Sorry. I do not want to attack anyone personally, but …
I wrote this thread to motivate the Players that still are on Gunnar’s Hold, and definitely not for motivating to switch Server.
Well good. Then don’t. No one is attacking you.
A friendly invitation to join our forums is hardly a motivation to switch servers.

For the folks in KISS who’d like to join our forums, you can find us here:
Welcome, one and all!

There are three exits (minimum) out of every spawn point. If you’re the kind of player who just runs out the front gate into the enemy zerg, over and over, without ever looking around … well, then I daresay you have earned your frustration.
Genius
Not to sound arrogant or anything …
Too late.
Genius
I know the people who took the Orb (from NSP) and there was no hacking.
Almost a 100K lead and you have to cry hacks when we get one little, dinky victory.
Stay classy, Darkhaven.
Genius
Name calling and insults against the terms of use. I never singled anyone out, but you have – and that’s against the forum guidelines.
Genius
Reported, yes. Nothing I could screen-shot, since I wasn’t standing there when the hacker struck.
Part of the problem, though? I think not. I play fair. I call out cheaters and I report when I see it.
Genius
Sorry you don’t like my opinion. Don’t care.
I know what I saw. I was there. Were you there? If not, you can’t possibly tell me what I saw or even give an excuse.
Orb got hacked and within moments your server mysteriously mobilized at exactly the spot they needed to be on? On TWO DIFFERENT BORDERLANDS within minutes of each other?
Yeah man, tell me another how the vast majority of people there were just “unaware” and “playing as they normally would.”
I have a lot of patience for a lot of things, but cheating isn’t one of them.
Genius
Yeah, I was in one of those Borderlands last night when the Orb just magically vanished from our castle and mysteriously appeared on the other side of the map seconds later.
I saw the “coincidental GoM zerg” …
No, you people are cheaters. Your entire WvW community is in on it, and you’re a liar (or not invited to the shenanigans) if you say otherwise.
If you see something like that happen on your team, then join in and take advantage, you are NO BETTER than the hacker who started it.
Genius
Don’t let the unfairness of the match-up sour you to the whole server. We’re not all spawn camping kittenheads.
Like I said, I won’t be back until the next rotation or something seriously changes in to power shift.
I wish both servers the best of luck.
Genius
Yeah, I’m kind of attached to the Yak’s. I was just being kitteny about the queue last night.
If it makes you feel better, I’m a dedicated 3Dubber who doesn’t enjoy the current situation any more than our opponents.
Winning is fun. A couple of hours of crushing victory is fun. Three days of pointless spawn-camping is not only NOT FUN it’s also monumentally lame: for those doing it and those being subjected to it.
Genius
Yak’s Bend 3Dubber here too. I was there Friday night and early Saturday AM. It started out a LOT of fun, close game, lots of fighting. Then I guess everyone on the other servers went to sleep.
When I got back to the game about 10AM Saturday, I was flabbergasted at the route that took place. Yak’s owned every node on all three maps, except the glitched Keep (Darkhaven?) we couldn’t take.
Honestly, I just PVE’d the rest of the weekend. Every time I checked, it was still as bad. I don’t play to dominate other players, I play to have fun and hope my teammates and enemies alike are enjoying themselves (Yeah, I’m one of those rare PVPers who don’t take it personally)
But the current state of affairs isn’t fun for me, and I suspect it’s even less so for those on the other end of it. When I finally got in last night (after FOUR HOURS in the queue), the Borderlands looked almost as bad but at least Eternal was in play, so I hope you guys made a comeback there.
In short, I love WvW, but the current match-up is about as much fun as the day we played Denravi and Isle. Which is to say, totally lopsided and not very much fun at all.
Genius
… to everyone who transferred here in the last two days, thank you! We appreciate the four hour queues to get into WvW.
insert suitably sarcastic and caustic remark
Genius
Taelyn, I see you in there right beside me every night, so I know you feel the same pain.
I agree with everything you wrote. Now, if we can just get some Yaks on the forums to READ those tips, we’d be in good shape.
And thanks Phwap, I’ll check that site out and spread the word!
Genius
Okay so longer matches start tonight, and the Yak’s have been flailing around without leadership so far as I can tell.
Are there any organized WvW-centric guilds on the Bend who are gearing up for these games? Does anyone have a public Vent, Mumble or TeamSpeak server we can share with other dedicated guilds/players?
We did very well in the first few days, but have floundered for the most part since. I mean, we do “okay” every now and then, but I’m ready to start whoopin’ some major kitten in the coming weeks.
Holla back, Yaks!
Genius
Yes, you can queue for all the Borderlands and Eternal at once.
Genius
Wow, thank you Mr Tallman! I love the concept of the Engineer and plan to stick in there for the long haul. It’s great to have a resource like this so I don’t have to “trial and error” my way through it.
Can we report this for a sticky?
Genius
Wait … you mean there are BOOKS?!?!
Logging over to Amazon in 3 … 2 … 1 …
Genius
On top of that we’re being farmed all day and night on the spawn point in some borderlands.
I bet I’ve said this three dozen times in team chat this week alone …
“You DO know there is a back path out of the spawn point, right? You DO know you don’t have to run to the bottleneck and choke, right?”
Genius
Heh. One of the first games after Launch did last three days. And Yak’s Bend was playing Boralis Pass that time and yeah, we pretty much owned the whole map for two of those days.
Of course, we can’t seem beat anyone else these days … but I digress.
Genius
Topknots are far superior to the other choices.
Genius
Funny, I’m in the opposite boat. I tried the other four races before ever trying Asura. 50 levels later, I’ve decided to just delete the others who came before and go “All Azura, All the Time!”
I liked Metrica Province. The Sylvari noobzone is also pretty sweet. The others just weren’t to my liking – especially the Charr. I wasn’t feeling that at all.
Genius
Zojja is Felicia Day
I knew I recognized that voice!
Genius
World vs World will also give u lots of xp specially when the teams are balanced.
Just what I was going to say. I joined WvW at level 12 just to check it out. That’s pretty much all I’ve done since and I made level 50 last night. I just upgrade with drops and the occasional piece of badge/racial gear.
The questing will be there when the queues are slow. WvW is too much fun to miss.
Genius
I dunno Freelancer. My server has a decent mix of timezones on it, which timezone should get matchmaking priority?
Mine.
Obviously.
;)
Genius
Just tone down the XP reward to something minuscule.
People just like the little “ding” sound and the medal popping up. Give ’em that and … kitten, I dunno … 50 XP and call it a day.
Better yet, put a diminishing return on it like the anti-farm software. You only get full credit once every hour or so, then progressively less and less. The system would know if that’s all you are doing and eventually cut you off for the night.
Genius
My Engi motto has become “screw it, I’ll just drop some turrets” and that is not the Engi I signed up for.
Heh. Oddly that’s exactly the kind of Engineer I wanted to play the minute I saw it and I’m still having a blast at level 50.
Diff’rent strokes.
Genius
Throwing my two pesos in for ‘great game, having a blast, don’t change a thing bu’cept what needs fixin!"
Other than the WvW queue (to be expected) there is nothing I don’t enjoy about Guild Wars 2.
Genius
Skritt, no doubt about it. Those little dudes are cool as all kitten.
Genius
I’m with Handd. All I want to do is WvW. No interest in small scale PVP or questing. I just want to participate in the war. I’m also a 9-5 Work day guy, so when I log in at 7PM after dinner, I usually give it 10-15 for a queue, and if nothing pops in that time, I log out and go play a different game.
