I just had this crazy idea and had to post it..
What if the Mesmer’s personal dps is buffed…
and with every illusion you summon you lose 25% personal dps.
So the more illusions you have the less damage you do (would make sense in that you would have to divide your focus on multiple things).
Just throwing this idea out there, I have no idea about numbers etc.
Hello!
Army of Masks [AoM] is looking to expand. We’re an easy-going small guild that goes back to the beginning of the original Guild Wars.
Our usual recruiting method was playing the game, meeting new people and inviting them to the guild. Although it’s a good method to ensure people fit the guild and vice versa, it’s a slow process, so we are throwing open the doors to everyone to try us and see how we play
So what do we offer?
We’re mainly a PvE oriented guild based on Gandara, but you are welcome to join from any EU server
Guild mumble (VoIP) is available for all who join. It is not 100% necessary but does make a lot of content much easier, so it is a recommended download
We have weekly guild missions on a saturday (but may also add another day if popular)
Dungeons, Fractals, (Raids) and even help with mapping from our resident altoholic is possible. We have guildies of all levels of ability, so whilst most runs are laidback affairs there may be the possibility of more speedy runs too
Lvl16 Guild Hall with a jumping puzzle! (More to be added as the game progresses) plus guild boosts and nodes available in the GH
Occasional guild celebrations, Guild Wars 1 throwbacks and other random events
Whilst we will help out new players when possible, most of us are veterans of the game so veteran players should also find a good place in our ranks
The only ground rule is to show respect for each other and be a decent person
Any questions or for an invite contact me in game on:

If I’m online I’m often interested in a 50’s fractal. I’m on EU so give me a whisper whenever you need an extra body. I play Mesmer only.
I would love it when u get knocked back and use blink to get up quicker the camera wouldnt rotate 180 because your face happens to be in that direction..
And ofcourse:
- Temporal curtain resetting speed instead of doing nothing at all when you already have swiftness.
- Blink working on rough terrain.
- Range indicator for portal would be nice.
- Passive run speed would be nice.
- Also I’m having difficulty knowing which projectiles can be reflected/stopped with feedback and warden (traited or untraited).
Just my 2 cents.
Last four days I killed the wurm three times (1 time crimson, 2 times cobalt) all three times I did not get a bonus chest as well. Also heard other people not getting chest. For end-game content this is really frustrating indeed…
Abaddon, because he outdanced me 250 years ago
yesyesyes!
There was even something like this in GW1, the festival hatmaker. So why they haven’t implemented it in GW2 from the start… No idea, hope they will though!
I fully agree on the mantle. Gloves are barely visible on my mesmer, I haven’t seen the full skin yet so I have no opinion on that yet….
I use the gloves with my mesmer and the heritage coat, it has long sleeves that completely cover the forearm section of the gloves (which are the ones that have metal looking pieces) so it just looks like he has glowing hands.
I’m glad I have long sleeves as well then
On a side note, I could only preview the mantle as a heavy armor piece with the transmute item. Can this be a bug? Not to sound cheap but having to buy light shoulders just to be able to preview the skin with your armor seems a bit.. silly.
If you get the Radiant Armor through the achievement rewards (I don’t believe there is any other way to get it yet), then all you have to do is get another one from your achievement panel in order to view it, because they are unlimited .
Oh ok, so the initial one you get previews in heavy armor but when u get another one from your hero panel it will be the appropriate armortype when previewing? Can’t check atm because I’m at work, but if this is the case it’s fine with me

I’ve seen much loving and much hating on jumping puzzles, I personally love them.
I would like to hear your opinion about a neverending jumping puzzle (like fractals of the mists being a neverending dungeon).
We already have a small jumping puzzle that like that in Metrica province but taking it even further could be pretty fun.
The way i see it the same basic idea of fractals could be applied, every 10 levels the difficulty gets increased by adding different traps (causing conditions and even agony, involuntarily teleportations and such), enemies (increasing in difficulty up to soloable champions), hazzards (health draining effects like hunger/frostbite, deadly walls chasing you like the clockwork tower)
It would be a solo adventure but maybe a choice between solo and group would be even better.
Any ideas and opinions are welcome!
And just got another idea.
explode – channel for 2 seconds then shatter into stealth (1 second) dealing heavy damage to nearby enemies.
The explode skill just gave me another idea..
Phantasmal bomb – summon a phantasm that charges for let’s say 10seconds, getting harder to kill every 3 seconds. At 3 seconds it gains perma protection, at 6 seconds it gains perma evade, at 9 seconds it becomes invulnerable. At 10 seconds it will run to the target and explode dealing massive AoE damage.
I think the mentioned times should be doubled in PvP though…
Also I would like a skill that summons all active illusions to your current location.
I think it’s purposely designed like this. Just like when you inflict a condition with a weapon skill and the enemy dies from the condition it doesn’t count (I think). It’s a shame because it causes so many mesmer skills to not count towards weapon master achievements. Maybe a dev could clarify (I don’t know if its been said somewhere else on the forum though).
The most important thing I want to know is why Abaddon hates dancing!
Swap: change places with target enemy (maybe put in a 1sec immobilize).
skill turns into swap back: change places with target enemy again.
<< just don’t jump of a cliff when u switch back now>>
Shatter boon/condition dealing dmg to nearby enemies.
An elite phantasm would be nice! Maybe the doppelganger idea fits this category. Summoning 1 (or 2) clone(s) that mimics everything the caster does.
hahah that swap is epic, could cause a ton of qq in wvw though.
Ahh yeh.. guess they should disable switching into keeps and such..
Also the speed buff everyone wants (including me!) could look something like this:
signet of haste – passive: 25% increased movement speed
active: if target enemy is using a weapon skill he’s knocked down
The active ability is sort of like gw1’s signet of clumsiness, in my opinion they go pretty well together flavour wise.

Have u tried another skill? The damage u’ve done came from a phantasm. Killing an enemy with a phantasm doesn’t count towards weapon specific achievements so it might not count towards this achievement either.
Actually those should work as well. I used ‘Sea of Sorrows (consumable)’ and it gave me 5 pts in the achievement track as well.
