Yes, it´s supposed to be the last “sensible” temporary content launch as it´s yet another Festival.

Caudecus is a real problem for Jennah cause hes officially and publicly well liked. The people call him Caudecus the Wise. We know he is corrupt as hell but the majority of the population havent seen the evidence we have. He covers his tracks really well.

Jennah cant just kill him. Firstly if he is killed in such a way, or worse if an attempt fails to kill him, the first person everyone will suspect is Jennah and the Shining Blade. Secondly, killing him wont neccesarily solve the problem of corruption she is dealing with. Taking such a step and ignoring her own laws would just be asking to weaken her position.

I’m aware,‘WTF A DEATH STAR’ was my literal first impression of the core loading screen back when I saw it when playing my charr thief.
Anyways,that’s what I meant,Caudecus resembles Palpatine too much.The council would have faced a similar crisis if they found out that he was Darth Sidious before Anakin revealed him.I wonder what would happen if someone reveals Caudecus as the scumbag he is,and Jennah sends Anise and a couple of Shining Blades to arrest him,like Mace Windu was sent with Kit Fisto and the others.Hopefully,not what Lucas did…I kinda like Anise :/ But then again Anet probably forgot that they have Caudecus all ready to set in motion an epic story with all their festival affairs.

Ah mash up’s are cool.They’ve got kitten to please many people of different temperaments at the same time,like how One Piece has dinosaurs,zombies,pirates,giants,cyborgs,science,super powers etc and somehow makes perfect sense on top of it all.It’s one awesome anime.Gw2 probably wants to be the One Piece of mmorpgs

I was actually pleased with the personal story,except with that epic fail of a fight against Zhaitan who couldn’t even move his kitten off his perch until they blasted him off.Hell,the way Gw2 approached it was a nice break from the ‘pick up kill 65 dryads quest,hand it in to stationary npc,rinse and repeat for coins and exp’ rut that almost every other good mmorpg is stuck in.Wish the PS continues in the future though,with a much better plot involving more voice acting,hard battles,cool cutscenes and the epic action which generally accompanies an awesome storyline.

Well technology advances with the times,you can hardly expect them to continue using obsolete crap of 250 years ago in the modern world.We don’t use pinhole cameras when we can just pull out a smartphone and insta-snap now do we?

Yes, of course, pinholes become charged-coupled devices. Wagons become Motor homes. Rafts become luxury yachts. Why, then, in this age of seemingly-miraculous Asuran technology, do we still use cudgels, cleavers, axes and bulwarks? Why are so many forced to cart Dolyaks when there are skyships, teleportation pads, Asura Gates and hot-air balloons?

This doesn’t feel like technological advancement, It feels more like ‘Land of the Lost’ . We have ‘fire good’, chest-thumping cave people living right alongside dinosaurs, zombies, talking plants and Professors of Temporal Mechanics.

Why,it’s for a number of fairly obvious reasons.First off,it’s a fantasy mmo and moderation is required to please the masses; go all out steampunk and steampunk fans will rejoice while others will complain,and Anet knows their business.Then you said it yourself:Asuran technology.The Asura use it in abundance and cost effectively in Rata Suma and around(golems and such),but the other races seem to have their own racial means to use,I suspect it has a lot to do with cultural pride.And then again,the other races aren’t even into all the techno messes the Asura come up with,you know 90% of their experiments backfire.Had the others started mass use of that stuff in their cities,they would have to constantly rely on having Asura close at hand to repair and boss them around.Who would wanna lose their age old independence,especially in dignified and proud cultures like the charr and norn?

Just saying your brothers and sisters who fight beside you die left and right and return as risen you have to kill. Almost every act of living story is like that people sacrificing themselves so the pact can advance. it is surprising that the army even made it to Zhaitan at all. Just because you don’t empathize with the people dying around you doesn’t mean they arn’t dying in the thousands. The fight with Zhaitan was not without loss is what I am trying to point out. We didn’t even inflict damage on him, we shot of his wings which are the weakest point of dragon and destroyed mountain he was on so he took fall damage->and then supposedly died. Fall damage increases with mass. It was exactly like “How you trained your dragon” ended without the fire.

Oh I dunno about the fall damage part.Dragons ARE reptilian after all and magical enough to attempt world domination and defy physics.Toss a lizard down a staircase and it’ll probably just run off after giving you a dirty look; a story writer could come up with any number of ways to bring a dragon back.What we needed in the story was a surefire way of checking if the kittener was really dead.Point blank elimination check.Coup de grace.He surely is dead and would be super lame is we had to kill him again,buut doubts linger But Anet will make up for the anticlimax while fighting the rest of the dragons…hopefully xD

There was a section in the novel, if I recall correctly, that Rytlock launched Eir far into the air as impromptu transportation(as well as the other characters). I got the impression from that scene that he, being the Charr, was the only one with the strength to do that.

Though I think it depends on what their weapons/skills were.

And oddly, I came away from that scene thinking… “Well, the Charr are easily as strong as Norn. Take that, Eir.” Guess we all read into things what we want.

You could also take it as “Boo! Writers not giving women their proper dues! Eir didn’t do it because apparently it isn’t something the writer wanted a lady to do…”

I wonder if they made Eir a male and Rytlock a female, would the roles be reversed?

Nah,being hardcore/physically brash with no deeper thoughts about consequences is a Blood Legion charr thing.EirTheDude would probably have found some intellectual way involving wisdom and kitten to get them to where ever it was…but who knows

Through their alliance with the charr,the humans can gradually profit from the advanced charr technology.I bet there could be some creative Iron Legion guys out there who may be influenced by human intellectuals to bring their thinking outside racial war-themed inventions and develop some other cool techno kitten.Like droids that can be used against the dragon armies and more efficient charr-choppers for aerial warfare Maybe it’ll end up like the clone wars in Star Wars and the droids will be turned into Tyrian storm troopers by some Darth Charr and heeellooo Order 66.kitten no I hope there’s no Order 66,but you get the idea…things will totally heat up…plus we won’t have to deal with spam-F festivals every other kitten week.Also Caudecus is in a totally good position to become a Palpatine just sayin’ x_X

Weird question.It’s like searching for a deeper meaning in a pizza delivery O.o After all,if we delve into tiny details we might as well be wondering why the characters never take toilet breaks,never get tired after running marathons over any amount of distance,wield swords of ice for hours w/o freezing their fingers off and don’t get splatted like a bug when a hugeass dragon that weighs tons,steps on them.It’s just basic game mechanics I suppose.

If you’re for the warband themed names I s’pose you can always go with something that’s quaintly if not directly related to w/e legion you’re gonna join…like,Exodus Battleborn for Blood,Exodus Duskblade for Ash or Exodus Steelclaw for Iron.These are random examples I just came up with but if you think on it for a while you can come up with something unique and kitten Personally I found the generic warband names too mainstream and use a different themed name on my charr…cus everyone including the npc charr use creative warband names and I prefer being different,but taste differs.CHARRRRR RAWWWRRRRR!

After all the time spent and new organization they have and stuff,it’s probably a strong consensus that made Anet announce the fortnight Lw…but it seems like too much of good thing somehow,if it is a good thing.Personally I haven’t been playing gw2/been online for the last few weeks due to exams and so much seems to have happened.I feel like the world whistles on it’s merry way way too fast and the living story idea that makes gw2 special will become incredibly commonplace for gw2 players and nobody will look forward to the new releases with the same enthusiasm as they did before eg-Flame and Frost.Now that saga was cool.Earlier,I’d normally be like ‘DAMMIT I missed a Lw saga maan this really sucks’…but now I’d be like ‘I missed 4 Lw sagas?ehh no biggie new kitten is released next week anyway who cares about the lw sagas nowadays except 24/7ers *shrug’. Well I guess I’ll just hope all this Lw leads to fighting a new dragon at the end at least.Here’s my sticky :/

Nothing much imo.He probably just likes making pretty lights and wearing armor made of silk and linen instead of the generic heavy-duty steel.To hell with all the other charr screaming gaaaaaaaaaay at him,he can always watch Disney channel and do some quiet ballet by himself when he’s feeling down.Or he’s just a furry James Bond on a high-risk mission that doesn’t allow him to carry any personal items,hence he’s forced to learn the nature of the elements to light his cigar when in a pinch w/o resorting to an inconvenient flint stone.

Size isn’t a guarantee of strength,an Asura could probably kick both their kitten by using his head in the battle instead of just charging at each other,so the bigger is better theory doesn’t seem to fit in.Plus,the norn aren’t just built large and brawny,most of them are plain FAT with all that ale chugging…making them inherently slower,while the charr should obviously be faster…I mean,they’re big cat varieties on 2 feet after all and cats are like the most graceful mammals evaa If I was a charr,honestly I’d just view the fatass norn males as sources of good meat if I see one.The female norns I’d take back home with me for…research purposes.
