I was really hoping for the halo from GW 1. It was gorgeous. ^ ^ This halo is barely ‘ok’.
And what is with this ‘reward’? We grind out the heirlooms and then have to kick in 10g? Really? O.o
Please fix this so that it’s worthy of a 10g investment. I want to easily see this halo. I want others to easily see this halo….I want SPARKLES! lol

Yes, please bring back the Royal Terrace Pass. DR is much nicer than the ship…also DR doesn’t have that annoying wind sound… O.o
I wanted to try out the pass before buying a second one for my co-main character and it was already removed from the Gem Shop when I went back to get another.

We should be compensated…the game us unplayable. I can’t do anything…dungeons, world events, nothing. We’re losing more loot and gold as this drags on.
I managed to get my dailies done…it is a pain in the kitten.
Oh I’ve got that beat…1 fps at Lyssa…made me dizzy.
I’ll thank Anet if/when I can keep my armor.

No one is blaming the players, but many of you seem intent on blaming Anet because you chose to purchase additional items other then the armor skin. The skin is the issue, anything else is irrelevant.
But it is relevant…example…you buy a sofa. Once you get it home you decide to further enhance the look of your new sofa by painting your walls. You then go back to the store where you bought the sofa and buy the matching chairs.
The store decides to recall the sofa fabric and replaces it with something that no longer makes your socks go up and down. Not only that but, it doesn’t match your newly painted walls or the chairs you purchased from the same company.
I’ll thank Anet if/when I can keep my armor.

ALL the light armor that was purchased and intends to be purchased should ALL look the same.
Ummmm, but….I and many others bought the skin. We’ve equipped the skin over writing our old armor. We’ve bought dyes, weps, etc. Others have created characters specifically to use this gorgeous skin.
If it is indeed re-worked we who purchased the original skin should be allowed to keep it. We had no idea of the kitten storm that would ensue. We put a lot of work and gold into the other elements surrounding the use of this skin.
Why should the buyers be penalized for Anet’s misstep? We supported the game with our $$.
This was my first armor skin purchase from the gem shop. It will be my LAST purchase of armor skin if this skin is taken/reworked.

Please, Gaile, let us keep the armor we bought and adore. I love this armor on my female sylvari necro. I’ve gotten ’she’s beautiful’ comments from several players. I’ve never gotten that before. This armor is perfect for a sylvari. The max skin glow shows through the cut-outs and the flames? Gorgeous!
As to the concern about an uber rare skin, elite group….um, there’s already those situations in the game. People who attend the special Guild Wars 2 gatherings do get special items that the rest of us cannot get. i.e. Mr. Sparkles, t-shirts…etc.
For those of us that already have the armor PLEASE let us at least have the choice of keeping it. I do not want a re-worked armor, nor do I want a refund. I want what I bought.
: / Charge us more if you have to to appease the human tier 3 people, but let us keep it.
Here’s another idea….give people a choice …they can take the replacement at the 800 gem price. OR To calm the people who are upset that the tier 3 was so expensive charge more for the original flamekissed armor to those of us who want to keep their original armor…if that’s what it takes to be able to keep it, I’ll pay it.

My sylvari is gorgeous! Other players told me my main was ‘beautiful’. She has max glow, celestial dye, with touches of midnight ice.
I want to be given the choice to keep my armor. That’s all I want.
I just created an opinion poll thread but it was merged. I thought it would be nice to see what ppl would like to happen next with this set and its skin. I also thought that it would make things easier for them to have a single thread that was only a poll so they could get peoples opinions without reading all the discussions but obviously not lol. I might as well continue it here as they merged it to here. : )
Copy/Paste/Edit the options with your replies. : )

once they reintroduce it …. you only get that look.

If you want to keep the armor then role a Human and put in the time and effort to buy it just like the thousands of other players did, dont be lazy, dont be selfish.

So if one of the problems is that the Flamekissed armor is too cheap in the gem shop…that the human T3 wearers feel slighted that they paid 120 gold and we didn’t, charge the equivalent of 120 gold in gems for the armor. I’d pay it.
Also, I would have NO problem with making my sylvari’s cultural armor available to others. I think it would be cool to make all of the cultural armors available regardless of race. Again, charge the equivalent of 120 gold in the gem shop for the armors.
Can you imagine a little asura sporting the sylvari’s wings? Very cute. ^ ^

I’m another who bought this armor and I want to keep it. I bought it in good faith. I paid for it…. not some substitute. I don’t want a refund either. I want the armor I purchased. We who bought this armor did nothing wrong. We were supporting the game by buying from the gem shop. And now it’s going to be taken away?
This armor is gorgeous. I don’t care that it’s a T3 cultural armor. That’s not why I bought it. As soon as I saw it I told my guildies that my necro was getting new armor! I had it bought and on in less than two minutes. I DONT WANT ANYTHING ELSE.
I will be beyond kittened off if I log on to find some crap armor substitute on my main character.

Now that’s interesting. That is what I did yesterday…out of desperation I opened the Windows client in Parallels. Ran around in LA a bit…too stuttery and I gave up.
A bit later. I tried the Mac client and it ran. I had no idea the two events were connected.
They must have done something cause I’m in and playing…I’ve made no other adjustments.
I’ve done a complete re-install…now I get the black screen again.
Just wonderful…
Now Guild Wars won’t load at all after the ‘sticky fix’. : /

I want my mats back. This is bordering on fraud.
Actually, it would be like buying an iPhone 5 and then Apple making it a Blackberry.
The problem is that we made that blade with the knowledge that it would glow wielded AND stowed. For that weapon to be changed after the fact is unbelievable.
It’s not right. I’ve had my blade about two weeks.
I want my raw mats (yeah 6 stacks of ori as I have no use for blades at this point, mystic coins, and a stack of ectos) refunded or the gold in game equivalent and my skill pts returned.
I’ll mail the blade to who ever at Anet or destroy the blade. Which ever TPTB prefer. Cause I do not want it now.
WHAT??!? I just made that sword! This is not what I made in the Mystic Forge…I want my mats refunded! Cause if it’s not gonna glow I want my mats back cause a violet transparent blade is NOT what I made.
I would never have shoved 1 Eldritch Scroll, 100 Mystic Coins, 250 Ectos and 250 Orichalcum greatsword blades into the forge for this! I even bought gems to finish the kitten thing!! I will NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!

I was just talking to a guildie last night about just this…if the minions have taken it into their heads…if they have them, and go off on their own to attack something you can’t map out either as you’re still considered ‘in combat’. o.O
A kill switch would be greatly appreciated. ^ ^
Okay…so let’s say that a cartographer’s tonic made the user a fourth team, say white flag team. The tonic user being a white flag team member would not be able to read red, blue, or green team chats. No intel is given away.
You don’t get intel from reading chats, you get intel from looking with your own eyes and reporting what you see to your guild/voice chat of choice.
example: I drink a tonic, become white, and shadow the movements of the enemy and report back to my guild/server alliance exactly where they are going and what they are doing. They can’t stop me, I am flagged unkillable, I laugh as they try.
Someone said make it so while tagged you can’t go within certain radius of fortifications. Thats not a solution either, lots of area can be sat upon to watch troop movements without getting near fortifications. I don’t need to stand at a gate to see people come out it and head a certain direction.
Well how do you know a little espionage isn’t already happening?
A large guild could front a player gems/gold to do a transfer and voila! Intel.
There’s always a way to cheat if that’s the sort of player you are.

I agree…something needs to be done. I never have, nor will I ever be a wvw player. I’m only there for map completion.
I play a sylvari necro and am constantly turned into a sticky paste by roving bands of players from the other teams. It’s obvious I’m mapping when I’m standing on a vista and yet I’m yanked down and turned into pesto.
Why not a cartographers tonic available through the gem shop? While under the influence you can’t rat out/ spy on the other teams as you would be unable to communicate. You would not be able to participate in combat. You’re simply there to map and deal with the hostile npcs.
It’s extremely frustrating to try and get the mapping finished. Either the map is under the control of the other team(s) or if it is available you can’t get onto the island to snag the poi/vista/skill point due to population limits.
The wvw players resent the presence of the pve mappers…well, I don’t want to be in wvw either. ^ ^
