And pray tell what is REAL pvp ? The tripe they call sPvP that is nothing more than all other games spewed out …. cookie cutters that run around trying to prove that they should get into e games. There is a reason why WoW is no longer there ……….

Now you doing pretty kitten fine if u find a group of 5 in a zone and if u find 10 pray they not about to log. Events are pretty dead. Not may doing instances. sPvP has around 1/10th of its servers in use now. WvWvW is now almost completly dead, outmanned buff is rife on all servers almost all the time in 3 of the 4 maps. From a WvWvW point thieves are out of control for 2 reasons 1st is culling issues and 2nd is their damage that by using needles can out damage a 2hd weapon… there is a problem and it should have been dealt with months ago. Yea it does kitten people off and thereby just adds to the reason people leave the game.

2V6 was pretty easy for the 2 thieves. Add in a dash of lag and the thief was prob invis most the time to the players. given the limited area of movement in the JP it made the job too easy for the thieves. Their burst is completely out of hand and a dagger can hit harder by around 8x than a 2hd sword so yea 2 thieves jump a target he is dead reguardless of what you try.

The class is completely broken no counter stealth the ability to stealth once already in combat and standing ontop of their target is kitten pathetic. Their burst damage is insane. The class needs a complete over haul for WvWvW. and yea it is prob the main class in the game driving people away from the game.

2. The name guild wars tends to lead to the thought of getting some guild mates together and head out to acheive something. The map does not realy allow this as the Zerg can cover the map in less than a min. So no it not guild wars it Zerg wars

3. The issue has never been addressed by simply removing the item did nothing to fix the problem. what about all the door hacks/wall hacks taking place ? still not fixed but when fract’s was found to have the issue it was fixed in zero time – clear that W3 means nothing to the game. Culling still a big problem.

4. No they are not fixing the classes – Necro still pretty dead class in the game. Thief can do more damage in a single hit using the dagger than 99% of 2hd damage can do at the end of a combo. No real cooldowns on their hits against every other class sitting with 5-30 second cooldowns. Any fixes made were purly to the benifit of sPvP.

5. Treadmills may not be the way to go… but no benifit for claiming and upgrading castles/keeps ? yea i can drop some abilities that guild learns over a huge time period rendering them relitivly ineffective. Why can we not get a warning of the tower being attacked with a general number in the area ?

7. JP are not any part of W3 in fact they barley make to PvE status they do nothing for W3 except put a drain on troops trying to enter the war. Although this is becoming less of an issue daily as less people are headed out to partake in W3 if JP gets removed then that would prob end W3 completely in a month.

8. Fix them already borderlands offer nothing now and are practically deserted since the removal

9. Still nothing gained so nobody will rely do it.

10. Camps still way too easy to take. I can basically solo a camp fully upgraded. A 5 man team can take a camp in less than 30 sec. Stupid practice and upgradeing the camp should make it worthwhile not just a cash sink for nothing.

Removing an item is not fixing it. hacks/cracks abuse still play a big part in the game and have not been addressed in months.

I did state in current maps. some paths take almost 5 min to complete while others take 40-50 sec. also the ease that people can get “behind the lines” to take supply camps/jump yaks is way to easy. there should be zones that are inaccesable intil you take out certain keeps/towers

Yip WvWvW is dead and will just get worse until Feb’s meant to be fix it all patch. So if you have another 2 months of destroying yourself left in you then carry on mate

Some people will return after the patch in FEB but unless it addresses all the issues for W3 then the game will be shelved by 90% of the W3 players and they will just completely ignore the game.

I said it at around 6 weeks that people will hang around for roughly 3 months for developers to fix main problems in a game if they dont then people will leave en mass. Exactally what has happened to GW2.

problems :
1. 3 same maps for boarder lands – plain lazy
2. Maps are at least 10x too small and lead to zergs rather than guild wars
3. Way too many bugs/hacks not addressed
4. refusal to balance classes
5. no incentive for W3
6. Guilds mean nothing in W3
7. Jumping puzzles in W3 (for what it has nothing to do with it just if you can press a space bar)
8. No orbs/relics anymore
9. No incentive for escorting Yaks – a critical part of the game
10. Supply camps way too easy to take and some supply routes distances are madness on the current maps.
11. EB completely dominated by the team holding SM castle (maps way too small )

There have been many more issues placed on the forums but I just feel that those seem to be the more recuring ones. If Anet had even mad an attempt to address any of those issues the game would not be falling as fast as it is but their opinion was sPvP was more important…… we will see after Feb if you still even have a game.

JQ and SBI dont run together. In fact the only way JQ remains in T1 is by doubling up against SBI.

Yea SBI have lost a lot of WvW’s atm due to lack of anything to do with W3 from Anet. Our Europe time slot has left us almost completely outmanned so any guilds want to help fill that slot would be great

1. Bandwagoneers a problem to almost every top server can deal with that

2. Any time we have seen one of our own hacking/exploiting or cheating we have reported them ourselves most of the SBI community dont tolerate it at all

3. Que times could from may things is very weird to get a 30 min que time to EB and then have the outmanned buff when you do get in

4. Smearing tactics have very few and far between since the removal of orbs

5. It not about 1 guild. I can think of at least 8 commanders that have not returned to play since the last big PvE patch was released. WM were active in our home borderlands and to smaller extent in the other 2 borderlands and practically non existant in EB so it has nothing to do with 1 guild, it has more to do with the complete lack of Anet to address WvWvW issues. There is talk about Feb there will be a big update to WvWvW…….sadly 6 months after launch is way to long 80% of what the people have been requesting should have been implimented at launch or within the 1st 30 days.

It is pretty clear to see people are leaving the game, W3 is looking very empty with outmanned buffs being seen far too much now. ORR is basically empty. leveling zones you hit the jackpot if you even see someone else . Been said before you have roughly 3 months to address or at least start to address main issues before people will pack in the game and move on to the next,or back to an old game while waiting for the next one. New content within days of launching the game was stupid they should have rather fixed game issues and bugs than waste all that resource on new content. Most WvW’s have not asked for much except to fix what was not working right, prime example is wall/door bugging to gain entrance in WvW still a problem. When it was seen in Fractual’s the fix was almost instant……

JP has nothing to do with WvW it is if you can press a space bar or not. It is not fighting or contributing to the war in general. Yea get a few seige pieces wow i can purchase that seige no problem and do so.

it is dead manpower taking up fighters space. Put it sPvP but get it out of WvW.

Never going to happen mate. Maps are way too small for it to happen and it just too plain easy to run with the zerg as you can get all over in pretty much enough time to make smaller squads pretty obsolete.

It is a pretty decent stratergy actually. Just because they dont want to fight you does not make it unfair. Adapt your strats. Try to trap them. Do something useful instead of trying to complain here.

Reducing the Effectiveness of Zerging

About the only way to reduce zerging is to dramatacaly increase the size of the maps. At the moment the maps basically only allow for zergs and small groups are extreamly limited in what the can do or where they can go

My best moment so far in the game

About 3-4 weeks ago henge 10 golem rush us at Blue tower. Their zerg back then was pretty much a bunch of idiots following a commander. They approch the tower pop portal for golems to get to door fast. they kill the cannon, but leave the oil and 6 arrow carts alone. I jump on oil and 7% into door damage all golems are dead and the 5 of us that defended had to stop playing for a few min. because we were laughing so much at their stupidity

All this moaning from BG is actually pretty funny. Anyone else notice it started shortly after the orbs were removed ?

So basically BG is pretty useless without having 3 orb buffs ? Is that why they were were “borrowed using unconventional methods” so often ?

On a brighter side. There have been some pretty kitten fine fights had out there some huge seiges. (liked our 10 golem push just to take out your 7 trebbs hitting Woodhaven) Thought it was kitten funny when you ran to lords room to defend and only a handful kept you all busy there while rest ran to top to break the trebs For the record we did not want the castle just to rid u all of those pesky trebs

1st off jumping puzzle needs to be removed from WvW altogether it wastes the place of people who want to go fight/defend instead of jumping around doing nothing. I have no idea why it was ever placed in WvW in the 1st place.

Earlier BG could have complained of the same when we were hitting them and then a group of 20 or so IOJ came and hit our supply and there was a message sent “do you realy want to do that” you left after that and went and played with BG supply whilst we played on one or 2 of their towers. Double teaming will always be there as you have to attack someone and inveriably 2 teams will at some stage hit the same team there by causing it to be a double team v 1.

If you not holding anything it is more than likely you were not fielding players and therefore your “territory” was up for grabs so it was taken by the other 2 teams instead of prolonged fighting it was just a case take and move to next whoever won that fight took the prize and others moved to another target

Orbs will be removed from WvW in an upcoming build.

He prob saw you disapear knowing you not the thief class so reported u. If it was just server side or lag issues then there nothing to worry about if they do investigate the issue if not well then deal with the punishment.

Well said Jang Gun. Everyone is getting sick of it and there is not much being done about the hacking. WM surly does not need to hack especially with commanders like you around (always a pleasure to run with any WM member) always good clean fights.

I chalange anyone to post a screen shot or any evidence ever attained against any WM member hacking (i am sure if you do they will be booted asap if you do have any)

Sad to see others have to hack to get ahead mate rely sad to see. Maby after x-mas they will possibly think about doing something about it as I am sure they are way to busy putting together some or other “function” for x-mas to worry about the hacks and breaks in the game.

Actually 2-3 weeks ago one of our players hacked the orb from Henge if i remember correctly. Around 10 people i know of reported the player instantly …… needless to say he has not been seen since. SBI tries to play with intergity and fair play. If that means reporting our own then so be it.

BG on the other hand cannot do anything without using these hacks. Pity as like i said there have been some pretty good fights.

Over the weekend we had tons of people in W V W because lots hardly slept and played through till we had enough people on to continue the push. Over that time points were very close with 100-300 points between 1st and last place. Come Monday it was clear that JQ would win the week due to their huge off peak player base – if you are too stupid to see that well there are no pills for stupidity. There were great fights had for all.

But come Tuesday it was clear when logging in and seeing 90% of W v W green what the issue is. Now as to people going on about whose time is more important than others this is a US server thereby making it clear what time zones are on and off peak times. I don’t rely mind too much 90% of SBI does not want 1st place (we don’t want all the rubbish free loaders coming here and screwing over our server) we have a great server, we have proven that during our prime times we are the best by far even against HENGE in their prime we would drive them back and win. JQ exactally the same. SBI has the better players, commanders and attitude. Others just need the free loaders to win

Up until today the T1 match has been brilliant to say the least. I am sure every server has had a good time with some epic and hard fought battles all over.

It is clear though that the “night capping” is still the biggest winner for any server be rely great if they do work something out there ands make points gained accomidate the numbers in the field.

But yea this week has been one of the finest weeks in W v W.

I did. 1 class killing a doly=stupid. no dolly should ever be taken out by 1 person. Theives(rouges) are out of control (everyone already knows this that is why every 2nd toon is one)

I dont have a problem to escort but they die way too easy for the ease it takes to get to them. If supply lines were more “safe” i dont mind escorting an unsafe line. But fact is without any trouble at all one can get to every supply camp/line and take it. If you dont have the needed tower you should not be able to push back into rear supply lines

Doly should never be able to be soloed. NOT EVER.
The killing of supplies is way too easy in the game. Solo Doly should need at least 3 people to have a chance and escorted should need 10+ do do any damage.

To take out a supply chain with 1 person is in itself completely stupid. My Guardian can take out a supply camp solo … I rely doubt that that was intended.

I hope they dont come to SBI. To be honest they can ……. off. We don’t want them or need them. Yea it sux to get beaten, but we have proven that during our servers prime we are unstappable. Driven JQ back everyday this week but once it turns to work/sleep time ur day crews head out and take over. Sooner or later Anet will stop the free screw others over and then SBI will land up being the dominant server.

We have the best commanders and a good amount of very dedicated WvW players we dont want the rubbish come over here and destroy this server. Basically go to hell and stay where you are

"Snowballing" issue in WvW

Some of the main issues I have encountered for WvW

1. Outmanned buff is worthless – nothing more than an insult added on top of the fact you wont be able to acheive much in the map. I said it before I rely hope the person who thought that one up was instantly fired and taken out and shot for his/their utter stupidity.

2. The server transfer issue widely complained about and a blatent open refusal to address or even acknowledge the problem. Yes it is killing both servers and populations and is forcing people out of the game.

3. WvW maps are WAY too small each map for each realm/server should the size of the current 4 maps together. This reduces the effectiveness of zergs and even if you are out manned you can still actually do something. Currently you are screwed.

4. Way too easy to get behind the lines and interupt supply. The side castles should have to be taken before you can move up the map. Garrison should be moved and placed at the current ORB start locations and orb should start in the garrison.

5. Single players able to take out escorted supply – should never have been allowed- escorted supply should need a base of 10 people to even stand a chance to take it out. Less than that the guards should just 1 shot you. Un escorted supply should need at least 3 people before you can even damage the Dolly.

6. Claiming castles offer no real benefit -yea u can drop a few flags but that is all. Why does it not feed intel to the guild that claimed it ? there are about 10 people attacking “x” tower ? Why can the guild that claimed the tower/castle not block the plunder of supply inside ? should be able to set it to -A) everyone can plunder or complete upgrade before it can be plundered.

7. Anets seems to think that sPvP is where the game is at …… wrong, very wrong. I would estimate maby 10-15% of the population partakes in this. When waiting for their mates to log in what are they doing ? Most use to head out to WvW now what I have noticed is they sit in Lions Arch or goto the 70-80 zones and do an event or 2, then log if their mates don’t get on. Most of these people will proberbly head on back to their old games shortly as the WvW is lacking so bad due to the imbalance it is not worth trying.

8. The 3 month grace most players offer a game to address the most complained about issues is basically up. I can assure Anet that very shortly a lot of people will start to leave the game. I can almost with 100% confidence say that any poll taken on their exit would be “the free server x-fer ruined the game for me”

It is a bit of a pity actually as this game does have huge potential to rely dominate the MORG market. Anet missed the mark some by no feedback to the most complained about aspect of the game and just expected that it would solve its self. Come on most the older gerneration will not server hop but the game has thousands of youngsters that thing the only way to get ahead is to bomb a server and then destroy the other 2. Yea it is getting old now and I guarentee will lead to the death of GW2.

Night Capping and YOU

I have no issue with NIGHT CAPPING at all. The issue is with the unbalance in numbers during “off peak” times.

Why is there no even balancing of the number of players ? Rely simple to do :

server 1 has 15 people in a battle ground.
server 2 will only be able to field a max of 22 people in that same battle ground ie no more than 50% more than the next largest server is fielding.

This will lead to a rapid balancing of servers as people would land up in long Que times and they don’t want that. So people would move to other servers to actually get to be in WvW. It would also stop this rubbish of 50v1 fights that are currently in place

The buff that is given to servers with lower numbers may as well be removed…..whoever thought of that buff should be taken outside and shot for their complete stupidity.

Think bigger: Free Transfers are not the problem...

Free transfers are a problem in the game. This is caused by peoples greed to always want to get everything handed to them on a silver platter. People are too lazy to actually work to get ahead… in this game it is all about numbers who will win to basically choose a top tier over populate it and dominate the other 2 as there is nothing in place to stop this.

A simple few solutions to this is

1: If you transfer you cannot transfer to a server that you have been fighting against for 2 weeks (forcing those that want to play the dominate game to move into lower tiers before being able to jump back up to “number 1”)

2: If you server transfer into an already high population server then there should be a waiting period of at least 1 week before such a transfer takes place. If you transfer to one of the lower population servers this should be as it is currently.. instant.

Most people don’t realise the impact it is having on the game. JQ server is loosing guilds that have been there since the start of the server as a result of over population and rely long extended QUE times. Is this in anyway fair to those people ? Of course not.

As to how many people are now leaving the game until this gets fixed will always be hard to say as there is the possibility they also just joined the gravy train until it is addressed. JQ server gets destroyed by SBI during Prime time play but once that time passes JQ fields at least a zerg of 30-50 per map and pretty much takes out everything with no way to do anything about it. 3 weeks ago this was not the case and there was a pretty decent fight had by all (yes henge over non prime time then was doing the same but henge is a waste now with TiTan falling and most moved to JQ)

Server transfer is the root problem to this game in its current form. No Anet will not address it as they feel SPvP is where the core of the game lies. Unfortunatly this is not entirely correct. For SPvP to function there is a need of players to partake. With players just transfering around destroying others it is causing a lot of “distress” to people and this will cause people to start leaving the game till it is addressed thereby causing the collapse of SPvP as well (yes Anets baby will land up falling apart and then it will be too late to recover)
