I’m sure I’ve said this before, but mags are perfect for T1.

All they do is blob on one map and run 2-3 guilds together with a karma train, then come on the forums and complain about how everyone else is blobbing.

I never said anything, but since you’re trying to call someone out here, I’ll take my turn too. The GvG with RE though unofficial, was the most clkitten play and waste of time we’ve done with any guild. From the 20 minute waits between rounds where RE members rage quit and you had to find replacements, to your fellow guildies hard downing my guys after they went over to you to clear any stacks they had every single time we beat you, to you guys coming over to recount HOPE’s numbers and taking your sweet time to check out our comp (wouldn’t care but this was in between rounds and we just wanted to fight), the respect my guild has for that GvG is pretty much non existent.

Yup. You described just another standard GvG with RE.

Lesson learned: Don’t bother with unnoficial GvG if you dont wanna have people unfamiliar with GvG making social faux pas and switching out constantly.

Otherwise the talking about the score is all silly. It was a meaningless gvg.

TC is the only server that runs 3-4 commanders on EB on reset. Every other server blobs. I would like to see anyone even try to dispute that, before I call them Jim McJim

CERN, EP are two fantastic guild that purposely run without extra numbers. RE is normally split in half for the same reason.

I understand the numbers are horribly unfair, and at times the blob will form because there simply aren’t enough objectives to enemies left to split the TC forces, but I wish everyone would understand people are at least trying.

Feel free to post ‘jimmies rustled’ etc. T1.5 is a pain but all this whine is making me sad.

Marathon runner here, apparently. RE asking for the bad-mouthing guilds to put their money where their mouth is. We are available for Official GvGs, 15v15. I mean everytime we face each other, I send out official challenges via gvg.com and no one accepts. I send PMs and in-game mails and either receive no reply or some reason that the guild cannot do an “official” gvg. Then when I see said guild on the forum trying to buff their lil ego’s, its sort of hilarious. We love to fight. Other night I was running a whopping 12 of us after our prime time into a zerg of 30ish [VR], who were so proud of their accomplishment of defeating us they spam laugh after they spent the entire night running from our primetime group that had equal #s. I guess they redeemed their hurt pride.

Lol is this the even numbers you’re talking about VR running from? This is all you 2 did all night, wouldn’t stay more than 10 feet from each other.

I think the jump from T2 to T1 will be a shock for any guild. You simply just don’t get enough open field fights in T2 at the moment. The mantra on all sides seems to be ‘if outnumbered or even, run back to tower’.

I can understand this, but its hard to get any better just rolling with superior numbers. I know its easy to say this being on TC but last night in FABL when we had lost a lot of people and were fighting 30v60, I learnt a lot more about staying tight on commander and being fast with stun-breaks or water fields than I ever did when it is the other way around.

I think guild pride has a lot to do with it too. If people were more willing to wipe in order to learn from it this tier would get a lot better a lot quicker.

I think this is something the EU servers got right a long time ago. They seem to care less overall for the PPT and just play for the fights in order to get better.

so what if you’re a little bit outnumbered in t1, doesn’t mean you have to imbalance yourself for everything else.

You keep assuming TC is recruiting all these guilds. I think it’s more fair to say recently some guilds who have been looking to move have chosen TC. It’s not like TC made their decision :P

Either way servers will always be stronger/weaker than one another, it’s the system that keeps putting us together that I would complain about, rather than the server who happens to be placed against you.

Yeh thanks to RET and RAM (RETAM? RAMET? There’s gotta be a name for you guys…) for the open field fights. They were a lot of fun! You guys are working really well together considering how recently RAM transferred. FABL is definitely the place to be for good fights this matchup.

Also, I freaking love the TC militia. I don’t think there is another militia in gw2 you could fight vs 2 organized guilds with and still have a good fight. Amazing watching that vid and seeing lots of them stick on the commander even when they aren’t on voice comms.

This matchup has been way better than DB in terms of open field.

Matchups have not ‘balanced’ themselves after more than a month. We still have T4 servers jumping to T2.

Time to fire the guy that decided to implement Glicko’s beautiful system in such a ugly way. Then reduce the weight on the random number roll.

I’d go to FA. They lost some NA coverage and could do with strengthening. The way the game is headed, T1 and T2 are going to be the best choice for good regular competition. Anything below that and you just don’t know if the other servers will turn up or not.

TC is a very strong tier 2 server, no where even close to a tier 1 server.

TC likes to think of itself as a “tier 1.5” server when in reality its “tier 1.8”.

TC beats T2 servers harder than it loses to T1 servers. In this case I think “tier 1.5” is a decent assessment. Its just the gap between T1 and T2 is sooo astronomically huge and TC is right in the middle of it.

Still dissapointed by the boring matchups for weeks on end now. I think JQvDBvTC might be at least a little fun. JQ would obviously destroy us but the fights would be a lot better than the last few weeks in T2 and I think we could at least put up a half decent fight during NA.

The idea is fine. Having no limiters and not having the score reflect the purpose of taking points off higher ranks servers is the problem. And that all falls with Anet.

If TC started this week with 0 points, Maguuma 100k, SoS 200k (i.e. handicapping the servers based on their expected performance) then maybe some people might care to play a bit more. But its still a horribly uneven matchup.

At this point the system seems worse than WULD…..

Anet need to sort this out. T2 hasn’t had a decent matchup in over a month.

Please for your own sake don’t rush it like this. Take your time to scout the servers/read their forums/speak with the server population. You will find it surprisingly easy to find which servers are a healthy community and which aren’t just from a couple of days of looking.

Yes. It definitely goes both ways. I wouldn’t personally bring up an exploit on the forums, but now that it has been mentioned anyway I saw this repeatedly happen on monday/tuesday in EB, often 5-6 people or more taking part.

The only thing you can do is report and move on, and try not to bring it up in a confrontational/accussational manner on the forums, because then you get all this (see last two pages).

IMO purposefully exploiting something repeatedly is a lot than accidentely glitching through a gate, but at the end of the day TC commanders apologised for the behaviour of the militia (for which I commend them) and the bug has now been reported.

Now we just need the mods to cut this off.
