Is having to stand still for 3 seconds to kill someone you just killed again while friends are pounding on you fair? Stomping is a free 3 second stun for enemies.
Only OP stealth is dagger/pistol thief who can stay stealthed indefinatly. Rest is a matter of dodging/cc to avoid CnD.

Like posted previously. Fighting a mesmer is about being patient. Let him use all his cooldowns while u stealth on his pets. Read his and his pets movements. When 1 pet come rushing at u, hes like to use illusionary leap = dodge. When he wields his greatsword and he puts one hand in the air u need to dodge the berserker. If he stealths, just stealth on the pets till he reappears.
Downed is both good and bad depending on the situation. If i run around solo and get jumped by 3 people it sucks that they can rezz eachother faster then i can finnish. But in big scaled fights its pretty awesome.
They should add faster finnishing to the WvW progression tree. spent 5 points and reduce the time by 1/2 a sec. 10 points another 1/2 a sec and so on. Capped out it would take 1,5 sec to finnish someone.
1. Skill lag.
2. Lack of cosmetics and rewards for the WvW community.
3. The WvW progression is poorly designed. Its just a tag and run game. Kill someone solo or kill them with a 100 people, you still get the same amount of Wxp for that player, making zerging players progress way too fast in the ranks, making ranks not matter at all. Ranks was supposed to show your skill/experience in WvW, but it just marks the better tagger. Meeting rank 70+ players that just goes down without effort is just sad.

As much as im loving the attention WvW finally got with progression, i feel the ranks doesnt properly display your skill in WvW. People at rank 50 or above only displays that they are riding the zerg wave alot. There needs to be achivement titles like the “Been there done that” only from a pvp perspective, that shows your capabilities in the WvW scene. Like 1000 or 2000 solo kills.

The downed state system playes no role in wvw other then compliment bandwagon players/zerging. As soon as you are solo or 2-3 players, its almost impossible to win bigger fights. You get players downed who are instantly rezzed. Even if you get the opportunity to stomp, many classes has skills that makes it very difficult to do so and are often able to postpone their death till you are downed youself. There needs to be a downed state fix for wvw so that you can only get rezzed or rally once every 5 mins or so.
If you are against many its almost a penalty to down players because a stomp = 3,5 sec where the enemy can unload all their damage freely on you while rezzing.
Skills that when used causes a random effect should be changed to flat out give one specific effect. This would be cool because it removes randomness from pvp. Maybe change skills with random effects to match the mesmers meditation skills, where u prepare them in advance.
Im not saying that all builds are equally good, but i still play my engineer as my main and i think its one of the most powerfull classes currently in the game, even with the bugged skills and traits. I have about 6k wvw kills with most of those being solo. I have lost 1 1v1 fight in all my time spent in wvw and most 1v1 is just a 1-sided fight with my apponent being immobolized till dead.
Why people think its a crappy class is beyond my understanding. Its on par with the mesmer and stronger then the thief. I dont know what the hell u guys are doing, but its wrong. When our traits gets fixed its gonna be even more faceroll when i play it. My personal record is to beat 7v1 in wvw. Sure they were baddies, but even 7 baddies should kill 1 guy.

Also, please enlighten us with you gear, spec, gems, hacks…because no engineer is going to take on 7 people that are attacking him. And as far as winning 1v1 is every 1v1 encounter, I would like to see some videos of this as long as they are 80 in full exotic gear…because your claims are too fantastic to be believable, discrediting everything you say.
Also. I think the overall point you and so many are missing is that the engineer is not a class you can just “pick up” and start doing well with. It takes more key push cycles, more effort and juggling to do well, you mess up once on a GCD and you are dead. Most other classes are not plagued with this problem, not to the extent engineers are.
If the class is designed to be a “hard” class to play, then Arenanet needs to let people know that up front. The assumption is (and rightfully so) that all classes are balanced the same. But with warriors, thieves etc etc clearly showing us they are not…it leaves the player who picks a random class or on that looks cool to them at a disadvantage. There is a reason warriors are the number 1 played class, because they are easy to play and do very well with minimal effort.
People are like water, they take the path of least resistance. A class that is made to be easy and powerful will always dominate the player base. A person with the same skill who plays an engineer vs a same skilled person who plays a warrior, will always lose to that warrior and that is the complain from most people here.
I understand that its just words now, so ill finnish up my video soon and post a link here in the engineer forum. Im sorry if i sounded kitteny in that last reply, but i really do believe the engineer is really powerful. As is a thief and mesmer.. in the right hands, most of the callings are deadly if utilized.

Lets get a thread going about choice of sigils! Let us know what ur choices are and most importantly why you chose as you did.
I run dual pistol with Sigil of earth in the main pistol for the obvious bleed effect on crit. On the secondary i run a Sigil of fire for the aoe flame blast effect to get off some free aoe dmg that scales wit AP.
I totally agree with the creater of this thread. WvW Needs a carrot. Right now i think WvW is awesome, but imo the fun has a short horizon. We need some sort of progression model for it. What happens when u are fully geared and a couple of months has passed? Im telling you, people are gonne start signing out.
Superior sigil of earth has a 2 sec internal cooldown and the bleed itself does not last for more then 5 secs. So the best logic is to add something else for the off hand that doesnt proc on crit.
People that WvW and came to the game for this aspect alone, for the most part, aren’t here for special looking gear. Yes, the ego fluff is viable, why else get legendary gear? It doesn’t make you stronger, it’s all about looks and what is that but fluff?
I don’t think ‘drops’ are the answer, but for those who are gear-centric, you can have realm points be a similar system to the way we had badges now, but it just seems redundant.
I agree that gear based PvP isnt the way to go, but i would like to see maybe a PvP-trait tree. Where PvP-trait points are earned through WvW. People are so afraid that hardcore players will become OP. If you played DAoC, you know thats not a fact. Bad players will still be bad.
Good suggestions tough I disagree with the name display suggestion one thing I like about WvW is you can’t see the opposing enemies name, when you get beaten or beat by someone, you can’t whisper him and starting insulting.
This is one thing I disliked within most games when you win or lose the other person feels the need to whisper you and insult you
I hope they take this concept over to hotjoin sPvP leave it out of tPVP as you need to see the enemy names helps with communication/differentiate between two or more of the same profession etc
As for better drops instead of little bags on the ground when you kill an enemy you should instead instantly receive Badges of honor, some money and little bit of exp, I don’t bother even picking up loot because most of the time it’s just junk and I rarely receive Badges of honor.
I disagree for the most part about the not naming players in WvW. I think players should earn to named, so that players who has spent lots of time has a chance to stand out as individuals and fame.
As for gear and drops… As it is now i think the Badge of Honor gear is a joke really. It takes ages to gather enough badges for an item and you can go buy a exact stat equal piece from a karma vendor. To begin with i thought the PvP gear had a uniqe stat focus, but it doesnt at all. This all leads back to the original subject.. Where is the purpose of WvW other then killing eachother? But thats ofc spoken from the heart of a former DAoC player.

Some of the bugs i can live with, but to save 12 secs on that skill would be incredible (for me atleast)
I really like the coat u get from badges in wvw
Devs: Please make the trait “Fast-acting Elixers” work with the “Elixer S” soon :-) It says that theres a 48 sec cooldown, but it counts down from 60 on use. So many fights i could have won if the trait worked as intended for all elixers.
I think we can all agree that the PvP in Guild Wars 2 is shaped for the tactically good players and thank god for that :-) Its critical to keep track on cooldowns/buff and debuffs at all times when fighting. I have noticed that several Rune sets have internal cooldowns on various passive abilities that procs when X event happens. I think it would be really cool to be able to monitor the cooldown on these abilities. Like adding an icon on the UI where you can monitor these abilities.
On a different matter it would be cool to have a quickbar (maybe on the right hand side) for consumables/blueprints and the likes. Items that you have to open your inventory to use.
I was beyond disappointed with my deluxe edition aswell. A ring which becomes useless after a few levels and a banker which goes poof after 3 days. Would have bought the standard one if i could do it over. Could have atleast made the banker permanent… given some free gems .. extra character slot.. Just something permanent that will usefull for the entire run.
I play a engineer who doesnt have weapon swap on ½-key in the way most other classes do, so i reassigned it to something else. Now when i log to my alt who does have a need for weapon swap, the keybindings from my engineer is transfered to that character aswell.
Please add so that i can have different keybindings for each of my characters.

I have several times lately encountered that when i down someone, they vanish from the map. Are people able to teleport to spawn or exit game with alt+F4 while downed? This is a huge fail imo and needs to get fixed.

Being a former daoc and warhammer player i think that WvW lacks many basic things. For one i completely agree that players needs some way to ID eachother. I hate the "Invader+servername.
Also, where are the goals for wvw? catching keeps and objectives? Orbs? There need to be a goal for the individual. I already mentioned in a previous post that your title needs to be apart of your WvW name. Like Invader is rank 1.
Also downed state can be really frustrating, especially if your soloing its near impossible to finnish people who can stealth and teleport if you are vs multiple targets. Downed state needs to be a bigger punnishment in wvw then it is. You should not have any abilityes, just the opportunity for a quick rezz.
Try 1v3 thiefs.. Try finnish one of those if you get them downed. Had one of those last night. Had em all downed once, but finnishing is impossible because you litterally cant afford to stand still for 3 finnishing attempts due to downed teleport and stealthing mechanics
I would be super cool if the armor sets had individual looks depending on your class. Thief should look more “sneaky/assassin” like and engineer should have a mechanical look and so on.
To be honest the armor skins for the PvP armor/weapons sets looks kinda boring taking into consideration how long it takes to accuire them. Anyone else feel the same?
I have been reading alot of posts lately about WvW end game progression. Obviously those who has played DAOC or Warhammer online knows what the deal is. While i loved the camelot realm rank progression model i cant really make up my mind if this is what GW2 needs, although i do agree that it does in some degree crave progression and rewards.
From day one i immediatly thought that wvw was unpersonal – Everyone is called Invader + server name. How are really good/devoted players going to stand out/shine if everyone has the same name/color.
I think Invader should be the rank 1 title and as you progress you unlock more titles. When you reach max rank you become a “named” player. Enemyes targeting you will then see Xrank + your name+of+servername. This is kinda a inbetween handshake thing where most players can agree. No stat/ability gain from WvW – everyone is nice and equal.
My next suggestions will make some disagree with me
Amount of WvW ranks: 100
You will only earn new WvW titles each 10 levels
Each rank rewards you with x amount of badges/karma and 1 skill point
Each time you unlock a new WvW title (ex. 10,20,30 etc.) you get an additional trait point so that players at rank 100 will have a total of 80 trait points to play around with. Could also be 1 trait point for each 20 levels granting 5 additional trait points at rank 100.
Winning in WvWvW should also be granting badges/karma with the most granted to the winning world ofcourse
