Just posting some issues I’ve noticed while playing the Tangled Depths meta event (the one that has yet to be beat due to the well… plethora of issues.)
First, not even sure how to describe this, but perhaps the following gif will aid in tracking down this issue… but uh, he committed suicide. (RIP Wilbur the Chak Gerent)
http://www.gfycat.com/GrandioseKindDogwoodtwigborer
Second, the Gerent in the SCAR lane has, what we presume to be, a broken break bar, as all other lanes have 10-15 seconds to break the bar, the Gerent in the SCAR lane has 2-3 seconds of break bar availability.
And, as always, will edit as I find more.
Judging by multiple factors in this video, you’re not too aware of how fractals work at all.
In the ~1000 or so fractals I’ve ran this year, this has never happened, so.
Stronghold is suppose to be the new GvG mode , Arena’s is for brawls in your own guild. I might be wrong though but that is what I can gather
just dont, ok:)? Because you guys that truly believe that have no idea what is the purpose of gvg.
I did not say it was my idea , I meant that is what Anet intended
Stronghold is most definitely not for Guild Vs. Guild.
I do believe they said larger arenas come as an upgrade for guilds.
Hello, here are my specs:
OS: Windows 10 – 64 Bit
CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.8 GHZ
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
GPU: Nvidia 680 – 2G GDDR 5
GPU Driver: 355.98
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury (2×8g) at 2400 MHZ
PSU: Sentey Power Supply 750w 80 Plus Bronze Modular
As some notes, I understand my video card is on the old side, however numerous benchmarks and from Nvidia’s own perspective, I should be able to run this game on very decent settings with my current setup, until I upgrade my GPU.
Here is the list of things I have tried:
- Roll back drivers to a stable version
- Update drivers to the most current version
- Defragment Guild Wars 2
- Reinstall Guild Wars 2 Entirely
- Run Guild Wars 2 in Compatibility mode.
- Run Guild Wars 2 on the lowest possible settings
- Monitor power consumption on CPU and GPU – not an issue.
- Monitor temps on CPU and GPU, highest they get is 50 degrees Celsius.
- Ran Furmark/Prime95/Memtest on every component, nothing appears to be failing.
- Run Guild Wars 2 in space while eating a healthy amount of hash-browns to provide potato power to the Guild Wars 2 engine.
The issue at hand is the fact that upon launch of the game, the game will run at 120-160 FPS, easily. After 5 minutes, the performance will degrade to roughly 60-90 FPS. At this point, any major effect rendering, or anything of the sort, will cause the client to drop to 20 FPS, hard-lock, and then crash. I’ve noticed it occurring while fighting. If I dodge, while having Zealots flame come up, the game has dropped to 20 FPS and will not recover(could just be a coincidence, but it happened twice). I’ve tried a multitude of game settings, everything on low, Effect LOD on/off. I’m giving up, essentially.
If any brave soul has any idea what may be the root of the issue, I will give you not one… but two cookies for solving this.
The worst part is how Gaile told us the marketing team were listening to our requests, yet that seems so far from the truth at this point, I don’t know how to feel.
Feels like they’ve been battin’ on zero lately… Bad sales, Bad event, and well… I can only hope the expansion keeps trudging along, because that was the only light in the darkness.
From the world bosses I’ve done since the health update (I haven’t done them all), only Tequatl was troublesome. I’d imagine triple wurm would be too.
Claw felt perfect in health, but needs more mechanics to the fight to be worthwhile.
Karka Queen is still too weak in every field.
Inquest Golem Mk II was…. it’s questionable. The health feels a bit high, and it does too few attacks with too high damage (those electric fields…).
So I do not think that all world bosses should be reduced in health. Some should, others could use a buff still. And a buff does not mean solely increased health, but improved mechanics too.
Triple Wurm wasn’t too bad – health sponges for sure, but still killed them relatively easy.
Not after the patch easy, but moreso in-line with before the patch.
It’s funny, they introduce two bosses that are supposed to be difficult, legitimately the purpose behind them was for groups to organize and take them out – and the whining hits all time levels.
Sorry folks, you can’t show up 5 minutes prior and take him down.
Sorry you can’t press 11111111 and see a boss die for easy loot.
Work for your kills – Triple Trouble is really hard, but we’re still getting 8 minute Tequatl Kills.
1. Sitting around and waiting before content is not a good thing.
2. Even when we’re not idling Nomad gear spamming 1 1 1 1, there will always be people around us that are. There really is no rightful way for us as players to get rid of them either.
3. Triple Trouble is very rarely given an honest attempt by openworlders, despite the fact that it’s an open world event. It’s a cool event, but not too many people are into spam clicking “join friend in,” joining some public TS server and listening vigilantly for a half an hour, and having to be online at one certain time on the calendar.
Tequatl, on the other hand, is participated in on multiple shards at multiple times of the day. Even still, it took several long months to shave away the average crowd to make room for the actual capable reward-seekers who could succeed the event on a regular basis. Prior to that, it was just content that many of us didn’t do.
Content we don’t do is almost as bad as content that does not exist.
All of which you are listing are problems with people not being dedicated to the content in which they want to participate in. Much like any sport, you have to dedicate time to win the game. It’s the exact same concept.
Sitting around rarely occurs in the guild that I am in, and participate in – we organize, and we use our time wisely in order to give ourselves the best possible chance to fell the boss.
As for players sitting around AFK’ing pressing 11111 – then do what others do, take your group and go to a map in which you can organize and plan – the megaserver system, while heavily criticized, spawns more than enough instances for you to claim your own.
In regards to Triple Trouble being an open world boss – this alone places fault on the design choices of ArenaNet. All content isn’t created equal, and this fight is the perfect example of that ideology. Simply because it is placed in the open-world environment, does not mean it was intended for everyone to simply walk in, and beat it – and if that was their intentions, they telegraphed that quite poorly considering how difficult and enjoyable that content (for people like me who like the challenge) was when it released.
Lastly, is double the HP a bit much? Yes. Definitely. Especially when the counter to doing so does not work as expected. Does it need to be fixed? Of course, and it will be.
However, to insist that you’re owed some sort of middle-tier content and that it’s so utterly ridiculous that Tequatl, which is easily regarded as “on farm” by any half-way organized group, to be given a buff to be consistently in-line with the massive amounts of power-creep that was just pumped in the game, seems asinine.
If I’ve misinterpreted your points, AKA that Tequatl should be a “mid-tier” boss; please clarify – because when Tequatl was released, he was easily the most difficult content in the game; and was specifically designed for players to group up and coordinate.
It’s funny, they introduce two bosses that are supposed to be difficult, legitimately the purpose behind them was for groups to organize and take them out – and the whining hits all time levels.

This was on a full map, lead by a guild. Not even 50% health reached in 15mins
Fixing the crit bug will help, but I have a feeling double HP might still be too much
Tired of garbage like this, Anet test your dmn patches before releasing them
- Fuzzed Timer
- Fishheads
- Bone wall
Hiding something; or the guild who organized it had no idea what they were doing.
Posted this in the other thread:

If that map was truly organized by a guild, and a bone-wall appeared, then you quite possibly deserved to fail. On top of that, you fuzzed out the time – for apparently some reason to perpetuate your agenda. I also notice fish-heads, which only occur from a tidal-wave, or the map has reached sub 1:30 times. So, I call shenanigans.
Other than that, saying what I said in the other threads – I like the experiments that ArenaNet are doing.
Makes the game feel a bit more fun.
The whining has hit all time highs.
I for one think trying these crazy ideas is a good thing – we’re presumably a few months away from Heart of Thorns, and the balance needs to be perfected by then. Let them do crazy things.
Missing out on a few Tequatl kills, and then throwing ArenaNet to the wolves because you’re not able to burn his crazy amounts of health just seems stupid.
Just pretty much giving up at this point.
Mass support for Bunny Ears, Aviator Sunglasses, and Wide Rimmed Glasses, yet no sign of them.
Hello all,
As much as I am sure you’re all tired of seeing yet another post asking about these items, I’ve taken the liberty of looking up the number of threads and compiling some “raw” and “simplistic data” as well as included the links to those individual topics at the end of this OP.
Quite honestly, I’m kind of to the point that we should never expect these items back in the store, as other threads in which ArenaNet has responded in some “official” capacity left us hoping that spring (Easter holiday) could possibly see the return of the bunny-ears in the store, yet as we’ve passed Easter, and while we are still in spring, we’ve had no further mention of this item returning to the store.
Other hot items such as the Sport Sunglasses, Wide-rimmed Glasses, Aviator Sunglasses, and more – have yet to make their re-appearance either. With such a large amount of people wanting these items re-added to the store, one has to question why they have not made their way back in, and if they ever will. The opportunity to make money is there, yet it seems like we’re being left in the dark as to why these items have not been re-added in anniversary sales, etc.
Could we possibly get an answer please? As of today there are approximately:
- 405 threads/mentions regarding the Bunny Ears being re-added.
- 172 threads/mentions regarding the Wide-rimmed glasses being re-added.
- 287 threads/mentions regarding the Aviator Sunglasses being re-added.
- These values are pulled from google regarding this forum only, nowhere else.
Please note, that these are results I pulled from google and the actual threads asking for them to be re-added could be far-less, but from what I’ve seen on both Reddit, and these forums, the demand is incredibly high. It makes no logical sense not to re-add these items, due to many of us failing to buy them at the time due to the way they functioned and operated in the town clothes system. Many of us would have purchased these items if they functioned the way they currently do. Economics 101; there’s a clear demand for these items, and the demand is high. Many of us are willing to pay. Rito, Volvo, ArenaNet… PLS!
The lists below are merely a sample of the many different threads that have been made asking for these items. Another thread, “[Suggestions] Gemstore Items” has called for these items to be re-added a plethora of times as well.
Apologies for the long-list of links, I couldn’t get the spoiler tag to work with them – either it created black high-lighted boxes, or just didn’t work at all. I cut down the amount of links used due to this.

It will be permanent.
I honestly don’t know if the items in question will be “permanent,” if you mean they’ll be in the store forever. I’ve seen items rotate through, and I know that not every item is available every day. What I do know, from the post on the website, is that the items are a sort of preview and they will be offered for a longer period of time and not just a single day sometime in the future.
Still waiting for those wide-rimmed glasses.
Pls gaile, work ur magic. Q.Q
Rather inexcusable to leave a guild down for three weeks, honestly.
“I am a member of [TTS]. We were just on a map flagged for closure (apparently), but we didn’t get notification (at least not all of us did). My hunch is that the map was flagged for closure, but as far as we were concerned it was a relatively empty map. Lo and behold, we all taxi in and were spawning the Jungle Wurm when the map closed on us.
So what gives? Does a map marked for closure never reconsider? This seems to be the behaviour right now. As it stands, we have to burn a guild spawn to get our members the Wurm kill today (which is not a big deal considering the global guilds update), but is this working as intended? Why does the logic not consider this use-case? Obviously large communities like [TTS] will look for maps that are marked for closure to maximize the amount of usable map slots we can have for these kinds of high-organization events.
Solutions to the problem:
Have maps flagged for closure should have a persistent indicator they are slated to be shut down in x minutes
Have maps flagged for closure periodically (every 15min or so) reconsider whether the map will close or not"
Posted this here for one of our members (Jacobbs) as he had posted it in the wrong area.
The irony of it all is that anyone can join TTS, download TS, and then get instant-successful Teq/Triple Trouble/Etc raids anytime they want.
tts is a very welcoming guild. They usually want a fresh instance because they cannot include enough people.
If anything, tts are reacting to a problem with megaservers
welcoming, HAH. i joined 3 different iterations of them at 3 different times, the second i represented my own guild, i got booted. if thats welcoming, i don’t want to see unwelcoming
They have rules you know. While you raid with them you are bound to representing the guild. When the raid finishes you can switch to your other guild. If you don’t follow the rules of course that you will be kicked. You don’t even have to represent the guild 90% of the time. They ask you to do it only in those 10% when is the raid going on and if you don’t do it you will be booted out.I don’t see anything wrong here.
i wasn’t repping them when i was alseep, woke up and checked the morning after, kicked. nice to know sleeping is against the rules XD
Please see Cyprien’s post – you’d know we only kick people at the END of the month (today) and if they are banned from our raids due to severe violations of the TTS etiquette.
You didn’t get kicked for sleeping, unless you slept for an entire month, because that’s how long we give everyone to regain active status.
The info about them having had some private TS sessions with a dev outside official hours, coupled with the rumor that they are asking him to kick people who are afk out of sparkfly fen did leave a bad impression on me and I just can’t shake it off (I know that it might’ve been an isolated case, but it left a permanent stigma on my mind, sorry). But all-in-all, I think TTS is harmless and is sincerely trying to help the community. I still prefer server runs like we used to in BG against teq.
This is an incredibly wonderful rumor surrounding TTS that just isn’t true. We have had developers join us for our raids before (Ian, and a few others to name them) but never have we specifically asked for a developer to kick AFK people out of the map.
If you’ve attended our raids, you’d be aware that we actually give everyone AFK time so you can stand up, and stretch your legs, grab food, etc. I find it ridiculous that a baseless accusation surrounding TTS has forced you to never associate with us, despite you openly admitting that it’s your own personal falsified bias that has led you to this behaviour.
The three times we’ve had developers in our TeamSpeak boils down to this:
1.) When we discovered the Wurms were not properly scaling, and zergs could run to each wurm and get it crit on the first burn phase.
2.) During the Tequatl bug which would occur when too much DPS had been applied to Tequatl’s Kneecaps
3.) And finally, when we were asked not to use a certain tactic on the Wurm that could be considered an exploit.
NEVER have we asked a developer to specifically kick people out of our maps, because this isn’t what we stand for, nor is it what we aspire to have the community believe we stand for. Example being, anytime we pick a map, we flood it with TS people, and anyone else on the map gets invited into our TeamSpeak. We deal with AFK’s every-single-day and we never kick them. Yes, we’ve moved maps before due to excessive AFK’s before setup has finished, but we have never specifically kicked people from our maps, because it is impossible.
That’s quite upsetting, honestly – the only negative attributions that may be true was the situation with our guilds months ago, and the use of our public TeamSpeak by community members who were bigots (mind you, during the Boss Blitz era none of this was moderated by TTS, merely allowed people to use our backup TeamSpeak server to organize the content)
Moreover, due to Boss Blitz – we may never open our Backup to community use again, as anyone who has joined or applied for TTS would know about the TTS etiquette
(edited by UnawarePolarBear.9502)
I thought I would reply to this, purely because you called into question the methods TTS uses to find their maps, our use of TeamSpeak, and the application process of our guilds.
To give you some background information, on Average we have 240-320 people on TeamSpeak for Triple Trouble alone. We run roughly 4-5 Tequatl’s during one raid block, and the only requirement we ask is that: 1.) Our members are repping TTS, and 2.) you get on TeamSpeak. There’s nothing malicious about this, nor is there an issue with people claiming we are “shady” by giving out our TeamSpeak for the OPEN use of the community. Furthermore, we shouldn’t be held accountable for any negative things that occur to someone because they download TeamSpeak (a program that’s widely considered clean, so for you to suggest we’re going to “hack accounts” is hilarious.)
To address the issue you have with the methods we use to find maps, I’ll clue you in rather quickly. We ask our members to flood maps (anyone on our Teamspeak begins to pour into Sparkfly Fen) and the first thing we ask is that everyone begins repping TTS so we may find a map, without causing too much inconvenience within other people attempting to organize Tequatl. More often than not, we are the first to load into freshly spawned maps, and as such cannot be placed at fault for the way ArenaNet utilizes their mega-server system. If there were a server list, we could possibly just enter a world and take our members with us immediately, thus not causing a rift within those who attempt to organize maps themselves. Yet, this functionality is not in the game, so we are left to our devices. I apologize if you feel we are maliciously filling maps and “abandoning” them so you cannot get your kill, which is completely against what we stand for.
Our goals as TTS leaders is to get players their kills, foster community relationships, and generally encourage people to socialize. This is the reason I show up everyday, I honestly don’t care about the loot, nor do I need anything from either of these fights. It’s not as if TTS is forcing people to pay a gold-fee to taxi into our maps, and there’s no requirement besides the TeamSpeak application itself to join our Teamspeak. We haven’t even been using our member server-group (to give priority taxi’s) because we want to give everyone a chance to participate in the fight. If you truly feel that TTS is elitist, there’s nothing I can do to strike that preconceived notion from your mind-set. Legitimately, our application process is quite possibly the easiest thing to do in the entire game. We only have an application process because we have over 4,000 members.
Honestly, if you don’t wish to work with other people, if you refuse to download TeamSpeak, and you refuse to coordinate complex kills like this, then I must respectfully ask you to stick to the easier content. I don’t mean to be rude, but this is Mega-boss content, it’s raid level content and is meant to be hard. If you truly believe that you can organize a fight of this scale (30-40 people on each Wurm, including a condition team and a reflect team, PER wurm) then be my guest. However, the hardest part comes next – ensuring each Wurm is in its critical damage state so it can be decapitated within 1 minute of the first decapitation. If you can do this without utilizing outside functions, then you don’t ever need to play this game again, because you’re a wizard.
TL;DR – Nothing we can do about “abandoning maps” because of the way the mega-server system works, we’re not monopolizing content by asking you to use a resource that’s invaluable, and lastly – if you refuse to utilize the resources, I suggest you do easier content that would fit your play-style. Triple Trouble isn’t Jormag level.

and then Kasmeer was also representing a guild, but only Kasmeer – oddly enough the LGBT guild:

Multiple NPC’s are now doing this – and everyone in The Grove was tagged up with ArenaNet tags, oddly enough it was slowly spreading…
Mordemoth infecting NPC’s with Developer Tags – confirmed.

I found it hilarious that the developer team couldn’t locate the trait, personally – really personified just how pathetic our class is right now.
I’m kind of upset that I am calling it “our class” because really, it should be considered a class that someone actually wants to play.
It’s pretty much garbage. Time to follow the META and roll a guardian.
Unique thoughtful ideas, that will surely be ignored.
I love it though, it seems as if you’ve addressed many of the complaints by simplifying current systems, and redoing many others.
It’s as if you’ve solved the problem by not spamming the same suggestion over and over again (woah.)
Nice job.
If the class is so crappy (it’ not), why do I see so many rangers in PvE?
Because this is the ONLY place the ranger is actually worth something.
They’re awful in WvW, broken in PvP, and lack generally ability to play anything but PvE content. It’s great that casual players are enjoying the ranger for it’s ability to face-roll monsters, but that’s the only thing the class is good for.
If you want to play WvW, or anything else other than PvE, you’re are doomed to fail.
I suggest making a new thread instead of bumping one that is kind of “solved” in their eyes.
It may yield better results.
Weird how arguably the most under-powered class, received the least amount of patch-notes.
This pretty much solidified me ditching my ranger – time to level up my engineer.
Same issue here too… For about 2-4 hours it has not been appearing (the gem store page).
I use a PC.
P.S., it seems as though this event happened immediately after the TP was under maintenance, working on another problem. It’d be nice if we could find solutions for other peoples’ dilemmas without the other half of the community taking the fall.
Mmm… well, at least they’re trying to fix the problems? I just wish they hadn’t have created a brand new problem, I’ve got to get my fix. Buying gems is the equivalent of being addicted to crack cocaine /notsarcasmatall./
:P Funny.
Nevertheless, I think, as with any of their conduct, it is important to share an opinion on how it was conducted. Without our opinions, good or bad, nay or yea, constructive or observative, they could not grow the game and keep us.
Notwithstanding, I’ll ponder your insight, regardless of whether it was warranted.
Probably not warranted, but a bit necessary. I value merit over the outcome of the action. I would rather them attempt to alleviate problems, whether or not they create news one that also need to be alleviated. Lest we forget how bad the first week was… /shudder
Anyway, I think we’re working again? At least I am.
after a lot of reloading the game, and fiddling with settings, I some how got the gem store to work.
I think it may have been by fluke, or the game fixed itself, lol.
Is it working for anyone else now?
Mine too, is now working.
Will continue to update if/when it goes down or becomes unavailable.

Yep, same here. Nothing loading, every other tab works just fine. I’ve sent a support ticket with the Game Adviser report attached, maybe we’ll get some news…?
This review made me laugh the most,
“GW2 is basically a first “solo” MMORPG. ArenaNet is trying to implement this idea of not having to party with anyone to do anything, at the same time you still have to party with random player if you want to experience the full content of the game. "
I laughed pretty hard. Not sure if he even really played the game.
Anyway, GW2 succeeds at being fun, and innovative. I love it.

Laughed so hard.
