Tried to find Tequatl this afternoon. Joined one party, map was full, joined another one, map was completely empty and bam LFG cooldown. Couldn’t join another party before Tequ started and missed it.
Thank you ArenaNet for another stupid “feature”.
1104 hours, no drop.
This seems very unrewarding game indeed, I can’t remember a single good drop. It’s just pure RNG or insane grind (Ascended gear).
Those drops are horrible. It seems they have stealth nerfed the item drops from champ bags. Back in the good old FGS champ train days I used to get 1-3 exos from every 100 bags. Now I was wondering why I’m not getting any despite opening hundreds of bags from SW farming and your data seems to point towards significant nerf in drop rates. Also the Tier 6 mats seem to be much rarer than during FGS time.
You can make much more money by running instances or farming skelks and barracudas at Southsun cove.
I was coming to ask the same question.
Who the hell gets offended by text string “FART”!?
I currently have Weaponsmith, Hunstman, Armorsmith and Leatherworker at lvl500.
I’m crafting Ascended weapons for 2 characters. Greatsword and Sword for each. That means 36 Lumps of Mithrillium.
What I have problem with is that my Armorsmith is locked out from crafting Ascended armor during that time because crafting a Lump of Mithrillium on the Weaponsmith also locks out the recipe on the Armorsmith.
What the hell is logic with this? If I craft weapons I’m locked out from crafting armor!?
It really sucks to invest tons of resources to level crafting professions to 500 and then be locked out from crafting because you need craft something else on completely different character.
The team is open to suggestions.
Yeah right, you even closed down the entire Suggestions forum.
They already got your money for 2 copies of the game. I don’t think they even care after that.
This just comfirms that people will NEVER be satisfied whatever anet does. This kittenstorm of profanity comming their way just because they removed human female idle animation? Are you serious?? That’s why we can’t have nice things.
Do you seriously expect people to be satisfied when stuff they have had for 2 years is taken away from them?
If so how stupid are you?
I’m getting CTD and exactly the same error message as OP every time I try to open Trading Post.
I have had a lot of lag in PVE for last couple a weeks. Fractals have been pretty bad too, long lag spikes and someone gets disconnect almost every run. Yesterday was really bad, up to 10 second lag spikes while doing open world content and many others were complaining on map chat too.
Seems like ArenaNet simply doesn’t have enough server capacity and bandwidth to offer good experience during most popular playing hours.
I don’t feel like creating a new thread but I’d like to remind ArenaNet about the issue of most Ascended items being total trash you can’t even salvage. Getting an Ascended ring from a fractal is a like a slap in the face these days.
Random Ascended drops are useless because most stat combinations are bad. I even got a Ascended weapon chest with completely useless stat combination.
I don’t see a problem with salvaged Ascended item dropping Deldrimor steel ingot or Bolt of Damask etc, atleast it press the prices of certain crafting materials down a bit.
I just bought the commanders book but didn’t use it. What happens if I use it after the patch?
So how do we all rate the end of LS season 1

Bugs, bugs and more bugs.
Rehashing old areas over and over again must be the cheapest way to produce “new” content.
It’s pretty long time for MMO to go 1½ years from launch without any significant new landmass.
I wonder if we ever see Crystal Desert, what’s behind the Tengu wall or Underworld…

There’s your problem.
You have slow CPU with integrated GPU and they both battle for the same memory bandwidth. In worst case your cheapo laptop has only one memory stick resulting in 64-bit memory bus. For the price of that laptop you could have assembled something like 3x faster desktop PC.
ArenaNet has too low minimum specs for GW2 unless their specs mean that the game will fail to start up on slower computer.

Proposal Overview
Make it possible to have a build without a pet.
Goal of Proposal
Currently the pet AI is complete trash. Pets die in bosses and zergs because they can’t dodge AoE, players can easily avoid any pet melee attack just by moving a bit because the pet can’t move and attack, the pet path finding sucks in general etc.
Proposal Functionality
Make it possible to choose between a pet and new set of F1-F4 skills. Increase overall stats of build without pet to compensate for lost damage potential.
Associated Risks
If this was implemented very few people would play with pets enabled and the guy who came out with the idea to force the current buggy POS pets on Rangers would look like a complete moron.
Here is a video I took of the problem:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYai1ATUHQ8
I have done the achievement already, did it during the first two days of the event. Back then the puzzle seemed to work alright but now I can’t beat it for the following reasons:
1. Almost every time I jump on the snowflakes a random wind teleports me back to start.
2. If I get to snowball part I get run over by fantom snowballs, I suddenly get damage and get teleported back to the spawn even if there’s no snowball anywhyre nearby.
I’ve tried it with 2 different DSL internet connections (100Mbps VDSL on my apartment and 10Mbps ADSL2 on my parents place) and the problem persists.
Anyone else having the same problem?
Yeah, I gave up at the presents. Got through once at completely random, then had half a dozen tries where the gifts disappear right in front of me and then under me.
Piece of kitten puzzle desing, Mad King’s Clock Tower was actually enjoyable compared to this kitten.
I find it hilarious that people even thought that the rewards would be substantial.
Doing things like zerging towers, zerging camps, zerging dolyaks, trading ruins require minimal individual effort and imo the rewards reflect this. And please stop stating that they took seven weeks. It took a week with minimal effort.
And they stated before the leagues that the winners would receive temporary finishers….
It easily takes seven weeks to complete the achievement if you have only 1-2 hours per day to play the game. Spending those 1-2 hours per day any other way in GW2 would have been much more rewarding.
I understand you might not understand the concept of having limited amount of free time if you are not working or studying full time.
I don’t like listening to random people talk while I play a game. It’s different thing when you play with friends or small group in instance but being bossed around is not my definition of fun. I see enough of people with unwarranted self-importance on the chat. There are simply too many bosses around and not enough leaders.
I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular but getting just greens and yellows is insulting.
If you completed Mad King’s Clock Tower during Halloween you got a chest with unique exotic piece with stats of your own choosing.
Why couldn’t we get something like unique exotic backitem with option to Ascend it with Badges of Honor and some raw mats in Mystic Toilet?
Saddest thing is that those who had to fight hardest for the meta achievement got the worst rewards. I hear some 9th position server players got only one green as equipment reward.
Here’s what I don’t get. Are you people new? WvW has always had less the stellar rewards to investment in it. This should come as a surprise to no one who has actively been doing wvw for any amount of time. I’m more shocked that the chest actually has a decent amount of dragonite in it.
I’ve gotten a number of exos and two ascended items from regular WvWvW rank chests and I’m just at Rank 72…
Silver league 2nd spot rewards (some ppl got worse, some better, they had to include RNG even in this one):
8 greens
3 yellows
500 luck
some wxp
9 lvl scrolls
5 skillpoint scrolls
mini dolyak
100 dragonite and empyreal fragments
There was no competition in any of the leagues in either NA or EU. Every league had one server that totally dominated it. It’s pretty clear Season 1 leagues were abysmal failure because Silver and Bronze leagues were dominated by servers who dropped rankings on purpose and Gold league by those who “recruited” (= bought) players from other servers.
OP is just trying to justify why his favourite class should be overpowered against others.
Stealth in GW2 is so far detached from other gameplay mechanics that it feels it is from completely different game. It breaks targetting, it can’t be broken by damage, you can stealth mid-combat etc. It’s like they went through dozen different MMOs and picked the strongest feature of stealth implementation from each of them and combined them together in GW2.
You are assuming this game has a future beyond 2015.
This.
I expect we see GW3 around that time.
GW3 is most likely under development already, it’s pretty clear that the current amount of “content” we are getting in form of Living World updates doesn’t require all 300+ employees ArenaNet has since most of the Living World stuff is rehashed old stuff. They have most likely something like 50 people handling GW2 and rest are already working on next MMO title since ArenaNet has said they won’t release GW2 expansion.
I’m not very good player but from my 600 hours of playtime on Ranger I have made a list about issues I have with this class:
1. Pet
2. Pet
3. Pet
….
n+1. Pet (n is large integer)
It simply doesn’t work. It misses skills on moving opponents because it can’t move and cast a skill at same time. There is a huge lag in skill casting. It dies to AoE all the time. It kills me if I forget to stow it away in Uncategorized Fractal. GW2 is very fast paced game and the pet is ridiculously slow to react to any commands.
I’d love to be able to give up the pet for stat increase on Ranger. I wish there was a ability to select petless Ranger build.
Server: Desolation
League: Silver
Enjoyed Season 1: Yes, very much
Should we have season 2? Yes
Dropping ratings on purpose to get to silver league and then completely dominate it… Yeah I bet you had fun. I hope you are happy that 8 other servers had to suffer for you to have some fun.
What if Scarlet is actually a dragon?
This seems to be bugged indeed, I almost never get the credit when meleeing or using ranged attacks on the door and maybe half the time or less when using flame ram (ram mastery 3).
I think I have 28/30 demolition master now but that required a kittenload of flame ram blueprints and using cata on some walls too.

So if you and me pay the same price for same service, in this case Guild Wars 2 game, why should you get preferential treatment?
Sounds like you are a bit too full of yourself. Everyone else in the game has paid same amount of money for it and deserves equal opportunity to play the content so suck it up and queue like everyone else does.
Queues are ridiculously long even in some T2 servers. Last night around 1AM GMT I had to queue over 2 hours for EB on Gandara. The BL was deserted though, most likely because Blobbadon had full manning there and kept owning Gandarians 100-0. I got 4 kills in little over 1 hour in BL and it sucked donkey balls.
Even at the maximum setting the current draw distance in GW2 is very short compared to other MMOs. High end rigs could definitely handle some more landscape without performance problems. It doesn’t even give any advantage in PVP so there isn’t any reason not give us option to make the draw distance longer.
Bought a new computer, see hardly any difference?

What CPU your old rig had and what does your new rig have?
Quote buttons are not appearing in this thread for me for some reason but you know what I mean if you read UKNightWatch’s posts earlier in this thread.
So UKNightWatch, you were posting some WvWvW screens to prove your AMD rig runs the game just fine. You are dropping to 20 fps in small skirmish for a tower and you even rotated the camera so that it doesn’t show anything but the ground and some of your friendlies. That’s really poor performance to be honest. If you have any friends who own Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge CPUs I suggest you go over to them and try GW2 on their rigs. The FPS you are getting in WvWvW is bad.
AMD Bulldozer sucks in this game:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/guild-wars-2-performance-benchmark,3268-7.html
The GPU utilization is low because the CPU is the bottleneck and the GPU has to wait for the CPU to finish it’s tasks.
I know it’s hard to admit that you made a mistake by getting AMD CPU this generation but if you ever want to have smooth GW2 experience you have to go Intel.
Sure is lot of AMD owners in denial here.
AMD CPUs are worthless in CPU bound games these days. I went from Phenom II X4 965BE to Intel Core i5 2500k and got 50-100% fps increase in CPU bound games like ArmA II, Shogun II and X-Plane 9.
No software update is going to make AMD CPUs suck less in gaming.
For those who say “you need to OC AMD CPUs for true potential” I respond: good luck matching OCd Intel CPU. AMD “high end” CPUs have TDP of 125W out of the box and the thermal output is just going get higher when you OC it. For comparison Ivy Bridge has 77W TDP and Sandy Bridge 95W. You are going to need much beefier cooling and PSU to reach same OC as Intel CPUs and you are still slower.
While lower end Intel CPUs are locked you have to ask your self if it’s worth it to spend $$$ on cooling, PSU and good OC motherboard and go with AMD when locked low end Intel is going to give you same gaming performance for less money than OCd “high end” AMD.
