Sadly, since it’s still bugged (I believe), it won’t activate when the field appears when all targets inside of it are at full HP and drop on HP afterwards. They will have to leave the circle and re-enter it to activate the trigger and proc the field.

Yeah, it’s still bugged. I’ve had to re-enter it on many occasions to get it to trigger.

I hope it (actually) gets fixed…it was our only reliable condition removal outside Wilderness Survival. :|

I’ve got 16/19 but it should be 19/19. If it helps, I applied a spare skin of the harpoon gun (which I supposedly hadn’t unlocked) to a random harpoon gun but it stayed at 16/19.

Even when there doesn’t seem to be much of a skill delay, this is so true. The best examples of this for me would be the shockwaves of Teq and the Molten Berserker, where you have to jump (or dodge) so early that your character lands right in the middle of them.

There is definitely a bug with mobs teleporting, I’ve seen it several times in Dry Top and The Silverwastes. I’ve only ever seen it happen with jungle tendrils, dunno if its exclusive to them though.

Turn off the auto attack. There have been literally hundreds of threads about this, search for some.

Turning off the autoattack doesn’t allow you to dodge mid-animation. Sure, it’s a bit easier to avoid getting into that animation when you don’t want to, but it certainly doesn’t fix the issue.

If all they do is consolidate traits, make utilities less dependent on traits, make main hand sword something I can use with auto attack turned on, and up the auto attack on great sword, I’d take back nearly half of all the bad things I’ve ever said about Anet.

That would be so good. Since the new trait system was introduced, every time I decide to play around with the traits I just get depressed. Especially with all the pet traits in Skirmishing when you just wanna longbow snipe in WvW.

Meanwhile on my Guardian for example there are so many handy changes I can make for practically every fractal boss.

The s/d weapon combo is just magical to play. It feels so graceful. The second I put a sword on my ranger I effectively stopped playing all other classes.

How is being glued to the ground is “graceful”? Talking about sword 1.

I’m just leveling ranger, but I already fear that I’ll have to use longsword for dungeons.
Because some youtuber said it’s best for dps, so people will kick you if you use something else

You’re not glued to the ground, you’re in the air for leaping attacks. Once you get the timing down, I think you’ll like it. Use sword 2 and 3, and dagger 4 to dance around your opponents with out ever having to dodge. It’s very graceful.

Sword 2 doesn’t count because it takes longer to cast than half the tells in the game. >=[

Unfortunately that’s a bug. What causes it is when you have a human (probably any racial) skill in one of your utility slots. I reported this bug a long time ago. :| Try swapping Prayer to Kormir to a ranger skill and see if it still happens.

The more offensive your stats while surviving the better. You might find that a zerker greatsword with the dodge in the auto attack and skills 4 and 5 provide enough survivability already.

One of the problems is that rangers often need the active effect of signets, probably along with 1500 longbow range or piercing arrows, traits which are likely to be more appealing than Spotter. Or if they are using Spotter with longbow, chances are the rest of the party won’t be getting the precision.

The other issue that I want to bring up that applies often with the deeply-loathed bearbow pugs is the fact that often times in Arah, for example, their stupid pets can aggro elite mobs. “It’s on passive” pssh.

Personally I’ve seen my pet randomly start running towards an enemy when it was on passive. Although I don’t think it’s the most frequent bug. But it’s definitely happened several times before. I think another possible cause would be auto targeting with melee, where you hit a weapon skill that’s out of range and your pet starts running. Although this wouldn’t apply to bearbows. :P

I’d like to make some suggestions, mainly concerning the ranger:

- Rangers should have the ability to select a set of stats for their pet. One reason for this is that if a ranger wants their pet to have ranged capabilities, they should not have to settle with the stats offered by the devourers or spiders (ie. precision sacrificed for toughness/vitality).

- If a ranger swaps pets shortly before getting out of combat, they are unable to select different pets from the pet menu until pet swapping is available again. This is like being unable to change weapon sets when out of combat because a weapon skill is on cooldown.

- Several of pets’ F2 abilities are lacklustre in their purpose and/or cast time. Rangers are unable to command their pets to activate their basic attack skills at certain times, so rangers are in desperate need of some more beneficial F2 abilities (especially considering the unreliability of pet AI). I believe this has been discussed in depth so I won’t go into details.

- Move Trapper’s Expertise and Trap Potency from Skirmishing to elsewhere (such as Wilderness Survival). If a player wants their build to be largely based on their utilities (ie. 3 traps), having to invest 30 points into precision and critical damage is in no way beneficial since traps deal no direct damage. I would suggest replacing these traits with benefits more appropriate to a precision/critical damage based build, such as a chance for arrows to grant fury when hit.

Whether or not the sword’s auto attack is designed to root the player to the ground, I wanted to point out some current issues:

- If you need to interact in a hurry (eg. revive someone or pick up a conjured weapon), you must wait until the auto attack chain allows you to do so.

- If rangers have been given a dodge in both skills 2 and 3 of their sword, these dodge skills should be ready without delay. Skill #2 takes time after activation to actually dodge. Not only does the ranger currently have to wait until their auto attack permits them to activate this skill (unless they are lucky with timing), they are also helpless for the first half of the animation.

- Lightning Reflexes needs to be reworked. I’ll steal a suggestion from the ranger forums: It should cure crippled, immobilized and chilled. As a skill that aids in the ranger’s survivability, the damage it deals is unnecessary.

- Move the stun breaker from Signet of Renewal to one of the other signets (I would suggest Hunt or Wild). Rangers that need a stun breaker is often (and I’d argue more often than not) during times that immediate condition removal is unnecessary. If this stun break was moved to Signet of the Hunt, players would have an incentive to activate this signet. Alternatively, giving the stun breaker to Signet of the Wild would bring it up to standard with skills like ‘Stand Your Ground’ or ‘Balanced Stance’.

- And concerning stability, I agree with the numerous Elementalists who argue that the cooldown for Armor of Earth, even if reduced to 75 seconds, is too long.

- I’d also like to suggest that Signet of the Wild apply stability to both the ranger as well as the pet without the need for a (grandmaster!) trait, especially since this signet is not a stun breaker.

Lastly, I wanted to make a comparison between two weapon skills of different professions. As these skills serve the same purpose, I am extremely concerned with profession balance.

Charge (Warrior)
Grant swiftness to yourself and allies, while curing chilled, crippled, and immobilized.

Range: 1200
Recharge time: 15s

Charge has half the recharge time as Windborne Speed, yet five times the radius. Why is this? Charge takes ¼ of a second longer to cast but this difference is so minute it is negligible.

There must be more than one type of sound bug because I’m hearing one different from the one in that youtube video (which I have also heard a few times). Mine is just this fuzzy static noise that lasts 1 to 1.5 seconds but it’s also a lot louder than the game volume. It happened 3 times during the final boss (toxic hybrid) at the top of the tower of nightmares if that helps.

Dredge fractal: The three dredge turrets (in the path where you blow up the door, just before Rabsovitch) have the same problem as with AC.

done on purpose so you have to kill them while fighting dredges…(ofcourse there are other ways).

Uncategorised fractal: The electric beams you have to avoid while going up the stairs (just before Old Tom) often hit you when they shouldn’t.

If someone gets hit they do an aoe hitting everything near.

Cliffside: The little explosions along the wooden catwalk just before the final boss hit you when they shouldn’t. Also they often don’t hit you when they explode right under your feet.

1st time you pass, 3 sparks instead of 1 spawns….wait first 3 and go up.

Cliffside still has the melee attack from 1st boss (the one that shoots ranged agony after the attack) hitting at 1200…..but since can evaded it they will tell you L2P everytime you say its a bug.

p.S. New TA….as revamped AC is worse than the original…..did they gave up to make <lvl80 dungeons?

It’s inconsistent though. Guardians for example can use their scepter against the turrets.

With the beams before Old Tom, I always go up alone so nobody is near me (and my pet is stowed :P). I sort of wonder if this is an Australian ping issue because this kind of problem always happens in things like Sanctum Sprint, I’d avoid the booby traps but they’d still be set off.

No idea what caused this but it started either when I respawned from a checkpoint in fractals, or maybe when I got downed and then rallied. I don’t think swapping weapons fixed it but re-equipping did. Having said that, it returned in the following fractal.

It’s the Ghastly bow from the AC vendor if that helps.

I double-clicked my Yakkington’s ring and the panel for selecting its stats said it would be account bound and soulbound on use, but after selecting the stats, it’s soulbound. A lot of people (myself included) will be selecting stats for a different character since they’ve been told it will only be account bound until equipped.

I’m guessing all the other magic find gear has this problem?

I can’t destroy any of those unnamed things and all the data recorders I interact with only give me the options of “—> Continue” and “X Leave”. The only thing I can do is destroy the small lightning turrets that shoot at me.
