Here’s what I notice about lag:

As an ele, necro or mesmer, any lag results in you being less effective, strong lag makes it impossible to play in or survive any fight, as you are more dependent on your skills to damage/stay alive.

In the same battle, staff guardian won’t even notice the lag as they can spam 1 all day long, and regen will keep them alive.

Warrior just laughs as heal sig and regen outheals the incoming damage and chops up all the squishies.

When the lag gets bad, I switch off my ele and log into my guard called ‘Boredom Tanking’, and suddenly I no longer notice the lag.

Sounds like someone is doing Guardian wrong. Every class is dependent on their skills to stay alive. Guardian just as well, let alone positioning. Lag sucks, it hurts everyone. It’s not been TERRIBLE recently, but it makes it hard to do anything as any class. I2Guardian

This might be the most ridiculous thread posted for WvW. Everyone on your map doesn’t rally to the pin, especially if you’re losing, pugs get demoralized, and if they are, good luck getting them to rally. Let alone the different variables involved here, short list;

How many havoc groups did you have on the map?
How many guild groups were out there?
How many roamers did you have?
How many afk in spawn etc did you have?
Was the commander someone recognizable that people will rally to?
Was the commander holding objectives/taking them, or getting wiped repeatedly?

But by all means, continue to call ‘hax’.
Just because you’re losing doesn’t mean someone else is ‘cheating’.

I wouldn’t think it would be a problem for friends, as they could just send you the money in 2 “payments”, one each week. If you already trust them enough to sell them a precursor in such a way, trusting them to make multiple payments shouldn’t be too much of a stretch.

I mean, sure, you have to wait two weeks to get all the gold, but I kind of doubt you’re so in need of 500 gold that you absolutely NEED it immediately.

The problem comes when that is only an specific trade, and you have the entire week to do more trades.

Actually, this might affect me even more than I though earlier. You can check my in-game historial right now to find an interesting log. Since i got more than 1000Gold and a really friendly guild (we know each other on real life), I usually give money to my guildies when they need it (as example to buy the black wings) and they return it to me on the next weeks.
In the past months I gifted 1250g for a precursor to a friend that I met on real life 1 month ago. Then later I gave 750g to another friend for a different precursor, 510g to a different one, 100g to another one, 100g to another one and 60g to another one. At this moment, all of them did return my money back (except 95g) and they did get their shiny item when they didn’t had enough money for it.

It was totally ok for me. If a close friend ask me for 700g to return it in 1 month, I would give the money to him without doubt, but now I won’t be able.

You see my point, right? I’m not selling gold, but this new “rule” will annoy the hell out of me. (Trying to give some criticism feedback).

Umm if someone is asking for 700g to be returned in 1 month then under this new system it still works. Since the cap is 500g/week, they will just have to wait 2 weeks to receive the 700g, thereby satisfying the within 1 month requirement.

Also re-read point 5: The maximum amount of gold that can be sent via a single in-game mail will be 500 gold.

They don’t say any limits on how much gold a person can send, just how much per ONE in-game mail. Thus this should not prevent you or anyone else from sending various amounts of gold to others.

The cap is per account per week. and it’s recieved, not sent, according to the literal wording of the post.

hrasna — you’ve hit a very important point here: This change will impact very, very few players. In fact, in previous statistical reviews, the percentage of players who would be impacted would be in the low single digits.

I would be curious to know the ratio of gold sellers to people trading withing guilds(or friends)/Community raffles etc to know what the majority of those affected are. Seems like a poor change decision if the majority are people trading among themselves or holding raffles/guild/community events. Although I’m sure that’s been discussed at length with this change. I’m just curious as to the data behind the decision.

I am the acting leader of Divisive Action [DA], formerly and perhaps better known as Decisive Actions. As a guild we have persisted through multiple changes in leadership, guild merges, and periods of inactivity, and through all of this we have maintained one of the most inclusive and friendly communities that I have known online.

All of our members are adults with lives and families outside of the game, and play this game as a hobby and not a job. We’re a relaxed group, but our members are like-minded in the sense that they have the most fun playing to the best of their ability and succeeding in what they try to do, and we set high expectations for both ourselves and our guild mates. Our guild members are open to suggestions and criticism from their guild mates, as we always try to learn from our mistakes rather than repeat them.

We’re looking to recruit players of all skill levels that are able think quickly (or learn how to) and are willing to learn and grow with the group as we all get back into the swing of things. If you are first and foremost looking to have an enjoyable experience in the game while playing with others who will bring out the best of your abilities while you bring out theirs, are thick-skinned enough to accept the advice of other people, and are willing to adapt to a community as it grows, we would be more than happy to have you!

Our current schedule is Monday/Saturday for WvW Havoc raiding, adding other WvW days if people get on, and PvP if we don’t fill the ranks enough for a havoc squad or if we feel like taking a break from WvW. We have accomplished PvPers as well, so that’s an option if you’d like it.

We do not pay for transfers. Don’t ask. I will laugh at you. Over time if you stick with the guild I may pay you back, but we will not pay for your move.

You realize most people that use their mesmers for ports, leave them there and just log in, drop ports to end of JP, rinse repeat until done, then leave them back there and log into whatever their other toons are, right? (Aside fro like OS etc obvs) I used to do this when I was waiting for groups to get together for WvW, so let’s all drop the “I’m a waiter” BS, if you don’t want to port or only want the tips from it instead of just being happy helping other players, don’t do it. Get over yourselves. <3

Yesterday evening/late afternoon I played a few maybe 10ish? matches with either a premade 4 + 1 or we had a full 5. We won all of them by a wiiiiiiide margin. I can’t be sure but it did NOT feel like we were playing against other premades. I would have thought we were based on queue time though. It would have been:

I don’t often post on the forums, but as a mostly WvW player mostly, I crafted my legendary (after being forced to do map completion/run dungeons AKA PVE CONTENT) and didn’t whine about it once. And btw, WvW rank 30 is chump change compared to doing all the PvE map completion. Honestly, imo they should have made something in TPvP you have to get as well, since legendaries are supposed to be a symbol of your ‘experience’ in all aspects of the game.
I’m just glad they increased dragonite ore from Keeps now. I feel like ANet is moving in a good direction, after a couple mis-steps.
Also, Legendaries are supposed to be ‘grindy’. They wouldn’t have value if they weren’t.

Keep your PvE out of my WvW >.> If you don’t want to run with the zerg, you don’t have to, take 5 people and run a havoc group. The reason guild groups work is because of communication. Get in voice comms, make a channel for your havoc group in ts, run around and wreak havoc, distract the enemy from what your commander is doing, collect bags, profit. I feel like if people wanted PvE, they’d go PvE. Diluting the player aspect of WvW is faaaar from what we need, imo. Well thought out suggestion though.

1) Server imbalance. It’s freaking ridiculous. Need sooome kind of comeback system.
2)Alt-friendliness. Why do you hate my alts…
3)Rewards/WvW achieves (Sorry I’m torn on this one, but both could use a re-hash)

PvE:

1)Loot/RNG (Let’s be real here, it’s terrible, I feel like every time I get something I’ve just commented out code. Get it? Because they’re green?? Oh man. I’m hilarious.)
2)Unique armor skins (Wheeeeeere are they???), for that matter, variety of rewards in general.
3)Lore, something I think we need to see more of imo. I know more of the lore from my GW1 time than anything from GW2.

But I think this collaborative development idea is genius. If it works out!
