I can confirm this as well. From my experience it mostly happens to me when I’m on the Red team

I can also agree to this, I don’t know how many times I’ve dc’d during a vinewrath, only to log back in the same map with vinewrath still going on, tagging mobs to get the bonus chests, but then once the vinewrath is completed not getting the giant chest at the end.

Same problem for me as well. All achievements completed, even restarted client. Entered WvW, still nothing.

It might also help to address the issue where, no matter what map we seem to play the reward tracks become frozen and we can’t progress anything even on progression maps. Yet we are still getting rank points and gold/silver just not progression on the tracks themselves

In your case, Anet had specified that once the patch hits, EVERYONE has to redo all story instances to unlock that specific track permanently. Otherwise a specific one is released for free bi-weekly

Not sure if this was a bug or intentional or if anyone else has experienced this yet, and I haven’t seen anything in patch notes regarding this so I thought I’d try the bug forum section first.

Is there a cap on the amount of progression you can receive per day on the reward tracks?

I was working on the Balthazar back item track, when all of a sudden I noticed that I’m stuck at 27% completion. Yes I am playing in Progression enabled maps, and yes I am receiving rank points for my actual rank based on the amount of time I played in that map, however I’ve spent the last hour with out being able to progress on the back item track or any other track for that matter.

Here’s what I’ve tried: switching maps, switching reward tracks, even re-logging, and have had no success what so ever on getting any further progression on the back item or any other track.

I’ve noticed this too for me, live in America but play on EU servers. Even dc’d twice today doing nothing

I have noticed this too, must of started after the server went down last night. It’s actually rather annoying that i can’t spectate or choose my team it just puts you on a random team.

Just experienced this bug/poor mechanic first hand … Basically kept recycling the second cannon phase because of regeneration buff. Had to give up after about 10 tries only being able to do like 3-4k damage before going back to cannon phase.

@OP – I don’t think its your antivirus causing the problem, but I could be wrong.

As for the gem store not loading, I am also experiencing this issue since patch. No matter what tab I click (in the gem store) all I get is constant loading scroll

I have been in parties as well where this has happened, it gets rather annoying when you’re trying to do dungeons

Same problem here as well. Can hear sounds in the background as though I’m fully loaded in game, however, still see the loading screen up

Similar issues here, when I can log in, I get stuck on loading screen into a map.

Same here, was having massive lag issues for the past 10 min, decided to log out to see if that would fix it. Now I can’t get back in.

Me as well as several of my friends have experienced this problem on and off the past 2-3 weeks now.

Also not sure if this is part of the party bug. When I tried to join fractals today (after the new build update) with a group of friends, every time someone else would enter the fractal all my friends and I would get the message to enter, however, when i clicked on the enter fractal message, it would go away, and wouldn’t transfer me into fractals; yet all my other friends could get it. If I start fractals first, none of my friends can join and have the same problem I’m having

I can say I too have had both problems the OP has stated for what seems like about a week now. It seems to come and go for me, and the only way I have found to fix it so far is to restart the whole client.

My concern is why is this happening still, and what is causing it or caused it to happen?

P.S. I also noticed a few of my friends having this problem in the past, however, they haven’t stated if they’re still experiencing it or not.

I disconnect every 20-30 sec while in LA here

Same here, I know the update comes live in less then 1 hr from now according to game message, I also did the stupid thing of logging out thinking the patch was here. However, it doesn’t make sense why you couldn’t log back in now.

I’ve noticed that since the feb 13 maintenance update both times that I BSoD I happened to have both the game running as well as YouTube up or watching a video on YouTube. However, prior feb 13 I didn’t have any problems running YouTube and gw2 side by side.

This is correct. RNG gets much better in the later levels with the skins. When 50+ was available, most of my friends/guildmates who were high up there got a skin each day. So if you really want the skins, you should level up some more.

Only problem is, sadly I’ve been hearing from friends who have friends at the 40+ difficulties is that its no longer possible to even do 40, now whether that’s with or without the amulet is unclear, and the fact that he’s at 34 ( part of the 30 tier), which is claimed to now be the “max” tier proves that the RNG for the fractal skins is still super rare and like everything else that isn’t a recipe or bought from any type of token, based on luck.

I had a few different suggestions for the fractal skins and how they could be better made accessible.

First Method:

Like the rings, make the option to buy the fractal skins with the pristine fractal relics that you get 1 for per daily. Set the price at a reasonably high price like 30-50, this way it takes a longer time to get but, in the end, you would be able to buy the skin you want. Only downside would be is that as the game goes on more and more people will have the fractal skins compared to if it was based on the current RNG.

Second Method:

Keep the rarity of the fractal skins as they are as far as percentage of them dropping from the bonus chest. In this case, however, instead of getting an actual fractal weapon (typically one you didn’t want) you could get a token that could then be traded for the skin you wanted while still keeping it account-bound. Downside with this method is it stays rare with the current RNG and some may still not receive any while others could receive 3+.

I too was one of those that hadn’t had blue screens caused by the game since it came out up until the Feb 13th maintenance update. 2 days after this update, I experienced a blue screen which turned out to be a driver problem with my graphics card.

Now that I’m currently running the newest driver (Nvidia card Driver 314.07). I learned that yesterday there turned out to be a massive server problem which caused many people to not be able to log in and it created massive lag. Throughout the day yesterday I was able to log on a few times through that problem but only to face either massive lag and black screens or blue screens. After having about 3 black screens with massive lag and a blue screen which didn’t come up with any real problem other then it saying it was just a “kernel-power error,” I decided to give up and stop playing. Since I stopped playing GW2 for that day I noticed I didn’t receive a single blue or black screen while playing other games.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with the login problems but I’m currently back in game, however, the lag is worse then normal, and i just had a black screen as well

Okay so I managaged to get in game, however, it says I’m the only person in my guild when I know I’m not, and half my friends who are on says they’re not according to the friends list

Mine was fixed, then it turned out to be really laggy com-paired to how it normally is, and now I’m having the same loggin error again

I avoid it like the plague it is..actually i avoid all dungeons like a plague especially after the stupid way point nerf and dungeons not being toned down to match it…

I come to mmo’s to enjoy myself casually, not to play like i’m trying to climb Mt Everest every session….

So what you’re asking is for dungeons to be super easy so you can clear them in 10 min?

Personally, I like the dungeon WP nerf. Prior to the nerf i felt dungeons to be way too easy and just something I did to pass the time. With the nerf I feel that it makes dungeons harder and more challenging without having to alter anything else in the dungeon, which I enjoy. Also the dungeon WP nerf made it similar to fractals where you can’t teleport till all members are dead, or now when no one is in combat and/or all members are dead.

On topic with the OP, I also agree that when it came time to fight Zhaitan (story mode), I was rather disappointed. However for the explore paths, when I run them, granted like others I find them easy, they are still challenging enough for those that don’t know the methods or techniques for fighting the bosses, and most of the mobs (filler) can be avoided by just running past them.

I had a blue screen 2 days after the Feb 13 maintenance update, using a Nvidia Graphics Card, however, for me it turned out to be the driver that i had at the time. I updated my drivers and currently haven’t had one since, that could possibly be the problem with both of you. If that still doesn’t fix the problem then chances are it could end up being a hardware problem depending on the type of BSoD you’re getting

Well you already know the culprit, its your graphics drivers. There is nothing the developers can do to “fix” this as its your system at fault.

You need to re-install your graphics drivers. When doing so make sure you tick the box in the nvidia installer for a “clean install” option. Make sure its the correct drivers for your operating system, and ONLY use official drivers to ensure correct operation.

I don’t think you’re reading what the OP or I said, we had no problems at all 1-3 weeks ago, we have the most recent driver updates. So unless I’m missing something, how can it be the graphics drivers randomly failing especially after a most recent maintenance update?

I too have recently experienced a Blue screen 2 days ago while crafting in LA watching a youtube video. I also like to add that I have a Nvidia graphics card with the latest drivers.

You can’t because I learned and checked that they are unique, which imo doesn’t make sense, because first of all the rings are untradeable, at least currently, plus you can only get one chance per day from bonus chest and that’s if you’re lucky, unless you manage to have multiple characters past D10. I don’t know the math or what the percentage is of getting a ring, but from all the rings I’ve seen there’s at least 20+ and to get even the same ring is pretty rare if you ask me. So to make them not only account bound but unique, makes many rings useless to yourself especially if you can’t/don’t need them.

I agree, imo it defeats the purpose of having “good” gear especially seeing how the new ascended rings are the best atm

I am unsure where to put this topic, and I admit I’m a noob when it comes to the forums.

My question though is, how come we can only wear one type of ascended ring, and is this a bug or intentional?

For those that might be confused, what I mean is, I just received my second Yakkington’s Ring from daily bonus chest, however, when i went to try and put it on it would give me the red square option meaning i can’t put it there and it’s not currently soulbound to any of my other characters. What I don’t understand if this IS intentional why are we limited to the rings we’re allowed to wear? Many of these rings are specific to certain builds, one of my builds is obviously Magic Find, and being a believer in Magic Find gear i thought yes now i can have another +10% yet it won’t let me wear it.
