Title says it all. 15 min timer compared to a 30. We all agree its a challenge and I for one am completely happy to see such a challenge. Sad thing is we all can’t have 100 coordinated members doing this. I am sure some servers will do it, but for the rest of us guesting will become our best friend. Unless we can have the timer bumped up for the majority of the other servers that could use that 15 extra minutes.

Quick question for those who participated, did you feel that some of us were extra squishy or that we were not doing enough damage or conditions? Versus some of the more experienced guilds you faced, were we pretty predictable or surprising? Also how do you handle your heal timing? Thanks in advance.

Not trying to be mean, but you guys were really squishy. Do you have your necros dropping spectral wall on your way in? I felt like I was getting bigger numbers than normal, and people were dropping very quickly.
Heal timing? Er. we have a rotation of water fields, and when nightlight calls for water, we drop one on top of him. :P

Your not being mean at all what so ever. We think we may have had one to many zerkers, and our heal timing wasn’t very good. That in combination with all your cc’s, it really prevented us from getting those crucial heals. So we’ve got alot of work to do, starting with better builds lol!

Thank you EP and CERN for the GvG’s!! We had a ton of fun, and truly couldn’t get enough of it. It was a great learning experience for us. Mad respect from FaTe to both of your guilds, you guys were awesome! Hope to do this again next time we face you guys!!

The good part about this match-up, is fighting a T1 server again, and of course TC (for the 2nd week lol). For those of us that stayed after the fall of SoS, it really helps us remember those strats we used to use. Getting used to T4 has made alot of our militia too used to pvdoor. I for one welcome this challenge, as it will only help us grow as a server. Just a friendly reminder to all of my fellow SoS players, unequip your pants when the SoR train hits, it doesn’t hurt as bad :P

Yup no siege, everyone crashing, and a splash of skill lag. I thought the lag was going to get fixed? Oh well, we like a challenge lol.

The real question is reather ANet sees WvW as “PvP” gameplay which in everyone’s eyes i’m sure they do. So in that case why doesn’t the following apply to someone who siege caps us?

“While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.” (From TOS)

Just food for thought, no where does the said statement indicate sPvP, simply put as “PvP gameplay”

I love this post, because its true. We have been through a lot on this server. Speaking from when my guild first picked SoS and started in the first beta weekend, we are still here SoS for life!!

Wow this thread has gone to hell. Sad reading so many people complaining, from every server. Remember guys just because a few people say crap, doesn’t voice the entire server.

Loved the fights last night in EB. Had a ton of fun fighting SoR and JQ. I do gotta say I am very impressed with [Choo]. Our 7 member squad came up with a new saying when we ran into you guys, and its “We got Chooed”.

I think this idea needs to get to the devs. This is awesome. As a commander we are very limited to what we can do. Sure we can see who is in our squad and how much supply they have. However, when we are in the middle of attacking a tower across the map, and a bunch of people just get in. Where do they go? What do they do? Run to the zerg? Sure they could, but what if our camps are being attacked or a tower? This would be perfect to say ok guys by lowlands go X, or Y., or set up counter treb here. Then on the map it would show us what is going on. I am a very firm believer that commanders need ALOT more tools to really be more effective. Its so hard to sometimes be running around while hitting M every other second lol.

Well no reason to bring up HoD than. I’m glad your saying these things are discussed. Because they should be. Don’t get me wrong ill fight you guys till the bitter end. I give you guys props than, who wouldn’t want to experience winning? It just seems there is a ton of arrogance going around right now. It’s sad for T1 players.

You know I just gotta say that these last few weeks have been amazing. I haven’t had this much fun in wvw, ever. First week BG brought it, I have nothing but respect for your level of skill. You guys truly never gave up no matter what. This week with JQs transfers have been insane to say the least. I really don’t like hearing about all the trolls and people fighting back an forth on this. Why wouldn’t guilds want to challenge the number one server? I love a challenge and it seems they do to.

This coming week will bring some amazing battles and most likely less sleep for me. Thanks lol. But speaking on behalf of my guild and myself, both servers bring it and continue to bring it. Even though my guild just started letting people in (so were not huge) we still love the challenge from both servers. Looking forward to the coming weeks, great matchup so far guys. Keeping this game extremely fun to play (culling aside). Cya at reset.

This is an excellent question, I don’t think it truly matters to be honest. I have seen every class of commander and when the zerg rolls in, they all die the same. I am a pure glass cannon commander myself with nothing but power, prec, crit damage. I have out lived many on the battlefield without running away. Its just about knowing your class, when to CC, when to evade/dodge ect.. Just my 2 cents though.

Also I am not a DD ele btw lol. I enjoy my Bifrost way to much :P

Nope, just sick and tired of hearing about it. So I hope this thread doesn’t go there. I personally have really really enjoyed this fight. Best fights have been had on almost all BL and EB. I hope this type of fighting continues, because I haven’t had this much fun in awhile in a tier 1 match. Just wish people would respect others a bit more, and stop all the QQ.

Are you kidding me?? You act like your server was the only one lagging lol. We held SM for about 2 hours being hit from both sides with the same lag you guys had.

I agree, I was also with him and he did not say anything wrong. I also believe he needs to be reinstated ASAP. Why have a filter if people can’t use it right???

I couldn’t agree with floralence’s post more. This is my situation currently. Here is some background and lots of disappointment. I work 50-55 hours a week and have 2 kids (2 1/2 and 11 month old) so I only play at night and mostly weekends. I have 560 hours in game. I have dungeon gear, 6 crafting professions at 400, and almost got my 100% map completion. I stopped because I have to farm Orr every night for hours on end only to log off disappointed. I have never thought I would be able to save up for the Legend due to prices keep spiking. So I have done the following instead.

Tossed in about 1000 rare staffs with nothing back
Tossed in close to 50 exotic staffs with nothing back.
Spent over 100g buying mats to craft more rare and exotic staffs to dump in.
Total investment not including hours of farming mats (200g)

So my problem is I have very bad luck. I have almost everything else needed for the staff besides the precursor. So I am at the point now, do I cut my losses and instead farming gold just to dump on the forge and stock it up till I can buy it on TP. My fear is by the time I have enough the prices will have jumped another 400g. Currently the staff is listed at 510g. Something needs to be done about this, not only is it redicilious, but it will force people to just quit then grind everyday for 4-6 hours for close to a few months straight.

They say the forge is a huge part of making sure items leave the game. I don’t think this was thought out very well. More people are crafting items for the sole purpose of dumping in the forge, then they are actual in game drops. So the concept of thousands of people farming mats and making rares and exotics just to dump into the forge is only hurting the economy. When nothing is done about the access of other T1 and higher mats. It just becomes an endless cycle of players repeating the same process.

I agree these precursors should be hard to obtain, but RnG is not the way to do it. I’ve spent money on the gem store, I enjoy this game and every event. I play to have fun. Now my goal is to have a legendary is a sense of accomplisent I’m sure everyone wants to achieve. Not by endless hours of the same grind for gold that will probably never be enough based on how fast prices are spiking for precursors. Making it so someone with 100 hours benefit by a pure chance of luck and hardly anytime invested or even supporting anet in ways players with much more hours have, is just insane. I won’t rage quit or stop enjoying this game. But the fact nothing is being done about the rising prices when we’re told you guys are watching the situation. Is just sad. Either give us an idea of things to come or just keep ignoring the community and watch people keep dropping. We’re simply trying to give you guys advice on how to make this game more fun and enjoyable. Please listen to the majority here. We are not happy.

ANet you guys seriously need to do something about this. If you think a “Were sorry you lost gold, items, levels, karma, rares, TP items, progression, crafting levels, character levels, and possibly real money” is going to cut it, then you guys need to really grasp what customer service means. This outage was due to ANet and NOT the players. Some type of compensation is needed to restore the faith we are all losing. A simple 4000 gems or something small is not going to kill you guys, but something is better then nothing.

Lost roughly an hour of crafting over 60 levels, 5k karma spent on recipes, 2g on TP spent buying crafting mats, the rare mats themselves, normal crafting mats, and my time!!!

Can a Dev or someone respond to us, on what you guys are going to do to fix this??

This is a major issue and something needs to be done. I lost all my rare mats, over 2g, and was just about to hit 400 crafting in my 3rd profession.

So I lost all my money spent on the TP crafting, and they did a roll back and I lost all my progression. When will this be restored??
