Is zerker gear overpowered in WvW? Why is it getting nerfed there?

Because A-net looks at wvw and pve as the same thing.

For those of you saying this doesn’t effect PVP i does. it effects WvW WHICH IS where alot of us prefer to PVP at. I really hope anet looks into this more before the change.. Such a kitten time sink. Starting to turn into the biggest grind iv ever done in an mmo, and to think i laughed at my friends for playing WoW. lol

I, as has everyone else, have spent ages making my (celestial) set of ascended gear for my WvW build. Time, gold, laurels, gems/cash etc and it’s not even finished yet, it never is before the next change comes in. It’s not perfect as a set for me, or anyone else for that matter, but I know a lot of folks that have made it as it’s a good all round balanced set if you use all stats and the crit on it makes it Ok….ish. Anyway, the reasons are irrelevant it was a decision I made based on the perameters that ANET made, whether the set is good or bad or OP is not the point.

The point here is that ANET are changing something that p(l)ayers have invested heavily in and had I known about this change in advance I may have made something else so therefore they should alloy players to change their sets if they are affected right?

I mean, if I buy cucumbers at the store when I get home I expect a cucumber in my bag, not a kitten banana…

Anet surely understands this will mean changes for people and would want to give us the chance to take the cucumber back and get what we wanted right, I mean what difference does it make to them??? After all this is about balance yes… so what if we change our gear for another set as they are all so well balanced right it won’t make any difference yeah?

Certainly looking through these threads no one seems to have a good reason as to why this would balance anything anyway…

But there must be a reason! So heres the rub! Every time they have a ‘balance’ /cough ‘update’ it means that players will invest more $$$, in more gems, to update their build, especially since the players that have the build they farmed for are less likely to want to farm it a second or third time etc. So we are more likely to buy gems (to spend on crazy silk etc – who made an xmas bonus on that one?) and rebuild if we want to have the BiS, which many players do. It seems to me looking through these threads there’s just no other realistic explanation for this change.

We farm drops, Anet farm us! Simples.

Anyways, if those affected aren’t given the opportunity to change their gear I won’t invest any more in this game, im just done, it’s just not worth it when stuff changes so fast, you make something one minute and the next it’s all change.

Yes please let us change this. I don’t understand the changes. More people played bunker already!. At least let us choose a new stat.. The rest of you might make it work. but a 10% loss? My build can’t handle that. Everyone get ready for every class running full bunker. and long long long fights.

I bought the game for a friend, but i wasn’t thinking correctly i guess and i put his name and address next to the credit card information when i was buying it. I’ve asked for the transaction to be cancelled so i can correct it.. I mean i’m not positive but wouldn’t it require for me to enter the name that’s on the card?

I second this. I really would love to see some changes with ranger pets. Beast mastery trait line seems kinda wasted at this point.

Is also exactly why they 2vs1d SBI. Neither server has proved to do anything on their own yet. Hey maybe they’ll get lucky and keep getting matched together..

Yep. Guess yall are right. No matter what you call it though. It’s a game. and most people dont enjoy this ‘strategy’. So most will quit playing. WVW will lose numbers. I understand it cant be fixed. WVW would need an extreme overhaul.

sad thing is. this is whats going to kill gw2. ESO and eq next comes out in spring. saddens me. i was hoping a free to play game could actually stay good. but i guess i understand. neither one of these servers could have beat sbi without allying. Maybe it was their only choice.

I second this. If they cant get pets working properly they should just remove them. Make rangers an “archer” just give us more stats on whats taken away for the pet. yeah pets function fine in pve. but guild wars has always been about pvp hasnt it?

I’ve wondered about this for a while myself. I’d love to see some rifles come in to play. or even X-bows.

Is it true that rangers gear only gives half the benefits it does other classes because of our pet? If that is true. Wouldn’t a new line of gear. “Ascended” hurt us even worse? Just curious i’ve seen this mentioned alot in the ranger forums and would like it confirmed one way or the other.

Arenanet Please stop ruining your game. It’s not like it didn’t already cost us all 60$ to buy it. You might as well charge a effing subscription fee.
