this doesn’t mean easily completed either). Not playing the lotto or just running CoF; leave this to the stuff that stays in-game so you always have a choice to grind or buy.

I honestly cannot see a positive side to RNG-only inside temporary content. Can one of you guys please at least explain why this is a good thing compared to doing special tasks and working towards a goal in the event.
Usually when I think of event items I’d imagine “Wow, he was there during x and he was able to do y!”, but this stuff is like “Oh, must of played TP/CoF or pressed F and hit the jackpot, can’t believe I’ve still yet to get anything…”.

You got the gloves for the exclusive event so I still don’t see why you must have the jetpack too and I don’t mean that in a bad way. If everything was like that then we wouldn’t have anything that says hey look at me I have something rare. You see the molten gloves all over the game and and I don’t want to see the jetpack like that or every event item that comes out. After about 60 runs I got one and I bought one just before I got it because I didn’t think I would get one. Now, I have two. I saved up most of my gold and sold alot of the stuff you got from molten to buy them. It’s not that hard really. I have a full time job, a gf and life outside gw so it is possible for anyone to get them.

You also have to look at it from a business side as well. If all the event items were like that anet wouldn’t make any money off of it. People really pay gold just so they can have those rare items and that pushes for more events so in my eyes it’s a win win. Honestly, I respect everything you said but we probably won’t see eye to eye and that’s fine. If that was the case the world would be perfect wouldn’t it?

I don’t regret my juggernaut but I do regret my sunrise. I wish I got the predator for my engineer.

I want those infused gloves but can’t get them because I missed the event. I’m not crying about it. You won’t get everything you want and I know it sucks but you don’t have to come to the forums and cry about it everytime.

So what is “bad enough”? The guy that got a 2nd special drop on his 4th run must have been playing it so hard to get those. Here I am starting my 26th run and I haven’t even gotten an exotic inscription, much less a special drop.
That’s like being paid with lottery tickets. Maybe you’ll get the money you want, maybe you’ll just go hungry until the next one, it’s all fair though!

RNG is a terrible system to put in with limited content, all this does is sour the experience for dedicated players who want to earn special items. No matter how many times you run this (my goal is 65 at minimum), you still could end up with absolutely nothing. If they added tokens or something, even just a set drop % at different run thresholds, this would be so much more fair for those who seek to acquire something.

It’s understandable that you can deal with not getting the Fused Gloves because you missed the progression required to obtain them, it had a bar to achieve & you didn’t fill it up. Idk why we need another one of these threads. Not to try and seem like one of those guys but gold farming isn’t that hard. Legendary weapons are suppose to be hard. I got my precusor a month and a half ago. I got everything you can buy by farming expect some of the molten lodestone and icy runestones. I have grinded hard for it all and I have a full time job.

All I’m missing is world completion, obsidian shards, badges and 67 mystic clovers. It takes time to get. Not everyone is going to get them right away and idk why people don’t understand that.

You need to look at buy orders to know what they are ‘going for’.

Someone just bought all the doubloons up to 1g. Stuff like that happens a lot and then the price immediately crashes back down to much closer to the buy order price. There are already some posted at 75 silver.

I have full knight gear expect two pieces. Those are my two accessory and they are beryl orichalcum earring of the berseker with exquisite rudy jewels on both.

My stats are
40% crit
2700-2800 Attack (2700 if ac hammer)
15-16k health (16k if ac hammer)
3000 armour
300-479 heal power (479 if ac hammer)
52% critdamage

I’m also running 0/0/30/30/10.

On my armor I have 4 beryl orbs, 1 rudy orb and 1 exotic

Can I have that without losing my current stats? I don’t mind losing 1k in health but I really like the stats like you suggested.

I have enough gold to switch sigils, runes, rings, accessorys, gear, etc around just to fix it. I don’t have enough to run test that’s why I’m asking.

It was a good event. Only problem I had with it was the skin drops. Not the exotics.
