I heard that the world invasions were going to continue after the clockwork patch ended but at a less frequent pace. I haven’t had much of a chance to check it out yet, so I have a couple of questions.
1. How frequent are the invasions happening now?
2. How can I tell which zone has the invasion?
New vid unavailable in USA, or just me?
Same for me. And I’m also in USA.
What I think they should do is add two tokens or consumables to the gem shop. The first one is a token that will make quick travel to any way point, already unlocked, be free of charge for 1 hour. The second one would be a token that permanently makes all way points free of charge. Just make the cost enough that people would have to really consider if it would be worth it or not.
Hello I know that it is arenanet policy not to restore items or currency for user error, but I was just wondering if lag was considered user error?
Yesterday I was vendoring trakittenems but all of a sudden my screen froze and then I was disconnected. When I logged back on I noticed that an exotic item was gone. I tried the buy back option for a vendor but because I was disconnected the buy back was empty. I figure it must have been accidentally sold to the vendor during the lag disconnect. I don’t understand why there isn’t an extended buy back time or something along those lines.
A few weeks ago I accidentally bought an ascended ring instead of an ascended trinket because of lag at the laurels vendor. Unfortunately for me, support told me that they would exchange it, but only for another ring and not for the trinket that I originally intended to buy.
Is there any plans to add some kind of item restoration in the future or will it continue in it’s current state?

I think in time the new ranking system could work, but it will take a long time to balance out. Right now it will produce some blowouts that will essentially be over in the first day. It reminds me a lot of the college football rankings. You can lose by 10 points but still have your ranking go up, depending on what team you were playing.
Devon, have you considered going back to 3 day matches, or 24 hour matches to try and balance the ratings faster? This would also give the servers that are being blown out a chance to get a more competitive match quicker, and not have to endure it for a whole 7 days.
Or have you considered adding in the variable of coverage or population?

That website tracks the average points a server scored based on time of day. This could be really helpful in matching servers that have similar coverage times.

I can only stay on for a couple of minutes until I get disconnected. Arenanet really needs to look into the problem.
How about working on fixing skill lag in WvWvW before adding additional content that will pose balance problems.
Who decided on the reset times? Why did you put it at 6:00 PST instead of just putting it back to 5:00 PST like it was before?

I’ve heard about people making a new character and doing zone 1 to get 2 baubles, and then deleting the character and making a new one to repeat the process over and over. Basically this allows you to avoid the 2 bauble per character limit, since there is no account limit. I’ve seen posts by people in this forum that are doing it, but to me it seems really close to be an exploit.
Is this considered and exploit by arenanet or just a clever use of game mechanics? Has anyone seen arenanet post about this specifically?
The event was set to be on par with other “large” events, it’s less than 2 hours but the first event (the grawl attack) will not restart if another event in the chain is still running. So the worst case I can think of is that when the grawl attack recycled it saw that another event in the chain was running, and started the timer again.

The patch didn’t fix the overflow problem. Still getting over flow on every dragon event and sb. Or at least yesterday and so far today. I actually got my first overflow on maw earlier, which was hilarious.
I know I was talking about the first event of the chain, which involves the grawls attacking at Tors camp hasn’t started. It’s getting close to 2.5 hours on SBI and 2 hours on JQ. It’s okay if the timer was increased for the events but I just wanted to make sure everything was working properly.
I read in the patch notes that the pre-event that will spawn maw will start less frequently therefore making maw spawn less frequently. Yesterday maw took about 1 hour to spawn. Today maw hasn’t spawned on for over 2 hours one server and 1.5 hours on another. I’m still waiting right now as I’m typing.
I was just wondering if the maw timer was increased again since the major patch yesterday, or if the maw is currently bugged?
I’ve been trying to get in any WvWvW map for over and hour and a half with no luck. Hopefully they put the queue back to make it a little less random.
I’m getting this too. I try to join and it just says
“The world you are attempting to join is full. Please try to have your party member join you in your world”
So will they be adding queues back any time soon, or do we just have to keep spamming the join button until we get in?
I was just wondering what I have to do to clear DR from myself? I was leveling ikittenone, so not level 80 farming or anything, and all of a sudden I started getting 20 xp for dynamic events. I logged off and back on and that seemed to clear it but only for 2 events and then it was right back to 20 xp per event.
Can I only do a certain amount of events ikittenone per hour or something? Or is it a certain amount of kills? Do I have to go into another zone when I get hit with DR, and if so for how long until I can go back to my original zone?
I hope this change helps with the overflow problems. It’s almost impossible to do any dragon or sb event without getting to the zone at least 1 hour before it starts. I just arrived to try and do a dragokittenmin before it starts and guess what, overflow.
Still getting put on an overflow server during every dragon event and every sb event. I’ve done three total in the last 10 days or so and those were not in prime time. Unfortunately for me I usually only get a chance to play during prime time.
Did the new chest loot patch go live yet or will it be with the patch on the 26th? Arenanet should have events spawn way more often on the overflow servers, and they should also let us know we will be placed in an overflow BEFORE we spend 3 silver on a wp and then another 3 silver to get back for each event.
I’ve been have two major issues in overflow maps recently. I was sitting in an overflow waiting for a dragon on my server and then it popped up that my server was ready so I clicked travel, and then it just brings me back to an overflow!! Is this a bug or does everyone in overflow get this message and the first person that clicks it gets in?
The second problem is when my server was ready and the travel button popped up and when I clicked on it, it said network error please check your connection. Even though I was logged in the whole time, never got disconnected, and my internet was working just fine.
Is anyone else having these problems? It shouldn’t be this much of a hassle just to do world events with friends, or even just do world events at all.
I just did the jungle worm event in caledon forest and it died in less than 5 seconds. Probably closer to 3 or 4 seconds. I was spamming my attacks and didn’t get credit for a kill, so I didn’t get a chest. This happened a few other times on other low level boss mobs as well.
Has anyone else experienced world boss mobs at events dying this quickly? I hope that arenanet will at least give some of these mobs more health so they will last at least 20 seconds.
Still getting an overflow for every single dragon event!!! Increase the amount of people allowed per server or start putting these events on overflow servers. I don’t want to be forced to go to a zone 1 hour before the timer and then sit another 1+ hours waiting for a spawn.
It’s basically unplayable and hopefully this gets fixed soon but I’m not holding my breath.
The overflows are still out of hand. I’ve only been able to do a few events total in the past couple of days. This could be in part because I can only play during prime time, but I’ve even tried guesting on lower pop servers and I still get put in overflows. I don’t know if it’s guesting or just the servers not allowing enough people into the zones. I even got to a zone 30 minutes before the 1 hour window and still got put into an overflow!!
This situation if very frustrating. I just came back to check out the new patch and I can’t even do any of the major events because anytime I zone into a location where an event is about to start I get thrown into an overflow sever. Good luck doing a dragon event unless you plan on getting to the zone and waiting for an hour. It wasn’t like this a few months ago.
I also read the post on here about looting the same chest from the same event on the same day on multiple servers. How does this seem like a good idea to arenanet?
I really hope they do something to give people priority on their home server, or just change the number of guest servers from 2 per day to unlimited and let anyone go to any server at anytime to at least participate in events.
The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

The same thing would happen in Darkfall. All of a sudden the whole server would start to lag and we knew that someone was about to be attacked.
The rendering problem in WvWvW is making it unplayable. I haven’t logged on for about a week now and I just keep randomly checking the forums hoping that they fix the problem.
The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

In DAOC we used to joke that we knew we were going to be attacked by the Albs (I was Mid/Guin) when everything locked up for a second and lagged to hell. It was a sure sign we were about to get into it lol.
Didn’t bother me then, probably wouldn’t bother me now.
I’d rather lag for a second as the game renders and then see everyone with enough time to make decisions.
my 2 cents
All 4 of the top NA servers have several hour queues during prime time. Basically you either have to deal with it or move to a server that’s not in the top tier. My original server is HoD but my guild is seriously considering moving because the queues are only getting worse. I don’t think Arenanet is planning to do anything about the long queues any time soon.
