I spent 350g on my precursor last week, would suck if they became freebies next update.

They’re a little rarer than most would like but their price is due to the high demand for legendaries. If they nerf precursors it would really be a slap in the face to anyone who worked to get a precursor the hard way when compared to those who sat and cried until it was made easier.

Well that’s just the way these things work, look at it this way. You bought a new game the day it came out while I waited to buy it when it was on sale. Did I just slap you in the face?

Legendary weapons in this game are not legendary to begin with. They have no legend behind them like they do in WoW. The legendary weapons are just pretty skins that everyone should be able to obtain all of eventually, there’s even an achievement to get a few. The process to obtain them though is way way wrong. Having to farm for days upon days is not fun in any way, it’s a cheap tactic to keep people playing.

At the door puzzle and I’ve been trying to get it to work but I’m certain it’s bugged at this point. I know I’m doing it correctly because I watched a video of someone else doing it. Don’t know if a server restart/new build would fix this or not.

Magic find really is a terrible stat for any game. Just because the stat exists it forces you to kitten yourself by using a magic find set to increases your chances of getting better gear that you are never going to wear because you’re going to be wearing your magic find set anyway. Please remove this useless stat, thank you.

OP is confused, the halloween events completed achievement is not part of the 4 main acts. When you knock on a haunted door some of them will start events that are supposed to count towards that achievement but currently do not, It’s bugged.

The one in LA isn’t meant to move, it will progress with the acts. The other events from doors are not counting towards the halloween events completed achievement, that for sure is bugged.

Just went through all the AA options with Nvidia Inspector again and can confirm that none of them work still. At least with an Nvidia card.

The best AA currently available is super sampling AA, but that has a massive performance impact. The pixel crawl you’re talking about is only an issue when using shader based AA like FXAA, MLAA, and SMAA, which is where SMAA excels.

The SMAA injector is a third party program and I believe they stated that almost all third party programs are not allowed. I’m just hoping that they don’t mind this one.

The only AA currently available in game is FXAA, which is terribly blurry. Would my account be at risk if I use an SMAA injector? If yes then can we expect better AA to be implemented in the future?

The mounds are bugged big time for melee. If you just stand there you will miss every attack but if you keep moving you will hit every attack. I run around in circles on top of them.

Other than the bugged mounds the strategy is figuring out which mounds to kill first and how many people you should have doing that versus protecting the npc. My group has figured it out but I’d rather not spoil that fun for you. =D

If they do per boss tokens then people will do exactly what they were doing before. Kill the first couple bosses then reset the instance and do it again and again.

If my idea is used they could remove diminishing returns in my opinion.

I mentioned this in another thread yesterday but I feel it got burried and nobody payed attention to it.

You have four people including whoever Magg is currently following stand at the start away from any enemies while one person runs through and makes it to the magmacyte. Once he makes it there the four person group then waypoints to the beginning of the dungeon forcing Magg to teleport to the single person standing at the magmacyte. Event completed.

Really hope that in the future dungeons get a much more thorough testing before release. Simple things that we shouldn’t have an issue with right now are what are bothering me the most though. Things like walls that can just be jumped over, should have sky high collision to begin with. Gates that are meant to be impassable can be jumped over or even jumped straight through, should have sky high collision and it should be wider than the gate itself. It seems like your collision at the moment is completely model based, meaning if theres a hole in the wall you can just jump through the hole. Here’s to hoping you start using collision volumes.

As to my idea for tokens. I really like that you now have to complete an entire path to get rewarded your tokens, but this change means that people will find the quickest way to the end possible, skipping as many enemies as possible. What if for each boss, mini boss, or event you killed or completed it increased the amount of tokens you got at the end of the run. I think this would encourage people to complete everything in the run instead of skipping it all. If theres a certain event or enemy that your group really just cant do or don’t want to do they can skip it but get a lower reward at the end.

I understand it’s your first time doing these kinds of dungeons ANet, mistakes are expected. I just hope you guys can get them cleaned up and do a much better job in the future.

I think it’s generally agreed right now that the legendary weapons take far too long to grind out and are just that, a grind.

Grinding is not fun in the slightest and the game was built from the ground up to be fun.

In my opinion, the process to obtain legendary items needs to change.

I was saying that I farm karma there till I’m only getting 19 karma. Then I take a break for about an hour and continue after it resets. There is no way you are getting that much karma from the 3-5 events at the race track.

Orci you have to be bullkitten. Having played in beta I knew karma was going to be very important so from level 1 I haven’t spent a single point of it. I run the race track in Orr every day till I hit the anti farm code and only get 19 karma per event. I currently have 185k karma.

Kind of agree with you Bruno but don’t at the same time. They are a really nice thing to have and work towards but at the moment the materials required to make them are extraordinarily too much.

They even expect you to be able to obtain all of them seeing as there is an achievement to do such, but with what it takes to make just one currently, that will never happen. The next two or three expansions will be out before anyone is able to do that and in that time they will probably have added more to obtain lol.

Most of you aren’t even talking about the same thing as the OP. OP is talking about the survivor achievement, not the monthly achievement. To get survivor you have to not die from the start of your characters life, and obtain 200,000+ experience. If you die you have lost your chance and can only make a new character to try again.

The most easy fix I can think of would be to let players gain influence for any guild they are a part of and not just the one they currently represent. Which I personally don’t see a problem with.

Currently there is zero reason to remain in a small guild. Why stay in a small guild with no bonuses when you can join a large one and benefit from 24/7 bonuses. I have a guild, we started out only inviting friends, family, and by referral. We then realized that we would never be able to fully benefit from the guild system if we kept doing so. Lately we have been trying to invite anyone as long as they seemed to be smart. The problem is everyone already has a guild that is much larger and has 24/7 bonuses and therefor refuses to represent us, which means our guild never gains influence to grow. In my opinion something has to change.

Graveling Mounds are exceptionally hard to hit with melee.

This is indeed a bug. I have found that if you stand still and try to melee the mounds you will miss repeatedly, but if you run around you will hit.

On a somewhat related note rifles also get the obstructed or out of range message when attacking a lot of objects. Most notably the blossoms in TA, they are almost impossible to kill with rifles. I have to switch to longbow to kill those every time I run it.

Point they are trying to make is that you don’t have to go for the dungeon gear. You can get the same stats elsewhere.

But back on topic, I will take a screenshot of this wall and report it if I get into another run. A reply from ANet just to confirm if they already know about this or not would be welcome.

I actually like the difficulty, makes it a lot more fun trying to figure fights out and not just being handed loot. But this does need to be fixed, don’t know why there isn’t sky high collision on every wall that isn’t meant to be passable in the first place.

So I finally got a group for Arah explorable tonight, it was advertised as a farm run. I figured we would run through the easiest path of the dungeon a few times to get shards fairly quickly. Turns out they choose the third path, kill the first boss legit, then jump over a wall with swiftness completely bypassing a bunch of the dungeon taking you directly to the second boss. Kill him legit then reset the dungeon and repeat, all of which takes about 10-15 minutes if even for 8 shards.

This needs to be fixed ASAP.
