The one thing about male humans is what they say. We don’t sound threatening, bold, or anything like that. Have Nolan North step up his game and sound more like Drake from Uncharted.
I agree with everything here. If they changed the Charr to the way they looked too in the concept art I think ArenaNet would see a lot more people playing them. They look super kitten in the concept art!
Something I’ve noticed ArenaNet doing a lot lately is giving mobs more knockdowns, and I’m not sure if this is the right idea of "Challenging" which is whakittens called I guess. But an example right now is the Queens Champions, almost all 5 of them can eventually get to the point where they knock you down and as soon as you get back up they do it again. Its instant death and these are not the only mobs that do this. So my idea for a fix is give stability after every knockdown for 5 seconds or so. This would stop us from constantly being thrown down and not even getting the opportunity to heal and fight back because we spend so much time on the ground in this game.
Recently I was leveling an Alt and I put my Toymakers Bag from Wintersday on him so I could have a back item early on. But I eventually deleted him and made the mistake of forgetting he had the bag on and I no longer have it so yea….great.
We need a way for these items to be retrieved or made permanent such as how Zenith weapons work. Right not this game is stupidly unfriendly to alts. If we could have a tab in our Heros Menu thats stores all our holiday items and we can retrieve them later on so there isn’t a fear of losing these items because down the road in the game its awesome to have these items to show you have been playing for a long time.
A game that I’ve seen do it in the past well was Runescape (I’m sure many of you have played it). You could go to an NPC and withdraw these holiday items if they were ever lost by accident. Right now I’m kinda upset that I got rid of my bag but these kinds of mishaps could be fixed easily and make Holiday items more rewarding be able to have them on more than one character.
This is actually an awesome idea. I’d also like to see all weapons become available for any profession. With ESO coming out soon it’s something that Zenimax has been boasting they will have and if we could use any weapon with any class we would definitely have a larger variety of game play.
But to OP, I want this added!
I always thought that people despised the ‘kitten roulette’ from WoW. Or was that just the good players?
You still find plenty of people who do terrible in dungeons as it is and this happens after you spend tons of time looking for group members in dungeons that aren’t CoF.
So one thing that kind of is a downer in this game is dungeons. Everyone only wants to do CoF to farm gold so it takes a long time to find a group even when your using a websites to help you out. I remeber in the past when this idea was suggested people flamed and said things along the line of “We don’t need this game being like WoW!” which confuses me. Most people on MMOs are former WoW players and there is no denying the fact that WoW was extremely successful and instances where most the fun until end game. Right now it sucks waiting 30 minutes to an hour to do any dungeon other than CoF. So really, will we get a dungeon finder?
I haven’t played Guild Wars 2 for months and recently started playing again (Last time being the Wintersday event). When I saw the Zenith weapon skins that we got and that we can withdraw skins from our Achievement skin unlimited times so our alts can have the same skins got me so excited and I thought to my self why doesn’t ArenaNet do this more often?
We have all kinds of Unique items from events that we can’t share with our alts often because the items our soul bound. My Dragon Bash wings, Toxx Toybag, Wintersday weapon skins, Zephyr Sanctum ruck sack, Lightning catcher, Wind Catcher, Sun Catcher skins, and I’m sure I could go on.
Make it so we can store these items and have them become unlimited so we can use them on other characters just like the Zenith skins. I know some of them are tradable though and to prevent exploiting this just make them soul bound such as the rucksack so someone can’t endlessly sell them and make a fortune.
I feel nervous with the items that are unique and using them because if I accidentally destroy them or something, I’ve lost a lot of them for good and will never get them back. So if a tab in the bank was added where all our characters could access them and use and apply the skins we could use these skins and armor all the time, on any character and not have to be nervous about using them or wasting these items. A lot of them look to good to be on only one character
A common complaint I hear on map chats is how this game gets dull after awhile, and I sort of agree. With events and hearts taking place of actual quest (outside of your personal story) there isn’t a whole lot to do on a map. Most hearts are basically what Arenanet said they didn’t want with quest. You basically go into the hearts area and kill until you finish it.
A kind of radiant quest system like Skyrim would be nice. A random NPC could approach you, or you could find him/her, and they would offer you quest. The quest could be like going into a area to retrieve a lost item for the NPC, Or clear out a bandit cave and free captives. The area could be made into an instance, and these quest would not matter in map completion, but just be something more to do. And for completion, a reward just like events would be given to the player.
You can buy the 2 you couldn’t make in the Trading Post. They have to make some money some where :/
Since we are given items such as the Toy makers Bag for holiday events we need a bank specifically for these items. As well as have them to never be able to be lost or destroyed. A example of how this could be done is how Jagex does the same thing with Runescape. We could have a vendor who has all you holiday items with him and if you lose them or destroy them, you can easily retrieve them. 1 vendor could be placed in all 6 major cities and allow storage and retrieval of holiday items such as the Toy Makers Bag.
As you have already pointed out, there is only 2 heavy armor professions so a new profession is more than likely. My bet is that they will introduce it when they introduce the Tengu as a playable race. I’m not saying for sure that the Tengu will make there way into the game, but there is a lot of potential with their back round. And with Tengu being based around feudal Japan culture there is a lot they could add with weapons.
I think this is just getting a bit picky.
They’ve got the animation of the arrow going through the wind, which, I think, is enough. That wouldn’t add anything to gameplay, in all honesty I focus on my combat, not trying to triangulate my arrows based on how far the bow is drawn back, the angle of fire, direction of wind, and wind speed. (Exaggeration, of course but it gets the point.)Next you’ll have people wanting the sun to gleam at correct angles from their swords. It’s just a silly little thing that doesn’t need improving.
Yea but when your standing still and you have your bow out and ready there is no arrow. It would make the game look much better if there was an arrow in the bow because as of now most people are shooting an endless supply of invisible arrows out of a invisible quiver.
Something that has bothered me since release is the lack of arrows actually being on bows. When we shoot its just a blurry line that suppose to be the arrow going through the wind. They finally added a quiver into the game (Even though you have to do a ton of work to get) to fill in the animation we had where we were reaching for arrows out of nothing. But what we really need is the actual arrow to be visible. When were standing still, when were firing the bows. If Runescape can do it, I believe Arenanet is more than capable.
So I’m about to get to my first level 80 and I I want to buy the human T3 heavy armor. So far I have amassed about 23 gold and so I need to get 96 more gold. Any suggestions on where I can go and farm to get gold?
In the case that you don’t know who he is, he is the path 3 boss in Ascalon Catacombs Dungeon. There is one thing that needs to be nerfed on him and that is his screech attack. It has way to wide of a range. I would say somewhere around 280 degree range. Unless your standing right behind him or near there, it hits you can is an instant knockdown. It needs to be changed bad.
They probably won’t make it available for the normal edition. It is one of the few things you get for purchasing the Deluxe Edition. So if they made it available all we really would have payed for was a mini, some guild influence, a ring (that becomes pointless at like level 10) and a 4 day mobile bank.
This has become a problem of the late. I see all over the forums people saying “We don’t need a dungeon finder, it ruins the community”. This is just a stupid statement. The only interaction in not having a dungeon finder is spending 1 hour spamming “LF2M AC Explore” or something along that line. We are still spending a lot of time looking for groups when there could be people on another server looking for the same thing but don’t know who they are. We need a dungeon finder.
I will start off by saying I am in full agreement that the Elementalist should not be able to change their weapons in combat which is what many people have asked for. Elementalist are extremely powerful if they cycle through all 4 elements. But the 3 main hand weapons of the Elementalist all serve different ranges and purposes and it can get annoying to have to leave a set of daggers in your inventory or Staff, scepter, etc. Many times I have accidentally sell my daggers or staff. Its all fixed with the buyback option but sometimes it is a little bit till you realize you sold them. So what I am proposing is that Elementalist get a quick change slot but it can’t be used in combat. So if I am using a staff for one battle and the combat ends and I need Dagger/Dagger for another battle I would be able to just switch to them with a click of a button in between battles, not go into my inventory and select them. This would leave the Elementalist the same and make many of us happy. Please let me know what you think.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the first expansion will focus on the Tengu. If you walk to some of them they say they are waiting to join the war until they decide who there allies will be. And the Tengu are based around Japanese culture, so more than likely Katanas will make their way in.
A lot of people in this game have multiple builds for each professions to fit different situations. Me being one of them. But I don’t always have the time to run back to a city or want to pay to just re set up my trait page so I can go into World vs World. So if you have played league of legends enough, you know about mastery’s, if you haven’t played League of Legends, mastery’s are basically the same thing as traits but you can have multiple pages to fit different champions. So what I am suggesting is we have multiple pages so we can fit the different situations this game calls for.
As some of you may know, makeover kits do let you change your gender of your character, but it doesn’t let you change your name….which is stupid. I now have a male elementalist running around with a female name.
So I’ve noticed this to be a problem mostly with dungeon tokens. We can only have 250 of the same item in a stack. This really becomes a problem for me in dungeon tokens. I’ve been running AC explore mode a lot lately and have multiple stacks of the tokens clogging my bank space. I don’t really see the issue with allowing us to have more than 250 to a stack. It wouldn’t harm the game in any way if we could have unlimited amounts to a item.
I know some people may think its to early to be thinking about DLC and expansions, but I am curious as to what people want to see in the future are far as weapon types go. Personally I would love to see katanas make their way in to the game. But I am interested in what other people are thinking to!
Except you’re exaggerating and our only clone generator during a downstate is our 2. This makes a grand total of……. ONE CLONE 1 uno however you want to say it. We have the red marker over our head for downed player regardless of whether or not it’s out too. The stealth lets a nearby ally get a rez off if they’re paying attention and you’re not.
If you stand there and channel the finish animation on something without Giant Red Arrow that’s your bad. The phantasmal rogue that we can conjure does too much damage if we’re allowed to get it off is the only point I’ll concede. Do not stand there and try to kill us with abilities in our down state either. We want to you to try and power through confusion.
Look for Giant Red Arrow stomp and move on, it’s really not that hard.
You get to keep the clones you had up from before when you went down, plus you can clone while down, and your clone recharges fast. So you can have a downed clone of yourself, 3 attacking clones, and yourself. That easily gets to enough attack power to kill any one. and when your coming off a 1 v 1 battle and your enemy already has low health, it makes itkittennear impossible to win that fight. Mesmers cloning may be all it has, but all it has is what makes the class OP, and that would explain why there is at least 2 mesmers per team every game.
Mesmer being down are the only time I think they are OP. As the original post said how he killed multiple down clones and to have the Mesmer pop up with full health, this happens every time I play. They shouldn’t be able to make so many clones while their down, this almost guarantees them to get back up. As a Guardian all I have when I’m down is a knock back and a heal that takes like 20 seconds before it can be used, so when I’m down I am basically screwed. So if they just fix their down state, Mesmers will be perfect, because at this point you pretty much cant kill them unless its like 4 on 1.
