Yeah was noticing a lot of lag earlier for me. Since i couldn’t do much i just messed with it some more to see and it seems that lag was the main cause of it.
I tried looking through the builds post which is a Cluster kitten of a nightmare to look through lol. I’m interested in a build that is heavy DPS and focused on Sword/Focus and Great-sword weapons. If anyone knows one can you point me in the right direction.
PS I’m use to the Mesmers build post which is so nice and neatly put together lol.
Same. Go to the Statue of Dwayna between the bank and BLTP in DR. I used the Walkway in the center of them which is just in front of the statue. I would start in one spot and just whirlwind back and forth normally by the 5th or 6th time im no longer where i started.
Was done with no buffs or statuses of any kind.
Was wondering if Whirlwind Attack was busted or something. Noticed Today while i was just messing around in DR, the length that i traveled between each use was less then normal about 60% of the time. While about 5% of the time it would travel just a bit farther. Is this intended?
i use tanky build for wvw and have no problems with any other professions. Even those annoying thief’s they tend to run away now.

Traits i use are;
Spite:
V for Retaliation in DS
IX for Training of the master for harder hitting minions.
Death:
III for faster minion recasts
X for Increased minion health
XI for Death Nova
Blood:
II for better Siphoning Health damage and return(works well with 15 point trait)
VII For minion siphoning health(also increased by II trait)
Armor is Sentinels with Dolyak runes can also use Lich runes for more minions.
Weapons are Sentinels as well Staff and D/D with bloodlust and battle sigils on them.
Jewelry is Soldiers with crest of solders if not using Ascended.
Well ran some tests with some friends and will have to say MMs are very nice in Fractals. Had no AR on her at all but her Minions didn’t even take any damage from Agony it seems. If it did it wasn’t noticeable. Tested some PvE champ slaying as well and found MMs to be extremely nice as i was able to take most of them down solo. Damage was on average 3-6k per hit so not as powerful as a zerker but 5 times more survivable. So MMs are very powerful if done right.
Was thinking of running some fractals with my New MM necro and wanted to know if Agony just kills the minions outright? Don’t want to take a MM into fractals just for the minions to die in one hit.
The way i see it, for a person who is truly building a legendary, it requires about 2 months of game play to achieve and in this requirement the only wvw you have to do is the Map completion. With the requirement of lvl 30 world rank to get gift of battle, they have removed various forms of grief systems from the game. Lets face it if you aren’t a wvw player you where always dying or enduring hours of torture just to achieve the 500 badge requirement it use to cost before you could get them in achievement chests. The addition of Achievement chests actually made the work to get gift of battle way easier to get. The addition of wvw rank 30 to get the Gift to me seems like a good addition to even the work between wvw players and pve players to achieve the same goal. The way i see it is PvE players are just crying that they have to do Map completion in wvw, but thats also true for wvw players lol they to have to stop doing what they like and do Map completion in the open pve world.
Another way to look at it is to look at the changes in the game.
FIRST it use to just cost 500 badges which ment pve players had to actually do wvw or risk the torment of being griefed while trying to do the 4 JPs in wvw, and wvw players had to spend hours on end outside of wvw in the open world just to get the Materials to lvl up their crafting and to get the T6 mats.
AFTER that many changes kept tipping the scale towards pves playstyle as the only viable way to get everything for a legendary since boss chests and achievement chests made it so that pve players never had to do anything more then wvw map completion. While wvw players had to still spend all that time outside of wvw to get a legendary.
NOW With all the changes and such PvE and WvW players only have to do the map completion in the other mode of game play that they don’t like. The time pve players have spent getting the other mats and such for the legendary they should be close to if not way past 5000 achievement points which will give them all the laurels and badges they need to get to rank 30 and buy their gift.
BTW Rank 30 wvw lvl requires only 26 liquid wxp which costs 52 laurels and 1300 badges to get all 26 of them. You should have over 60 laurels and 2000 badges just from dailies and achievement chests in 2-4 months.
So why is everyone crying about getting to lvl 30 world rank, OR is pve players now crying that they can’t get a free set of exotic gear with all those badges they get free from doing achievements while wvw players have to still actually earn the badges for the armor?
Just hope this actually gets looked at as my entire guild would pay out the butt for this type of booster lol. Since my guild almost always pays real cash for gems to show support for such an awesome game they would make atleast $1000 or more on just my little group probably more since i would spend about (if it was say about 20$ for a booster) $200. Now if it was $50 worth of gems for the booster it would cost me about $500 though that would mean i would have to buy them over the course of a few months since i can’t just drop $500 on a game in one month lol, but i assure you i would still pend that much on this type of booster for T3 armor.
Make a gem store item that adds the flamekiss effect to all T3 armors for all races. I would wager a lot of dough that this type of item would sell faster then hotcakes(Pancakes ftw). Another idea, what about doing a Icekiss type effect as well. Could also make the flames dye-able so we could change the color of the fire or ice effect to our liking.
My guild and I started running around some today in Cursed Shore and have had nothing but constant lag spikes and DCs. Seems to be happening in the other maps as well but really noticeable in Cursed Shore. Anyone else having this issue. I would say its my crappy Net(Time Warner Cable), but my whole guild is getting the same issue.
Just though of something that could be extremely fun. Have a massive wvw type costume brawl. That i think would be fun to see.
So i noticed alot of ppl are transfering servers during season one of wvw to spy for their home world. A suggestion i would make to help stop this would be that if someone transferred servers during a Season of WvW they are ineligible to receive any rewards at the end of the season. This would keep each world focused on playing for their respected worlds and make the matches more fun.
So Glad we now have griefing in Guild Wars 2. It just didn’t feel like a MMO without all that griefing. Not only can you now Grief your own Guildies because you want to kill a mob fast to get your rewards, but now even pugs can come in and grief you. Round of applause for all the griefing going on in Guild wars 2.
Wanted to ask if it’s really worth doing anymore. I have noticed drops in WvW are by far the crappiest in the game. 5 hours in WvW and you might be lucky to get one rare or exotic, while 5 hours in pve you can get 8 or more. Also noticed that it use to take an hour to get into WvW on any of the 4 maps, though now you are can get in instantly.
Want to improve WvW make it where you get a rare from taking towers and keeps atleast once per day(just like the world bosses). Bet alot more people will take part in WvW then.
I have enough to buy Guild Heroes Banner. Now here is my question can i get them and use them now even though my guild doesn’t have them unlocked? And does it allow others to use the banner once i activate it.
I have noticed that since the last update that i can’t play in Metrica Province. I keep getting DCed every time. More so during Fire ele event. I can play everywhere else just fine event the other world events are working great when i can get to them since i keep getting put in overflow. Any idea why Metrica Province doesn’t like me?
Been reading alot about the new laurel infusions, but i want to know does karmic infusion stack with itself say if i have it on more then one piece of jewelry will it stack. Also does it stack with other buffs like the guild banners and such. Now im asking this question as i generally want to know this, and i do not want to know about the other infusions so please keep the topic on topic. Don’t need another useless thread where everyone seems to constantly go off topic.
Same my FPS drops bad now and p2 seems to be bugged to hell hear p3 is like that as well so haven’t even tried it.
I just want to know if its illegal or not since i’m reporting it atm. Would be nice if Anet would let us know since i don’t want to report stuff that they allow.
Is Multiboxing against the rules? I reported a few for it since the only real reason to do Multiboxing is to sell the accounts later when you have them up to 80 or something. Another reason is for farming mats and flooding the market with them it.
Was wondering if any other groups have this issue with legendary weapons or not. We have a group of us who run CoF quite a lot, and on times we need to take a pug with us. Normally this isn’t a big deal, but as of late we stopped allowing people with legendary weapons into our group as 9/10 times they are terrible at playing their class. As a group we just don’t want to take the chance that the pug bought theirs with cash as is id say about 50-70% of legendary owners did. Big props to those that earned theirs and can actually play the class the way they should. So do others look at legendary owners as the new noob symbol in the game as we do lol?
Well i agree with most that i just can’t seem to like Trahearne for the fact that I who is the hero becomes someone elses lackey. What gets me the most though, is that we get no response from Anet on why they choose to have trahearne lead. I could probably like trehearne more if Anet would chime in some on this thread about why they choose to progress the story the way they did. For Story reasons i just don’t see why Trahearne had to take the lead. I mean yeah i hated that kormir became the god when we did all the work to kill abaddon, but i understood why. If the PC became the god then that would mean the end of their story. But for this i just can’t see how it would effect the story if the PC became the marshal and Trahearne the commander. So for now im just going to wait and hope that Anet will chime in on this or if they get the expansion right.
This is a Solid point. Our guild started out with 100 members and now we are down to around 20 just cause most want things that a group oriented yet all we see is solo solo solo. I don’t really feel the MMO part of this game since most of the time I’m spent either soloing or having to be with random people. Love the game just sucks all my friends are going to other games cause there isn’t much group stuff. The Mad kings labyrinth map was awesome. We loved going down in it as a big group and have a blast running around it for hours. I thought wintersday would be a blast if they had something like this but the only group event we get is the 5 paths of the dungeon that doesn’t even give good rewards after your first time through. The more this game becomes a solo aspect the more people i see leaving just sucks the more i think about it.
Wow a lot of the typical whining on legendaries
-too hard to get
-it’s a grind
-it makes you OPPeople want legendaries because they look nice and they make you stand out. When everyone has legendaries then that doesn’t look unique at all. The ‘WOW’ factor is gone.
And then Anet would be forced to make another tier of legendaries, and more people would cry…
I’ve spent 700 hours on this game so far and I have my legendary. It’s humorous when a casual with 200 hours thinks he deserves a legendary just as much as those who actually worked hard and deserved it.
I would be impressed that you got your legendary in under 700 hours of game play if not for the kid i met who owned one after only playing the game for 3 days. Your legendary weapon is not so awesome anymore, now that people can own them the same day they buy GW2.
I wish legendary weapons where really legendary. Right now Legendary weapons are nothing more then a grind on time for karma and a lot of gold. I kind of think the person who labeled these weapons as legendary where 5th graders as nothing about acquiring one is a legendary task, hence why even though i have the money and a god awful amount of karma I won’t get one cause i don’t really feel like its a true accomplishment.
Now give me a dungeon that 4 or 5 times harder then the hardest dungeon in game and make it always changing either everyday or maybe every few days and i get an item that i can use to get say 1 of 4 pieces of a legendary weapon to craft in the forge. That would truly be a status symbol. The game as it is now is becoming no better then most pay to play games where who ever has the most time and money can have all the cool stuff. I mean come on i have run across 5 websites now who actually sell legendary weapons(reported all 5 of them but they still in business).
I love this game but now the spark is just fading away. Anet shouldn’t be making 5th grade mistakes like this. To acquire a legendary weapon should be something of legend and soul bound on acquire for that matter. Was stupid to make everything but the precursor weapon soul bound then to turn around and let the finished product be sold on TP or mailed off.
Anet you guys really didn’t think a lot of what you did through did you. You guys should have take more time with the game then releasing it so soon(I loved you guys so i would have waited that is for sure). Game came out half broke, Halloween update and events all broke a lot of the time, and lets not forget how bad Lost shores was. I don’t know whats going on but you guys are losing your fans. I see less and less people on my server everyday(spent 2 days running around 5 SBI server maps and barely saw 10 people on them). Sorry for the rant. I’m positive i will get some flame for it even though i love Guild Wars, but i just had to speak my mind. Anet will probably not even respond or maybe they will but it doesn’t look like they are really take the fans serious anymore.
Since about 2 weeks ago my Load time has gotten twice as long, and I’m also crashing and freezing up on load screens. Anyone else have that issue?
The wiki says it resets every 24 hours but thats a lie, as it respawns 24 hours after you hit it. You can check it out here on the wiki site. Either the wiki is lying or its bugged.

I was planning on using Karma for my culture gears, but now they go for gold instead so what should I use my Karma on. I already have many sets of exotic gear and weapons so don’t need to spend it there(Don’t care for the look of the exotic karma gear anyway). Got all the recipes as i went through the maps completing events and hearts so have no need there. Got tons of of the mats as well so no need to buy them they don’t cost much to begin with anyway. Only like one legendary weapon and its for my 5th character so won’t be going for that anytime soon. So now that the only thing that was worth spending karma on(Cultural gear) is gone what do we do with all this left over karma?
My Crashing seems to come with a Garbled sound and a black screen for about 2 secs then nothing. Get no error messages and have to manually cut power to the PC to cut it back on. Also ran 3d mark vantage to test my graphics card and CPU. Both passed with flying colors. I run a Athlon II X4 645 Processor 3.10 ghz, A Nvidia Geforce 9800 gtx+ graphics card, with 4gb ram.

I’m having the same issue now as well. Not sure what is causing it but it is GW2 that is crashing my PC. This all just started today. Really hope this goes away as i love this game.
