Did I say wvw meant even numbers? No. Did you say that every EU force runs from you? Yes. If they’re running, it’s a kitten good idea because you run way more numbers than any of them. I will never say that wvw requires equal numbers, but you should really try to realize why you don’t get the fights you want.

PvDoor? BG ticking 350 ppt for 1 hour, while SoR euro coverage can tick 500 ppt for 3~4 hours.

Everybody knows that some asian guilds in SoR aren’t playing today (maybe due to the new update), so don’t try to make a fake lack of coverage.

It has been this way all week/last week/the week before for SEA timezone.
It is indeed a lack of coverage. JQ and BG know this and they make the most of it. Fair enough, I would do the same.

Had fun earlier in EB managing to hold SM for a few more point ticks. Nice work by the brave SoR who fought bravely through the lag

JQ is clearly outmanned, but SOR will be the ones who will regret the stack more in the end.

I know for sure that all those 40 JQ who defended garrison with me learned a lot. And not a single one of them is a bandwagoneer. They are the hard core that keeps running back from spawn to garri to keep the circle contested against the 70 SOR that are roaming around there with Omega golems. SOR’s EU guild will get used to outnumbering their opponents, will get soft and sloppy, and will eventually be caught out cold when some other server recruits enough EU players to even the numbers. You get better at WvW from being outnumbered, not the other way round.

Luckily, the EU guilds are fortunate enough to log-on to being outnumbered by the SEA forces of the other two servers. Lots of good fights to be had then.
The big push in PPT only tends to happen once the EU and NA coverage starts to overlap.

That is my experience anyway.. but what do I know.

Have been back for 2 weeks from an extended break from the game.
No jokes, I am having so much more fun in the US T1 match-up than I ever was in EU.
You guys should whine less, and be thankful that your top 3 servers are so evenly matched and competitive.

This is a strange WvW week..
I am enjoying how close the servers seem to be at the moment though. We should all be pleased that our T1 match-up isn’t just a blow-out.

A lot of what you say is true, and with Deso being a big PvE server I feel like keeping PuG’s involved can only be a benefit.
However, like what Mizu says above… The huge huge huge zerg vs zerg fights just aren’t fun. The game unfortunately caters too much to “blobbing” together at the moment.

It is not any individual guild’s fault, it is a by-product of how the game is. I agree that the larger guilds should try and minimise the instances of one whole map grouping up together in one big zerg.
Shunning and yelling at PuGs to not follow certain groups is a way to do it… but you can afford to do that on a server with a ridiculous amount of WvW guilds. A luxury we do not have on Desolation.

The arguing here about guilds forming up big zergs, having multiple groups per border, morning capping, lagg. Most if not all of those issues would be fixed by going to a lower tier, but it seems pride is so strong that people at all cost must be in tier 1 despite all the disadvantages. Then afterwards complain about them on the forums, makes sense I guess.

Only thing to read here is servers and guilds bashing each other in order to keep up their own ego.

I think a lot of people, including me, enjoy all the drama and trash talk that comes with higher-tier match-ups.
It is mostly nonsense talk.. but it is fun to read
Server/Guild pride is a big part of what keeps people playing WvW. Even through all the current performance issues the game has.

The issues you speak of would not be “fixed” by going to a lower tier. The reason these guilds fight in the high tiers is because they are the best, most dedicated guilds in WvW. They should be fighting each other because otherwise, there would be no competition for them.

Mate, you got 38+ IRON and another 12+ pugs on your teamspeak. Plus those that tag along without joining comms. You stood outside the keep with 50+ trying to blobb our 23.
So yes, we called the zone and gave you a taste of your own medicine. Resulting in a clear wipe with equal numbers (was 23 RG + ~15-20 RNV + ~10 BG) and IRON ending the official raid.

As Cyril said, the offer for an equal number GvG is still open.

If you are getting our exact numbers from TS then you are doing it wrong.
I think every server is vastly over-estimating the amount of players.
Just drop the whole ego thing. Enjoy the fights.

The tend to have weeks like this. I guess they just decided this week to have a “less hardcore” week as it is impossible for them to drop to T2.
Still early days though.

I wasn’t really fussed either way, but I am now really happy that we wont have a couple of weeks of awful one-sided match-ups that it was looking like were going to happen.

Why is it only Deso whining about Vizunah in here? From what I’ve seen, you don’t fight any different than Viz by now – zerging & hiding in towers. Every server does that to a certain extent, so no need to whine about it.

Everyone knew what the match is gonna be like – plain boring.

I think, from what i’ve seen, every server you have fought against recently has had the same frustrations.
Elona and SFR have voiced their opinions too.

It is working, so there’s no reason to change what you do. Don’t deny us our venting about it on the forums -_-

Trash talking aside. I think it is just a shame how Vizunah manage to make WvW mind-numbingly boring.
You guys do make sure you win, and we all know how you do it. But it completely kills all fun out of the match-up.

There are many different types of guilds on Deso, from super-hardcore WvW-ers to guilds that only do WvW events 3-4 evenings a week.

As a server, in my opinion Deso has pretty much air-tight solid WvW core, so you can’t hope to “drown” it. We are not going anywhere. T2 or not, no matter how things play out this week, I’m sure it’s not the last one for Deso in T1.

That is what I like most about our server. In the past we could have gone south and given up like Far Shiverpeaks, Blacktide, and now Arborstone. But we haven’t, and will not.

It may have looked suspicious, but we all have to be careful with jumping to conclusions on these sort of things.
The guild in question have come on the forums and explained their side of the story, so that is fair enough.
Lets just drop it. In my opinion, SFR shouldn’t really have any incentive to use foul play because they can hold their own perfectly well without cheating.

Also keep in mind that some of us on Deso might be more vigilant/sensitive about cheating at the moment after the Blacktide goings on last week.

Naturally peak-time there are more people online in the guild.
Therefore a guild farm will have more people. More people in a guild farm = more gold raised.

Avoiding opponent when you know they’re too strong for you is a totally legit tactic, np. But the respect I had for deso or the Iron guild has gone away, and is having a beer with the respect I had for VS (this one lad has been drinking for a looooog time now^^).
