1) Skill name: Spirit; Randomly Transform the Mesmer to an illusion of any type ( iZerker, iMage, iDuelist.. ) with health of an illusion, but when dmged to 0, The mesmer get back to previous status with previous health ( similar to Necro ).

2) Skill Name: Misdirection ; an Aoe ground target spell that flip the movement direction of all enemies in circle. WASD = W left, A=Backward, S forward, D Right ( something random ) and mouse same ( left is right and right is left ). now this is mind manipulation.

Mesmers rely on utility the most?

Fully loaded with Food and sigil stack, staff more defense and sword to dps with 2 sword skills as defense. Rune trigger Might, Fury and Swiftness on Hit. Staff sigil is “of Purity” to remove conditions. Sword/Sword sigils are “of Purity” and " Nullification, remove boon". HP ~ 18,700.

Picture: Left hand sword/sword equipped. Right hand Staff equipped.
Last missing piece of my armor a second ascended earning berserk version + couple of infusions have not decided on them yet probably toughness and pow.

I tested the following IPs and all point to Austin:

1- IP address from in game (GW2) /ip command in chat window: 206.127.159.250
location Austin Texas USA.

all IP addresses shown below from Windows Task Manager->Performance->Resource Monitor ->Network Tab->Select Gw2.exe in Processes with network Activity -> TCP Connections List of all GW2.exe Remote Addresses

2- 206.127.159.250 ( same as from in game command )

3- 64.25.47.27 , location Austin Texas USA

4- 206.127.159.107 , location Austin Texas USA

I use http://www.iplocation.net/index.php to locate IP.

I understand the game connect to multiple servers ( log in server , chat server, Game it self…etc).

but non of all active connections is in Germany.

Last year, I have tested locations and found a German IP address but not any more!!!!!

Can some test and verify the location of the servers.

Oh, play around with first server connection in WTFast to find a route that has no problem to EU servers.

Hey Wolfgang,

Which country you log in from?
if you using WTFast :
1- Choose “sort server by location” and connect to fastest.
if you have the advacne copy:
2- endable chain and connect to one of Germany servers for the chain.
3- Disable Nagle Algorithm
It works for me.

Also, I have check the location of the IP from the game /ip command and from windows “Task manager→Performance→Network” and all of them point to Austin.
I had done this test before and I got both USA and Germany, which meant loging server and game server are in different place ( maybe), but now no Germany!!!!!

I am assuming you are complaining about PvE downed state, In which I suggest you do not expect the mobs to kill your clone and ignore you .

as for the thief downed state, who care. I blink to finish them, but lately I do not even bother just couple of phantasms and enjoy the show.

Just have fun while playing the above link build.

Traits: 20-20-15-0-15
Abilities: Heal……..Blink, Decoy, Arcane Thievery…… Mass invisibility
Sigil: 5% dmg Force
Runes: Vampirism all 6 of them
jwl: of solider ( power
toughness+ vitality )
weapons: sword/sword and GS. sword/sword is your main.

Traits details:

Domination: Rending Shatter – Greatsword Training
Dueling: Blade Training – Deceptive Evasion
Chaos: Master Manipulation
Inspiration: “nothing this tree is useless to me” " yes I did test it many times"
Illusions: Confusing Cry

note: you can change the above traits to increase Mind Wrack dmg, I would suggest avoiding buffing phantasms as you will need to shatter them for defense and weakening your opponent defense

Just make sure you spend 5 trait points in Illusions line early on for the -20% illusions cd.

GS + sword / (pistol,sword) are great for PvE, start building your power to 20 point in Domination (Empowered Illusions, Greatsword Training).
When pulling open with Mirror blade then iZerker.

Do not waste points in Inspiration or Chaos as you level.
Illusions tree is main shatter trait, I’d suggest fully mastering the class before going full shatter.

Different builds I came across ( by name, do search please )

1- Berserker + mantra power build: my main dungeon build full power, perc, +% crit, +3%_Each_Active_ill and +12% dmg from mantra ( disadvantage: glass cannon, mistakes can kill you, not much to do but to spam illusion and dps, you lose your utilities for mantras). change the mantra ( abilities n Traits ) if the situation requires, do not be a hostage to the 12% increased dmg.

2- “Shatter Cat” ( search for Osicat guide and wonderful videos ). Need to master mesmer and have good knowledge about your opponent. This is pure mesmer build imo.

3- Healer mantra ( experiment with it, I see it pointless )

4- Stealth ( sounds interesting, never experimented this build, but I am assuming 30 chaos and 20 Dueling and 20 Illusions is a must) mostly stealth while generating illusion and shattering them. seems like a build to live longer kill less build.

5- “Tanky” sword/sword build : sPvP build ( power + toughness + vital ) spend 20 in Dueling, 15 Chaos , 0 Inspiration and the rest is your choice. add Vampirism runes for the final mist form, slot blink and Decoy in abilities and the third experiement with “Signet of inspiration” “Arcane Thievery” and " Feedback" . do not forget about your shattering skills especially F4
warring you have to be relaxed to enjoy this build not recommended for keyboard “mashers”.

I started with staff then switched to GS, and I think its well balanced. I would love the mind stab change, but only a bit larger Area.

Ownership and Cost:
-Cost is define by weekly rent.
- Initial roll-out week/few weeks; eligible guilds bid for the space with rent offer. The offer has to be backed by 5 weeks rent deposit, registration fees. If guild does not win a space they lose registration fees and 1 week rent. This can be run in different auction format
- Winner of first round allocation start paying rent. if a payment is missed guild loses the space and deposit. or to account for circumstances, first payment missed has a penalty of double rent, 2nd you get evicted and deposit taken.
- Rent is paid on weekly basis by any guild member during the weekend only, no advanced payment of rent allowed. This to ensure activeness and allow other guild to compete on acquiring the space.
-If a new guild wants the space, they can put a rental offer higher than current rent. This new guild will have to deposit 5 weeks rental and pay registration fees when offer is made.
- new offers are made during the first weekend of each month only.
- new guilds can bid against each other during this weekend for a single space.
-new guild that make a bid and loses registration fee ( or loses 25% of offer 5 weeks deposit)
-The current owner guild can counter offer within 1 weeks following the “Offers weekend”. if guild does not counter offer, new guild take the space and current guild gets deposit back. IF current guild make a counter offer, they start paying new rent immediately and have to increase the deposit to a new level. Current guild does not need to participate in auction but can counter at the end and lock the space for a month.
- Guild allowed only to an make an offer or bid for a single location.
-For a guild with a quarter and interested in another better/bigger quarter, can make a bid for newer location. If this guild WIN NEW LOCATION they evacuate their current location, if someone has bid for current then all deposit refunded, if no one bid for current location then quarter becomes empty and moving out guild loses deposit.
- For a guild bidding for an upgraded location and lose, if no one bid for their location they remain in their current location. If someone made a bid and guild did not counter then they lose their current location. If counter offer made then guild keep location with new rent. Guild wanting to upgrade location should always make counter offer.

Monthly Competition:
- During the week, all players can visit and vote ( within the game ) for best guild quarter/hall.
-guild members can not vote for them selves.
- each player has one vote.
-a player can switch their vote from a guild to another.
-score board is shown in LA of current leading winner.
-end of month top 3 guild get their banners displayed in LA center.
- winners get reward ( points, karma, glory, furniture, art, gold … etc)

Impact on game:
- New crafting interest.
- Guild ownership of space for non pvp guilds.
- social and guild oriented play style encouraged
- Game expansion in the right direction not the gear treadmill.

Sorry for the long post please bear with my English and grammar.

IDEA:
Allow Eligible Guilds to purchase a quarter/big_room to display Art work (paintings, statues or weapons) that represents guild status and achievement. Also allow guilds be creative in decorating their quarters with furniture and accessories.

Define Eligible Guild:
- First define Established guild by number of representatives, guild score/achievements.
- Guild becomes Eligible after maintaining status established for certain time period 2-4 weeks.
-Guild can lose status eligible if criteria lost for 2-4 weeks.
-Guild owning/renting a place and loses eligibility get immediate eviction.

Structure and Location:
-Create an Area in LA or Portal from LA, and call it “Guild Quarters” or “Guild Halls”.
- This area will host the guild quarters, which guilds can rent.
-Guilds will incur a weekly cost of ownership enough for guild to remain active or loses the space. The cost will vary depending on demand ( read point under ownership and cost)
-Space/quarters are limited, like 25 quarters, this is important to show prestige and guild status.
-quarters will have different sizes/shapes and floors. bigger and better will have more competition to be acquire and value will be reflected in the cost of ownership ( see Ownership and cost below).
- Add incentive for players to visit these areas, i.e. special mats vendors ( for new art economy discussed below)

Art and Furniture Economy:
-Create an Art and furniture Economy
-Art traded only in the “Guild Quarters” area, like guild vendors or specialized Trading Post by Black Lion.
- Guild/player can acquire art and place them in their quarter ( like decorations )
-Art and furniture can be acquired through events, contests, adventure, crafting.
-Different art from different regions of the world. Polar Bear skin from Norn area, Crystals from Asuran…. Glasses and dishes from Cooking Crafter, Tables and chairs from craftsman crafter…etc.
-Art and furniture range from common to rare.

This is the result of inherited lag in online games. You always few milliseconds behind the server. The server can not track your actions continuously even your movement, and your game client is built to show smooth movement/actions not to be continuously waiting for server feedback, I am saying continuously here meaning every foot step is to be confirmed by the server.
Now, if you have above normal lag, this behavior is magnified. Check your game latency from Task Manager → Performance → Network ; and see GW2.exe latency.

Could you explain how this is currently used for an advantage?
I fell down couple of times and swam in the under the map ocean, was fun the first time but after that, Map→Way Point → Click /face showing annoyance to the bug.

Now if people can do this intentionally any where, then i see this WvW scenario:

1- Mesmer ’A" creates portal and fall under map, then portal the zerg.
2- zerg move under the map.
3- mesmer “B” move on the group above the zerg.
4- Mesmer ’B" can summon the zerg any time with portal and fall below map.
5- Finish kill or what ever, then Mesmer “A” who came out with the zerg take the zerg under map again.

I do not see the real advantage here AND this is possible only and only if falling down can be done any time. and assuming you are talking about the mesmer staff ability that can throw you anywhere.

Ranger Quivers.

I will support this suggestion for ranger. The quivers mentioned above does not give ranger a distinct style, they are just backpack items.
Now; 2nd weapon can hold quiver is great idea and one or a combination of the below can be implemented:

First the trade off is:
1-Ranger loses 2nd set of weapon

The benefits:
2- Quiver could add stat
3- Quiver could add range for 1 or for 2-5 skills but not both, slight range increase.
4- Quiver reduces CD for rabid shooting skills of long bow and 3 arrows skill for short bow.

Or give ranger trapping weapon ( what ever that is ) like engineer mines. Lets call it wilderness survival kit or something, this weapon only lay traps on ground where ranger stands. what comes to mind are the swamps traps in fractal of the mist dungeon.

Since we are on the ranger wish list; how about an abilities to summon both pets for 60 sec, call it " Unleash". side note the elite ability Hounds of Balthazar should be renamed Who Let The Dogs Out and song beat should play when activated

I played ranger to 80, then leveled a mesmer to 80 with full exotic. mesmer is my main and will never go back to ranger. so i am not biased and I know ranger playing style.

I have wanted an Elite mantra for the 4% increased dmg, regardless of the active bonus. maybe this is not huge benefit vs Time Wrap, but an option.
Now I read your post and I would vote for 2 charges of
Mantra of Deception : create a downed clone while stealth for 2-4 sec, any movement breaks stealth, but no dmg when killed/(stick with pole), instead the clone roll with a laugh when a finishing move is performed
added confusion status to finisher would be great

Hi all,

Can I get some clarification on the meaning of tag and full credit?

I sometimes do dynamic events in Orr and I have no issues of doing my share of dps.
if the target is single elite/champ that sure big dps for me.
if tons of small fry-mobs, just do not target any and spam GW spatial surge , mirror blade and iBreserker ( when available and see lots of mobs in the area.

if credit means “Gold” rating rather than silver or bronze then I rarely get other than gold.

My build is mantara with trait 30,30,0,0,10 and full CoF Precision+crit geasr upgraded jewel “breserker, pow prec and crit” and +5% sigil.

If missunderstood the debate or “I am thiunking I getting doing great” then please enlighten me
