Is the missing Shadow Dye Kit from the celebratory dye on purpose or left off by accident? Should I hold off using it in case they fix it later?
Also, is there any option to get Celestial dye out of the bday dye? I don’t think it was in any of the previous kits…
Shadows weren’t included bc they are currently still available.
Celestial isn’t because it was never a gemstore dye sorry Tanith
The part about shadow not being included because it’s still available doesn’t make sense. There are other dyes (sorry, on my phone so can’t give you the specific dyes, but just saw them last night) that are still available in the gem shop that are in the list of choices.

I can’t believe this issue still exists. It is very annoying that as any ranged class, Ele, Ranger or even Engi with a mortor which shoot upward in an arc, I can not LOS the ground of invaders, yet they can AOE the top of the wall all day long.
As has been stated, castles and towers should be easier to defend than they are to attack. I think back to the days of DAoC, sieges were fun because they were a challenge and when you took a tower or castle it was actually an accomplishment. Especially the upgraded structures, because not only did they have reinforced walls and gates, more guards, etc., but they also actually got taller as the levels upgraded.
As it stands, WvW for me is very frustrating and very lackluster, to the point of ruining the game, when trying to defend.
I have often wished they would make the night time darker and last as long as the day cycle.
My favorite gaming experiences came in DAoC running around at night in RvR and either ambushing or being ambushed by some enemy wearing black dyed armor that you couldn’t see until you were right on top of them.
I still remember a night where I was killed by an Albion Scout (i think that was their archer class) and never even saw him until I was dead! Good times and we’ll played by that player!
Still seemingly broken tonight, July 19.
With the new Mega Servers, how do you find the populated servers for world bosses?
I am missing a couple achievements to complete a few of the world bosses and can never find a server with enough people on it to complete the achievements I need, let alone the events.
One of the items I whole heartily agree on in Bugnutin.1957’s “New games in 2014. can GW2 keep up?” thread was the comment:
“- Living story was good, but if you miss one episode you feel disconnected already. how about an ability to replay the lost episode with reduce reward?”
I (like a lot of others I’m sure) work a lot of long hour shifts with insane deadlines, especially during our busy times, so I have and will to continue to miss a lot of the living story events.
I’d love to see Anet implement this, make it like an instanced personal story after the fact type of thing, just so I can experience the event and get the achievements with a possibility to get any of the minis, recipes, skins, etc. (nothing game changing) that I may have missed.
Great input, Tai, I like your ideas.
I work, a lot and usually long hours, so during my lunch break I love to ‘plan’ for the little time to play when I get home and to see what is happening in the game while I am here.
I know the mobile app was cancelled, which was unfortunate.
I am curious if there has been any talk of creating a site with the ability for us to log in and see our characters (gear, achievements, etc.) similar to… dare I say it the WOW armory or EQ2 players web sites?
I’d love to see that in combination with something like the Camelot Herald that Dark Age of Camelot had back in the day, where you could see real time WvW (RvR back in DAoC) updates of the maps, player rankings, etc.
It would be nice IF they rebuild it to use it as a huge player experience to rebuild it using crafting. EQ2 had some “world” events that required the community to help build griffon towers for new flight paths. The events were per server, so if your server didn’t participate, you didn’t have those flight paths. That experience still sticks with me today… at the end of the event, if you participated, you received a small statue of a replica tower to place in your house!
They could add new crafting recipes for building items, for example woodworking items to huntsman/artificer, blacksmith/metal items for armor/weaponsmith, furniture/accessories for leatherworkers or tailors. They could even introduce new tradeskills, if Anet felt so brave to take it on – Architect to make blueprints, Carpenters, Masons.
It could also be a great way to introduce Player Housing/Guild Halls into the game as instances off of the main “hub” city of the game… one can hope, right?!?!
Any ideas of how to get the Laurel hint checked off?
I am missing that one, I have multiple Laurels and even purchased things with them, but didn’t get credit for the hint. With the new wallet system, I’m not sure if I can still get the hint. =/
My wife and I met members from LaZy during the BWE events. We joined the community, were welcomed with open arms and have made many friends since the game’s release.
The community is wonderful and has something for everyone, from a casual PVE player like my wife, to my love for PVE dungeon runs and WvW.
With members from around the world, there is always someone on to group with and/or something to get into.
