Engineer FT3 Air Blast can also reflect the attack. A bit more skill based but iit’ easy once you get the hang of it. The visual is still there but doesn’t damage the party.

Anyways for the Fractal Devs, can we get like a sound cue for the green on Ark? Like VG’s green?

I think the new fractal has too much visual noise at times? E.g. the first boss on CM, the starting sun thing is too bright.

They did say they wanted fractal to be a stepping stone to raids. Seems like that to me. Besides normal mode isn’t hard at all.

I’ve been experiencing latency issues lately. I never had it outside of GW2. My usual ping is usually 90-100, it’s still the same today but I am experiencing skill lag and choppy animations from mobs ei; either mobs do nothing for 2 second then go hyperspeed and just unload every attack in less than a second or projectile hit me before AOE circle appears.

It is incredibly frustrating specially on Raids and the new Nightmare challenge mote where dodging is important. I have been watching my ping for other games but it seems like only gw2 has this problem.

If you still don’t get it. The content isn’t hard but people need to adapt. Even in raids, if you adapt easily you can beat it.

Honestly if you want to pug I suggest using a meta tank. But if you’re with own squad anything is fine as long as it works.

But definitely you need to learn the timing of the dodges most of all and the timing when to move bosses while worrying how to stay alive since if you go down, the boss stop following you. Also not all bosses require a tank. The 2nd wing does not require a tank at all

I’m quite torn about this, I want other people to experience this content but adding difficulty settings won’t make it the ‘same’ experience as the original

I tested this in game, my necro is a reaper with level 72 gear that solos dragon stand ( killing stuff along the way ) …what made the difference ? the 1 ascended yassith’s spire.

so theorize all you want, I know for a FACT it makes a HUGE difference. Provided you know what you are doing of course.

hit hard, dodge fast …it’s a pvp thing. test it in game with the right build, put away the calculator and theoretical math formulas, it’s not translating in game as much as you think. My math is more accurate to what i “EXPERIENCED” in game.

once I get my reaper into all ascended gear, it will be a force of nature, that’s if my revenant doesn’t zerk anyone before hand.

spike your ascended stat of choice, then get back to me, none of these fluffy pve builds will show how powerful ascended gear is, but a spike build will make it clear, painfully clear.

We did an 8 man VG in exotics. Enough said.

It’s not that hard, bring defensive stuff if you’re having trouble. I did the achievements alone too

I was in a Sab PuG the other day organized by this druid. He had eternal. Well we get the full group and we start asking him how he wants stuff organized and he wont really tell us. So we start figuring it out on our own. He then starts telling us that we only need one person for canons. To my knowledge, you need at least 2. Unless there is some strategy I am not aware of. He insisted that it could be done with only one person.

We finally get the group fully set and ready to pull. He then said he was hung over and probably didn’t have it in him. We asked if he would just give it a couple tries since it had taken us about 30 minutes to get a mostly random PuG together. We do, he had NO idea what he is doing. Flak is everywhere on the group. We are asking him on TS to go out. He doesn’t. Next run, same thing. This guy didn’t have a clue what he was doing. He left the group after that run. It took a little bit but we ended up beating Sabetha after a couple personnel changes and about an hour. Not bad for a random PuG where 3 or 4 had never killed or only killed once.

Similar story on Gorseval. Had a tempest who has 30k AP and eternal. I was the other tempest and was urgently requesting help clearing orbs. When the ghosts spawned, my side was fully clear while the otherside was covered in blue goo. Happened about 4 times in a row so I looked at what else he’s doing and I saw him overload in weakness aura and getting killed by it. Got the kill as soon as he was replaced. This happened 1.5 weeks ago.

Hah I remembered a story like this, then I got pulled as a tempest and we did Gors in 1 go. Failed miserably in Sab though, got some first timers

I find it astonishing that people find the first trial of city of hope hard. They need to git gud and dodge. The 3rd one is pretty dumb without exploiting it though, but it just requires patience

I met only one. An engineer with 10k AP with eternal title. I called him out and started to be defensive. I showed him my raiding guild and apparently he’s one of our buyers lol

I say practice your own rotations. I made up my own and hitting a consistent 23-25k dps. Focus more on Sharpnel Nades and Fire Bombs. I also take kinetic battery for double incendiary ammo. If your skills are on CD, switch to pistol and take advantage of that 50% ‘pistol’ condi duration, which effectively raises your condi duration to 150%

I never use grenade auto attack since 15%(x3) is way too low of a change to bleed than say pistol auto attack + bleed on crit trait.

Who said you need full ascended for raids? Heck you don’t even need ascended for it. Bad players on the other hand think they do.

This is the content I signed up for. Seeing the cries and anguish of stubborn players. It fills me with strength.

I run a Guardian Tank and a Chronotank. I run whatever is needed. Yet I have the Eternal Title. Oh no I can’t raid :^)

I find that Guardian tank for VG is better for less experienced groups. I found a build that hits as much as a zerker guardian while keeping up 25might stacks with the help of 1 herald. Also giving really nice passive healing to take off burden off the healer.

For Gorseval on the other hand, I haven’t really test it much since he’s a real DPS wall. On Sabetha, protection is always nice during the last, very hectic phase. They are very useful for Eternal runs too.

idk about you but I consistently get 9k burns with 8k bleeds and 3k poison.

I’m not sure why you’re getting that fps. When ever I’m on LA I never go below 45 fps. I have FX-8150 oc to 4.2ghz, 16gb ram, and HD 7970. I have my settings all at max (except reflections), I even have supersampling on.

On WvWvW, the lowest I’ve got is at 35 fps and I guess I’m ok with that lol.
