Basically the title, just curious about buying it, but atm I don’t have the money to buy the 79.99 one, but if I buy the base 29.99 one to get the 80 boost, can I then upgrade to the other one later on?

I remember they used to have like 3 or 4 different ones, but now I only see one. did they make it dyable?

Yesterday my razer mouse arrived so naturally I’ve installed razer software – which is razer synapse. Everything went fine. I had no problems with the game. Today I couldn’t update my gw2 launcher with synapse working in the background. The launcher just kept crashing.

What I did to fix it is I un-linked guild wars 2 from razer synapse. I rebooted my PC, closed razer software and then GW2 launcher started to work again. I can use synapse afterall once the game is launched.

I’m using x64 bit GW2 client launcher with Razer Synapse 2.20 ver. and Razer Naga Hex v2.

Thought You might want to know about this issue so I’m leaving some info here.

It’s more Razer Synapse doesn’t work with Gw2…or anything. The app is just full of bugs and minor problems that will be there for some or not.

So I Recently returned to this game with some friends. I originally played pretty much only Necro, (Thought it would be thief when i first got the game hence the name) But as i Returned I found necro to just be lack luster in what I like to do which is Roaming in WvW Usually solo or with maybe 2-3 other people. I’m just looking for a class that would be good for this, I already have a maxed Thief, Mesmer, Ele, and of course Necro.

Just can’t think of a class I to play, I was thinking warrior but IDK why seems like i just can’t get their combos down i seem to just miss everything on them and lose any fight I’m in. I like hard hitting mobile classes, I was thinking about just playing my thief as a lot of people talk about how they are these Roaming masters or something but i feel like sure im super mobile but i can’t really kill anyone 1v1 im more annoying that deadly.

I’m just not sure whats good anymore, and whats bad. I just like to be mobile and hit hard I used to play Power necro (yes ik they are not mobile but they hit super hard back then) but with reaper spec and stuff Power necro just seems straight bad to me.

So any suggestions on what i should play next or is Warrior actually good for this I just suck a lot

P.S. I have only played straight Zerker warrior in SPvP so maybe thats a bad thing idk

Or is there actually a good build for Roaming as a Necro that maybe i dont know of?

Ok so I cant download the game for some reason, im coming back to Gw2 after a break before HoT comes and since its only a month away i have decided to come back.

But every time i try to download it just says the Gw2 client has stopped working, i saw a post about setting up a shortcut to repair Gw2 but when i launch that it crashes the same way.

I was able to download the game to the point of it being playable but then it just stops working and when i try to download the rest it eather stops working or i get a crash

Not sure what to do and havent seen anything to fix it anyone know a fix?

Celestial gear i just found is extremely time consuming to make so much so that im thinking about not even bothering wit my Ele and making a completely different class since it takes a minimum of 30 days to make a full armor set of exotic Celestial gear, and that is not including weapons/trinkets its extremely annoying especially since Ele relies on cele gear so heavily to roam and stuff, which is what i wanted to do

Ok so I’m just wondering how movement speed stacks and if there is a cap to it and if so how much?

So I started playing Ele and i have the signet that gives +25% move speed, and a trait in air that gives +25% move speed while im in air, do they stack? and do they stack with swiftness? and then what is the max +% of movement speed u can get?

So i have noticed that a lot of the times you either have a Troll or just a new player who doesn’t know placing random siege down wasting the zergs supply

So what if you made it so that commanders could pick up siege that was placed by anyone who wasnt tagged up and was at at or below 50% build about, it wouldnt need to refund supply or anything, and it could even just break the siege rather than give it to the commander, but i feel this would at least help, and ofc you would stil have people just tagging up to troll but then at least you know who it is, and they still need a tag to be even able to do so

Ok so I have been trying to figure out what i want to main for a Solo Roamer, and im not sure what to pick out of Warrior, Ele, or Guardian.

I kinda want to do Warrior or Guardian simply because ik once HoT get released im gonna be playing a TON of Revenant and it would be nice to already have gear and stuff ready for him

But i just hear Ele is super strong for roaming and stuff, so not sure if i would be better off with an Ele than the other two, or what is even strong atm since i just recently came back when the new specializations came into play

Ok so I just recently came back, i never thought i was going to be back but i am, i deleted all my characters before so basically i am starting from scratch again.

I have always wanted to get into solo roaming and stuff but never really did, beforehand i only ever had a warrior cuz my guild needed one for dungeons and stuff but ow im no longer in that guild and free to do what i want. So i would like to get into roaming I currently have a level 80 Necromancer but i feel like they are not very good for roaming.

Im wondering what is good special with the new specializations and stuff, Or maybe if necro is better than i think im just not sure, necros have always been my more favored role simply cuz i just like dark magic and zombies and stuff, but if the class doesnt fulfill what i wanna do ingame well then no point in playing simply for the cosmetic value imo

Honestly this is just a player problem not a class i have never had a problem with these guys we have plenty of ways to get onto ranged classes and once we do its practically impossible to get a necro off you with the amount of Cripple/Imob/Chill we have its just not gonna happen, and the only class that i even remotely have a difficult time with is Mesmer, and thats only if they are PU cuz kitten they can stealth a lot

I honestly dont see the problem with necro damage in pve, with wells, and traits i hit super hard with 100% crit chance and drop every enemy around me within seconds, if you are playing condi in pve ofc your damage is lowbut i have yet to have a single problem with necro in pve in most cases i it harder than any other class i play besides ele and maybe warrior, and when GS comes out its the damage is only gone go higher so ya

So i just bought the ultimte version of the expansion but i didnt get the items that come with it, i gotthe 4000 gems but i did not receive the Mini/Finisher/Character slot/Guild hall decoration/or glider skin

Do i get these when the expansion actually comes out? Or is this a problem that i should contact support about?

I’m new to thief PvP can someone tell why all the guides show a shortbow as the second weapon choice. I get the fact of the range. But what is use in a combat point of view.

Its mostly just a utility weapon, Thief is the one class that doesn’t need to switch weapons on a regular basis in fights since they have no actual cool downs and with good initiative control don’t have to worry about not being able to use their abilities, so like 80% of the time it will simply be used for its #5 to just get around the map much faster than any other class can except maybe a GS/Sword warrior.

Other than that the only times I find myself using my SB is 1 if I find myself where I’m out of stamina and need to evade incoming damage, 2 poison fields to deal with Warriors/make downed revives harder, and 3 to use The AOE blast finisher to stack Might for team/deal AOE damage to downed enemies.

My guess would be shortbow, only weapon warrior doesnt have that would still fit the warrior theme, of no “magic” based weapons

TBH, I dont agree with thief being the right choice, Thief may be strong in Hotjoin and unranked, but when you get into higher tier ranked play Thiefs def start to fall short in PvP

But if you are more into WvW then Thief is prolly the undisputed King of Solo roaming right now only class that can come close in the roaming aspect i would guess is Ele.

But other than that Thief offers little to Zergs/Groups besides maybe bursting the Distracted Medi guard, or mesmer.

And with the current Cele Bunker state of PvP the need for a roaming Thief /Decapper /FarCapper Thief in PvP is pretty much nullified. A single thief is not going to be able to a pull a good Bunk Guard/Engie/Staff Ele off point without help of a teammate, and Thief can’t teamfight well at all, so fighting for mid point is out of the question, therefore you leave your team at mid in a 3v4 situation with you as a Thief just standing around waiting to pick some one off if the time even comes.

IMO Ele would fit you better, takes a lot more to get used to, but ATM I would say Ele is the King of PvP if in the right hands, and is easily tied with thief, or very close second to thief in WvW.

Hey Guys thanks for the posts, I’m gonna go with Ranger, after reading your posts and looking at my own PvP stats I have played Ranger more than double any other profession . Didn’t even relies that I played Ranger as much as I did I guess its my natural go back to when i get frustrated with another class and It seems to fit my style very well, I even get compliments from a lot of people saying I’m one of the few Rangers they see that play the profession correctly.

Ok, So I’m still fairly new to the game, I only ever got a Warrior to level 80 when I like first got the game and all I did was map completion and stuff up to 80 and a few dungeons and w/e I never did anything else. Then is stopped playing for a bit.

Now that I have come back, I find that I really like doing Spvp alot, and wanna also get into some WvW maybe but not totally sure if my computer can fully handle the massive zergs (have to run WvW zergs at lowest possible settings)

But my biggest problem is Gw2 is my first MMO Only thing close i have ever played is like The Elder Scrolls games, and in those im used to being the uk TOP dog, able to just take on most things and do fine.

Now im not saying Im looking for MOST OP CLASS ALWAYS WIN EASY MODE lol But i just hate having a “HARD COUNTER” likes 9/10 times engie will lose to a necro, or a Thief will lose to a Guardian uk stuff like that.

Im just wondering is there a class that with the right skill is able to take on anyone and have a shot at winning like 50% of the time i just hate playing PvP or something andd seeing a class and going well im boned and even though i do well there just isnt much ic an do about what that class has.

And yes ik everyone is just gonna say try them all out, or Play what you like andI have played every class, and cant really say i have like an ALL Time fav class.

TL;DR Is there a class that if played well can take on anyone and have a shot at winning AKA no HARD counters

Ok, So I got the game back before the Sept. update, but I stopped playing for a long time, and just recently have the time to be able to play a lot now, and so i decided to get back into the game.

When I first bought the game I watched a lot of videos and I really like the whole Thief solo roaming WvW style or just Solo roaming in general, but in other games i have always played the tankier classes, not necessarily pure tanks, but I don’t like being the guy that dies in 2 hits unless I can actually blow up any enemy in 2 hits Basically the only time I played a squishy burst class was if the time it took for me to die was equal to how fast I could kill some one.

So I have been playing a lot of guardian lately and I played a ton of warrior before the big Sept update which I stopped playing before hand.

But I’m not sure what to main, if Guardian is a good class for what I want, or if Warrior would be a better solo roamer or if there is a different class I should play.

I have never even had a level 80 because I’m worried I’ll find out i kitten myself with my pick, so I would like to know what I’m getting myself into before I get there.

P.S. I also REALLY like playing sPvP in my “free” time so a class that is also good/indemand for pvp would be nice but not 100% needed.

Ok, so I made a post the other day trying to get opinions from players about certain classes.

I have brought the classes I find I would want to main down to Guardian and Ranger. I like both these classes for the build versatility, and heavy damage that can be put out, along with the ability to be tanky if needed.

I like the Solo roam aspect of the game, but I’m just not into thiefs in this game, even though I usually am (although I’m mostly a stealth archer in games I play)

But now I’m not sure between these two, both are looking like they will be in a good spot in the next patch which is always nice.

And I’m not looking for oh Ranger is better than Guardian or Guardian is better than ranger kinda stuff, IK a lot of it has to do with player skill. But just in general what people feel about these classes in terms of 1v1/pvp/solo or small group roaming

Perhaps you think like ‘’Ohh my god, Guardians looks horrible, I would never play as that!’’ or ‘’Meh, Rangers with pets..??’’
You will totally fall in love in a unexpected profession that you did not thought you would’ve like to play as.

Hey thanks for the comment, but I have tried every single class, for at least 50 pvp matches, may not a ton of time, but i feel that deff allows me to try builds, and get a feel for how the class will play.

Atm I think I brought it down to 2 classes, Guardian and Ranger. I have been playing a lot of these two lately and really starting to like them, and getting way better, prolly better than i am with necromancer atm.

Ok so, I have probably just been playing for about a month, and have pretty much been just doing PvP, getting a feel for all the classes to see what I likes.

But now I can’t seems to choose what class I wan’t because idk how they are in other parts of the game.

The classes I like the most so far are

Thief/Necro/Guard/Ranger (not in that order) I really like doing PvP and I find I’m more consistent with Necro.

But I have been watching a lot of videos online and stuff like builds/tips/montages and stuff like that. And I really like the idea of like a solo roamer just going around looking for fights and stuff.

And with the upcoming changed idk how much different these guys will be from now, if for better or for worse.

So Im basically looking for some general info/opinions on what people feel is good at roaming/pvp out of these classes, or if certain ones may not be worth it after the new patch.

So because the build you don’t play all the time is what got the biggest buff, these are bad changes…seems legit

people cant make a character, because the gates to get to Issormir wont open. Been sitting at it for like 30min now

So tried to make a Norn guard, and now i cant cuz some troll wont finish killing issormir, and we are stuck outside the gate, there are me and 3 other people just waiting and ive been waiting for like 20min, its on Sea of Sorrows server if that matters at all

Ok, so I am fairly new to the game and I’m stuck on what class I want to play.

Im stuck between Warrior, Necromancer, and Elementalist.

I wan’t a class that is good at PvP/WvW Roaming.

I tried to get into thief but its just not my style, just way to squishy for me.

I usually play Big brutes and stuff, like the guys that dish out a ton of pain but can still take a hit.

I just want to be able to fight pretty much any class.

I have been playing with Necromancer a bit but it seems like the moment i see an Elementalist or a half decent Warrior Im just screwed Im unable to keep condi up on them and they just heal stupid amounts, that there is literally nothing i could ever do to kill them.

Hi everyone just got the game the other day and I have been watching a lot of videos about the classes online and stuff.

Im looking for a class that is good in solo roaming, been trying out the Thief and its pretty fun but idk what else to try.

What do you guys think is the best 1v1 roamer style class.

Necro and Mesmer seem pretty cool also.
