Mirage has some seriously wierd mechanics and some backwards design choices.
Also seems to be lacking in condi clear, especially bad since condi seems to be the flavor of the expansion.
The mirror mechanic is interesting and i get where the idea comes from, but there needs to be more.. Something.. With the mirrors, they just dont do enough.. Maybe make them last longer and act as secondary illusions that can shatter but are stationary until picked up?
Ambush skill window is way too small.
Clones using ambush cant hit their targets properly, this applies to all the ambush skills, not just projectiles even though projectiles are incredibly easy to sidestep.
False Oasis is really weak and compared to some of the other heals, cant even compete.
Crystal Sands is super weak for a utility, maybe itll hit a stationary large hitbox golem, but it sure as hell wont hit players for any significant amount of damage.
Sand Through Glass has such a backwards design, whats the idea here? I teleport backwards to avoid damage, and then need to casually walk back into the fray to pick up a mirror for a second of evade? Makes zero sense.
Mirage Advance, its already a kittenty version of shadowstep, just adopt it completely and add stunbreak and remove cast time.
Jaunt doesnt have enough range.
Clone generation is hard in PvP, especially since Phantasms are pretty bad for Mirage, and you are forced to take certain traits just to not die to a single condi bomb.
Theres plenty of super synergies, shattering isnt suggested to avoid losing clones thatll be the main source of your damage, ambush skills that doesnt have any condi synergy, lacking OOC mobility.
Id say the main thing is the mirrors not having an impact, if they were treated as stationary illusions that last longer and mirror your shatters, that could be pretty cool, but right now they just tend to spawn in wierd places forcing you to charge your opponent if you want the mirror. Really, really wierd design.
I like the idea, but it needs alot of polish.
P.S. Power traits? Power is a thing people like to be able to run, but there are 0 traits that work with power.. And i see traits from each tier that can be removed or made baseline in order to slot in power traits.
Adding some power traits would also give you a reason to make the Sword and GS ambush skills actually impactful.

Vexa’s Lab in Fireheart Rise on IP 206.127.159.167:0 is stalled on the Corrupted Test Subjects stage and prevents completion of, among others, Astralaria 3: The Mechanism.
Im sure it’s in here somewhere, but:
For the love of god, add “Open all” options to more bags/containers. I just clicked my way through over 750 fractal relic boxes because of the +7 refunds.
Emmm OP… Do u know who buys most gems for REAL money? PvPers and WvWers… So is is obvious that they will balance game for those players. PvE is just farm and grind so even with nerfs it is still over easy to kill NPC xDDDDD
Just deal with it for some time, like we(WvWers) did with kittenton of sPvP balance that affected WvW and fight for over a year till they bring it back( like we did with stabillity ^^). But… The problem is that PvErs don’t bring em as much money as PvPers do so… 0,001% chance
As for why PvErs bring em less money answer is simple: They farm gold, while competitive players don’t, so the only way for them is to buy gems with real money
Im assuming you have no source for this information and as such, your entire comment is invalid.
I’ve been playing this game now for a fair bit of time, and with all it’s ups and downs there is one thing, one “small” thing, that’s annoying the hell out of me.
That’s every form of popup, window or text that can’t be hidden.
For example, currently in the SPvP map Forest of Niflhelm there’s a spawn timer for the beasts along with an informative text telling you what happens when you kill them.
Now all of that is great for new players, not so much for an experienced one.
The fact that you can’t hide it is infuriating because in a game with a ton of effects and things you need to pay attention to, the last thing I need is two huge boxes telling me stuff i already know or don’t give a kitten about.
Another example would be information regarding SPvP tournaments.
That green text informing me there’s currently a cool tournament going on and that I can go watch it on Twitch. There’s nothing wrong with that information, it’s good to let players know.
… But is it necessary to force us to see that text constantly?
I’ve read the text, thank you for letting me know, now please go hide!
Considering the lack of mod support, I would have expected us to atleast be able to customize our UI in a basic manner.
I dislike playing with a fixed billboard on my screen, informative or not.
I can’t be the only one that feels this way?
Only in fractals, especially with the good old “boons on crit” instability. Those were the days.
Everyone wants convenience. The players setting PuG requirements are trying to select teammates using available criteria because they want the convenience of a smooth, successful run. The OP wants the convenience of getting into any group on the LFG.
Sometimes, I think the so-called elitists are being more rational. They’re resorting to LI’s because they think it’s the best available indication that someone has at least killed some bosses. Not to say that LI’s are a great indicator, but the game does not offer a lot of other options to use as filters. The people who want in on any group are expecting other people to want exactly what they want. Expecting acceptance from PuG’s is not all that rational.
While I agree that convenience is important, it’s also true that there are times when you have to eschew convenience to get what you want. Form your own PuG. Form a guild. Join an existing guild. Someone took the initiative to set up that PUG and (presumably) “lead” the raid. Why can’t you take the initiative? Why is your convenience more important than theirs?
I sympathize with your desire to raid. I understand the catch-22 implicit in requirements set by some groups. I also wonder, if you really dislike their approach, why do you want to play with them?
Well said.
The problem with moa is that the duration really WAS too long. It was a must have, and as such a nerf was needed. Now you’ll of course disagree with that if you play mesmer, but you are far from the king of useless elites. Moa is still useful, just not an “I win button” in ranked, or atleast requires more coordination, wich is good.
10 seconds of being useless is a LONG time in any pvp scenario. Especially with some amount of coordination.
Also, while you are right that the cooldown on the skill is 180 seconds base, you are also wrong, since no one ever uses moa outside of continuum split unless they really, really, really have to. And even then still think twice about doing it. That sets the CD on a comfortable 90 seconds instead of the 180 listed.
Now lets talk about gravity well since you mentioned “king of useless elites” gravity well is still very viable, it has reasonable counterplay and good CC, just fades in comparison to a 10 second period of being cannon fodder. Maybe now it will see more play.
EDIT: Obviously not counting alacrity wich will lower that CD even further.
EDIT 2: Also, all the elites you mentioned can be broken by a timed moa. Lets not forget! There’s a reason I said “core mesmer” in title. I totally agree that on chronomancer using continuum split Moa is still very strong, and I wasn’t trying to defend 20 second moa on chronomancer. However there’s no reason at all to pick Moa on a core mesmer now. Mass Invisibility is the better pick because of it’s 80 second cooldown and 10 second stealth when traited. I am totally willing to see complete rework of Signet of Humility so it doesn’t involve Moa transform, since so many have a hate toward it… I have never experienced it as game-breaking when I play warrior, thief or guardian (warrior is my main), but maybe that’s just me.
Bottomline: seems like I have to accept that the way ArenaNet is going they are making all core specs unviable and elite specs mandatory, which leaves me with the choice to buy HoT so I can compete, or quit this game.
Im so sick of people wearing these nostalgia goggles.
There were meta builds, useless traitlines, kittenty utilities long before HoT.
Now that mesmers are more viable than ever, it makes no sense to balance it around the “core” game when the core game isnt the actual content being invested in…
Sorry, but what role would that perma evade thief fill?
Maybe it survives for a while on point, but eventually itll just die if kited correctly.. Not to mention in this condi heavy meta most classes taking 1v1s are used to dealing with condis.
Solo players cannot advance in the new content, and any decent publisher would disclose such a fundamental change prior to taking your money.
I can, i have and i still do.. That being said, obviously there are things that cant be soloed. Like meta events, or world bosses. Thats because its an MMO, now what this means is that player interaction and cooperation is encouraged and even intended..
Shocking, i know, but if you want to solo everything may i suggest a Singleplayer game instead of previously mentioned “Massively multiplayer online role-playing game” (Please note the multiplayer part, its really whats important here!)
Why can’t I get them in WvW or PvP?
FOR EXAMPLE:
If you made new gear that was 30+ points stronger per piece in comparison to other ascended trinkets and made it so you had to reach legendary in PvP rank to get them…. you would have an uproar…Oh wait, you already did that, except it was in favor of the elitist PVE people instead of the elitist pvp/wvw people, oh riiiiight, the pvpers and wvwers are use to being pooped on and treated like this…….
THANKS ANET
You are blowing this a bit out of proportion, are you not?
The sad amount of advantages that HoT has over Core makes the game virtually unplayable. Now there are going to be people from all over this forum trying to troll but yet they’re all more than likely running HoT builds or they’ll say there are still some Core Guardian builds in spvp.
Doesn’t change the fact that a vast majority of HoT skills/architecture are simply much better than Core. Now there are too many advantages to list…Ill leave those for the people that know the game well enough to know what they’re talking about…But had I been told that any expansions would be far superior & in fact designed to make you uncompetitive so you would be forced to buy them, I never would have invested any time/effort/money in a business model that is clearly “Pay to Win” now. In fact, we were told the opposite.
Im not entirely sure actually BUYING the game qualifies as “Pay to Win”. Or maybe it does? I mean, you are buying the game i suppose so in a way you buy to play to win?
But most games require you to own the game to be able to play and you need to play in order to win.. Hmm.. This is confusing..
Im going to assume the main point is the HoT elite specs that everyone thinks are unfair and that it killed build diversity etc.
In fact, if you just rewind the clock to before HoT, you will find that there were 1 or 2 traitlines that were always chosen, 1 build that was always “meta” for each field of the game and there were always classes that were less popular than others.
So summing this up, nostalgia goggles aside, the elite specs are powerful, and basically a “must have” for every meta build out there. But thats not really any different from before..
When it comes to the “F2P” Players or just the old core game vets, you still have the same game, the same builds, as before the expansion and the elites that were marketed were intended to drastically impact the way you play the class. Now since there is just one elite spec for each class, the balance will obviously be a bit off compared to the “vanilla” traitlines until such time as more elite lines show up.
Until then, either play the core game that is the same as it always was, or buy to play the full game. No sub fee, no P2W (since owning the game isnt considered P2W, lets face it).
You need to move beyond core specs as they’re complementary to elite specializations now. Elite specializations is the new game now. There’s no way that they’ll keep core specs on an even par with elite specializations – what’s the incentive for pvpers/wvw to buy expansion packs then?
Admittedly, this is a weird time as we only have one elite specialization to choose from but I’ll guarantee any amount of gold that it’ll be better when we get more.
You need to move past core specs being on the same field as elites. The game has so should you.
Gw2…officially pay to win.
Most games require you to actually OWN the game to win.. So by that logic every game out there is pay to win?
Logic
Havent had any issues with any AR, make sure you have enough and dodge.
Especially in the dredge one, when he does his ground-pound, dodge the waves.
After reading through 6 pages of text, I fail to see why this had to be turned into a prestige item so rare and expensive as to be pretty much unobtainable.
Going by the logic of the game’s UI itself, this should be a checkbox, like other armour slots have, pure and simple.
Imagine having to pay 2300g for the ability to hide your guardian’s gloves , for example, then having to pay the same for your mesmer’s shoulder piece, only to find that it’s so rare, there isn’t even a single piece for sale.
This should be about having the ability to hide your foot slot armour piece, not turn it into an actual piece, with all the impracticalities that this brings.
…and then adding a drop rate this low.
It actually feels mean spirited in a way.
Not cool Anet, not cool.
Id have to agree with this. Its the same with alot of cool items like the various effect infusions. Making something grindy as hell and RNG doesnt make it prestige. Now if you place it behind, say, a collection, THAT would be cool.
I dont really care how tedious those collections might be, but it makes alot more sense than having to grind mushrooms between 1 (if you have godlike RNG) and 6 billion times.
Yes please. For the love of all the gods. Give us a keyring.
Also, while you’re at it, add the remaining crafting materials to the bloody material page.
And add a search function for the material page. Why this isnt already done is beyond me.
There has always been a problem with moa. Always.
Now, if you play solo Q, on whatever level, chances are you wont be very coordinated and 10 seconds might even feel like a short time since people are hardly ever organized enough to burst the focused player down fast enough.
However, in organized play and the higher ranks 10 seconds is a HUGE window of opportunity and chances are the individual targeted will die within 3-4 seconds unless supported.
So yes, a nerf was needed. Considering its, again, 10 seconds that player cant do anything.
Now lets get some counter arguments going:
“But its 180 CD! Its so long, it should be impactful!” – Wrong, its 90 sec, always used with CS (not even counting the alacrity on that CS)
“Moa has been fine so far!” – No, it hasnt, it was the go-to elite in organized play like.. Always.. And thats for a reason.
“Nerf CS instead!” – Dont, its what makes the class unique, and even so, longer CD doesnt affect moa at all unless the CD is over 180 and at that point CS would be pretty useless on its own.
“Elite specs” – Elite specs NEED to be more powerful than the core, that is what makes them elite. When they add more elite specs, it will make sense.
Now lets move on and evolve!
Unranked matchmaking is horrible, people couldnt care less in 90% of my matches.
I give you a quote from just 30 minutes ago, enjoy the mentality of unranked:
“I just try to do daily stupid stuff while talking in guild, i dont even care xD " – Player that spent about 60% of the match AFK.
The problem with moa is that the duration really WAS too long. It was a must have, and as such a nerf was needed. Can confirm: Tea running ranged DPS druid + my p/p venomshare thief = dead Chrono bunker XD
have you tried venom share and mm or rise necro?
I don’t even know what that means
Anyway, there’s a nice easy takedown of a chrono doing his thing at mid in this fight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL0SnGDCP5cThat wasnt a bunker. He’s running a traditional shatter with GS – S/X, of course he melts after burning all of his CDs in a second flat while being out of position.
Next!Wait a minute, have you never killed a bunker chrono before?
Are you asking me? Yes, i have. But i rarely duel them since that would be a waste of time and outnumbering kills everything eventually..
I was simply pointing out that the linked video wasnt against a bunker mesmer.
So the general buzz is chron bunker is overtuned. The hate train is a chugging for mesmer again. So what nerfs can we expect and how can we prepare for them?
I expect precog to bump up to 60 secs and mes to lose its stability from shatter trait. At a minimum…
Well, we know they are shortening the block duration on the shield, also, a smart move would be to make well of precog prevent cap point contribution (or distortion in general, but that seems a bit much perhaps). Would force people to play more tactical with their immortality-wells-of-doom and probably make for some interesting base changes to build upon later.

Next!
Interrupt their distortion..which can’t, but try anyway.
Run away from them when they block..forget the cap.
Avoid the multiple pink/purple Aoe fields and screen pollution.
keep excess stamina to avoid the potential moa, which hopefully you’ll see through all the animation mess.
Bring 5 stun breaks for the multiple spam interrupt.
Bring some sort of reveal in cases of stealth.
Bring heavy boon removal.
Bring 5 grandmaster traits.
Bring attacks that penetrate heavy evade. The reality is, top tier players don’t like chronomancer, mid tier don’t like chronomancer, casuals don’t like chronomancer. The trend across the board is all universal.
1) Too many escapes.
2)Too many blocks.
3) Access to invulnerability.
4) Access to stealth.
5) Access to stuns.
6) Access to transforms.
7) Reliable swiftness.
8) Strong bunkering capabilities. You can see they are just too good currently. However that can be said about a few elite professions, however this one is about mesmer. Dragon hunter has the same thread. Chillomancer has the same thread. Auramancer has the same thread. Mallyx rev has the same thread, Druid has the same thread.
The sooner anet and players all agree HoT pushed things too far, the sooner the terrible mess of ESL, leagues, ranked can be addressed.
Just because a very specific theorycraft suggestion about how to down them is in progress doesn’t mean they aren’t in a state of unbalance. It would be better we all agree Pvp is in a wack state..accept the nerfs, move on and hope for a usable balance patch.
Going to assume you dont actually play a chrono.
First of all: Why would you ever run Moa as a bunker?
Second: The issue isnt their survivability, really. The issue is Distort not blocking caps. If using well of precog prevented cap point contribution, you would see more thought go into using them.
Third: Invis as a bunker? Who runs torch or any form of stealth util/elite as a bunker?
Fourth: You really dont know anything about building mesmers and what roles they play with what utilities, weapons and elites do you? Next time you write such a long post about issues people have with X, do some research for gods sake..
With your logic, every class runs every wep combo, every build and all different utilities for all roles. Not going to lie, that does sound awesome.. But its not really accurate, is it?
So with the res nerf (that im seriously wondering who thought of in the first place..) for revenants coming soon, all they need to do is to make distort (or preferably just well of precog) prevent cap point contribution.
As for the ele and necro, i really dont see what all the fuzz is about.
Dragonhunters are one trick ponies that litterally cant do jack with traps on CD.
I dont mind people taking some coordination to kill, but having AoE immortality and still be able to hold points is a bit much perhaps.
(edited by Todd.6573)
Was playing ranked when suddenly after using phase retreat i couldnt move. I could still cast spells and everything, but all movement was blocked.
It only cleared up once i managed to phase retreat myself into the enemy team, but by that time the match was basically over.
Im not sure what caused it, was fighting a revenant next to some stairs, dodged, phase retreated and then it basically bugged me out.
(edited by Todd.6573)
Raids aren’t meant to be pugged in the first place.
Can someone please point me to a post or blog that has a Dev saying this? I’ve never found it. Also you all should be scared if this is truely the case.
People probably are referring to this https://youtu.be/1FUkGRxuxV0?t=6m31s
Fair Enough…. Thank you for that…
Scary Stuff…. And Sad for those that have lag that will never allow them to complete the Raids reliably.
Lets not get into the whole “give me stuff for free” argument. Complicated, hard encounters were highly sought after. You can “pug” the bosses, but you’ll still require teamspeak, knowledge of the fights, correct masteries and bring the right gear/class for the job as the fights are fairly mechanic heavy with tight DPS-checks.
If your net causes your trouble, thats unfortunate, but a few people having unstable connections does not warrant a nerf for the remaining playerbase with stable connections.
Also, while not a very “fun” alternative perhaps, you get dungeon tokens even if you wipe up to a weekly cap of about 100. So technically, the people whom the gods of speed has not graced with their connection can still get some loot provided they bribe or fight their way past the Vale Guardian.
Hey all,
Just a note to say that we’ve disabled one of the hero points in Auric Basin for a little while to allow the team to fix an exploit with—of all things—poisoned bacon.
The devs will get a fix in very soon and you’ll soon be able to acquire that hero point soon.
Thanks for your understanding.
Its been more than 6 days now. For a bugged Hero Point. It doesnt even take my ordered merchandise from the other side of the globe 6 days to arrive.
Hotfix it already.I feel you don’t understand what a Hotfix is. A Hotfix is a fix that is implemented while the game is still running, aka hot. It is not a fix that is magically created instantly at the leisure of the programmers. If it is taking them days to complete it, taking in mind that four of those days were effectively the holiday weekend, then it is obviously difficult and more complicated than they expected.
Im well aware of what a hotfix is. The only exploit that would warrant an immediate termination of said HP would be experience farm. Removing the XP alltogether would be a more appropriate solution as that does not hinder gameplay or progress for an unspecified amount of time.
The above should, in my opinion, be “hotfixable” as it is such a minor operation.
They just chose to close it entirely until todays patch i assume.
I particularly enjoyed the irony in nerfing event chains that people failed intentionally to get more loot with the statement: “It’s bad m’kay?” and then placing several collection items in loot tables you can only access when an event fails.

Hotfix it already.
There were a few reasons for keeping players in HotM when queued:
- It forces new players to recognize they have completely different builds in PvP maps.
- You won’t miss the match accept because of load screens and get dishonor.
- We can make a better user experience (match accept and map voting) without having to worry about interrupting whatever a player might be doing elsewhere.
In order to allow queuing from outside HotM, we would need to change these things.
- We would need tech to remove players temporarily from queue during load screens.
- Create better tutorials or gating for new players so they don’t hop into PvP unprepared.
- Revisit the way the match flow UI works.
Open a SPvP mastery to unlock it? Would force people to play X matches before being able to queue outside of HotM. The queue times for newbies are so low anyway.
Alternatively, lock it behind a SPvP rank limit with an explanation that should you be in a loading screen when the queue pops, you will be removed and have to requeue.
No need to change anything and “veteran” players will be happy.
As for the UI, its out of my league.
China has its own market, so their precursors dont really affect us in any way.
Lets just be glad that their model isnt for us!
While gating is sometimes pointless (charged quartz anyone?), i do believe this is justified.
Since there isnt any gear treadmill, some form of progression is needed and was highly sought after by many, along with more challenging content.
The solution is character evolution, and it’s far better to have that gated behind EXP since its easy to grind, especially with consumables that most players have ton of anyway. (Not to mention you’ll gain it passively just playing the events etc)
The alternative would be something along the lines of skillpoints that you interact with for points, and while that isnt “gated”, it does require alot of running around and honestly, who likes running around channeling at certain points to evolve?
Also, since your progress is account bound, you wont have to do it on several toons, and thats a big plus.
Dear god, let it be true.
Also, no, it hasnt always been that way, ranger machinegun tracks invis.
It also tells some players that they can’t play the endgame, so they should find another game to play.
Im just going to assume you are for the whole “everyone wins!” mentality during school competitions (is it even a competition if everyone wins?)
More content for people that like a challenge and people screaming for some form of coordination requirement is amazing.
If players dont want to do that (lets face it, they are not excluded, they just simply dont want to or dont bother taking the time to learn how to raid) thats fine. Just dont argue about needing to get everything for free. Some rewards hidden behind actual skill will be a breath of fresh air.
Nothing like saying something is pointless before its released.
Unless saying its pointless is pointless because no one knows.
I actually almost failed a teq a few weeks ago because everyone left the defense event too early.
Sounds like thats whats happening, people being stupid, not teq being harder.
If it is truly harassment directed at certain people and not just normal sex-on-the-net talk I would make sure to screencap it and mail it to Anet in a support ticket as that would be unacceptable.
However, as we’ve seen in the media, sex on even the most basic level gets this response from people but blood, gore and death doesnt even make them flinch.
It was mentioned in the twitch stream that the new pets are not only for the Druid elite spec, but “for all rangers” as well.
https://youtu.be/K2ZHhJQn0B8?t=1650
Irenio – “’There are new pets that will be available in Heart of Thorns.”
Rubi – “And this is for all rangers, not just the druid.”
Irenio – “That’s right. This is kind of the thing that all rangers are getting access to in the Heart of Thorns.”This is confusing to me. How can it be “all rangers” if the new pets are only available in HoT areas for those that own HoT? It would not be for all rangers, it would be only for rangers that own HoT.
As the juvenile form of the pet needs to be charmed, a regular ranger would not be able to get them as the juvenile form would only be available in HoT-only areas.
@Gaile (hiya, Gaile!)
- Is this just incomplete information given during the twitch stream by Rubi and Irenio or incorrect words used?
- Do the new pets actually require HoT and the Druid elite specialization unlocked to get them, but once gotten they can be used by non-druid rangers?
- Or is it as it came off as being – that HoT is not required to get the new pets as it was said that all rangers will have access to them?
- And if they are available to all rangers, does this possibly mean that pact Tyria will be seeing Mordrem and the juveniles of the new pets for base rangers to charm so base rangers can charm them outside of HoT-only content areas?
“In heart of thorns”, i would assume since “Heart of thorns” is the name of the expansion, they are available in the expansion areas (meaning rangers that can access those areas). Ergo – people that buy the expac.
They might make exeptions for SPvP though since they are all about even playingfields there.
Druids look insanely OP right now. Perma swiftness and condi purge along with insane passive healing, insane CC mechanics, Insane utility.
Its not even lacking damage right now since there seems to be little to no counterplay.
Overpowered for PvP.
Am i doing it right?
Druids look like the new elementalist. Unkillable and with insane utility, passive healing, dmg reduction and basically constant swiftness. Not to mention unmatched condi cleanse on demand.
10 / 10 would nerf HARD.
just bought the game and i was reading in the pvp forums and the class forums and basically discovering my preferred class in most mmos is completely crap… should i just refund the game? seems kind of pointless to play if the class i want to play is garbage
Thieves are far from crap, having no issues finding roles in PvP or PvE. People are just a bit salty about everything right now.
Dont see why they dont adress this honestly.
Its not like its a big deal to just explain the decision..
Is this really an issue for people?
Double loading screens just to save a silver?
Thats like three mobs..
Also integrating Black Lion Shop previews with the regular window options and fixing multi armor class items defaulting to heavy armor!
I was annoyed with this for a while aswell. Then i learned what terrain i could TP on and what terrain i could not.
I guess they could recode the way it determines target validity, but that would take alot of time and effort and probably not have a huge effect on gameplay…
DR usually is reset if you do a different task with your character. Just go to a different map, complete an event or two and continue farming.
This is my experience aswell.
Doing something else for an hour, like running a fractal or two seems to fix it for me.
I have been away from the game for about 6 months now. Is there any reason for me to come back?
What I’ve already done:
1) I have 12 characters at level 80
2) I have created 3 legendary weapons
3) I have ‘Dungeon Master” Title
4) Was level 50 FOTM reward level
5) Was around 20,000 Achievement Points when I left (I think)The expansion pack does not look exciting to me. Is there any reason at all to re-invest my time in this game?
Give it a shot, find inspiring and fun people to play with and you’ll soon figure out if you like it or not.
Yes, they are actively altering individual player coding to impact droprates while favoring new players.
OR.. Maybe its just RNG? Like all other games that have any form of Random Number Generator (Rolls, drops etc…)
Of course, conspiracy theories are much more fun!
If you focus on farming, it wont take you “that long”.
Id start with the map completion, spending laurels on T6 material bags, rolling for laurels (I did 10 at a time because even if you dont get laurels, the mats will help) selling mats you wont need, obviously maxing the crafting proffessions you need aswell as running dungeons daily for the gold / tokens / lodestones.
Good luck!
Id support this change, but only if its made optional.
That way new players dont get affected and veteran players lives get easier.
Haha, i remember those.. Enjoyable easter egg.
