Only played spellbreaker.
8.5/10 – There is alot here I like, the animations, the counter, the spell effects. However daggers felt a bit “weak” but I do believe the over all spec is actually suppose to be more defensive then offensive.
Over-all I liked it and I am sure my score will change once I have more time with it.
I love how these topics always end up the same way, debating about something that really is completely off topic yet some how related.
Design a giant golem from a naturally harvested bookah based organic fruit equiped with the latest Asura alpha-beta-protonic hyper-accelerated matrix cannons. Powered by lay-line inverted mana-rayed synthesized batteries with hydroponic base quantum converters…..
I’d much rather them currently allow you to dye your mount in more then just one place….
But skins, Doylak, large wolfs (not made of sand), Bugs, I mean some of those bugs in game could fit for the manta ray.
Personally, I feel like Berserker bursts make sense only counting for 1 bar. It kinda feels like berserker is the all in juggernaut, become super strong for a short time then tire out. Entering Berserker mode should grant a big barrier (25% of your hp, dead or alive grants another barrier if it triggers in addition to healing) and the fury and quickness should last longer, if not pulse throughout the mode. Or something, i dunno, a straight damage boost would be dangerous.
Core warrior is more about a practiced soldier, disciplined, confident, able to use any weapon to suit the job. War is his job, which means extended sequences of battles should be his forte thanks to his strength and endurance.
Spellbreaker needs to break more spells, it is currently very limiting as to which weapons synergize (aka hammer and mace) with the theme (locking down enemy magic). Stripping boons regularly is difficult (you must not miss any hammer or mace bursts), and the utilities have long cooldowns for their effect.
Good to know I was hopping to go Hammer/dagger dagger, hammer was always my favorite warrior weapon. Now if only they speed up those telegraphs just a weee bit. hehe
I have been havinkittenount of moderate success with Hammer/rifle recently in pvp. Not sure if people just forgot warriors can use hammers and rifles or people just haven’t seen it for so long they forgot how to counter it haha.
Play what you want and don’t worry what others think, because people “most” people don’t really think much outside of their own adventures.
Including the cape?

Humans are boring, and not unique at all. Charr’s look kitten, Slyvari can look elegant in heavy armor. Norn are pretty cool, but when it comes down to it they are just big/tall humans.
But my favorite is Asura, nothing like wrecking face at four feet tall.

I am not going to lie, recently this type of treatment as made me extremely salty to almost everyone. Anytime I down a Dragon Hunter or Specifically a Rev. I take great pride in pouring salt into their wounds.
This has also made me rather aggressive to them, which is uncalled for…but eh I need some where to focus my anger. Might as well be towards them. xD
I say nay, they should have not even bothered. While they say it was something the Marketing team came up with, I feel that money could have gone to oh I dunno.
Hire more modelers to model armor that drops in HoT
Hire more coders to balance the classes
Hire more people to focus on fixing WvW
I dunno it just gives me a bitter taste in my mouth.
All I want for Christmas is for Anet to balance warriors.
Well I appreciate everyones support and viewpoint. It seems Anet “fixed” and I use the term lightly the Plasma Great Sword.
They took the easy way out and changed the icon – while I am disappointed, I will still keep my sword hehe. See attached for the “fix” Anet won this battle.

I keep looking on this topic to see if there been any development only to be sadden more. =p
I was really really hoping for some sales, and returns of older skins.
Namely Braham’s Mace, Braham’s Shield and Caithe’s dagger.
Let’s say I was one of the people who had already bought that Greatsword because I liked the look, and I don’t like the new look. How are you going to make it right with me?
First off things get changed on a regular basis in this game. Regardless of what some may or may not want.
Good examples, Elementalist Fire Ball Change, The Dreamer Horse Sound, Berserker Warrior Spec. etc etc. You do not see Anet dishing out refunds, to everyone who didn’t like something they changed. Also before you say yes people used money and or time in each of these cases.
Second, I would argue it would improve the sword, there for increase the value of said sword and the desire of wanting it, especially since there have been several post about how some of the plasma weapons seem very lacking.
Third I am going to say my suggestion is exactly that. A suggestion if anet agrees with me cool, if not well I’ll live with it I like the weapon either way. I just feel it would be even better looking with my above change.
I get were you coming from I do, but I don’t agree with you solely based off what I’ve seen through my three years of playing GW2, Most likely it will not be changed. But I hope it does.
Now that this is settled, honest opinion do you like the “fixed” version or the “original” better?
It’s too late for redesigns after something like this has come out. People who bought it, bought it because they liked the way it looked. Changing the look after release should only be done because there’s a problem as it invalidates the prior purchases.
I disagree, In fact stated on Reddit before, I believe the Plasma Great Sword should actually look similar to the Plasma shield.

The thing is Kyeloon no one really has “proof” it drops from the treasure mushrooms.
It is a bit silly that it will probably take longer and more work to get an “invisible” skin then it would to get a legendary.
Its pretty mean on Anets part if you ask me.
Reading through this post I am really kind of surprised
I am hoping it something that people just haven’t discovered yet, and it isn’t some rare drop. Since I would love this on my Asura characters.
While I agree Anet should have ways to keep us playing, I find it extremely hard to believe that this is one of them as someone suggested earlier in the thread.
Anet “should” add a feature to hide your shoes, they “should” not make it a gem store purchase, they “should” not make it a rare drop.
I freely buy all kinds of things on the gem store every so often with real cash, so I feel that they could and should throw us a bone every now and then.
When a feature that has been asked for, and asked for is finally “answered” and this is their solution then it does in fact feel like they are trolling us.
ANET, hey don’t be Jerks just give us the hide feet feature please.
Sword for bleeds, Mace when speced for bleed and confusion.
I can back this build, I run a very similar build.
Accept I do Mace/Torch, Sword/Shield and a little more focus on Condi. Running Carrion armor and weapons.
Mace works reaaaally well against most people. The key is headbutt, and mace zerker burst.
Its not overpowered, but well balance. The only thing that lacks is warrior sprint speed. Out of everything I miss fast hands isn’kitten Its the run speed.
But I make up for it sort with bull’s charge, sundering leap and sword savage leap.
Give it a shot, at first mace feels sluggish but zerking out with itmakes its rather formidable weapon.
I’ve found recently dropping discipline has not been as painful as I would have thought, and have done pretty well with zerker, strength and defense build.
Running Mace/Shield, Sword/Torch but a main focus on Mace, stuns and knock downs. Throws alot of people off.
However I feel the biggest issue as a warrior, is not really our adrenaline decay, or our condi removing or always having access to fast hands but our ability to “stick” to targets. While improvements to adrenaline decay, having fast hands as baseline and improvements to condi removing would “help” warriors I don’t think it is the main issue.
Attacking almost any class aside for maybe Necro you will see everyone has a wide range of instant mobility, in the forms of teleports, jump backs etc. This is why I think I’ve had some pretty decent success in pvp using mace and shield. Keep people stunned and rooted in place allows warriors to apply their dps.
Zerker has wonderful dps, but applying it to someone who is all over the place and you quickly see how it is dependent on the target always being in range to get full benefits and that fact goes for almost “all” warrior weapon skills besides mace and hammer.
So I am basically wondering is burn duration better then 5%damage and 5% condi damage?
I don’t get people dislike for water combat. I love it.
While I agree it might be nicer just to have your normal abilities.
But there are some games that avoid water all together and I really hate that…
Small change I’d personally like to see, can we make Impact strike use the finisher we have selected?
Also, been testing DD pretty extensively over the last two days. My biggest issue is DD is not built for Stealth not one bit, In fact I find myself running builds more with no stealth at all.
I am literally leaving out the stealth opener. Picking up Shadow Arts feels like a huge waste compared to using other trait lines That being said does anyone else feel like equipping DD should also increase our base hp and armor?
Anyone else feeling Bounding dodge is way to short of distance?
Also can we please make vault longer?
I’d much rather them just forget stealth all together and make us more mobile fighters. Similar to how assassins worked in the original guildwars.
One thing I’d like to see on core weapon sets is Cloak and Dagger actually cloaking even if you miss… This would make off hand dagger that much more comparable with pistol off hand.
While I feel this is moving in the right direction. I don’t feel it is moving fast enough.
As people stated above.
Animations on the staff skills need improvement in looks (I.E More fluid and “new”), and speed.
Vault animation needs to execute quicker. As in less air time it is extremely easy to spot and move out of the way before you even can land it.
I am glad your looking into the dodges they are very sticky and clunky feeling in their current state.
I suppose we can only wait and see. Would be nice for them to come up with some better animations.
But lets not forget the Revenant staff pretty much has nearly the same thing.
The biggest animation that bugs me on both thief staff and Rev is the spinning in mid air using force powers. Just seems silly….
Well on the opposite end.
I actually rolled a thief and recently got her to 80. I have really enjoy her even in structured pvp I do decent enough. Keep in mind I am only wolf rank and I normally main a warrior.
While I do agree there are some things that can be improved on – mainly thief squishiness, I don’t feel the class is that bad in comparison to others and look forward to staff.
So I am curious who among us will be dropping Bezerker(gear) when going with the new elite spec.
I was thinking of picking up carrion or rampage set to benefit the burning and conditions.
What are your guys thoughts?
I think its a brilliant way of getting test done, since it is testing in live.
You can see how the new specs and build stack up with the current and the developers can adjust accordingly.
Much rather them get this data now.
I think it looks best on Asura and Char.
But as people stated above its a bit boxy and oversized on the other races.
While I love much of the armor and weapons in this game, I’d like to see them branch out from the European and East Asian inspired styled armors and weapons. Do sorta of more Middle Eastern and Africa inspired outfits, armor and weapons.
I suppose in Tyria this would be Elona styled hehe.

I use to really enjoy the abc music system in LotRo, the ability to sync up was great.
Also lets add bag-pipes on that list because…the desire to see an Asura run around with a bagpipe is needed.
Clock tower wasn’t so bad, nor was wonderland.
However for some reason I can never do the aether ship one with the spinning gears and aether ship. Dunno why…

Can we get musical instruments to be added to an account wide tab were you click them on any character and equipped them?
Currently having to put them in the bank to transfer them between characters is a bit annoying.
Also is it possible to make the harp still playable while you move like the other instruments?
I very much would love to see warriors get a staff and have it very much quarterstaff/bo staff style of fighting.
However I heard Revenant is getting melee staff, so I’d suggest warriors get daggers
My suggestion is either.
Pick 1) Staff (duh)
Pick 2) Dagger offhand or both
Pick 3) Torch
I really really hope we don’t get pistol because well that just meeh.
