I just wanna inform you about some rating issues my guild mates and me had discovered in the fifth PvP season:
1. Comparing Wins / Losses with total played matches

72+69 = 141, but 149 matches played …
As you can see, in the right rating list there are some matches not included. In my case 8. This number is increasing with playing more and more matches.
2. Wrong division

Here you can see, that my guild mate has a rating of 1349 which should be silver and not gold. Is it a rounding issue? ;D

Whichever’s easier for y’all, it’s no biggie having reports on both. I just like having everything in Github so I can have a kanban-style interface for tracking the million things that need to be done.
Yeah that’s absolutely understandable! For myself I think, I will feed you with bugs in GitHub and with ideas and discussions here in forums.

the /commerce/exchange endpoint does not provide the awaited return values.
Example:

Result:

It doesn’t matter, whether I am using gems or coins and the value of the quantity parameter doesn’t play a role too.

in the today’s daily achievements there is an achievement with the id 2816, which is not available.

it is not just the API.
account.guildwars.com, all rss feed urls and so on have some 503 trouble too. JFYI :P
I’m able to successfully request from the Frankfurt datacenter, but I’m seeing errors in the logs, so something’s afoot. Looking into it some more.

I’m not sure, what u did, but since Jan 28 21:14:01 CET it’s working again.
I’m experiencing this problem both on my server in Frankfurt a.M. (Germany) and at home in Berlin (Germany) as well. :/
My last cronjob with an 200 code was at Jan 28 19:20:01 CET. Since a minute afterwards (19:21:01 CET) the WvW API server endpoint respond with an 502 code.

I just wanna inform you, that the API is returning an 502 error.
Is there a possibility to get a downtime history, like i.e. BitBucket (http://status.bitbucket.org/history) is providing it? It should contain a list of all affected endpoints.
It seems not everything is down. The /v2/wvw/matches endpoint is affected, but the /v2/currencies endpoint works alright.

I can confirm this. No arena decorations are placeable and I can not disable the barrier. :/

The core game now is a trial, because you have to pay to extend your account to have access to HoT and all other extension packs which will come. Any questions left?
Core =/= HoT
That is it!! If you’re understand it in a mathematically way better, this is for you:
GW2 Core game = Trial
HoT and further expansions = Buyed Content = Upgraded Trial Account through paying
Edit: You should think about the fact, that the current game (the core game), will be in the future just a piece of the whole game Guild Wars 2.

@ArenaNet, here you have it. All comments are regarding the current state of the game. They do not understand, that free players do not have access to further expansion packs all around the core game, which is accessible now.
They just see the game they’re playing currently and so they notice that a free player does now have access to everything of their game. They do not get it, that there will be not free accessible content soon and in the future.
This fact you were able to prevent.. :/

this post is not about the Free 2 Play part itself, so please do not merge it with the other F2P merged thread. It is about the communication of your marketing division. Thank you.
Today you did a big communication fail when speaking about “free to play”. There are a lot of people out there who are unfortunately not able to read exactly or to understand the facts you gave us. Everything they got in mind today were the words “free to play” and at this moment they switched off their brain and began to flame, spread bad mood and so on.
When collected all facts of the today revealed Free 2 Play part, then you will notice, that this is an extended trial version and not more. You could have prevented the current lack of understanding easily by speaking about this feature as this what is: An “Extended Trial Version”.
You should communicate in all channels “play the Extended Trial Version for free” instead of play the game for free. This should be done even till the smallest detail like this url: https://welcome.guildwars2.com/de/play-for-free. Just replace the word “play” with “trial”. Trial for free! Do this everywhere. Then all the people will understand this topic so much better!

At the moment there is no way to get the guild names. They try to provide a guild api in the next version.
I would agree with it for european worlds at this time… But for the american worlds, that is really strange…
That’s right, treb icons will be displayed for the own team at your map, but this information isn’t really helpful, so I don’t need it in the api. I mentioned the keeps, which are contested or the battle crosses made by open field fights or by knocking at a keep’s gate, u know?
Why is in this idea an authentication necessary? I mean at the end, when I open the map all three servers of a match get the same information… And for other servers it isn’t relevant, because they can’t really “influence” other matches.
I just wanted to write about such request. Features (if these are posible) I would really like to see for each guild member are:
- last time online (I requested this months ago, still nothing) – top priority!
- the amount of influence member earned for guild (to track member activity)
- member since
- percentage of time member representing the guild (to see if member is truly loyal to guild…)These are just few that come to mind. This information would really help manage larger guilds.
These are nice ideas! A dream for guild leaders and statistic freaks, like me!
Ahh, okay thank you, that’s really interesting. But honestly, is there really an event or item which isn’t discovered until now? :P
Edit: I think I got it, with this implementation you hide items, which are in the game, but for example not accessible for players, right?

To get information about open fights or tower sieges and the locations would be very cool, so I could implement a map in the browser like in the game. So I could have the game opened in one monitor and the live wvw map in an other monitor. Is this something, you don’t want, when you actually don’t wanna tell us the wvw events at the moment?
The Events API, like the Item API, only shows events and maps that have been discovered by players.
What does it mean exactly? If one player has discovered all events or items, all events or items will be accessible via the api? So if you implement for example a new map after a patch, it would mean, that in the first minutes not all events of this map would be accessible via the api?
All in all, it sounds like, at end all events and all items will be accessible after a bit of time. I’m right?

That’s a point i’m interested in too. I’ve implemented for our guild a website, which has a lot of organisation tools. Atm, we have to do all tasks twice. For example we have to kick someone at the website and afterwards in the game or vice versa. It would be cool to get access to the game, to our guild, via our website.
This should be very save, for example via access tokens or something like that.
So close >_<
