Does anyone own an Ilex of dreams single handed sword? May I ask why is it worth that much gold? I can’t see much effects from photos found online and I can’t find a video regarding this sword. I have tried using preview and saw nothing fascinating about this sword, I was wondering if there are some effects which can’t be seen in preview mode. I would highly appreciate it if any owners would like to share some interesting screenshots of this sword?

I’m currently looking for a good sword/shield build for mainly PVE and sometimes abit of WvW, I can’t really find any from sites like “intothemists” and “metabattle”. I guess its because sword/shield is currently not Meta. However, I kinda sick of GS and wanting to try out sword/shield for a change. Is there anyone out there who can provide me with a good sword/shield build which I can use? I will be highly appreciate it. Thank you.

I often see players with shiny armor like example shiny green or gold, but when i put my mouse cursor over to their armor, its turns out to be a normal dye colour, is it some kind of special effects? or is it a dye?

I would to like to check with everyone which of the following is the cheaper or more recommended way of getting a bifrost:

1) Buy the precursor (cheapest currently 1,298g) and mats (not sure how much will it cost for all the mats)
2) Buy the legendary (3,454g) itself

Note: No farming for purchasable materials for both options.

Anyone knows if Labyrinth chest gives better loot in tier 3? No one is getting the quest to tier 3 nowadays, i’m wondering if its because they know that it doesn’t affect chest loot.

I have decided to just craft eternity and keep it, since i’m not making a deal from selling twilight and buying eternity after that. At first I wanted to tranmute eternity skin to sunrise because of the sigils, but bah, not worth it.

I just resumed guild wars 2 few weeks ago after 1 year of break and many things have changed, especially the new wardrobe system. I have tried reading up forums for answers but it is confusing for me, so I have decided to post my question here, hoping for any kind souls to enlighten me on this issue.

I have a soulbound sunrise right now and in the process of completing a twilight legendary. If I want to have all 3 skins (sunrise, twilight and eternity), is it better to sell my twilight and buy an eternity and soulbound it ? And if I want the eternity to have the stat and sigils of my current sunrise, I will just transmute the eternity skin on my sunrise?

Does what I state above makes any sense? Is it possible? I came up with it with the knowledge I got from reading forums. I would like confirm if I am correct in my points.

Side note: If what I said is correct, why do people still make eternity and sell? Isn’t selling sunrise or twilight more worth it? They can buy eternity off the market with the money they get.

The thing is Guild Wars 2 entry doesn’t appear in the “programs and features” and Guild Wars 2 can’t be found in my C drive. I can still play the game btw.

May i know how do i do a full uninstallation of Guild Wars 2? like uninstall game with registry etc. I can’t seem to find a Guild Wars 2 folder in my desktop or an uninstaller file.

Any hints on the arrival of gem store item that can change character’s name or making legendary weapons account bound instead of soulbound? I would prefer updates like these than those listed on the transcript.

Hi! Does anyone here own both of the great swords? I would like to know which has better vision effect (while moving, swinging, attacking)? I’m not referring to the looks of the great sword, I’m referring to the purple or blue particle effects surrounding the sword. I’m a warrior, and which color suits which profession doesn’t matter to me. Hope to get some useful comments from everyone. Thanks!

May i know whether Hammer Warrior or Hammer Guardian is more useful in WvW? Mainly focusing the topic on Hammer skills of both classes.

If i were to play sword/shield on my warrior, what stats should i choose for my sword and shield? Should i get both berzerker? and what sigil should i put on them? thanks.

Thanks for your reply, I just need to change my rings to knight? How about about the rest of my trinkets? Will that be enough to bring my armor higher by a decent amount? How much armor should I try to achieve? so i can try and do some adjustments if just changing the rings aren’t sufficient. By the way, I already have 30 level on valor. Thanks again!

I just created a guardian and made it to 80.

My armor set is Power/Toughness/Vitality with superior rune of soldiers.

My Trinkets are a mix of emerald knight and ruby berzerker.

My attributes:

Power 1,950
Precision 1,412
Tougness 1,561
Vitality 1,505

Attack 3,050
Critical Chance 28%
Armor 2,772
Vitality 16,695

I gonna use my guardian for dungeons and WvW, I’m curious if this is good enough? Have i add too much on some of the attributes or add too little for the rest? For example, guardian is a class with low base health, is 16,695 good enough? And i read it somewhere that most guardian has 2,900 armor and above, should i reduce on my attack and add more armor? Is my precision of 1,412 too low? Hope to get some useful opinions, thanks!

Why does sunrise looks orange most of the time, especially the effects while attacking. At times, i think sunrise looks beautiful for its sky blue and silvery white effect which doesn’t appear most of the time (maybe during stationary or running/walking). Am i the only one who hate the orange effects and love the latter effects?

So in the end, which gets more loots?

May i know which class mentioned above is better at tagging in wvw? There is this large aoe raining arrow from the sky skill which crippled everyone comparing with the meteor shower. Use more in the context on zerg rush instead of tower defense.

Is it worth getting bifrost on an ele? I mean like they use d/d most of the time, and lesser on the staff. Does someone here use staff most of the time compared to d/d? Is bifrost better suited for another caster class?

I’m planning to get the legendary shortbow “The Dreamer”, i’m 75% done in the process. But the thing is i don’t have a thief or ranger and i don’t wish to play both to lvl 80. I wish to get some opinions regarding shortbow for both classes. Because its a pain in the _ _ _ to get the bow, i want to use it on my character most of the time like a main weapon. Does ranger or thief use shortbow most of the time? Are longbow, axe (ranger) or dagger (thief) used more often?
And comparing thief and ranger’s shortbow skills, which is stronger and more useful? Hope someone can enlighten me on this, feel free to say more than what i have asked if you want. Thanks.

Some dyes are coded as having metallic or leather texture. If the armor is also coded as metallic, you’ll get reflection like that.

What’s cool is some light armor has parts that are also metallic and will shiny if you dye it appropriately.

I have another image of Sorrow’s Embrace armor which looks so horrible compared to the shiny one. Only the first photo stands out.

I know that wielding the legendary hammer Juggernaut gives your character a metal skin, but it doesn’t seem like he’s wielding a 2 handed weapon at all….maybe another legendary, no idea :/

Hi guys, I planning to get a legendary weapon, either twilight or juggernaut for my asura warrior. I would like to hear some opinion before I forge it. Is it too small? Is the effect not as visible? For twilight, I’m more interested in the visibility, effect and the size of the sword. For juggernaut, it’s more concern on the visibility of the liquid metal effect on the armor, do give comments on the size of juggernaut as it still concerns me but on a smaller extent. Welcome all opinions from every asuras, opinions from asuras who actually own these two weapons are even better! Thanks!

Lets not talk about the looks, but greatsword is much more useful in most situation.

Actually i’m trying to make a legendary, just that i don’t know which to pick, the greatsword or the hammer. Don’t wanna regret my decision though. I guess i would just go with one legendary and one exotic.

Twilight also has some cool effect while swinging the sword, does the liquid metal splashes and torrents on juggy looks better?

Can a hammer out-damage a greatsword? Lets say both weapons are of the same stats?

Need a show of hands which looks better? Twilight has the effect on the sword, but Juggernaut has the liquid silver effect on the armor.

One last question, since I have so many tactics trait boosting my banners. Should I change my elite skill from signet of rage to battle standard?

I noticed that alot of people are saying that superior rune of pack are bugged, regarding the 3rd set giving 50 healing power instead of power. It is also stated in this gw2wiki page, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Pack

I have totally forgotten about ruby orb, is 6 ruby orb better than 6 rune of pack?

If disregarding the price, which is the better rune, comparing the power and crit.

Another question, what runes should i use on my knight armor set? Should i concentrate on bringing my attack up now or my defence?

Actually from what i see, i can only give up rendering strikes instead of deep cuts because both rendering strikes opportunist are master trait and deep cuts is adept trait. So its like deep cuts, opportunist and forceful greatsword. And according to Freezenox, deep cuts isn’t that good, so should i switch it for something else in the adept section? For accessories, i’m using berserk spineguard with ruby jewel and 2 ruby oricha earing of berserkers. The other three of my accessories aren’t worth mentioning as i got them for the story.
