I wonder if Sylvari “juices” taste like nectar…
I like where this is going.
Norn women win hands down. Contest over.
Why are so many people complaining that it’s difficult to make money? Are you completely ignoring the Trading Post? Just sell mats you find and don’t need, and bam! There are your teleport costs! I’m not 80 yet, but if making money is THIS easy at low level, it’s got to be a kittened gold mine at cap!
Besides. The gold sinks are here to keep the economy stable, and quest rewards relevant. If it costs 5 gold just to buy a level 20 blue helmet, and you only get maybe 1 silver from a heart quest reward… you see where I’m going with this.
TL;DR Use the trading post. It’s easy money.
Woah woah woah, slow down now. You’re forgetting an important detail.
Each class only has about 5-6 spells for each weapon set. Elementalists have almost 24. Allow weapon swapping for Elementalists, and that changes to 48. 48 spells.
I play an elementalist and I know how much raw damage I put out. Effectively doubling that potential output is ridiculous. I know no weapon swapping seems kind of unfair, but think about how many advantages you’d gain over everyone else.
Now out of combat switching, like some of you including the OP are suggesting, I can get on board. But for those who want combat switching, don’t expect it any time soon.
the khan-ur could out drink a norn…
Heresy!

The UI addons are the best, though!
You’ll find that money is much easier to come by when you spend some time each day on the Trading Post. On good days, I can make 50 extra silver in a single day, just selling things off I don’t really need. Most people prefer to do crafting to make their money, but simply being a mats supplier can be modestly efficient. Copper ore is one of the biggest money makers out there. A single vein can cover my waypoint costs for the hour. Find more ore, combined with other loot you find and questing payments, self sufficiency becomes much, much easier. This is especially good because there is little to no grind here. Just pick up some mats while you’re out. Maybe take a minute out of your travel and harvest the ore near a road, then go back to your business. It’s one of the reasons I like this game so much.

Curse is an addon management tool. Here, check it out:
I’ve read through it all. Good and comprehensive. The only thing I disagree with the the pricing/income changes. It feels fine. I’d rather it not blow up to WoW proportions. I love shrieking in joy when I get 20 silver off of something.

Please choose suggestions YOU’D like to see implemented!
1. Improved graphical performance
2. Curse and Addon support
3. UI Re-positioning
4. Ability to see your target’s numerical health value
5. Fixed voice sync issues
6. More Dual-Wielding support
7. Improved Netcode
8. Anatomical, Cultural and other information on GW2 Races within an in-game codex (a la Mass Effect codex)
9. Improved PvP
10. Improved Party support
Gonna second this actually. But this will require some time, considering GW2 already has video performance issues, increasing the polycount even more won’t help that. They’ll have to nail down the rendering engine, first, because not even high-end computers can run the game the way they should (i.e. 50-60 FPS).
I’ll be getting into the RP scene soon, and it’d be handy to have more open areas and higher performance to boot.
If you completely max out a Norn’s body size, the proportions come together nicely.
Specifically, how they relate to my hunger! Ha ha! Sylvari makes for good roughage, keeps Norns healthy and strong! Nectar make VERY good dressing for walking salad! You may be useless now, but wait until you’re inside a Norn’s belly! Keep him full and alert!
It’s funny, really! How plants think they serve any other purpose besides providing sustenance; You are worth nothing until prepared and served!
Just kidding. We love you guys.
You still probably make good salads.
Wouldn’t it be neat? I’m thinking maybe some kind of bonus that is applied somewhere in Traits, probably the very last bonus in Zeal, with a requirement to have say.. 15-20 points in Honor and Valor each. I’m probably gonna get a lot of flak for this post, but I still think it’d be neat as hell to use. Opinions?
Ha, it’s funny because IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
How’s being a freakin’ BEAR working out?
Best decision I’ve made in the entire game.
They arent humans. If you want thick pecs roll human.
I was about to say the exact same thing…
Norns aren’t Humans. We don’t have the same anatomy but bigger. And if you think it logically, their chest should be bigger… try to oxygenate all that body, you’d need 4 lungs and a heart the size of a watermelon lol
I just realized that a Norn’s heart is probably larger than a Mountain Gorilla’s head.
Norns are harder to do jumping puzzles with, yes, but it’s not too hard. It gets a lot easier if you use Guardian’s 2-hand staff for a large move speed bonus.
Frankly, I feel Norns should use Johnny Bravo’s “The Monkey”.
I have a pet Asura in my pocket… I call him George
Asuraball is a lot of fun.
Kind of a shame they rarely survive the ordeal, though.
I love Eir! She is so beautiful
12/10 would hit like sub-orbital nuke
Wow, nice to see lots of feedback. It’s opened my mind up a little. Thanks, guys!
Are you kidding me?
Support guardians are some of the most valuable units around. In most events, I get a gold, doesn’t matter if I went GS dps, Staff Support or Mace support. I ALWAYS get a gold. The rewards for healing and supporting are on the same level as DPS. Not only that, every class has a little bit of everything to offer. Guardians especially. Learn more about the class, and try different weapon sets. You won’t regret it.
I’ll drink you under the table, scrub.
All these economics hurts my brain. All I know is that I find blue mats, and sell them at the recommended price. It’s way over the vendor price, which is good for me. I can sell Vials of Weak Blood, or Copper ore, or other neat things, and I wind up making a ton of money for it. It’s very convenient. I hope this isn’t bad for the economy.
Neat information! I’ll keep this in mind when I’m spinning.
I love the absolute flexibility GW2 gives the player. It’s one of the many things that make me consider this game the greatest MMO ever. But…
Norn Thieves?
How does that even work?
I just got into the game. My main is currently only level 10, but I’m absorbing a lot of information. So even I know this is waaayy too out of place.
#1. It defies their very concept of honor.
So why would that even happen? It’s so confusing! The incredible Anglo-Saxon style of culture that the Norns hold makes thievery near impossible. Not only that..
#2. They’re freakin’ huge.
How would a Norn sneak up on someone to either assassinate them or steal their stuff?
Discuss!
That’s not even the worst bit. The male Norn jumping noises.
Goodness.
At least their cry of sadness is very well done.
