Beastmode's Green Aura Has Got To Go!

in Ranger

Tipper.6973

When the Soulbeast activates Beastmode and merges with their pet, there is a very large persistent green aura around the character. From what I can tell, it does not go away until you deactivate Beastmode.

For players like me who plan on stowing their pet away permanently, this is going to get old fast. We won’t be able to see our cool armor transmogs, and outside of maybe Sylvari players it just doesn’t look very fitting.

Can the aura be changed to a temporary flare up when merging, or something? I don’t want to be a walking glow stick. The game already has way too much of that =/

Lich Spec

Channeling the spirit of Vizier Khilbron, this specialization wields a scepter (of Orr!) and focuses on ranged condition damage. It could also be given a utility or two to raise skeletal minions.

It would be neat to be able to channel all the baddies from GW1. Revenant is missing a ranged condition option and Lich would pair well with Mallyx.

Feedback Thread: Summer Update (26 July 2016)

Tipper.6973

Overall, I feel like this update was good. However, I do have a couple comments.

  • It was too short on World PvE content. I completed the personal story and all the new map achievements in ~3hrs of gameplay.
  • The new zone is tiny and offers no replayability once you’ve finished the achievements. I actually think this is a good thing. Not every new map added needs to have an endlessly farmed meta. However… I think if you’re going to do these more traditional “single completion” maps, they should be far larger and more time consuming than this one. This is the smallest map in the game (including the “verticality”).
  • I feel like there should have been more skill adjustments. This is a common theme of each quarterly patch so far. ANet only addresses “current” issue abilities, for the most part. What about all the old abilities that nobody ever uses? or useless traits? There are many of them littered throughout the classes. I feel like some serious time needs to be spent on them, not just bits and pieces a couple times a year.
  • A 3 month wait for the next update seems too long if we only received 3-4 hours of new content in this one (after waiting 9 months).

Doesn’t have to make sense. It’s just an excuse to get us there. When else will we have reason to?

I’m getting some pretty nasty bleed damage using Shortbow + the buffed QZ & Sharpening Stone.

- Skirmishing / Wilderness Survival / Beastmastery

- Lynx & Bristleback

Lots of quickness uptime with this build from QZ and pet swap traits. You can very rapidly stack 40+ bleed. Survival Skill trait gives you decent access to fury and condition cleansing. I’m currently using shouts for perma regen and swiftness, but I imagine there’s a viable druid variation that swaps these out. I really like “Sick ’Em” + Bristleback’s activated skill though.

It’s not all doom and gloom guys. This setup seems solid to me so far.

Just wish shortbow was 1200 range. Why do we need multiple 900 range weapons??

[Suggestions] Future Elite Specializations

Tipper.6973

Not going to get deep into details, but I’d like to see:

ElementalistSword – Some kind of Battlemage with melee abilities and maybe stances.

NecromancerTorch – Primitive Shaman with fire magic and ancient elixirs / potions / alchemical concoctions. Summon swarms of locust and destroy foes with vile toxins and black flames.

MesmerTridentSiren-themed spec filling the “bard” niche. Use your imagination on this one!

RangerHammer – Shapeshifter / Primalist. Pet swap instead merges you with your pet, granting a form based on pet type. Would probably function similar to Death Shroud.

ThiefRifle – A Sniper that trades the DD’s mobility for enhanced ranged capabilities.

WarriorSpear – The Paragon class returns, granting the Warrior a mix of melee and mid-range abilities and Chants / group buffs. A more defensive / supportive archetype compared to the aggressive Berserker.

GuardianAxe – A deadly Crusader, focusing on heavy personal damage and some defenses. Smite heretics down with a redesigned set of Tome skills.

RevenantScepter – Channel the spirit of Vizier Khilbron in this new Lich specialization. Adding the much needed ranged-condition damage option to the Revenant, it would synergize well with Mallyx. Could possibly allow it to raise skeletons in battle, like a more “traditional” necromancer.

I left out Engineer because I really can’t come up with anything good. Maybe something based around the Steam Creatures?

Outside of (most of) these ideas I’d really like to see Spears and Tridents usable on land. There are so many great skins that you never see. It would be a way for ANet to introduce a “new” weapon class along with a ridiculous amount of art resources already made.

I love the look of the buildings, but hate the city. Why? It’s way too OPEN!

I’d prefer if it felt like a crowded, bustling trade hub. Instead it feels like a big roller-hockey rink with random merchants standing around.

Add a bunch of streets and buildings with the current textures and styles, and it would be perfect.

Overall, I prefer old LA.

I’d like to see Guardian as an actually effective group support class. I feel like this role is better done by Revenants, Druids, and Tempests…

I also think it should have a “medium” size health pool, as a side note.

I deleted my level 80 Guardian to free up a character slot. I like the class fantasy, but the current implementation sucks and I feel like I’m gimping myself by playing it.

I’d like to see a smaller, more focused large scale PvP / WvW map. I feel like a 1v1 (one server vs. one server) format would work a lot better for this.

I’m picturing a rectangular map, home base at each end, with a keep in the middle and a few nodes in between. A perpetual push/pull and war for the keep… king of the hill on a large scale. It could be a side thing to do like EOTM.

Season 3 will come out sometime this Summer. It’s likely to feature a new map (hopefully more than one) and will segue us into the next expansion.

ANet has stated that a large chunk of their team is actively working on expansion 2 at this time. We have no idea how far along they are, but if I were to make a (mostly uninformed) guess, it won’t be out for another ~16-18 months.

My plan is to play S3, then take a break from the game until the next expansion.

S3, Expansion 2, and Your Idea for both

in Living World

Tipper.6973

For expansion 2 I’d like to see a plot surrounding the Crystal Desert / Elona.

I think it would be really cool if during Season 3 while we’re messing about with bandit stuff, another Elder Dragon – Kralkatorrik – is mysteriously destroyed by an outside force. Maybe we find out via Glint’s Egg unexpectedly absorbing more power.

We head to the Crystal Desert to investigate, only to find out that none other than Palawa Joko is responsible. As it turns out, leaving Zhaitan’s corpse in close proximity to this undead lord was a bad idea. Through studying ancient magics, Palawa has found a way to harness Zhaitan’s lingering power, and has conscripted the remaining Risen forces into his own army.

With his new ability to absorb an Elder Dragon’s power, coupled with his larger than ever army, Palawa Joko’s natural goal was to take on even more power. His first target would be the next closest Elder Dragon, residing in the neighbouring Crystal Desert: Kralkatorrik. Joko is of course successful defeating this dragon (who is still wounded after his encounter with Destiny’s Edge), and is currently building the most dangerous army Tyria has ever faced… it’s up to us to stop him.

I’d really like to see a plot that doesn’t revolve around fighting dragons. I think they are weak as an antagonist (“they’re forces of nature! they’re big! they do stuff! we don’t know why!”) and honestly after the first two dragons, I’m already sick of fighting them. I also think the branded are a lame enemy archetype and I’m not that interested in a bunch of too-purple zones.

I’d much rather see a plot revolving around a real antagonist, with personal motivations and personality. Joko is the perfect candidate. He has already established lore, resides in a beloved area of the game, and due to proximity he’s a natural enemy of Kralk. Everything fits!

What do you suggest?

Tipper.6973

Full Celestial armor, full Signet Berserker.

Sword / Torch + Longbow

Your goal is to have as many raw stats as possible. Signets give passive stats + 500 precision, Celestial gives more total stats than any other set (at the cost of being less-focused).

As a Berserker, you can make use of all the stats included on Celestial gear, so nothing is wasted. You’re tanky with the warrior’s already high vitality and toughness, deal moderate damage from midsized crits and burns, have nice passive healing, and tons of aoe. You also achieve 100% crit rate with sword skills fairly easily (20% vs bleeding foes, 500 precision from signets).

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQNAsfTjMdQdH23BOeAnIWmCs3T7rt2ecECAjMlgQtrHA-TBiAQBoR53i0CYK1fgx+DQ7UAAQdBQSJIAeCAAA-e

It’s not really good for any other gamemode, but it facerolls pve. Spamming longbow bursts tags lots of mobs during big events, sword has nice damage on it’s burst and #3 + good mobility, and overall you don’t really die. Way more fun than a glassy build, IMO.

The Shaman Elite Spec

A primitive conjurer utilizing forgotten alchemical magics to immolate his foes. Wielding a Torch in his offhand, the Shaman would burn his enemies with black fire, searing the flesh from their bones and leaving them with festering, infected wounds.

  • Visually and thematically, think “Witch Doctor.” Bones, skulls, trinkets, swarms of locust… and of course, this Shaman’s signature black flames consuming his enemies.

The Shaman would be a mid-range condition based brawler, focusing mostly on burning, with some secondary poison damage. It would offer an alternative play-style to the current condition / corruption builds that Necromancer uses. This style would be more straightforward — your goal is to simply annihilate your foes with fire, rather than spreading your own self-inflicted contagions around.

Utilizing ancient alchemy, the Shaman would gain access to Elixirs as the new utility type. Each Elixir would allow him some temporary combat benefits (similar to GW1’s Preparation abilities).

  • I’m not going to go into each and every little detail of exactly what the Torch / Elixir abilities would do (ANet is better at that than me, and you guys can use your imagination!), but the idea is all about drinking these concoctions to buff your own attacks with fire, retaliating against attackers with poison, and buzzing around the battlefield leaving trails of black fire all over the place.

The Shaman would also learn to enter a new death shroud… sort of. Upon consuming enough life force, the Shaman will have collected enough power to consume his most dangerous – but powerful – elixir, the Blackwater Abomination.

  • Consuming this elixir will cause the Shaman to spontaneously combust, searing away his own flesh, and leaving behind a flaming mass of bone and exposed, boiling muscle. Almost like becoming your own Flesh Golem, except on fire. This fanatical form would have medium ranged (600-900) attacks and heavily increased movement speed. You’d be able to throw chunks of your burning flesh at enemies that would stick to them like globs of napalm, or breathe your putrid breath on enemies foolish enough to get close to you.

I feel like this would be a good parallel to the current cold-themed / power based Reaper spec. It would also help expand upon the fairly limited condition based options that Necromancer’s have right now. I think a primitive alchemist archetype would fit nicely in GW2, and the Necromancer is the prime candidate for it.

Drinking nasty ichors and fermented toxins, throwing cursed flames at foes, and ultimately absorbing enough souls to effectively consume a “suicide” drink and go all “flaming hulk mode” sounds fun to me!

I’ve put some thought into this and decided that the statement “6 devs” is probably false. I refuse to believe that six people have been working primarily on legendaries since HoT released, and have failed to produce any content. This is simply unfathomable to me, to the point that I don’t believe it is true.

These devs have more likely been working on other projects, and have had some occasional involvement with the legendaries. Being pulled from one project to another constantly, and never able to focus. I believe we’re seeing the result of that.

Go read some glassdoor reviews; ANet suffers from serious management and structural problems. This is obvious to anyone who has worked in a mismanaged office before. The symptoms are all there. I was a logistics and e-commerce manager for a shoe company for many years. I have seen first hand just how much time can be wasted when the executive team has you doing senseless kitten and confusing your employees. I believe ANet’s studio is basically a Dilbert comic.

I do not trust this company anymore.

FALSE ADVERTISING

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns will let you begin your journey toward the first new set of legendary weapons to be added to the game since its original set of 20 that were included in the launch of Guild Wars 2. The first three to be released will be the celestial axe named Astralaria, an experimental energy pistol called H.O.P.E., and the raven spirit staff named Nevermore. Additional legendary weapons will be released in small groups at regular intervals until the full set of 16 has been added to this game.

Myself and many other players purchased HoT based on the content we were told it would contain. HoT was marketed and sold to us with the promise that we would be getting more content than we did. Just go to the freaking HoT website if you disagree with that (looking at you, Mike).

It doesn’t matter if ANet believes that HoT has “enough” or “plenty” of content. That’s irrelevant and subjective. What matters is what the marketing team promised us, and what we did not get.

I have been patiently waiting and saving materials for a new legendary weapon I could use on my sword / longbow character since before the expansion launched.

I feel as though I have been lied to. I feel like ANet cheated me as a customer.

I will not be spending any more money on this game.

The game clearly was unfinished in many areas, but they were under pressure to get an expansion released. I guess it was finished “enough.”

Story line and missions were clearly UNFINISHED. What was the point of going to Rata Novus? That whole story arc felt rushed. And why was the personal story so short?

Open world lore was clearly UNFINISHED. Where was the clash with the Sylvari? Where was the Nightmare Court? Where’s Malyck’s Tree? How about some interesting history or dialogue from The Exalted? Some lore about The Forgotten would have been nice, too. Or the whole “What a powerful place!” quote from the freakin’ BALTHAZAR TEMPLE Hero Point… seriously? That’s all they could come up with?

The Revenant class was clearly UNFINISHED. Just go try underwater combat and tell me if that feels polished. Or try playing as a Ventari healer – LMAO!

Gear and items were clearly UNFINISHED. We got what, two new armor skins? Gee, thanks. How about those legendaries we were promised? The first three weren’t even ready at release, and we STILL don’t have any other ones yet.

WvW, not even going to touch that one. I could go on, but I won’t The game clearly wasn’t done.

The Most Outdated Profession

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Tipper.6973

Tipper.6973

I think the two most outdated are Warrior and Guardian.

Guardian abilities, as others have said, have become sub-par over time. Most of them have excessively long cooldowns, and unimpressive effects. Not only that, but some of their abilities are just downright broken.

How long has the Sword chain been bugged? How long have players been begging for the projectile aspect of it to be removed? The Consecration abilities are so bad that I think that cutting their cooldowns in half wouldn’t be OP. What about Spirit Weapons? Do I even need to mention those?

I also think Guardian base health needs to be bumped up to the middle-level. This seems like an unnecessary / unfair disadvantage when I look at a class like the Revenant, who has a very similar role. Not to mention the constant damage inflation since release, making this low health-pool mechanic questionable to begin with.

Warrior suffers from similar problems. They are basically shoehorned into using stances if they want to survive, and it just feels cheesy as hell. Physical skills have literally never been used and you could stealth-delete them from the game and I don’t think anyone would notice. The class is junk in pvp, and have been since HoT released. I feel like nearly ALL their utilities need to be looked at.

But more importantly, I feel like Warrior trait lines are the worst traits in the game. Their synergies are all over the place, and each tree doesn’t really feel like it fills its theme / role properly. Discipline is 100% mandatory for any pvp build (and many pve builds), no questions asked. Due to HoT inflation, Berserker is also pretty much mandatory. So that leaves you with a choice of one trait line to play around with when designing your build. Real fun.

For what it’s worth, I think we need major overhaul of core abilities and traits for all classes. The big overhaul they got before HoT didn’t account for the new elite specs. Now that this system is in place and we’ve had time to experiment, it’s time for a serious look at the actual traits and abilities.

I think the biggest problem with HoT was that they didn’t deliver on many “promised” features. And let’s not get into semantics about delayed release content and whatnot — many players were expecting more at launch or immediately after, myself included.

As long as they don’t repeat that in expansion two, I’ll be happy. Be realistic with the content expectations. Let me know exactly what I am getting with my money. Don’t say there will be a new set of legendaries if it really means “3 now, a couple more in 6 months, and then we’ll see about the rest…”

They’re going to adjust a few % numbers on an ability here and there, change some of the crafting recipes for HoT items, and call it a “major” quarterly patch.

Don’t expect much, guys. LS3 is confirmed to be VERY far off, so that’s out of the question. WvW is so broken ANet doesn’t know what to do with it (there is a dev post mentioning they might even just remove the new map). And we just got a raid wing, so that’s out.

There will not be any new content in this patch. Just adjustments to existing things.

Personally I’ll be happy if they overhaul a bunch of the broken core traitlines and weapons. They’ve just been buffing damage numbers and power creeping things bigger and bigger for the last year or so of patches. How about actually fixing things?? Redoing junk abilities, instead of just buffing them?

I’d like to see a story involving the premature death of Kralkatorrik at the hands of Palawa Joko. Under the advice of Glint’s offspring in LS3, we would go to the desert to destroy a still-injured Kralkatorrik, only to find out he has already been eliminated by the undead ruler of Elona.

Palawa Joko has found a way to steal / harness the magical power of defeated Elder Dragons. Due to his close proximity to Orr, he has already managed absorb power from Zhaitan’s lost corpse. In addition to that, Palawa has also absorbed and re-purposed the remaining Risen armies into his own undead legions. He used this new power to grow his empire, and immediately targeted the next nearest Elder Dragon — Kralkatorrik. The Crystal Elder Dragon, still recovering from his fight with Destiny’s Edge, was no match for the unrelenting numbers of Palawa Joko’s army. Palawa Joko now commands the power of two Elder Dragon’s, and has become a greater threat than anything we’ve previously faced.

The plot would revolve around us infiltrating an occupied Elona (via the Crystal Desert), finding new allies, and ultimately dismantling this new threat before it gets out of control. We would recruit the help of a misplaced tribe of Tengu living in the Desert, with them becoming a new playable race. We would push further south, and ultimately meet up and ally with a secret society of Sun Spears who are still active in the area, despite the authoritative rule of Palawa Joko. These new allies would teach us new fighting techniques, revealing a whole slew of new elite specs.

We would of course get the Paragon elite spec, utilizing Spears on land. It could go to either Warrior or Guardian. The Paragon would be a tanky / supportive archetype, defending the front-lines while bolstering allies.

I’d also like to see a Lich elite spec for Revenant, channeling the forbidden power of Vizier Khilbron. The Lich would be a Scepter wielding condition based spell caster, an archetype that Revenant is currently missing.

The Tengu would teach us their ancient magics, revealing the Shaman elite spec for necromancer. Wielding a torch and summoning ancient black flames, the Shaman would be a primitive brawler, teleporting in and out of melee combat while hexing foes and burning them with sinister black fire.

I’d personally love to see something like this happen. I am so tired of one-dimensional dragons being our main enemy, and I’m not looking forward to every expansion featuring them. Palawa Joko is such a perfect enemy — he’s unique, has personal motivation, lots of backstory, and he isn’t a mindless dragon “eating” magic all day. Let’s kill two birds with one stone — get rid of a boring Elder Dragon, and give us a real villain to fight.

The Thread "For Elona!"

Tipper.6973

I’m really hoping we see a Crystal Desert / Elona expansion next. Those were my favourite areas in GW1.

I think introducing land spears and a Paragon elite spec is a MUST — it could go to either Warrior or Guardian. A tanky support archetype with some group heals and buffs.

I’m less keen on the Dervish, since I feel like it would be too similar to Revenant. One could argue that it could just become a Revenant elite spec, but in my opinion the Rev needs a ranged condi spec first, and Dervish doesn’t fit.

So I vote for a new “Lich Stance” elite spec for Revenant, channeling the spirit of Vizier Khilbron and wielding a Scepter. It would deal primarily in conditions like poison and bleeding, attacking from range. I would also give all Revenants a baseline Focus offhand, since they only currently have Sword and Axe and it feels a bit lacking (Glint’s shield doesn’t count since it’s elite only). The Focus would have ranged support type abilities.

I’d also like to see a new Necromancer elite called Shaman. The Shaman would wield a Torch offhand and utilize “black flames” to burn and torment foes. This black fire would be the visual and thematic basis of the class. They would get a new death shroud that matches — a primitive looking conjurer dabbling in magics they don’t fully understand. I envision this class to be a mid range brawler, with high mobility and teleports, bouncing in and out of melee while hexing and burning foes.

To reiterate what I posted before. This patch shows us yet again how little attention goes toward profession and combat development.

Our characters… those professions we name… and play for thousands of hours… and pour lots of $ into, and the combat experiences in all game modes, are the #1 most important aspects of this game.

GW2 is an amazing AAA game in many ways. It also has some amazing combat elements, like life freedom of movement and a real “smoothness” to gameplay, but has CCC professions.

I was hoping that this year would be the year y’all start scrapping “things” and rebuilding professions, but this first patch shows that it’s just the same old status quo spread sheet number crunching with regard to professions and combat.

I’m not being rude, just being direct with this so I hope y’all can accept it… Profession development “departments”/projects/“to do” and wish lists are underfunded, and the patch notes clearly show how out of touch and disconnected things are. I know y’all play, but please take your eyes off spread sheets and take the red pill to pull yourselves out of numbers matrix ok?

Y’all want roles? Fix professions.

Y’all want spvp and esports to be good? Fix professions.

Y’all want to push the envelope with harder and more challenging content? Fix professions.

Y’all want to have the most kick kitten wvw experience for players? Fix professions.

Y’all want players making more and more characters and dropping thousands of $ to outfit these characters? Fix professions.

Want long term retention and high monthly concurrent numbers? Fix professions.

Want more referrals and great exposure in the gaming world for being known to have the best professions and best combat experience? Fix professions.

Professions 2.0. It’s time. Players deserve that investment, and that will all translate to more money in the coffers… Take the team and make it happen. Fix professions.

Agree entirely with this poster.

Many aspects of the professions are unfinished, unpolished, or broken.

It’s time to go back and look at EVERYTHING. Every single trait, ability, weapon. Everything. Let’s not just adjust AA damage and tweak numbers. Let’s fix the outlying problems and fix this massive part of the game.

I would say like 30-40% of abilities/traits are unplayable, all the way across the board.

I think more time and effort should be given to ability balance. The game has many broken, unplayable, or poorly tuned weapons, abilities, and traits, across ALL classes.

I dislike how tuning passes are usually just number tweaks. Many things need to be redone completely. Adjusting numbers just leads to power creep and doesn’t correct core issues.

Some examples of things that I consider broken / incomplete / in need of further evaluation:

  • Guardian Spirit Weapons
  • Warrior Physical Skills
  • Revenant Ventari Stance
  • Revenant Jalis Stance
  • Revenant Underwater Mechanics
  • Thief Pistol
  • Ele Scepter
  • Mesmer Scepter
  • Ranger Shortbow
  • Ranger Sword
  • Literally useless traits like Thick Skin
  • Traits that cancel each other out, such as Dual Wield (15% atk spd) + Berserking (15% atk spd). Why does this exist?

To name a small few. There are so many more things that need attention, but I can’t list it all here in great detail.

I also feel like base health totals should be increased on Guardian, Thief, and Ele. Power creep has made that mechanic outdated. Things like this should be looked at during balance passes.

TLDR: The game feels unfinished to me. I feel like FAR more time should be allocated to ability balance. This should be one of the main priorities.

Thanks for destroying the revenants

I’m a Revenant main since HoT launched and I don’t think they are overly nerfed. Don’t overreact.

Sword auto attack WAS overpowered.

Dragon Stance heal WAS too accessible. It was probably the strongest heal in the game, and remains quite good.

Hammer #2 was completely, insanely overpowered, especially in WvW. I don’t even think fixing the double hit bug and putting a 4 second timer on it is enough. It still feels too strong to me, when compared with other 1200 range weapons.

What we should be raising hell about, is the fact that THE REST of the Revenant class is still broken. Specifically, Ventari and Jalis. These entire stance-sets haven’t had any attention since like… the second pre-HoT beta weekend. What the kitten?

I really feel like ANet is not allocating enough resources, staff, or time to ability balance.

Every single class has broken abilities. Every single class has traits that don’t make sense or don’t work. We have failed traitline synergies and useless redundancies (taking “Dual Wield” + Berserking’s 15% haste literally does nothing! Why have two trait options that are so similar!?). The entire game is plagued with this stuff. But the balance patches we get barely change anything. Most of the time, we just get a few number tweaks here and there, when MASSIVE redesign is needed in many areas of the game.

You take one look on the class forums, and you can see page after page of well thought out ideas. Passionate community members are spending HUNDREDS of hours carefully analyzing the flaws and issues of their classes, making spreadsheets, opening up discussion on how things could be fixed, all sorts of useful stuff like that.

Why can’t ANet give their game the same care their players exhibit? Personally, I feel like the class developers are not at fault. I’m sure they are just as passionate as their community.

I think the real reason we don’t see the same level of “care” coming from ANet is because they are limited by time constraints in their roles. They have to come up with ideas, program them, test them, tweak them, re-program them, etc. Instead of doing that, isn’kitten lot easier to just adjust some numbers on the existing ability and put a bandaid on the problem?

Spirit weapons are non-existent.
Physical skills still suck.
Ventari Stance needs to be redone.
Revenant doesn’t even work underwater.
Numerous weapons across all classes are unused.
Traits are sloppy and lack synergy in many areas.
“Thick Skin” exists.

Just to name a FEW glaring problems. Everyone reading this can probably think of their own issues.

Please, ANet. Take your class devs OFF whatever other new projects they are working on, and put them on class balance full time. Allow those devs to FINISH YOUR GAME. They need more time. The game and the classes are currently incomplete.

What would you like to see in next expansion?

- Better story telling and more lore-based content. More flavour text. More backstory. Guild Wars has an interesting world and I’d like to see it fleshed out. HoT was really disappointing in that regard.

- Land spears! Pls Anet. This is the best way to add a new weapon type. The art is already there. Make some elite specs that use spears / tridents. I want to play a tanky warrior with a spear.

Cut feature. Pretty disappointing. Instead we got silly grunts and groans whenever we channel them.

Which weapon you want next?

Scepter
900 Range
Condition Damage
Elite Spec: Lich
Channel Vizier Khilbron

Pair it up with Mallyx and mace to become Abaddon’s newest warrior.

Revenant reroll, just tried Warrior again...

So I rerolled a Revenant when HoT launched, and I’ve been having a blast playing it. Today I thought I’d give Berserker another chance, since Warrior was my original main and I miss playing that character.

Man, what a disappointment. Everything feels strictly worse than Revenant. I’m so squishy and my damage feels no better as a tradeoff. I have pretty much zero sustain and mediocre dps. Warrior gets some decent group utility, but I don’t even feel like PS+banners is any better than what the Herald brings to the table.

I tried making a condi Berserker and was left scratching my head. What’s the point?

Berserker is still bad after weeks and weeks of feedback, starting during beta. What is going on?

Confirmed. Facet bug is back.

The Revenant bug list is unacceptable. Put a dev on it full time pls. This class is fun, sure, but it feels like its still in beta.

Stance Swap / Facet Energy Delay BACK!?

Last patch they fixed the stance swap “energy delay” problem where facets persisted for a moment or two.

This patch, it appears to be back.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Buffs might LOOK nice, but this does NOTHING to address the core problems with Warrior & Berserker. This is such a lazy “fix” and things like this just lead to power creep and damage inflation instead of actually correcting problems.

We need the Warrior mechanics fixed BEFORE you manipulate numbers, ANet.

Adrenaline decay is still out of control – Druids had this fixed for their transform, why not us?

Berserking functionality and uptime still feels clunky.

We are still shoehorned into Defense and Discipline.

Blood Reckoning, Wild Blow, and Shattering Blow are all still useless.

They have slapped a bandaid onto the problem and it just shows how disconnected they are from things.

+1 for Vizier Khilbron and his Scepter of Orr. We need a ranged condi weapon to go with Malyx/Mace, imo. Scepter would be perfect.

They are likely waiting for the raids to release before doing any analysis / balancing. My guess is that they are not even looking at feedback until then. Just bug fixes.

Good news, that stuff is account bound and you can give it to your new Revenant!

That’s what I did.
