By the art direction of the cut-scenes

They were truly magnificent

The art team have really out done themselves. I watched the final cut-scene more than 5 times already and each time I still get goosebumps

I hope there is more in store (:

Hi

Im back after a year and I was wondering if you guys can fill me in.

Are legendary’s still as hard as it was back then?

Whats the new gem conversion system?

What options are there for farming? (Is the frostgorge train etc still worth it?)

Also can anyone tell me what armor is used in this picture – It looks so good

Thanks

Fill me on the story

UnknownAssailant.2375

Hey Guys

I’m currently in my last year of school so I am in a hiatus from gaming and the last time I played GW2 is when the tower of nightmares blew up.
However I want to follow the story of the game and have kind of lost myself after the lack of free time in the last few weeks.

Can anyone fill me in on the details of what has happened after the tower got destroyed?

Such as why Scarlet attacked LA or how she died etc

Thanks
Would be greatly appreciated!

Happy that next patch is Jan 21: Why are we complaining?

So according to the news, the next living story patch won’t come until late January.
But isn’t this what we wanted?
For the developers to put more time into each release so that its more polished and engaging.

Why was the Antitoxin Meter faked?

in Living World

Posted by: UnknownAssailant.2375

UnknownAssailant.2375

If it were up the players the meter would have taken a huge chunk of time to finish…. if not ever.
One of my biggest concerns with the game is the rewarding and giving incentive to do a variety of activities to gain gold/resources other than just riding the champ train.
I remember the first time I did the Hybrid instance: 50 silver and 3 peices of the key were awarded.
Had they kept this as a daily thing I am sure many players would have regularly done it as it is a quick way to gain 50s aswell as a chest key.

Just a quick question- I like many others have an obsession with collecting titles and was just wondering if this will make a return.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed playing the reactor story even if the plot was subpar (scarlett).

I have to say that the end boss- the thaumonova anomaly is probably the funnest boss in this whole game, in my honest opinion.
It kept you moving around the place so you dont fall and its very engaging.
More bosses should be introduced that have an impact on the terrain or have cool moves like this.

Thumbs up from me (:

Tanky Warrior build

in Warrior

UnknownAssailant.2375

Hi

I’m currently using a full zerker warrior build and Yes I am pretty much paper….
I do a lot of dungeons so I figured that it would be worthwhile if I have a tanky build if there is a lack of a tank in the party.
I have the materials to build an ascended soon so I was thinking of either SOLDIER or KNIGHTS build.
The armor I would be wearing is the Arah Knight’s armor
So I figured knights ascended gs to match it would be best?

Thanks

Hi

Looking for a rough estimate of crafting this as if its over 400g then I cannot be bothered…
I know weaponsmithing 500 takes around 15og
How much would i be expecting to pay for the rest of the materials?

Thanks

What I suppose would happen is the same thing we experienced before this patch
with the trees in Kessex Hills getting cut down.
So my guess is that when the bar reaches 100% at a point in time, hints will be given as to what is to be expected next.
In theory the bar would need to reach 100% a bit before the next patch is due so that there is a build up of speculation for it to be effective.

"Much more insidious enemy"

in Tower of Nightmares

Posted by: UnknownAssailant.2375

UnknownAssailant.2375

I think that’s refering to her new creation. At the end of the Molten Facility there was the fusion of dredge technology and flame legion magic, at the end of the Aether path there was the fusion of engineering and the oakheart. I think Scarlet’s agents refers to the krait, Nightmare Court and the clockwork horrors and the more insidious enemy is her latest brilliant creation that cleverly and unexpectedly fuses something about the krait with something about the sylvari.

Oh lord… please no!

UnknownAssailant.2375

Well there goes my chance of ever getting a legendary… heck even a decent looking weapon for my characters
At this rate my time playing this game will be short lived…
I hope they are smart enough to revert the changes and maybe even buff Dynamic events, Temples etc

Their vision of “We don’t make grindy games” is pretty much over as shown by the current economy. They should just move on and try to cater for the game has become.

Whatever happens with the train..

UnknownAssailant.2375

“We don’t make grindy games”- ArenaNet

gee i wonder why so many people are running the champ train then.
Nerfing it would stop many people from getting some cool stuff to kit up their character
which takes time even with the champ train

if they nerfed that I would just be doing the same thing but would get less for the same amount of time

and i would just quit because its pointless.

The thought process on temporary content

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: UnknownAssailant.2375

UnknownAssailant.2375

I honestly do not know what ArenaNets though process behind this temporary content shenanigan.

As they have claimed, teams put around 4 months of work into each release, so why do these teams hard work only stay for two weeks and never heard of again?
Not only is it degrading to the team to know that the content that they put effort into is only going live for a few weeks and many people will not be able to experience it, but also the fact that you are wasting money on something temporary…

Dumping money into something that doesn’t increase the overall quality of the game as a whole (excluding some bug fixes).

Stuff like F&F dungeon would have been great additions to the game as a permanent thing but no instead its down the trash after its “time”.

What are you trying to achieve? I guess I will never find out…

Zerging is getting ridiculous

in Tower of Nightmares

Posted by: UnknownAssailant.2375

UnknownAssailant.2375

Yep, they missed the ball with that giant tower. It could have been the elite dungeon people crave but no…we get the kittening zerg again…
Why even bother to get into the LS? Achieve? Reskinned weapons?
If that tower isnt opened in the future then I have 0 hope remaining for the future of GW2.

Content is getting in a 2 week cycle…

Creating a dungeon decently would take months and the living story is getting place part by part
Its good to have some patience before you start crying on the forums

Community Milestones

in Living World

Posted by: UnknownAssailant.2375

UnknownAssailant.2375

Hi guys

I just wanted to push by the idea of community milestones that the players as a greater collective (all servers) could strive to achieve.
I wrote this in the collaborative thread but I fear it may go unnoticed and just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

A community milestone would be something that all the servers collectively try to achieve within a given time frame. (Progression could be just limited to individual servers too).

An example might be to Defeat Teq 50 times within like 2 weeks. Not only would it encourage more people to get involved with the meta events (as they are working towards something greater) but also the world changes as a result of succeeding/failing.

E.g- Killing Teq 50 times would cull the risen numbers or something like that (not hugely familiar with the lore).
While failing the task would mean the spread of Teq’s wrath into neighbouring areas etc.

In my opinion it would truly feel like a living and changing world based on the community as a whole!

UnknownAssailant.2375

I think that the living world should be shaped by the community
What I mean like is have community milestones- such as Defeat Teq 100 Times within a given time frame. So basically all the servers will become a greater collective into defeating Teq and depending on if it fails/succeeds the world is changing to suit the result.

Yes it will take a lot more time than what it is taking right now but what I just said would feel truly like a living and CHANGING world that the players have more influence on!
