Only buff LB needs is the ability to have a crosshairs so i can manually aim it. Aim the bow down the middle of the hall with piercing arrows to aoe the mass? Perfect. This would be an amazing change for the ballista too.
I dont care if he is nerfed, as it is, he is not worth the time, i generally avoid both him and the lich unless im running with a really good zerg, even then its not worth the effort. Buff rewards, chest every kill at least.

Not 100% sure but it appears that when i look at the wvw windows in game, my internet dies.. has happened twice now, ill test further but.. boggled as to why this would happen
The higher base damage of the Ascended might make it higher per normal hit then the Exotic. Im not sure how Base damage works vs power though!
I would not expect much on the 15th either.
I was trying to figure out the lore behind Fractals of the Mists in game last night and i could find nothing besides that hamster woman telling me something about solidifying parts of the mists? Why am i in here.. why am i helping her? She did not even ask me to help her i just jump in the portal, portal to anywhere, i dont even know. Why am i killing these people, who is that titan, is he going to smash us later, or is he going to go king Kong on a dragon?
Just felt super empty, and when i asked around the other players all they said was “I dunno!” really quite disappointing. If the lore is on the web somewhere that is fine and dandy, hell I’m creative enough i can just make something up myself. It just makes the game feel.. shallow and cardboard when there is nothing to see behind the curtain but the back of the curtain..
I’m not sure why people feel the need to debate the logic of X class having X weapon. We use a spear GUN don’t we? The rifles in this game are little more then muskets, simple mechanical parts, a tube of metal to project shot. That’s the same level of mechanical parts we would find in our spear gun, and our spike trap, though i suppose we could argue that the traps are magical, but then i could argue that my gun is actually just a log that shoots because i think it should. Woo magic..
There is no logical reason we don’t have access to Rifles or hammers, or maces, crossbows or offhand swords. Its just not in the game yet, and i fully expect the game to expand outwards with new weapons for each class, rather then upwards into higher levels.
So please stop trying to use logic, we are not all born with the ability and there is no need to strain yourself trying to understand simple things. Id avoid common sense, too, that’s a tough one for some i hear.
Id like to see Lightning Reflexes work like evasion does in direction. I hate when it throws me back. Would be nice if it just moved me the same as a dodge roll would, whatever direction i was moving.
Id like to see some basic stuff, first would be letting me MOVE siege weapons, as well as taking them apart again. Now this would be restricted to the person that places it, otherwise randoms could just drive off with your arrow cart, or take it apart. Being able to repair is quite ideal too.
Cannons would be cool, some of the other tech we see like the various cannons the Hylecks have, or the various Asura teck lighting weapons, Syvari vine mortars. I like the idea of racial themed weapons, not restricted to one race, but just different flavor. The Char tanks could be cool too. Id like to be able to place Mortars too.. the in game ones are often in poor places.
That said i cant say i much like the cannon upgrades on keeps either.. the weapons are just poorly placed. Cannons in easy to destroy places, Mortars on the outer wall where they can easily be destroyed AND they cant hit anything on the wall, making them useless for defending the keep itself usually. Would be nice if either these weapons were better placed, or removed all together and replaced with something else more passive, like the fire braziers one fellow mentioned, or a trench with spikes in it.. or something like that. Then change the Cannons and Mortars over to normal player built siege.
Someone above said road blocks, ya, blockades would be great, they would not be to strong obviously, but not to easy to destroy either. Ideally these would serve as a speed bump or a way to funnel the enemy into a tight space within a valley or something.
Another idea for player built walls is something of a outpost or fortress. What im picturing is a group setting up a series of blockades like a fort out in the field, with a few choke points to funnel people, where there could be a series of Ballista to take advantage of them being grouped.
…just make all the hit boxes the same size.. its really not hard to balance, is no race would be better at it then any other. Some weird random reasons lol..
How about they wont do it because the moon is blue and the post reply button will be replaced with the preview button.. then.. then goggle rise and become the most OP class because of the leprechauns!

What.. ?In Warhammer Online clipping was off unless there were enemies near, also when it was on, if you pressed up against the fellow for a few seconds, 6 or so, you would push through them. So no blocking friendlies from the markets or.. whatever weird kitten excuses your making up. Id really suggest people try a game with clipping before they scream nay! Blocking makes tactical PvP so much more fun then the waving action you see now. It also means that groups of a few can hold a strong position vs larger groups, such as door ways, valleys, keep doors.

While its a step in the right direction, 7 days? So.. every Friday night, i can transfer to the top server of the match up and enjoy stomping all week, only to change out again come Friday night? Wut?
I think a simple fix would be to let me keep my pet stowed tell i CALL IT.. in a siege my pet is always dead to AoE even if its standing beside me.
afaik they are used for Grawl theme weapons, likely an out of the way not well known vendor that sells the recipes. If they were going to do halloween crafted items, id expect you would have items for it that can be picked up once the event starts.
What would be nice is if they did something like the did with the 500 butter or soft wood, put X amount into the Forge, and get random Halloween item. Or something.
Whats wrong with every class having access to every weapon? LB warrior and LB ranger are very different, same with SB ranger to SB thief. I want to see my ranger use a Staff, maybe give it some nature type spells to go with it or perhaps a defensive type weapon with various blocks and such. Staff on warrior and he could use it to smack people would be fun too. GS on a Elementalist would look cool too.
No reason every class cant make use of every weapon, they just have to make each one do its own thing and fill a roll or style.
Also need Great Axes please.
Also note that if someone shoots at you from that range, you can just take a step to the left or right to avoid the shot. Dont even need to roll.
Hahaha ya i shot a Barrage off into a mob and i was running for my life rolling and healing trying to figure out what the hell was on me hitting me for a for a few hundred a few times per second.
Lightning Surge just has a tool tip error, its just out of date is all. Ive been trying to make sure everyone is aware that the ability is actually unlimited range with no LoS restrictions, all you need is to have a target. I expect they will update the tool tip in a patch coming up. Had a group of 5 or so HoD Ele taking out quite a few of the trebs i set up last night, figured i should take it upon myself to make sure every Elementalist on my server is aware of the tool tip error.
One thing id like to see is that when i put my pet away, he stays put away tell i call him. So hard to keep a pet up in WvW, as he dies a lot faster then i do.
Being able to switch which ability gets used would be nice, especially for the birds and swiftness, man that would be great. For now though id be happy with being able to set the f2 to auto cast.
Im sure we will see a pet overhaul in a few months. /hope
Pets blow at the start of most games, took wow what, 2 years or more to figure out pets need to scale? Took D3 about 6 months..
Give it some time, im sure we will see changes to the systems. Im hoping the Masters Bond thing changes from + stats on kill, to a solid +5% of your stats to pet. Then i might actually use it for wvw.
I think the difference between the banner to spirit thing is that banners cant be up 24/7 where as a spirit will always be there, unless killed. I still think they blow, but that was likely the thinking behind it.
So make due for now, pets and their ai are always something that gets fixed later.
I got like lvl 30 in the beta weekend..
Why not just spend a weekend doing some pve and get lvl 80, then go out to wvw and you will be more useful!
Well, im thinking we will be headed North to deal with the White Dragons. This will likely see the introduction of the Kodan as a player race, i hope!

Pretty sure its just a matter of having some patience, give them some time to figure out what they messed up. Or if you cant wait throw some more ram in and call it done.

Ive got something of the same issue, had a ticket with them and they wanted me to do some fresh driver install, which i did, which fixed nothing.
What i do know is that for the first week, week and a half, the game ran fine, i went from 1-80 no issues save the first day stuff. I have spent hours running around, killing things, loading areas, going from Dragon kill it Dragon kill. Then one night after a new build went in, i started crashing every 3rd or 4th transition, i crash 5-8 times a dragon fight, which by the time i crash 8 times the fight is over and i dont get credit. WvW is no chance, if i get near a siege im crashed, taking this time to get myself geared up, get the skins i want, get all my ranger pets, explore the map so on so forth. Just hope the issue is resolved by the time im done/bored with the general PvE stuff, otherwise ill have to find something else to play.
I keep looking at my PC thinking its my issue, but then i remind myself, the game ran FINE a week ago, and ive changed nothing at all on my end with no indication that anything is not working, that means its anet side.
I got further comments in my ticket, the sum of which is its a work in progress, please stand by.

You may be getting out of memory errors due to your 32-bit operating system not using your memory efficiently. Your Windows Vista 32-bit version is bottlenecking you and causing the game to crash or shut down.
ArenaNet knows of this issue and will be looking into it. Please keep an eye on the official forums (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech). Updates regarding these type of issues will be posted there as soon as they become available."
Im guessing its an issue with memory, as i have 4gb and i see you have 3gb, and an obvious answer would be to just shove more memory in there and you might not have the issue. This is not an option for me on a 32 bit system, and i cant be bothered to upgrade to a 64 bit and go buy more Ram, the OS + Ram would likely be 200$ give or take.. ill just wait and hope they get the issue sorted on their end, rather then putting the band aid on it on my end.
Elementalists have a bugged lightning ability with unlimited range that is not effected by line of sight. I believe it was noted in the last patch as having been fixed, but appears to be a work in progress still.
I went 30 into MM both for the power bonus, and because i wanted 2 master perks. Being Longbow focused, Eagle Eye is a must have, but the less noticed i think is Piercing Arrows which works quite wonderful in PvE or PvP. In PvE for example, your fighting a ranged mob, and a melee gets in your face. With Piercing Arrows you just ignore the melee, line him up with the ranged and keep hitting the ranged guy, melee mob will take 100% damage. In PvP, i believe players can block your shots, like an Elementalist standing behind an aware Warrior or Guardian, with Piercing Arrows there is no one you can hide behind. Im sure ive got a few kills because people thought they could escape into the crowd.
Id like to see more variety added to the skills, and i think we will with time. The ones that are there now are good, for special builds. As the game matures we will likely see new options that open new doors for interesting new builds, or better serving current builds.

As you can see, an even match up would be Storm, Eredon and Jade, but because Henge is there, it means they get to stomp on 2 of us, while the 4th server is stuck fighting the 5th and 6th.
Basically, if you want an even match up, find some way for Henge to play with themselves that Anet will accept while the rest of us have fun with one another.
