I’d love to see this video, and, as someone above said, including tutorials on a variety of different 1v1 matchups would be awesome. Recently I’ve started getting really into fresh air, and I’ve found the hardest matchups to be meditation guard, D/D eles, and mesmers. Warriors and thieves are of course really hard too. Necromancers not so much, but that might depend on the fact that necro is my main.

7.5/10, quite nice. Unfortunately I can’t see your entire armor set from that angle, but i think especially the gloves fit well, and bonus points because it’s hard to make the staff look good in a set.

What the title says – today I got suspended for 71 hours for inappropriate language. I think I may have joked and said something along the lines of ‘’ey nig kittenit’’ to my IRL friend but I can’t see how anyone would’ve been offended by it since we were talking in /say chat in some abandoned corner of HotM.

I am looking for the type of guild that is small and familylike. I don’t like huge guilds where people don’t know each other.
I have a level 80 necro (and no, I don’t play with it because necros are OP, I’ve played a necro since way before all the buffs) and a level 80 thief. I really enjoy small-scale WvW and sPvP but also PvE. /w me in-game or PM me if you want me on your guild!

Increase the radius of marks by default and make life siphoning scale with healing power. THEN they should start working on torment and giving us burning… Anet’s prioritizing doesn’t make sense at all!

Mark of Revival (the Soul Reaping VII trait): Put down a Reaper’s Mark when you revive someone.
What if this trait would also put down a Reaper’s Mark when you finished an enemy? This wouldn’t be as good as Mist Form or Endure Pain, but it would be something to help necros finishing enemies.

The Fruit Smashers [TFS] has about 100 members, but a lot of them have went inactive or left the guild. Now we are about 10 really active members in the guild, and we’re really close-knit – we’re like a family.
The guild feels familylike and i PROMISE you that you will feel welcome the moment you step into the guild. We do dungeons, WvW and we can help you with leveling if you need that. All players on all levels are welcome. We do WvW, dungeons, sPvP, exploring, jumping puzzles – basically everything. If you gather all the resources while levelling and salvage every piece of armor you find, you’ll be able to craft all the armor you need. Also, crafting is a great way to gain some extra XP.
Crafting while levelling is great.

My tip to you is to not try to play the game as effectively as possible, but to just have as much fun as you can during the leveling process. Try out events, make friends as you’re progressing and if you see something that looks interesting, investigate it – you never know what you might find in this game.

Well first of all, get a nice build that you feel comfortable with and max it out with gear, runes and food. Try to go for world completion, finish your personal story.
There are also a ton of super rare named exotics. There are even exotics that nobody knows how to aquire. You could also work for a legendary (however this is one of the toughest goals there are).
If you get tired of your build, you can start working on a new one. There is just so much fun to do that a lot of people don’t know about!

Maybe the Call of the Comissar could be made in the mystic forge using a Gift of the Forgeman?

There are icons on the minimap showing where the nodes are, look out for those. Also, in my opinion you shouldn’t camp but rather get out and explore the world. Just salvage all the cloth armor you find and soon you’ll have a ton of jute. Welcome to GW2

The thread was not that much about whether necros are OP or not, but more about which one of the necro and the mesmer is best for 1v1 situations. The title was actually meant to make more people check out the thread as I know people would react a lot when I said ‘’Necro OP’’

My guild, Doomblob, consists of a few friends on Whiteside Ridge (some more active than other). We do dungeons and PvE but also a lot of PvP. We’re a nice and friendly bunch of people and if you wanna join, you’re welcome!

What server are you on?

Allright, so me and a couple of friends are trying to make a guild but it’s not going too well because we have trouble with getting people to join.
I figured a good way to solve this would be to put together our guild with another guild with the same problem.

Guild’s name is Doomblob and we play on Whiteside Ridge. If you’re interested, contact me (Hilda Stormwhisper, Chyn Fangheart or simply Uzzwick).

Here are some small, cool changes that I don’t think would take too long for ANet to fix.

- PvP armor at character select screen. I have certain characters for PvP only, and seeing them in their level 2 armor at the character select screen while in PvP they have really awesome PvP sets is just kinda… sad.
- An in-game stopwatch. This would be ideal for testing out builds (which one kills people the fastest, which one can survive the longest etc.)
- In-game notebook. I don’t know, I’m sure it would come in handy a lot of times for many players.
- /duel commando in the mists. When I wanna play alone against a friend it’s a lot more complicated then it should.
- Face-to-face trading – should have been there at launch, still isn’t here. Is it that hard?

And now, ladies and gentlemen, the most important thing of all.
Asuras should be able to ride on a Norn’s shoulders if they’re in the same party. I’m not kidding, this is the best thing ever.

So I was playing with my friend the other day. I play as a necro and he plays as a mesmer.
We tried to 1v1 a couple of times and I managed to win every single one.
He claimed this was because the necromancer is OP. I haven’t played as a mesmer, so I would like your opinion on this – is the necro OP? Which one of necro and mesmer is the best for 1v1:ing people with?
