Theres also two camps complaining
1: Those that gambled without knowing the odds and lost. Stupid.
2: Those that would gamble but wont unless they know the odds. Smart.
I cant wait to see these. I love the hylek one my favorite race.
Stats dont matter in this game. You can get a set of all the best stuff for a few gold.
Odds aren’t cumulative, which means even if the odds were 1/50 you still might end up with nothing after 200.
Well of course but we all know that. Why people are complaining is that when they are opening 200 BLC they dont know if they were just unlucky or the drop rate is low. Give them the information and then if they still complain its their own fault and they knew the odds.
Personally I just buy the gem store items and give the boxes a miss when I dont know the odds. I really like the gambling mechanic, same as the chest rolls in warhammer, adds abit of interest to open boring boxes. Any gambling does need the odds though or how do you know if you were lucky or not.

To all the drama created by the BLC chests. Just give a list of the items that can be won and the odds of them. That way people wont have any arguments over not knowing how low the chances of getting things were. Not hidden in patch notes either have it on the BLC description to see at time of purchase.
Yes some will continue to complain but at least then they would only have themselves to blame and not lack of information.
As much of the items in gw2 are supposed to be won via gambling with real life money the odds for each item needs to be stated. That how gambling works surely.
Its this kind of thing that makes me think sub based mmos were actually better. I was one who thought this move to f2p would be a good thing for the customer but now I see it actually limits the amount of the things in game you can access without paying far more than a sub. Much more access to everything in the game for a much cheaper price overall.
Same problem
Cant complete 2 mobs not linked to champ
ATTENTION: 36,000 Mithril Ore + 18,000 Elder Logs +22,500 Large Fang = 1,500 Level 80 RARE Greatswords........ + Mystic Forge = ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
in Crafting

Theres no grinding in gw2. What a joke.
Nothing unique about the majority of crafting that you cant get multiple other ways. So fail.
Its true every game makes the same mistake with their thef classes. wow had it, warhammer had it, swtor had it.
Dont worry though they always sort them out they are just a hard class to balance.
I’ve never experienced any stability problems yet and the game isn’t half as buggy as the majority of mmo launches I have been through.
That said. The problem with clipping is completely unacceptable in a opvp game. This should be the number one priority right now. The wvw will never recover if it has the same teething problems warhammer online had. The wvw is well done and great fun when it works, but at the moment is completely broken.
Favourite: Howdooyooodooo Mr Quaggan
Least: Pandas
I’d be happy to see moa changed. Its generally I win in duels and pretty useless outside necroform striping or rez interuption in group. Mesmers would still win the majority of duels without it, group skills is what they need.
Phantasmal Disenchanter constant cleanses, severs and cooldown that matches shatter.
Alot of the problems in the game could have been avoided by looking at the same problems warhammer online had and never fixed.
- public events that dont scale well. going from sickeningly easy in large groups to almost impossible to duo.
- game client that cant handle large fight. ghost armies appearing out of thin are.
- unbalanced classes
- alot of worldvsdoor
- wvw dominated by aoe
Anet seems to have taken a great deal of inspiration from war without fixing any the problems that saw it lose 700k players in the first 3 months. They really need to react faster than Mythic did or they may see this game follow the same trend.
Same problem. Stuck at the staircase with the music and cant trigger the conversation with the pale tree.
Human. Suits the concept best.
You arent supposed to farm. Anything you need is easy to craft or cheap on the TP.
Why would anyone take it over timewarp except as a noobcheck?
This would make us even more of a pet class which is what we dont need.
Clones need to be indistinguishable from the player and the damage done by phantasms needs to be brought back to the player. The point of the class is to bring mayhem and confusion not a ranged pet class.
Currently having a blast playing Mesmer. Awesome concept and the most unique class I’ve seen in an mmo for a while.
I’d like to see a few changes though to help fit the concept even more.
1, The removal of phantasms. Mesmer shouldn’t be a pet class and the phantasms seem like they were rushed to make up for lack of dps.
2, Making shatter damage instant. This is where burst should come from.
3, Also making each clone have a different aoe effect as default on death and not through a trait. This is key to making clones more dangerous and not wasted via random aoe.
