Lol I love how everyone always discredits claims of hacks. Remember when everyone said League of Legends was unhackable because its server side only? HAHA fun times, hacks stayed forever because people were so ignorant. You guys don’t have an eye for it then. Most of the time they only put on a small speed boost, an easier way to tell is when you DEBUFF them, slow, cripple or chill and they still maintain same speed. That’s sure sign.
The surest sign is when you have people who play them exclusively….

Btw I’m loving thief’s ez mode right now. Makes PvP less frustrating… Skilled player with OP class = top of leader-boards every game, or maybe just playing with scrubs?
Due to family and work I usually only play during the nighttime 12:00AM- whenever my eyes start burning, and I’ve noticed something, there’s a lot of speed hackers on at night. Could be just the games I join or something but during the day they seem to be few or none per session.
Would also love a Hostages game mode. One team holds hostages and the other tries to free them and lead them back to base. No one can kill them else that team loses.

I know, its crazy. I’ve been reading up alot on past games and its just sad. People who need that gear crutch talking down to players who want more of a competitive PvP. Its always the same line, “You want to come in and beat people who’ve been playing for X amount of time?!!! They earned it!!!”
The point is that none is doing that.
Everyone who complains about these classes being overpowered, as I said, are people who played another profession and then rerolled to one of them to be competitive in sPvP and now they are.
If you are waiting for someone who is criticizing these professions without even playing them, you are waiting for a ghost.
I love your enthusiasm and idealism but stating anything in absolutes is childish, nothing is backed by your claims. You simply tell yourself one thing and refuse any other input that could deviate from your own ideals. Frightful way to conceive beliefs/opinions.

if you play every class too, them I applaud you, however there are many who don’t and complain about them. Those are the people I’m actually referring to and questioning the logic on this subject.
I’m all for a leaver penalty. I’d go as far as to ask for deduction to your rank points for leaving a game!
Why? Hot join is the same as most FPS games, no one actually cares about the pub matches as long as people can join a game in progress. Having any sort of penalty for leaving a game that essentially doesn’t matter whatsoever is dumb. Sure, it can be a bummer if too many people leave without any others joining, but you can’t put a punishment on a casual gametype.
Exactly this, if you can join mid game, you can leave mid game, putting a penalty to leaving would ruin the fun, do you play PvP to have fun or rage? Its more fun to win but if your getting more frustrated playing then having fun I suggest you go for a walk or take a break from games.
Reading posts on old/new games, I laugh and cry on how gear was always the deciding factor for PvP in those games.
I cry for the people who are still there wanting things to change and I laugh at the players who never want it to change because of the advantage they get from gear.
All I want is responses from people who do this and the reasons why.
Like I said referring LoL, try out the classes and make decisions based off first hand knowledge. Yes, there is balance issues but how can you resolve them without proper knowledge of them?
Honestly, why? If you get destroyed by a certain class you’ve never played why do you rush to the forums and complain about it?
There are imbalance issues, but to complain about them without knowing first hand the hows and whys?
Its the same in LoL, people complaining about certain champs being op and never having played them, then playing them and changing arguments to “OP in the right hands”. That’s why at different ELOs different champs get banned.
I’ve so far heard every profession except elementalists and necros referred to as OP more than once. Your point is both invalid and of childish disposition, and I would assume you will continue to be a bad player for quite some time until you adjust your attitude.
I play every class, I suggest you try out the others, pro. OP makes you good, cry when they nerf. I’ll just switch class.
If you play every class less than a month in, you are not mastering any of them, and I promise you, you are pretty bad, unless you are a homebody with nothing to do but GW2, in which case, I can see why you’re burned out and jaded.

When I see a guardian or Mesmer I cringe at the ensuing stalemate or defeat, while not being able to budge them from a point. Everyday I see more and more people switching to these classes, more games filled with mostly 3 classes… I’ve switched as well… feels dirty but less grief.
google it… its pretty common, especially when there is no other way to get an advantage. Last night a player named Mogz was using a speedhack, not maxed but you could tell the difference. He downed myself and a teammate, he did finishers on us both before I could get off the 2nd downed ability to knock him down.
With several third party cheat applications running around, I was wondering if there was going to be a report function put in place or is Anet flagging for bans?
People will always find ways to ruin the fun out of games these days.
