Let us buy Morgan Freeman to announce every time we kill someone.
WoW is actually pretty fun, played it since before the first expansion,
the pvp feels alot more rewarding,
theres no one shotting,
theres no class like the mesmer spamming an army of clones,
the warriors can actually take a hit without crumbling like paper,
and theres the beloved holy trinity,
Wait a second… did you just speak of the holy trinity as something good?
I commissioned a talented member of the community to draw this for me.
Give. Me. That. Person’s. Name. Now.
NOW.
Look at what happened to WoW – I wouldn’t want an LFG system.
First one looks freking awesome.
I am going for legs, gloves and boots from CoF, shoulders from CM, head from SE and chest from HotW. To that I’ll have the shortbow from CoF – will post pics when finished, just wanted to hear what people think about the concept.
‘’pvp is kill’’
’’no’’
Are you on an EU or an NA server? If EU then I’d love to play with you.
Why not make GW2 available on Steam? This would make a ton of new players check out the game and would benefit the community.
I’d love to see that f-ggot die!
Why not make GW2 available on steam? This would make new players check out the game and would be a generally good idea.
Hello people! My name is Uzzwick.
My main character is Chyn Fangheart, a charr necromancer that I only play PvP on. I have another character, Hilda Stormwhisper, for PvE.
I play mostly PvP and I’m active mostly on fridays/weekends. When I play PvE I enjoy everything from meta event chains to jumping puzzles. I’m trying to run my own guild but can’t seem to get that many players interested.
Server: Whiteside Ridge EU
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
Well this topic will probably be moved to necromancer sub forum, since its there where you usually discuss builds. Also signet of spite – why?
Applies a kittenload of conditions, so why not…
Hello guys!
I’d like some feedback on this necromancer build that I’m using. I’m not that good at all at making builds, and I’m sure it could use a lot of tweaking and fixing, and that’s why I want people’s opinion!
The build is mostly focusing on conditions and also a bit of slowing to help me survive.

My suggestion:
At least until tPvP populations reach a higher level, make tournaments 4 teams instead of 8. Have it on 2 randomly selected maps out of the 3 tournament maps instead of a fixed rotation. Add a “consolation bracket” to the tournament.
Basically, with 4 teams instead of 8, tournaments will pop faster because only 20 players are required instead of 40. The big kicker here is that with only 4 teams, a consolation bracket becomes possible (rewards would need to be adjusted for all of this of course) where the two losing teams from the first round play each other for third place. This way, out of every tournament there are 3 teams that get to feel like they accomplished something. Having a 75% success rate instead of the current 50% should increase the feeling of accomplishment for players. It even mitigates the discouragement of being pre-made stomped in the first round because you’ll likely get a “real” matchup in the second.
This. I agree fully.
Get matched up with people of your rank. All is fine, everyone is happy, GW2 becomes an e-sport. That’s it, ANet!
Too many times to count… it was horrible.
I like the idea, but a better reward would be just a bunch of gems.
Maybe the last 2 suggestions are more of general suggestions than tips on how to make GW2 an e-sport.
My suggestions for PvP:
- Dueling in the heart of the mists – has been said before, will be said again.
- 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments. This is completely necessary if you ever want to make GW2 an e-sport.
- PvP teams with their own rank – before entering a tournament you would get not only a button that says ‘’invite party’‘, but also a button that says ’’invite PvP team’’. There would be separate PvP teams for 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 games, and after each tournament the team gets Rank Points. If you choose to do the tournament with your PvP team you would be put against other teams of the same rank. PvP teams are also necessary to make GW2 an e-sport.
- Nerf thieves’ burst and instead, buff their poisons/traps and possibly stealth.
- Make an option to view a character in his/her PvP gear at the character select screen.
Allright, so here are my suggestions:
- An option to show the character in PvP armor at the character select screen.
- An in-game web browser. I can see so many different ways this could come in handy.
- A stopwatch. This is also a thing that definately could come in handy.
- Face-to-face trading – why the hell isn’t this in the game already?
- An in-game screen recorder, and an ‘’upload to YouTube’’ button that pops up every time you’ve recorded something. If more people upload GW2 videos to YouTube, then GW2 gets more attention and more people will try it out.
…and some suggestions for PvP:
- Dueling in the heart of the mists – has been said before, will be said again.
- 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments. This is completely necessary if you ever want to make GW2 an e-sport.

Is there any chance that we can call this weekend a “stress test” event and then have the updated one next weekend?
This. PLEASE, ANet, do this. I mean, if you don’t, then the first and possibly the most important act will be forever lost. With no doubt this would be the best solution.
I also agree they could get a couple of more guild icons!
DUH, we already have the commando!
Uh, the picture didn’t go in my post the way I thought it would… oh well.
I think there should be an option to show the character in PvP armor on the login screen. I currently have one character for PvP only, and even though I’ve put a lot of time into getting PvP gear for him, I still view him in his level 2 PvE armor on the login screen, which of course feels kind of… boring, in a lack of better words.
Picture not related, just a random GW2 wallpaper.
You are SO right! This would work out as the arenas in World of Warcraft, for example. What a good idea. They could get dueling in the mists instead of 1v1 though, just like dimyzuka said.
My feedback:
True that they should decrease the size of teams to 5. But why not be able to queue as a group of max 5 instead of 4, so you can have a full party? Also, I like the bit with the tournament tiers.
I don’t see the point in making free tournaments require a premade team, the thing with free tournaments are just to be able to jump in and have fun with just a bit better players than the ones in the regular sPvP, aren’t they?
Overall, I really think ANet should consider this.
