Atleast its possible to actually get these seeds – the flax fiber on the other hand for the scribe trade skill is near impossible to get through RNG it seems :s – I have harvest flax every day on 5 characters each day since release, and so far i’ve only recieved 2 flax fibers, where as you need about 150 flax fibers to make a rope, or 200 for a bag :/
And seeds prices are luckily also on their way down.
As the title states, got a bunch of influence letters from anet, I then used them, where as my guild had 23K influence, a few minutes later, we were 11K influence short, where no influence had been spent at all.
So instead of 23K we now only got 12K :/
It actually kind of sucks – Im using a glint/jalis combo – I got NO utility skills at all under water :S
To me it just seems way off, since you need about 150 flax fiber to make 1 Cotten Rope, or something along those lines :/
So I know that you have a chance of getting flax fiber from Flax harvesting nodes – But it seems so rare, even if its a common material.
Is there some tricky way to get these, because of all the flax ive harvested, and I have harvested a lot, I have only recieved 2 flax fibers so far – where I think I’ve harvested over 600 seeds. o.O
I really like the revenant, except for the extreme lack of costumization when it comes to skills.
Yeha we can both change weapons and switch stances, but you’re always stuck with the same utility skills on every single stance there is – overall there seem to be a lot less utility skills overall for the revenant as well (I might be wrong on this) than any other profession ?
We were 8 people and certainly managed to claim our guild :/
Not sure why you can’t seem to do it, have you tried focusing on several different mobs at the same time, like lets say, you have 1 group attack the shielding mobs, and then have another group focus on all the adds ?
Thats what we did, we honostly had the most trouble with the end boss – but even so still managed to do it on our first try.
Diddent they implement this ?
Im trying to set up a few squads, but I don’t get that UI which is both displayed in the enhanced UI blog, as well as what we tested :/ ?
Anyone else getting this ?
GW2 is the opposite of GW1, to explain:
GW1 necro’s – one of the most powerful forces on the battlefield
GW2 necro’s – not welcome anywhere and underpowered in every wayGW1 warriors – pretty much useless
GW2 warriors – one of the most powerful forces on the battlefieldit’s as if Anet wanted to flip all of the professions to make the less popular ones more useful but at the same time make all the good one useless.
I wouldn’t say that – I saw plenty of useful warriors – not only that, they were amazing at soloing.
Plus they were used a lot in GvG
I can’t speak for Everquest. But, most players, like most populations, don’t consider the costs of subsidizing goods and services.
This would not be an issue if those who are being forced to subsidize others were given value for their money.
The veteran character slot is an example of providing value to the veteran. But, I think it is a very small value. I’d like to see some more value. Anet and I disagree on the value of the veteran character slot. I’d like to see some gems included in the deal for the veteran player purchasing the standard edition.
In short, I want to see more value for my subsidizing new players.
Problem with the character slot in my case is that I already got a slot for every single class there is, now we’re getting two character slots, and only one new class, so im setting here with a character slot I can’t use for anything, atleast not that I know of :s
I had all my skills/traits unlocked on my Mesmer and they were still unlocked and hero points sitting in reserve after the last patch.
And also, as I have been leveling up alts, certain levels unlock hero points in bulk. I noticed in rewards for a certain level that I earned 17 hero points as one of the rewards of that level.
I hear what you say when you want to unlock certain things and not others and you don’t want to have to spend all the hero points to do it, but they give us an abundance of hero points to unlock with over and above the hero points you earn on each map.
At least for me, this is not an issue, hasn’t been an issue. I haven’t noticed that my character has lost anything.
Previously (before the patch), Anet told players that with the revamp, they’ll only be able to unlock ~85% of the skills+traits (@lv80 without challenges done). They’ve since revised that idea based on the community’s feedback. Therefore this topic isn’t an issue anymore because A-Net made it 100% unlock for all skills+traits once the character is lv80.
Any spare hero points would still be useful/needed when the expansion releases since that’ll include a new patch of skills and new trait line.
Am I to understand that everything should still be unlocked, even after the patch ?
Because I just logged in today to find that the majority of my skills were locked, and had to use the majority of my hero points to unlock them again :/ ?
It might be annoying to do it every time, but there’s a command to sheathe/unsheathe your weapons without using any skills.
Only problem here is that your character will sheathe its weapons after a set amount of time, and then having to do it again, even if you havent been in combat
Well, there is a bit of possible foreshadowing if you completed personal story and arah story. There's a tengu smith at the Fort Trinity party instance that tells you that the tengu may well become more active in global affairs once he tells his people about the pact's victory.
He needs to get his featherly butt out there and start telling his people then ! :p
The event where you need to coat yourself is certainly still bugged :/ Plus those events which are normally there already seem to just flat out stop during an escort ?
I barely get any normal exotic drops even, I feel like just giving up ever getting a precursor drop as it is :s
I honostly don’t think ive had a exotic drop for me a month or so.
I find it funny that the ESRB rating is T for teen when it should be E for everyone. The writing is so childish, that I’ve seen saturday morning cartoons with a better plot line.
Ugh! This! So much this. I was literally talking to my guildies today about how childish the game feels in comparison to GW1. We don’t even have a real fleshed out enemy in this game. I mean we have the elder dragon, but they literally get no character development themselves at all. They woke up, destroyed everything, and now what? What do they want? Idk maybe that’s clear in the lore somewhere, but the storyline doesn’t make it clear other than that they like to destroy things and we need to kill them.
At least GW1 had good villains—Varesh, who turned to Abaddon to try and benefit her nation. Shiro- who wanted revenge from Cantha. The Lich- he wanted to complete the flameseeker prophecies and unleash the titans. All these villains have strong back stories as well- the elder dragons literally just woke up and were like “gonna go wreck tyria now kbye”
I know I’m ranting here but one last thing. The way the storyline is laid out is so completely linear. From the moment you make your character you basically know you’re gonna kill zhaitan. In prophecies, you:
1. Try to save ascalon
2. Realize this is futile and get refugees to LA
3. Help the white mantle against the undead
4. Help the white mantle against the shining blaed
5. PLOT TWIST white mantle are evil
6. Help the shining blade
7. * My memory gets fuzzy after this point* There’s a traitor and you have to become ascended bc you’re the chosen.
8. Free evennia and kill markis
9. Help the dwarves defeat the stone summit to gain them as allies
10. KIll your ally vizier khilbron who PLOT TWIST was the Lichsee how engaging that storyline is compared to one where you’re just on a quest to kill a dragon? I REALLY want to like this game more. That’s why I’ve stuck around this long. But please anet make your characters more engaging. Also I hate logan (but that’s just personal :P)
The prophecies campaign litterally had the best story of all the guild wars games imo.
Absolutely adored and love the story of the prophecies, which also seemed to be the longest of them all if im not mistaken.See I had issues with the Prophecies story. I thought my character was too stupid. He accepted the White Mantle, when I thought them to be untrustworthy. He was happy to give the scepter of orr over to a guy I didn’t trust at all. I liked neither the southern shiverpeake missions nor the maguuma missions.
There was a great moment toward the end with a plot twist, but over all, it was a relatively predictable standard fantasy story.
Rurik was so cliche it wasn’t funny.
Could be because I was 17 at the time when the game came out that I didden’t think of it that way, but I certainly felt immersed, and otherwise was pulled in to the story.
Nice, I have been hoping they expand on the Bria storyline. :x
she is a very interesting character, apparently she is the only foefire ghost who can appear as a fleshed out human and the only one with free will!
The detail in there makes you wonder why you aren’t actually allowed inside no ?
yeah! i was expecting it to just be hollow!
maybe at one point they planned for something else,
like maybe you go inside to rescue cubs
Yeah I would have as well actually.
And now that I think about it, since Bria is the only foefire ghost who has free will – that actually does sort of makes the last episode with all that Foefire stuff and the flaming sword plus the mists, hint that her story will be developed more :o

I remember back when I started playing GW1, it was a week after it had released I believe – and when I then first encountered the charr, these cat like people were extremely ferocious, and I honostly “feared” them.
One of the things that I remember the best spoiler alert was when King Adelbern banish Rurik.
I found the writing of the prophecies to be superb, the character development of Rurik was amazing as well – I was in shock (sort of :P) when he was killed in the shiverpeaks – only to find that you had to fight him at the end of the story because the lich had reanimated him; where these two parts were really far apart in the story from one another so you wouldn’t expect this to happen at all, in any way.

The detail in there makes you wonder why you aren’t actually allowed inside no ?
in mmo games characters need PROGRESS – thats most important thing ever
but in gw2 they total ignore this and stop at lvl 80all other content they have or have addet since release in this game to play after lvl 80 would be called in other games “Filler Content”
and cause someone wrote it^^ – no, story is no content
best in gw2 is the lvling from 1-80 and to equip the character + all traits and after this there is nothing
thats why i have 31 characterslots iwth over 20 lvl 80 chars – playing a characte on lvl 80 in this game is just boring
and to bring some progress in this game they could add:
- more infusions like this + 1 agony infusions with + 1 power, + 1 condi, + 1 critchance … and so on and let player decide how much work they wanna put in (2x+ 1 infusion gives 1x + 2)
- the new back item is something alot people has fun to work for so bring with this new armor or weapon skins and add this to content like Liadri
I tend to agree with this somewhat – I mean progression doesn’t have to be gear only, they do have story progression through the living story, but, when you’ve done that then you got nothing to do really.
In GW1 you had skill hunting, such as capturing elite skills, which imo is something I absolutely loved, and certianly served for progression, through more diversity when it came to builds and what not.
I think thats what they have been trying to do with traits instead, though I personally think it should be tied to skills, and not traits really :/
I was actually only plauge by gold sellers at the release of the game, I haven’t recieved a single a mail ever since.
There seems to be some sort of thing that they are doing right, as to me they are non-existant, that is not to say that they aren’t here, but they are certainly taking steps towards removing and otherwise locking these accounts (they are most likely other players stolen accounts as well)
Not sure whether or not you are being litterally spammed by these people, but as long as you report these accounts then rest assured that steps are certainly also going to be taken towards them.
And you will most likely, like me also (hopefully anyway) see that within not to long that you won’t be getting any more gold seller spam attempts
Just because they had clipping issues in GW1 doesn’t necessarily mean that they will be here in GW2 if they were to be implemented – Physics calculation has come a long way since 2004
Yeah… You just keep thinking that.
Seems more like missing physics than anything else really, lol.
Well, you have armor, weapons with your Guild emblem on them already – why do we need capes? Capes really had clipping issues in GW1 – don’t need any more of those.
Just because they had clipping issues in GW1 doesn’t necessarily mean that they will be here in GW2 if they were to be implemented – Physics calculation has come a long way since 2004
Nope, havent dodged at all – I think it might be related to LOS, not entirely sure though, but its certainly not dodge or any other form for cancellation atleast.
Sometimes when I am using the longbow andrenaline skill my character does the animation, but no projectile follows, the skill goes on cooldown, though the andrenaline stays.
Same thing happens at times when using Arcin Arrow – no projectile or damage, goes on cooldown, and my character does his animation.
As Colin said GW1 is still up, so just go play that.
My opinion, the game was fun at the start, but we don’t have the game that was marketed and probably never will.
And yet one of the things advertised was exactly that they’ve taken everything that made GW1 great and put it into GW2 o.O
So thats really the problem, the way it was advertised.
Just did a long post, just to have it deleted cos the site logged me out
So ima do it short I guess:
I used to play GW1 a lot back in the day, where GW2 turned out to be going in a completely different direction than of what I had hoped for.
To list a few things:
Living story is great and all, but nearly no permanent content for over a year has had me bored, and I don’t really enjoy repeating the same tasks over and over and over and over, to get some kind of reward.
Missing guild halls – One of the things I really enjoyed in GW1 was guild halls, both for its looks, while I personally and my guild were really into Guild Battles.
Skill hunting – this was one of my favorite activities, and something I saw as a way for your character to progress, it wasnt power, just the diversity of how you could build your character, capturing elite skills off bosses in the world, and otherwise in prophecies, the only way to get the meteor skill in that was to find a special trainer out in the open somewhere who would train it to you, as you couldn’t get that off any other trainer.
Bugs and exploits – this is a real biggie, game has been out for a very long time now, and we have seen nearly no fixes for dungeons, these includes the stacking exploits (which I really hate doing, but have to do if I want to group with random people into dungeons), and the very awkward, and well not very high quality encounters in dungeons – Zhaitan being a perfect example, I really don’t get why this fight haven’t been fixed yet :/ Could have had been a lot more epic. Both missing sounds, to the camera going through objects which makes it really difficult to actually use the camera with your character correctly.
Teamplay – I know it’s there, it just doesn’t feel like its there – I dont mind that we don’t have a trinity in GW2, we didden’t really have a trinity in GW1 either, well we didden’t have tanks anyway. – But honostly, being specced for much else than DPS often feels like a waste of time, as you can mostly do the same things there, just quicker.
Immersion – This might both be related to some story stuff, and then perhaps also some of the items you can get off the gem store, though I can’t really go into much detail about it, but I don’t really feel all that immersed, which I then came to realise that the game isn’t about, atleast it doesn’t seem like it – though I thought it would back when I first preordered the game.
Meaningful Guild Play – There’s not all that much reason to be in a guild, or play together with your guild mates, unless you are a WvW guild.
I could go on, but i’ll just stop here.
til they prove to me they can write a good story dont go near anything like old lore or dragons i want those experiences to be much better then ive seen. actually until then give me no story at all
The best story i’ve experienced from anet is, and might very well not change at all, be the prophecies campaign from GW1.
That was a really long and otherwise engaging campaign, even though it was running on rail – both had mystery, and pretty decent dialouge, while you actually felt part of story. Atleast I did heh.
Muat admit that I havent felt part of the story or have had any of the feelings from what I had back then when I played GW1
Alright so, after reinstalling ive been doing some testing, so far its a bit better, though it seems like its starting to get worse again – and can’t really figure out whats actually causing it.
I have the same issue, but loading everything slowly, from the bootup to anything else basically. You only have this problem in this game?
I think this is an issue with your hard drive. How old and how full is yours? Have you defragmented it lately? If everything else is loading fast and your system is new you could try repairing/reinstalling your GW2 files.
It’s only in this game, everything else, everywhere else is fine really.
Both booting windows, as well as playing other games, or doing other things, no issues at all.
Only GW2 :/
i’ll try the thing about reparing or reinstalling GW2.
This issue seems to pop up at random times.
Sometimes when I start the game, I get extremely slow loading times, while at other times there’s no issues at all.
Another problem would be is when I load my inventory, bank or any other UI related stuff, it won’t load the icons, or the background on the window of the menu im opening before its taken nearly a minute or sometimes even more.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t always occur.
I don’t got any anti-virus or anything else running the background taking up resources of any kind at all.
Whats keeping me from playing as it is right now is probably the lack of permanent NEW content – I honostly don’t play the living world all that much even though I find some of it interesting – and that factors into the time limit on it all, since I am not the person who’d be focusing on one single thing at a time for two weeks at a time, and thats the only amount of time you got for getting both the items and achievement points that follows with whatever event is going on.
So yeah when I play, I mostly skip all the living world content – or perhaps spend about an hour or so doing it, and then end up bored – but yeah, more permanent content would be really appriciated
Also, you need to get people rezzing the dead instead of forcing them to WP and run. The devs very much emphasized during the sneak peak that the run back takes people out of combat for 60 seconds. When you have a large group of people that you’re forcing to run back, that’s a lot of DPS you’re loosing. You can get people back into the fight FAR faster if you rez the dead. Get rezzing and you’ll likely do better.
Rez while they’re down. The first time around people waited to be rezed, so 60% of all population was dead most of the time.
You should be rezzing if they’re dead too. Having so many people running from the WP is hurting your DPS. You can get someone rezzed up from full death and back fighting far faster than it takes for them to run back from the WP.
Thing is though people aren’t ressing so it ends up being faster way pointing.
And we’ll never see a successful completion of this event if players are intent on not rezzing others.
I saw people in map chat telling people to keep running from WP if they died – Which I honostly don’t get due to the time it actually takes to run from there, obviously it used to be like that, but you didden’t have a timer either, as it is right now no one really ress people all that much since people think its a waste of time, as apparently it wasnt worth ressing people before when in a boss fight :s
Wouldn’t a solution to the too much living story content be to add some permanent content instead of temporary content then ?
This update could in theory be categorized as such I supposed, even though its really just a revamp of the content we already got – but having content that stays in the world and doesn’t go away would certainly be a bonus – especially if you want to level other characters, and still be able to keep up on the living story content >_<?
Been waiting for this for almost a year now ;o ! Im really excited about this, now they just need to do the rest of dragons as well and i’ll be content ;p lol..
Honostly though – teqaurl was/is prob the easiest one of all 3, the shattere a close second, where as I have 3 mannes teqautl way back..
Really hope that the shatterer is next as well as very soon as he,s really my favorite, though obviously all to easy /:
I really miss the capture signet function from GW1, its not so much because of the imbalance in elite skills as such, but actually having to go out and find the elite skills was something I really enjoyed to do in GW1, and certainly also something that can keep people busy with other things.
Issues here would be that there’s a low amount of skills as it is, and I unfortunately doubt that we’ll see any new skills anytime soon :/
I know they did, I was here for launch. I want it back. They should do what they did for GW1, PVP or PVE characters, PVE don’t have to pay while PVP do.
1800 gems is far too much for high populated servers, that like 35$ , Money I have, but not that I wanna spend
And how exactly would that help with anything ?
So you’d say that we should have PvP and PvE specific accounts ?
And it wouldn’t even solve the problem, as you’d still have people in PvE jumping from server to server trying to stay on top of the WvW anyway which would result in the same thing – Extremely high queues, lag, as well as very low populated servers elsewhere.
Guesting functions perfectly for its purpose as it is right now, you keep people out of WvW while being able to play with your friends on other servers.
If you want to jump from server to server, just because your server is losing in WvW, then whats the point ? You just want to win with no effort all the time ?
I once made a thread like this, where as I got the same replies you got saying that its for the skins and that you can transmute them etc. – Even so, I think its strange that these skins are of rare quality – I think its fine that they this expensive – however they should really be made into exotics.
Another thing is that obviously if you want to transmute it (which is totally fine) you still need a fine transmutation stone, or rather, you actually need 6 if you want the full set, you can get these through black lion chest (which is very rare as well) – or you can buy them off the gem store, as you obviously can’t use the basic transmutation stone for this unfortunately :/
Even so I do as well find it odd that they cost that much and and arent of exotic quality :/
It is said that he/she/it will become your personal nemesis, maybe, just maybe its Trahearne ;p?
That would be awesome. The only problem is she said the nemesis would be “sassy”.
Trahearne isn’t sassy, he’s just an idiot.
Can’t we just pretend he’s sassy then ?
It is said that he/she/it will become your personal nemesis, maybe, just maybe its Trahearne ;p?
Yesterday I was doing Claw of Jormag, we had a ton of people in there – usually when there’s a ton of people my sound goes bonkers with that “siren” or “woowoowoo” sound thing, which havent happend to me for a long long time, but it did happen yesterday, shortly after the first time it started my game crashed – I then started the game again, and played for a minute when the sound started to do that again, followed by a crash even faster this time.
That’s honostly the only time ive ever crashed in this game, and I can’t really figure out what causes it.
I attached my DXDiag – my graphics drivers are probably not up to date, but they were when the game first came out where i still had the same problem when it comes to the sound thing.

Yep same here really.
So far I believe they only way to tell if someone has been online or not is when their location text changes to unkown after, what … 2 weeks ?
Only thing that sort of bothers me is the 50K influence since you already need to spend over 30K to even to get to that point, even so the rewards that you get from it might actually make up for that – im pretty excited for it, and having precursors part of the loot table is a huge bonus ;o !
I got to say people’s concerns here are very legitimate. This is a nail in the coffin for guilds with fewer than 10-15 people. Over the weekend I have had 4 guilds of this size adsorbed into my guild for the sole reason of me having AoW lvl 5. Most of them had planned to rep mine when I host missions, but it seems like some of their members have not returned to their small guilds to rep like their leaders would like them too. Mostly because of activity and bonus’.
Having a AoW level 5 requirement and dropping that fact days before release was the worst thing Anet could have done for small guilds…. I feel for leaders that have lost membership in these ways, they had no time to prepare whats so ever, and instilling doubt early before release is whats screwing them. Anet should have given more advanced warning about the requirement or not have given any advanced warning at all. All the warning did, was make people scramble to get into better position to earn new rewards, where as if they didn’t know before hand, they may have been more inclined to stay in their smaller guilds and grind it out.
The whole being able to join multiple guilds is pretty pointless if you ask me, when you can only represent, earn influence, receive bonus, and communicate with one at time. Its probably the worst thing Anet could have done for the guild structure, because of course, people are going to rep the guild that can earn them the most reward and it just fragments membership
This, so much this – I agree with pretty much everything on here, I honostly never understood the concept of being able to join several guilds at the same time, since it seems to split the playerbase a lot more, atleast in my experience – You never know if the guy who joined your guild will be representing for good or will stop, and then come back, or what.
At the same time, having the AoW 5 for these missions with so many guilds not even investing in it even if you got AoW 4 you still need 20K influence and 7 days of time before you can start doing it, and not only that if you want to start doing them before that, you’ll have to invest even more influence into the probably above what, 50K influence for the 25% of the progress bar ?
At the same time you also need influence for starting these missions, and we don’t even know how much they are going to cost – are they 2K or 5K or 500 only like some of the other upgrades ?
I’m not even sure if the first one you can get no matter what is the Bounty Missions or if you got Politics level 5 that you’ll get something else instead ?
Or is it only Art of War that will allow you to do these guild missions ? All the info on this seems extremely vauge.
warrior – having a shield pretty much makes capable of blocking any type of attack – Nuclear Bomb ? No Problem !
EDIT: Not to mention that if I traited correctly I’d reflect that bomb right back at them ! mwahaha
There are some interesting points, but despite your play history, I think ArenaNet only knows what their player base _ truly_ consists of. If they play their cards right, their player base could still grow, usually by providing more or interesting content over time. Guild Missions is definitely one of these.
Since you like to bring to the plate your eight 80’s, I’d like to bring across my achievements: I know I have over 5300 achievement points (only 100 points from Agent of Entropy for the curious types, and none from sPvP since I honestly can’t stand that kind of PvP style), but I know this game isn’t perfect.
However, I still have stuff to do before I eventually put this game away. I still have yet to craft myself a legendary, obtain the T3 culture sets for any of my characters, and level an Asura and Charr to 80, for example.
Anyway, let’s get to the points brought up:
Guild Missions
So far, we know one specific detail about one kind of Guild Mission. Perhaps it wasn’t the best example to leak out to the public, but at least we know something. However, I would reserve further judgement until the patch gets released. Maybe other Guild Missions would require different levels in different trees to activate them. That part I’m willing to bet on. It would be kind of silly to lump all those missions into one tree if you were to ask me about it.
Condition Damage and Profession Balance
I’ll agree to an extent on this part. I play a profession that some claim to be the gimpiest of them all: an Engineer. Personally, I’d like to spend more time with a Flamethrower since that’s how I leveled, but unless I go Grenades in high-level Fractal groups, I’m more than likely “doing it wrong”!
As far as Condition Damage goes, it really needs to be reworked in a way so that it doesn’t feel quite restricting when placed with other members who also favor Condition Damage. I suppose the obvious thing here is to remove the 25-stack cap on Bleeds, but maybe there’s a more elegant solution to this.
As far as separating between PvE and PvP versions of abilities, they already do this somewhat. It’s just not as noticeable compared to GW1. I know in previous patches, the flight time for my Grenades were different between PvE and PvP (though I think they’re pretty much the same as of today).
Pre-Cursors / Mystic Clovers / Legendary
Symbolically speaking, a clover (more specifically, a 4-leaf clover) signified a certain amount of luck. It would make sense that there’s some RNG involved when obtaining such clovers. Personally, I stuck with the 1-clover recipe since I would be granted more chances in obtaining them instead of the 10-clover recipe, despite the odds of receiving clovers is roughly 1/3 for both recipes. I would say the 10-clover recipe is more or less for those “Go Big or Go Home!” types.
Honestly, I think clovers should be the only component that relies heavily on RNG, not the precursor. After all, it’s supposed to represent the Luck component when crafting the Legendary. For the precursor, I really would like to see how this Scavenger Hunt would turn out to be when it comes out. So far, I could only gauge it from the Black Moa Scavenger Hunt in GW1. If I had some fun with that in GW1, it might be interesting to see how Scavenger Hunts would work in GW2. When will we such thing implemented? Who knows!
Dungeons
I love running dungeons. I won’t lie about that. However, some of them are just a bit broken and prone to exploits to a certain extent, so getting into a pug that doesn’t like exploiting is quite rare.
If I remember right, AC will be undergoing some interesting changes in the next patch. More like Fractals? Not sure what that’s supposed to mean, but it would be nice to see if the bosses are a bit more interesting. Maybe you’ll actually be forced to use those cannons on the Ghost Eater. Who knows!
As far as the Evolved Destroyer goes, I have noticed that boss to be somewhat easier since the last major patch came out— well, it died faster the last time I killed it.
I suppose “AC 2.0” will be a good gauge on what the revamped versions of other dungeons will be like when future patches come around.

I’d very much like to know where you found the info on the changes on AC – would love to see what it’s about ;o
I can’t read too much of this thread, as I am just getting into the Trahearne parts, but I’ve heard enough and can see the shift from My Story to This Tree-Who-Came-From-Nowhere’s Story.
One of the things I loved so much about GW2 was the personal story. Just about every other MMO out there has your character a small part of what is actually going on, you’re just a soldier in an army who is slightly elevated above fodder.
Following the Personal Story was so much fun, made it so much…well, personal. Then, suddenly (and really, I mean suddenly, out of the freakin’ blue) this Sylvari comes along and it is rapidly becoming all about him. From my character’s story I didn’t even know who he was until he showed up and now everything is all about him. It is something I really dislike…borderline despise. After all, “This is My Story” is how it starts off. Now, I don’t know how all the quests go, like I said this is just how it is currently showing, but from what I hear from people further along the story line is that it is still all about him. It makes me dread continuing the story, because frankly I don’t care about Trahearne at all, not the slightest.
Even though I have completed the main story and such, this post here pretty much describes how I feel as well.
it went from my story to some other dudes story within a very short amount of time, which felt pretty odd.
The start of the game was amazing story wise – the choices you get to make as well as you get to see what differences there are between what you actually choose from when you create your character – then you get to choose what order to join, which in turn pretty much leads to the same end, the rise of this pact, with Trahearne in the front seat.
I as well as it seem others has as well, been wondering, what actually happend to my friends in the tavern back in divinity’s reach, what about those Skritt i saved from all those destroyer eggs, I think I saw them twice there after – Trahearne popped in, never heard of the guy before, and pretty much stole the entire spotlight.
I would have loved to have seen a lot more of either my friends, destiny’s edge or the other “friends” I made along the way, instead of this halfstick plant thing that otherwise just seem to come out of nowhere (unless if you play sylvari that is).
Being able to actually choose (not sure if that would fit well in with any dungeon storymode stuff, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard trahearnes name being brought up a single time in one either so), who of your friends that you have gotten along the way through your journey to level 80 to be this commander would in my oppinion have been a lot more acceptable instead of having some random dude coming and taking it all from you.
EDIT: I remember Rurik from GW1 – even though you probably didden’t know all to much about him I remember feeling attached to him, having to follow him through the shiverpeaks mountain to see him get killed was touching in a way – atleast I remember that I wished that he wouldn’t die as he did, only to find him at the end undead, having to fight him to get to the Lich dude.
Honostly, the prophecies campaign has so far been my favorite story campaign from GW1 as well as GW2.

What bugs me the most is some of the waiting in the dungeon, and not to mention the lack of camera collision on the air ship is seriously driving me crazy
The end fight against zhaitan could really use a some more epicness as well I agree.
Arah storymode to me atleast feels pretty unfinished at best :/
