I didn’t know mobs had mounts. Wow the alliance is dumber than the mobs.
Hunters have pets that are more than big enough to ride, yet never does… Just dumb, very very dumb. Every tribe in historical existence has used animals as mounts if they were able to tame big enough livestock.
Ah, so you’ve just arrived from WoW, and think we should have mounts because they do.
Nerf the hell out of “Rise!” and tweak other bits, then necro won’t be so pants on head silly.
Slick shoes is either incredibly poorly thought out, or not working as intended. It is obviously dumb that slick is able to penetrate blocks, and take effect if your target isn’t even moving.
Change that, and it doesn’t break the skill. Just means people have to understand that not moving while the engi is prancing around them is going to help.
I’m shocked at all the thief votes. The answer will vary dependant on the content, but thief can sustain itself a lot via Signet of Malice and Ivigorating Precision. Daredevil’s extra dodges also help if you know a big hit is coming. I’d argue you can take a lower number of mid-big hits due to low health pool, but aside from that and maybe insane condi pressure (re: CM) you should be okay.
My vote goes to mesmer. In solo settings it’s able to sustain but the damage output is so horribly low even with Sword MH.
metabattle has the new stuff, perhaps you could figure out what builder is used there
Glass gear is what makes it viable. And, since a very large percentage of the population runs such gear, I’m not out in left field on this. I doubt many would admit it in the terminology I’m using, but it’s true nonetheless.
Personally, I never WP out, except at the Inquest Golem II. And I always revive or rally allies when I notice them, provided we’re not at a critical point in the battle (like the last 10 seconds).
“Personally, I never WP out”
How about you tell us why? I can only think of three reasons for doing that, so you may have to elaborate.
1: You’re too lazy/selfish to waypoint and expect other people to pick you up.
2: You never die during anything.
3: The event you’re participating in is near completion and there’s no risk to the alive players if they get you up, or get you up 10 seconds later after completion.
If you are lying dead on the ground and expecting other people to pick you up, just because it now counts as contribution, you are worse than your “exploiters” of waypoints. Why should other people get you up off the floor if it puts themselves or the event at risk? Just use the waypoint and walk back like a sane person.
Same here, bouncy chest, did not appear is expected in my inventory.
I’m fully in favor of changing Unranked while there’s no season to only include Khylo, Forest, Temple, Foefire.
Fun or not the other maps are complete trash for playing competitively.
But it DOESN’T work, and that’s why it’s not an exploit.
The vast majority of posters here disagree with you. They’re the ones who say “when fully dead, waypoint out and run back”. And, they claim to have all kinds of data to support that argument.
I don’t agree with them, but this thread is to determine whether, if it DOES work, SHOULD it work?
NOTE: There are people who won’t rez dead people because of this effect. So, there’s a very real effect in-game, regardless of whether it is true or not.
Here, have an anecdote which demonstrates why people do not rez fully dead people during large events.
I lead a lane in Dragon’s Stand, and we reach the Blighting Tower. The group of people circling the tower tries to get downed people up, but tells dead people to use the waypoint.
Why do I tell them to do that? In that event the group is constantly ticking damage and must sustain themselves. If someone dies and waits to be rez’d – chances are if people try to help, they’re gonna end up dead too. I think the people who want to succeed would rather lose 1 person who refuses to waypoint, than 1-5 people who died trying to get that 1 person up.
Common sense is an exploit now? Okay, at least your account is safe then.
These qualify as issues which require speedy resolution? I cannot possibly see how that is the case now, yet it wasn’t 2 weeks ago when the pvp community screamed for balance prior to the league.
Also please just split pve and pvp skills. You’ll have to do it eventually and it’ll make both sides a lot happier.
Just run fractals a few times per day. If I have time, the inclination, or enough people (me + 1-4, my friends/guildies are pretty darn good), I will run L19, L50, and L29 daily.
My personal luck with fractals and MF has been described as crazy, and I do seem particularly lucky with these, but it just comes down to time. The more runs you complete the more chances you have.
As some kind of anecdotal context – in the last 2 months I’ve got from fractals: 6+ asc. Boxes, 15+ asc. Rings, and 4 Weapon skins (Focus, Sword again, Spear, and Torch again).
TLDR; I got Torch and Dagger (comparatively) quickly, Sword took a while longer. The more runs you do…
Just thought I’d chip in, you can hit over 26,000 including sigils. Fun stuff
Alright, I’ll give this a try.
I’m in need of a back skin. I’m looking for something which will look useable (i.e not stupidly big or XYZ shape). Something which could cover a reasonable amount of my back, but not be bulky would be great.

If you are telling me that in PvE warrior is rubbish, or that the meta has changed from A/M +GS then you’re deluding yourself.
Similarly, I wonder why in top end pvp you see more warriors (yes engineers too – people seem to have picked up on the fact that they’re good) in the organised teams? Perhaps because it’s so facerollingly easy that low-end players can use it effectively, and high end can wreck faces?
Just to be clear also, I don’t main a condi necro. dispels “you’re only moaning cos you’re a necro” argument
So, what, rather than fixing the skill we’re happy to accept changing the description to match the wrong effect?
On the topic if warriors being nerfed, it’s not enough. See WvW, PvE, PvP for warrior supremacy. I’m looking at you healing signet, adrenal health, zerker stance, GS and Axe in PvE, LB and Hammer in PvP – to name a few issues.
I’m guessing you skim-read.
It is bugged as well as very strong. It is stronger than it is meant to be.
If it was fixed, I would have less problem with it, as if someone has (lets say) +30% duration, their conditions will be 30% effective rather than 100% when no stance, or 0% while under bugged stance.
Hello.
So, in the latest patch we’ve seen a lot of bug fixes and balance in addition to the smazzy wardrobe and other stuffs, great.
However. Zerker stance is still a very powerful skill (personally I’d put it as overpowered), which is still bugged.
Why has this been neglected, when less important fixes have been implemented? It’s currently giving full condition immunity, rather than the “100%” it’s meant to give, thus making even +30% duration completely ineffective.
I have no idea how anything is prioritized, as far as fixes and balance goes, but I’d like to throw a theory out there.
Anyone else think that too many nerfs to warrior will cause players to leave? Warrior in general seems to be suffering from “ShadowFormSyndrome” (as i have decied to term it), whereby it has become such a crutch of any setup in pve or pvp that any negative change to it will cause discontent.
Poor attempt at trolling, close please.
gg to the gadnara and FSP teams that found our small guild of sheep earlier, nice to have some good fights to test our sPvP builds ^^
GG to you AG guys who fought to try and keep Stonemist for a very extended siege (around 2 hours). That was an excellent fight!

I can understand the frustration but you did have all that time to buy the skins.
Not everyone has that kind of gold. Early game (halloween) I certainly didn’t. If I had saved all my gold and not bought a single thing, I could have afforded the shield at 300g now. As it is, I have zero chance of getting one for 900g, and I’d rather spend that kind of money on my precursor.
Wear your town clothes in town, thats what I do.
Not everyone wears the same armor. Just the people who’ve never touched pvp.
Well, since the new skins are available at the ticket guy, as well as the winter ones, I’d expect these to return too.
Has Anet seen the price hike on these? 300g prior to halloween 900g+ now.
I think the ghosts are fine, I have little trouble evading them unless I’m unlucky enough to have 4 or more on me.
Perhaps if the ghosts had to respawn in the middle it would be more ideal.
The problem for me is people using jumping off the map as a legitimate tactic. If you’re a competent villager (summoning patrols, using the bundle weapons and your stealth sensibly) you should not need to resort to this.
It respawns you at a point a little way away from where you fell. In some areas this can be sued to gain a significant distance from your pursuer.
Hello all.
I enjoy the Mad King’s Labirinth minigame. It’s probably by far my favorite. However, I’m seeing more and more people (villagers) jumping off the edge of the map to avoid capture.
To me, this is not how the game is intended to be played. If you are feared off, you ought not to have been standing so close to the edge.
Personally, I can now anticipate people jumping off, and counter it accordingly, however not all players can do this.
I would like to see an update making intentionally jumping off kill you. To my mind, this is not how the minigame is supposed to be played, and is little more than low end exploiting.
Thoughts?
Hello all, apologies if this is in the wrong section, but I don’t think it’s a bug as such, and I’m fairly sure Anet knows it’s here. That being said, if this is the wrong section, do please move it mods
So, as I am now nearing my next tier of ranks in pvp (50), I notice that my “Ranksacker” achievement is still on 6/10 tiers. I am given to understand that this is due to the title not counting Reward points for winning a tournament, or win bonuses in general.
To me this seems silly. If I were to loose every game, my achievement progress would reflect more accurately.
Does anyone find themselves in a similar situation? I know for certain I’ll hit r50 before I hit 10/10 Ransacker, and it’d be nice to have the AP and a shiny new title to display.
I’m not 100% sure this achieve is working properly. With my guild we’ve done several runs in which 1 person runs around and the rest sit in aoe stealth during the cannon phase. It’s worked once, but we tried it again yesterday and none of the people got the achieve, even though they didn’t get hit by any aoe during the barrage.
