I’d honestly take losing any day and retain my dignity than partake in the daily bootlicking ritual that TC performs for KN. Maybe that’s just me.

From the poor phrasing of your question, I have to assume this is a new concept for you. Do not fear, once found, it’s a feeling not forgotten so just give it a little more time. I’ve had a great time in T8. It was really nice to get away from the constant spew of QQ and snort/giggle/fart that TC does so well. However, I’ve gots to kill my monthly RP quota.

Also, speaking of dignity, you ran from Flashy for like 2 minutes with a guardian healing you and using his elite on you and you still died. What’s the deal with that?

Good to hear. I don’t think many people on TC would feel comfortable farming wxp on the lower tier servers but I’m certainly not one to judge.

If you are looking for a home, and not just another place to land on till it all falls apart again, TC is the best choice out there. We are a proven commodity that fights win or lose till the very end. Our community is the best out there and we have a strong NA contingent that is used to winning back well defended points after they were lost overnight. Pst me for more details.

BG and KN crash into each other all the time. However, over parts of the night and early day, both servers tend to be more opportunistic and take the path of least resistance.

So rather than fighting each other,KN and BG would rather not fight each other most of the night and day(every once in a while crashing into each other) so they can get the easy points double teaming the less populated server. Now i know why you guys cant get out of T2,but i cant figure out how TC is staying in T2 being the least populated server of the three,and being double teamed most of the time.

Don’t start. They fight constantly and we fight them as well on every map. Expecting them to not take advantage of easy points during our downtime is foolish, and getting hurt feelings about it only hurts you. They have a pretty close matchup going on, and I can tell Kaineng is hungry for BG’s ranking. Despite that, TC can run an extremely competitive Primetime with the luxury of not having to worry about the overall score since our Oceanic presence lacks us that luxury.

The most important thing, though, is that in a week or 2 we are going to be in their spot, hammering two other much less populated servers and you are going to be reading posts like yours constantly from them. Try to be the competitor you want to face.

Due to your inability to work well with each other and play nice, Tarnished Coast is officially pulling your thread over and putting you each in a time out.

Now JQ, we know you’re the big guy now. With great power comes great responsibility, and that responsibility is to win with humility. You know how it is to fight an uphill coverage battle more than most, and now that you are on top, you should be more understanding of the effort SoR and SoS are putting in to stay competitive. People chose JQ because they knew you had it in you to win, and now its your time to shine!

SoS. You guys spent so much time on top, and even if you have lost many of those who helped your rise and maintenance of number 1, you are still a powerful threat when you mobilize. Take this opportunity to reinforce and rebuild your community and realize that even a drop in tier can’t take away your past successes.

SoR. You guys are the ultimate competitors. Your heart, like your namesake “Oldroar,” loved this game and it was his story that brought so many to fight by your side. That spirit is obvious in the amazing guilds and people you have and if you can only put aside a little of that pride, you will see you are still climbing that mountain you put in front of you, and you are closer to the top than you have ever been.

All of you deserve to be in Tier 1 fighting for number 1, and even if this moment in time finds the points pushed one way or another, we all know it can change in a heartbeat. That pretty much sums up the new system. I think we’re done here.

I don’t understand where the idea that kitten talking is somehow part of the competition. People who win all the time, or at least frequently, don’t have to talk kitten because they have been there before and its nothing new. They don’t need the admiration of their victims or their enemies and they certainly don’t want to hear you cry about it after.

Noone in Tier 8 really seems to want to listen to reason or understand that there is no other opponent to match with you. Tier 7 opponents will also kill you. If you want Anet to change the system to better protect low wvw population servers, then by all means ask for it. But asking for a new opponent from Tier 7 really just shows you have no idea what you are asking for.

Sorry to see Kaineng start to weaken. It was great to really get to see you guys blossom when you finally hit your true tier with us so many weeks ago during BG/KA/TC. Your NA had an uphill battle most of the time with WM anchoring overnight, but you guys always put up a great fight and never stopped defending. Good luck to you, whether you transfer or stay!

The system works because sooner or later one server breaks or implodes and starts the long spiral downward. It shouldn’t be that long given the tone of that thread.

It’s hard being right all the time. The end of free transfers really only affects the people adverse to the concept of spending a little time or real money to have a chance at winning, which in T1, is probably nobody. But that’s the problem when the competition you create is based solely on who can have the most people on the most time, and not who plays the game the best.

Still, I hope its TC and Kain that get to welcome SoS into T2 because the added people to BG might boot us to T3 before SoS ends up in T2. Either way, we’ll adapt!

And so it begins.

All it would really take is one guy, then maybe one guild, then one whole server to change the attitudes in T1. There are a tons of great people on all those servers having 24/7 awesome fights, but they mire themselves in endless arguments about words like “coverage” and “fair.” Those stupid arguments carry their way into each servers private forums, then guild forums, and before you know it, everyone is either having a bad time or trying to defend the fact that they are actually having a good time despite the percieved issue. Win the time your on, collect your badges, post a nice score update and go to bed…

I’m pretty sure people post intentionally stupid stuff just so ill get an infraction for responding sarcastically.

The Tarnished Coast is a great server and I’m proud to be apart of it. I think many of the top tier servers consider their community to be the wvw guilds that frequent wvw everyday all day long, but on TC, our community really is our community…its everyone. Its a family and in as much we disagree and have strong opinions, we always come back and log in the next day or night and rally against what are pretty overwhelming odds at the moment. Better yet, anyone that didn’t feel that way had plenty of chance to jump island. Its easy to feel pride when everyone else does too.

I can imagine that when SBI finds its tier, its going to be the “go to” place for people to join up and learn how to wvw from vets who have been to Tier 1 and know all the tricks. Yes of course. We dropped the first Trojan horse outside garrison giggling the entire time from the shadows as an apparently new transfer to SoR picked it up and brought it inside. Anet thought killing all SoR was too much, so they instead just kicked them all out and shutdown the login server as we all climbed out and took back our bl. It was a great success and many high fives were handed out.

When this matchup started all i heard from TC on Forum and from friends from PiNK was “FA are kitten we farm them we steamroll them”
FA has my respect, they are giving us great fights whenever they can.
Maybe you give figths on NA time when you are at full power, but try not to be scared to fight battles you can lose =)

Your theories are incorrect. I read through your post and found it to be wrong on all counts. It’s your theory, thus your job to back it up with evidence…yet everything you laid out is contrary to fact. You are wrong sir.

Sometimes when we are hurt, we say thing we don’t mean. We’ll always have that Hills fight to look back on fondly, when you stood across the bridge, as we did too, our swords clashing, rain falling, and you were there. We didn’t get Hills that day Kaineng, but we came back, and so will you.

Whenever you gather this many people who just enjoy playing the game and don’t care about all the other stuff under one roof, great things are bound to happen. I’ve known TC was a very special place for a very long time and I’ve watched us grow every single week since I joined way back when in Tier 3. I’m extremely proud of the Coast, not because we won this week, but because of the awesome destination we’ve become for anyone who loves wvw.

We may not win next week, but I guarantee you can never count us out.

I still think its weird that t1 bought into that and said BG are nothing but forum warriors. Throughout all our matchups you guys are easily the most humble yet powerful server. If I had to leave TC and wanted to stay near the top, I would choose BG in a heartbeat.

Sadly, I think this forum hatred from TC has resulted in the transfers from the TC to SoR server the past 2 days. You guys have lost about 30-50 WvWers(that I know of) to us because of it and 2 of your larger WvW guilds came inquiring.

For your own good, just take it easy and let it go. All the anger, hatred, jealousy and general animosity isn’t helping your cause at all and it changes nothing about the situation. If anything, you guys are now bleeding players and creating dissension amongst yourselves.

You’re my opponent, but for your own good, get it together.

I appreciate the constant compliments, from all your guilds. Its nice to know we have made a mark even in an unbalanced matchup. That’s actually the kind of guild we want to be, and I think we’re getting there.

I’m saddened by the need for people to put down fellow Coasters though, even if you think you are doing so in some sort of friendly way. The truth is, its hard to lose, and even harder to lose badly. Track your own threads coming in second week after week and you see exactly the same sort of posts you are seeing here. Then check out the other matchup threads and again, they are much the same or even worse.

I want/wanted us to be above that, but noone is above human nature and if you come to the internet expecting to find the best of humanity then you will always be dissapointed. But this street goes both ways. As few of us that try to keep above the negativity and bad sportsmanship on our side, it can be equaly said that there are few of you being above the chest thumping and back patting.

Tarnished Coast will be a great server regardless of what tier we are in, period. I don’t think alot of servers can say that. We could move down to Tier 8 tomorow and still have a full server at all hours because we are more than just WvW. Maybe you are too, I’ll never know. But I do know that I’m proud of the little rp server that moved up and over so many of the people and guilds that are now newly transferred to the top 4 servers. We win as a team, and we lose as a team. Let’s just finish this matchup, go our seperate ways for now, then we’ll see you again once this whole Anet caused disaster is over.

Leading a 100 man megazerg is hard work. I recommend all 4 TC commanders take a much needed coke and candy bar break and lets get these Zergs operating at maximum efficiency!

Quoting this late as I haven’t spent any time in this thread this matchup due to, well, WvWing.

Just letting you know, that this was a 5 man cap on your hills courtesy of a little NOC group – facilitated by an extremely patient and competent mesmer who sat in there for close to an hour after the line of battle had moved well away from there.

We still had to ram the north inner gate, and Thai came in at just the right moment to mop up and consolidate the cap. Nothing suspicious about it, despite what you may think.

This matchup has been really clean from what I’ve seen and honestly, when someone gets into somewhere and I don’t know how, my first reaction is always “should’ve swept better.” Best way to counter any activity is quite simply to have people sit in the keep, its what we do.

There are tons of safe spots for siege and if you are standing on the walls during a siege you are doing it wrong. Siege warfare always favors the defense assuming the place siege intelligently and use it, including counter siege. I’d recommend checking Youtube, there are a lot of great videos on siege placement.

Kaineng dropped tiers, and FA dropped tears, what a great matchup. Cya Next time!

SoR is number one, and deservedly so. They have the best coverage, and the best NA in the game. Their core is a solid grouping of guilds that are all strong in their own right, and they have the addition of some of SBI’s strongest guilds, then later TSYM and now IRON who can finally give those great NA guilds way-pointed keeps to fight around, rather than having to break the oppositions. They have a lot of to proud of, and I imagine they will keep the number 1 title for a long while.

That being said, they can be beaten…by themselves. Pretty much like every number 1 before them. That’s what keeps the system rolling. Until then, enjoy the ride!

We all get that ken enjoys the new system and has appointed himself its primary defense attorney, but I think most people will agree we are tired of your terse, uninformed opinions expressed as if they are fact.

TC, a server that fought hard for months to build a great community on the foundation of good sportsmanship and fair competition, has plenty room to complain. This statement alone shows you have zero clue why the new system is failing. Educate yourself before attempting to educate others.

Doesn’t really paint JQ, Tier 1, or WvW in a great light. Its alot more impressive when you take a fully fortified keep thats actually defended and had to sacrafice a tower or 2 to get it. I think too many of you on JQ have forgotten why you even liked wvw in the first place.

Thanks for all the kind words Choo, TW, Fear. There are alot of new tags on the battlefield but we always recognize yours first and plan accordingly. There is much talk here on how SoR is planning to get better, and I can tell you TC is no different.

The free transfer shuffle forced every guild in the game, regardless of server, to confront some demons and deal with issues that were always there, just being put off till some later date. Well that date is the 28th, and it was a little scary for awhile.

[PiNK] is Tarnished Coast though, along with countless other small and large guids. We are happy to be here, fight here and play here and as much as we want to get better everyday, we’ll continue to fight with the awesome people of TC no matter where that battleground is and what enemies we have to fight. We picked up alot of new friends this week, and there’s plenty time to pick up more. Don’t be fooled into thinking somehow TC got weaker, because I guarantee you we did not.

For any server coming up, we’ll be waiting. We would love for you to underestimate us. And to SoR, best of luck as well. For those worried about ratings atm, you are missing out on a great time to have fun. Never was the overall score so meaningless.
