You don’t need a “valid reason” to quit the game. It’s your free time — use it as you like. Anyhow, sounds like a good time for break, if all you’re doing is signing in for AP.

Yes that’s true. I really do need a break from 4 yrs of GW2 playing continuously. The valid reason is for my self justification to keep my self accountable since I publicly declared it.

I have tried to stop playing lots of times but kept logging back in like an addiction, one of the main reasons was not doing the dailies feels like a waste of the AP opportunities.

I am not a hard core player (although the AP points may appear to say otherwise) that has to get all the APs done that will require me lots of effort. 90% of the APs I accumulated are from the easy ones.

I have been noticing since yesterday that the Daily completion AP was not awarding properly. Yesterday I only got 5APs instead of the normal 10AP today, I was awarded 0AP for the completion.

It would be funny if the tremors are caused by the dragons getting indigestion from too much magic flowing around.

So maybe on the next update FGS will have more Jormag crystal ice droppings during the claw event.

Would be quite odd if it then turned out to be Kralkatorrik or Bubbles..

It could possibly be signs of Jormag then they’ll name the next expansion Fire and Ice pertaining to Primordus and Jormag. Or Flame and Frost if they want to re-use the title.

I think the devs are still fixing the bugs that were introduced in this update that they are not completely focused on this bug since it works partially. Probably why the lack of response.

The current events seems like a punishment game from how I see it. previous current events are designed to punish players for not joining in while the event is still fresh so they will have a hard time getting achievements now, and this new current event seems to punish players for trying to get the achievement done in one day. (Disclaimer: this is a sarcastic joke not to be taken seriously)

My experience is those “homing missiles” goes even beyond a player’s maximum attack range which is really annoying, and you can only dodge at a limited time.

For consolation, at least they do not attack the mailer pigeons. It will be very annoying if they shot down the pigeons selling your items to the TP.

It has been more than 24 hours since the reset that NPC has not moved from forstgorge. I think there could be a bug on her. It would be bad if her cycle would be 2 weeks on the next update, people would just be waiting at Snowden for nothing if that were true.

It would be nice to let players know when the NPC should move to another map so that we don’t waste time waiting for nothing and enjoy the other parts of the game more.

Also it would be helpful if the developers would add a UI tracker for the current events so that players are informed any changes on the events they still need to participate in.

Like in the last current event update it was really a waste of time waiting for the crazed moa for hour for it not to spawn in Snowden, and had to do lots of map hoping in order that you may get lucky that it spawns. The Anomaly was given better treatment since it spawn a message where it appears which helps.

Honestly, I like the feature in GW1 that it alerts the player that they have been logged in for a certain amount of time and asks them to take a break, it may be annoying for some but it shows the developers care for the player. in GW2, doing these kinds of “waiting” events makes you feel that the devs just want you to log in for the sake of the surprise of the randomness if the event will spawn or not.

We now have trolls purposely placing things on the ground to make the achievement harder, please advise.

I was in the same event earlier the guy also dumped a lot of fireworks making sure that it will be harder for everybody else.

Honestly, I think this type of achievement is too competitive for PvE does not really promote the cooperative foundation that the PvE play type which game was designed for.

Legendary Prec bugs [Merged]

I have some issues with some of the legendary collections:

1. Moot – it requires the Giant Shark to appear which is and event that requires 2 events in timberline falls to fail for it to appear. Aren’t events meant to succeed? if so in order to get this collection, players have to fail intentionally to get this collection. To top it all, there are other players who need to do events and you cannot block them from participating nor get angry too much for letting them do what the design is supposed to let them do.

2. Minstrel – Orrian Chicken Egg. Again, same predicament. if you succeed the event you get to buy a part for the Predator. if you fail, you get a chance to be egged by the vet orrian chicken. Guess, what players choose…

3. Predator – Scarlet’s secret lab : Part cannot be found.
– Decrypting the console at bloodtide : computer logs out after being ordered to decrypt.

4. Kraitkin – Although it is not a bug or design problem, but who has a lot of time to wait and chance when the dune soarer to appear. It is a timed boss which is very hard to kill, it is a boss where it can appear anywhere in the prospect valley area and it has no time schedule which could mean it could not appear for weeks. To be fair this is not a balanced achievement collection compared to the other legendaries. I feel that this collection is better at vol 3 than 1

A general issue is that junk is piling up on inventory. there are items that are already in the collection that you still keep getting, there are no further details if they are useable elsewhere or just junk. like the ore for the incinerator, red iris flower (you can pick up multiple ones after leave one for gwen), flowers for kudzu (not sure what to do with them)

I am not truly complaining but I am requesting the devs to take a look on some of the items in the collection and reconsider. Maybe put alternatives like the undead shark for the spear you can get it at straits of devastation (where 9/10 it is ignored and you as well) or sparkfly (where in 7/10 times just 1 map message people come rushing to you)

Personal Story Restoration update

I noticed that during leveling prior to lvl 80 the next level reward tool tips shows that Chapter 8 of the personal story is unlocked at lvl 79 but it is really unlocked at lvl 80.

Also the Cleansing of Orr arc in Chapter 8 is still at level 70 so completing these rewards the player with level 70 gear which is unusable (good thing it is sell-able and salvageable) most of the time since higher gear have dropped during the course of leveling from 70-80 and the first few rewards of the earlier story instances.

The solo arah story dungeon needs a little work in the airship stages since all the NPCs are hiding inside the ship not helping out while the deck is overrun with undead. The easiest way I found to survive is to pull them into the bridge then only Caithe reacts and help, well in one circumstance the guard in front helped after he was hit by enemy AoE.

Just a request, I hope that the story dungeons be made solo-able like the Arah dungeon and be part of the Personal story chain to make the lore and story complete and congruent. for example the “Setting the stage” story is unlocked at lvl 40 but ascalon catacombs story is unlocked at lvl 30 which really does not make sense if you follow the story via character level.

At first experience of this event it reminds me exactly of the Aetherblade event in Season 1. However, after trying it it’s not really that fun.

This is what I feel what’s wrong with the event:
1. There are no rewards for each event completed and it will depend on how many you participated to get to the final rewards. Problem is, there will be players who will just make little effort to participate and jump to the next event leaving you to take care of the upscaled event. Thankfully, the maps I joined there were many committed players that made sure the events are completed.
2. There are no drops from Modrem which sometimes I feel tempted to do the bare mininum for the event.
3. The events does not give karma, gold or even xp. Killing modrem does not give me xp.
4. The bloom rewards are too low that to get a skin (225 blooms + 10 gold) it will take at least 3 days doing all 3 maps daily and the event is just 3-4 days. (depending on timezone) so it will take me 7 to 10 hours more x 3 days just to aim for the second skin (assuming I get 10 blooms per invasion).

It would be nice if there was like a Boss fight at the end of the hour just like how Scarlet appears at the last few minutes of the Aetherblade event.

After trying out the beta, the experience was okay. So far I do not have any major issues on the event. Although, I do have some requests:

Relating to the BWE2:
- Can we have the Mastery Point map markers have up or down arrows to make it easier to locate just like the other map markers?
- An additional range weapon for the Revenant, the hammer still feels a bit weak in terms of damage during solo combat but it is effective in group battles.

Unrelated to the BWE2:
- Is there be a possibility that winged backpacks be converted for glider skins?
- GW1 dryad bow (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Dryad_Bow) the skin fits nicely to HoT, it would be great as a legendary.

Giant Slayer Title Progression

The not champion giant in brisban does count for the slayer achievement.

Just curious on what profession and weapon do you use for the Brisban Wildlands giants. My kills does not yield any kill counts on the giant category there.

Giant slayer is doable (I did it in about 6 months) alternating between 2 full up giants and those that spawn from the unit golem in the toxic bog.

Somehow, The giants in the toxal bog does not yield any kill count for me. What character profession and weapon did you use?

I have been noticing that some weapon skills that kills the monster does not produce a kill count.

I think continuous farming of the toxal bog giants is doable if they produce the kill count.

World Boss Bonus Chests Not Always Appearing

The chest and the bonus chest did not appear for me in both the Golem and Shatterer events. I get the xp, karma and monetary reward at gold level but no chests.

So far what I have noticed that everytime I use my shortbow using my Thief on Shatterer the chests never appeared. Today it happened again while using dual pistols. I’m still determining what additional skill I used today that caused the result.

On the golem side, My elementalist when using a scepter and focus with water attunement somehow also caused the chests not to show up.

Also by minimizing the game while the boss is at nearly at 10% health or lower seems to cause the chests not appear.

This is my observations and experiences with this bug.

New Soldier Profession

How about the commando class from 2012’s april’s fool day?

Based on what’s existing, they can use…
Armor type: Heavy
Weapons: Rifle. Pistols, Riot shield, harpoon, daggers and the Charzooka.
Skill Type: Ranged support and mob control.

Actually I’m not really am being serious, implementing this might overshadow the engineer.

A beserker type warrior with modified Dervish skills does come into mind, then hopefully, Great Axes, Spears (terrestrial not aquatic) and Scythes would be available.

A One Time Purchasable Class Change

I think it will be also nice if there is a change option not only by profession but a whole in general. I am thinking if the option would be an entire reset.

What i meant is that the option is purchasable via gem store cost a bit less than an character expansion slot.

The reset will reset everything from face, gender, name, race, profession and personal story. What will remain is the character lvl for pve, pvp and wvw. Exploration maybe it would be hopefully reset as well. Bound items and class specifc armors and soulbounded items are invalidated to be left salvageable.

Profession manuals learned hopefully would not be reset, but i think it is okay.

I think this would be a good opportunity for people who are unhappy in their character stories and choices made during character creation, as well as for those who will want to experience the other storylines that GW2 has to offer.

Hardest mission in the game

I find the conscript the dead ships the hardest when it bugs. There are times that all the first wave of the undead will pile up into the rowboat killing you everytime you spawn back from defeat.

The steel tide is also tedious since the giants doesn’t seem to die so the waves of undead never stops.

Additional suggestions:
-Rare and exotic breathing apparatus.
-Other uses for transmutation stones, maybe the ability to change the stones into crystals. 100 transmutation stones => 1 transmutation crystals
-party animal achievement similar to gw1 so that the transformation elixirs would improve the economy. Also making them not bounded.
- more gw1 armor skins in the BLTC
-more bank storage slots
-More Giants. Since the only ones that seems to count on the giant kills in the slayer achievement are the champion giants in Diessa Plateau and Harathi Hinterlands. the giants spawned by the chaos stuff in Brisban Wildlands and the risen giants doesn’t count when you kill them. i would request for some more veteran giants so that it won’t be so impossible to get 1000 kills with only those 2, i think the points are so slow to make it worthwhile farming just 2 giants available in the game.

These are my suggestions: (I didn’t read all of the suggestions, so it may duplicate what is already been suggested.)

1. Personal Story Dungeons : It would be nice if these story dungeons can be done solo by dynamic leveling of monsters and mobs dependent on party strength, or hireable henchies similar to GW1. I’ve done all my missions with either henchies or heroes in GW1, it would be nice if that could be implemented here since it is really a waste of time waiting for people to join into the group (even with the use of the LFG site). I admit playing with others in a group is fun, but the long wait until the group if filled up is not very profitable.

2. Cultural Armor : The teir 3 is really extremely too expensive for a rare quality armor. for the same stats the order armors at rare quality is 12-13x more cheaper than the cultural armor. I think 2-2.5x the cost of order armor is reasonable since it does give points to the fashion tree. Either that is to make them exotics with special runes to make these armors worthwhile for the players.

3. option to view other tree lines in the personal story: although I understand that it is more profitable in business sense to make the personal stories fixed once decided so that players who want to experience the other story trees would buy extra character slots just to see what happens if they chose the other instead. I think it would be a nice gesture to have the option to play a different path without affecting the decided story tree line. That way it would also help people to experience the richness of the game’s story and lore as well as for those who’s characters are all done in their personal stories be able to complete dailies when the “personal story finisher” rolls.

4. A karka pet for the ranger would be nice.

5. Wondering if Countess Anise’s attire would be available in the gem store one of these days. even as town clothes it would be okay.

6. was also wondering if there would be a possibility of a “cartographer” mode in wvw. I’m not into pvps and I want to have 100% map completion, but it is very hard to be constantly assassinated by other players. I have been 4 or 6 times (from different servers) assassinated by cheating players who have been indefinitely cloaking and decloaks when I am beside them, I am sure it is not culling since there were only 2 of us in the vicinity. Anyway, this suggestion is just to make the player in this mode be a spectator (cannot attack and not attacked nor non gathering) just running around completing vistas and poi. The skill challenges, I think it’s okay to leave them as it is now.

7. A set personal story missions on how your character chose his profession would be a great add on to the game. It would be a good tie up with the “arch enemy” spoiler mentioned a few months ago.

No experience on some monster kills

I have been noticing that many of the personal stories in Orr has some monsters that does not give any experience for killing them. it is more noticeable in the battle of fort trinity, from the gates to the docks.

I can’t remember if other story missions prior to Orr also has this occurrence.

It would be nice if the pact weapons were exotics instead of rares. It would be a fitting reward for completing the personal story. Since the update on world bosses, the pact weapons does not seem valuable except for their skins.

I also had the same experience and ended up regretting those decisions. transmuting the armors is more expensive since it costs me 12 silver transmuting crystals just to place the order armor skins over to my exotic set.

I hope that there is a way to make the basic transmuting stones into transmuting crystals.
