Doesnt work I reported someone for cheating in pvp (killed lord on legacy with both gates up) also there was a forum thread made about it with 3 ppl from that game posting their own screenshots of proof. Guess what thread deleted person still playing the game…. -.-

Hi, so I used to do key farms every now and then and recently decided I should probably start doing them again as got some tomes building up. Then one of my guildies has mentioned that it now seems to be limited to one key per week for low level ps rewards. I checked and can see this came out with the patch on sept 15. Does anyone know when during the week this resets?

2891 hours, had my first precursor a couple of days ago. I got the bard out of a champ pouch. However after being informed of all the other expensive things i will need not sure if i will ever make a legendary, precursors dont seem that expensive in comparison.. Also i never play the mystic toliet lottery, dont see a point in wasting gold.

Its fine to give feedback for the future, it just seems bizarre to demand the patch now which is what the OP is doing. I agree it might be a bit naugty to have a break right before the last episode but if they didn’t manage to fit it into the schedule any other way then so be it. Regardless of when the patch hits I will still enjoy my holiday

I think OP is expecting Anet to sit there with a load of red buttons for each patch saying ‘release’. Patch is not going to be ready before the deadline, simple as that.

I dont see anything wrong with waiting a little bit, we will have Wintersday to occupy us, just as expected. Why should we have 2 patches at the same time? That doesn’t make sense to me.

In-game people can only see my achievement points if we have both added each other as friends, they are a member of a guild that I belong to or if I party up with them. It would be strange for the forum to display information like this considering “randomers” can’t easily access the information.

Of course, there could be show/hide settings for this sort of information. Have it by default hidden and allow forum users to show the information if they wish to.

I don’t really see what kind of benefit it would hold. To be honest I think it would give those with lots of AP/lots of chars some weird sense of authority over those with less of both. Just seems like a way to cause more drama imo… and forum drama is the worst kind of drama.

Got bad news for you I’m afraid, anyone can see your achiv points in game if they add you, as long as you’re online, you don’t have to add them.

In fact, you can. Attach one first and click Preview instead Reply. it will attach the pic but won’t post, but then the Select file button will be available again. Repeat it for each additional pic you want add. When you are done then you finally use Reply.

You are not allowed to post any screenshots that includes other peoples character names visible or anything like that which I imagine most of those screenshots do. As for the being offline bit, that is perfectly legit since there is a function to go invisible, which a lot of people use it means you appear offline and people cannot whisper you, I don’t think you can even see guild chat when you set yourself to invisible. I sometimes use it when I want to log on and play but want to be alone and unnoticed.

Well at the moment you can change your in game password through logging into this website, so that’s a big security risk anyway.

Again I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal to browse forums without logging in. Anything you really want to comment on you can do when you go back to your secure connection and log in there.

At the moment at least most people try to keep their account safe and protect their passwords because everyone knows, if you get hacked there is only one rollback, it’s up to you to keep your account safe. If you had a different password for forums you sound like you wouldn’t care much about your forum account security, which is the wrong attitude to have. Anet would have to deal with too many support tickets if people adopted this attitude of not being careful with their password, even if it’s just for forums it takes them time and resources to sort it.

Again, all you need to do is just not log in on public networks. Read all you want and reply when you get home don’t see this as a big issue

You can browse the forums without logging in, thats what I tend to do. Since you can do such things as change your password through the website, it wouldn’t be secure anyway.

I have read lots of cases of people being hacked sharing it on these forums now and a lot of them say their characters got deleted.

I thought hackers tend to delete characters anyway so it wouldn’t make a difference? Also they could still just destroy your armor :/ I don’t think there is much anet can do in these cases I’m afraid.

When you get emails it doesn’t necessarily show the true address of where they came from, in that case the true address would be hidden and the gw one put on top to trick people.

Hm, I play a lot, do fractals dungeons and wvw and stuff and play with pugs, never had the issue of random people adding me in that way. If you don’t want someone to bug you everyday and its a problem, bock its quite simple. I like the followers list because it means that some people that I’m not particularly close with, can add me if they want but I don’t have to add them. I only have my close friends in my friend list that I talk to a lot. If a message popped up asking for my permission or if I had to add them back it would just create awkward situations since I don’t want to add these people.

When your friend is opening a ticket they provide an email in one of the boxes. You can put the new email in there and anet will contact you through that email. Specify in the ticket that you want to change the email address to a new one because you weren’t getting emails from them. Also when you open a ticket you should get an automated confirmation response so that will allow you to check if the new email can receive Anet emails. Good luck

I’m guessing you don’t remember season 1 then….. It is no one’s fault if you cannot read your own mail when you open it, it clearly states rewards will be forfeited if not claimed by the end of the week.

The reason for that is that we get weekly rewards instead of for the whole tournament, which works much better because everyone ends up with more tickets by the end, and the tournament is much shorter this time. Even if you lose every single week that gives you 400 tickets, which lets you afford one mystforged weapon. Much better system.

Everyone is familiar with battle hystorian since last season and knows where it is, and you walk past him all the time so I don’t see how it’s an issue. You walk to the trading post to pick up your gold don’t you, no one expects it to be mailed to them.

I only feel sorry for the people that are not able to log in for a whole week for some reason, the only option being giving your details to someone, just remember it might be a good idea to temporarily change your password while youre doing it.

I’m currently having trouble purchasing gems through paypal. I get as far as Paypal should open in another browser and then nothing happens. It skips to the end as though I have completed a transaction and wants me to select done. I’ve sent two tickets and haven’t really seen anything in the forums about a current issue. I would prefer not pay by credit card so I guess my best option is by a gem card from Amazon or Target.

Never make duplicate tickets because it puts you at the back of the queue again when you make another one. Wait for CS to respond, if it’s been 3 days or more and you have not received a response you can post it in the appropriate sticky thread.

Has your friend carefully checked the spam folder or any other folder it might have ended up in? (eg. gmail now oddly sorts out your inbox into tabs so it might not appear in the main one). Could always use the email search box just to make sure. If not, check block list, if nothing works your friend might have to switch email providers.

It was definately a mini and it seems to have got removed or maybe hidden. I guess Anet are not planning on releasing it for the NA/EU client, shame. Unfortunately I didn’t take a screenie of what it looked like, I will do a quick search to see if someone else has

I did not claim that it wasn’t, I am just upset that it works differently than the other 2 week golem that appears to be exactly the same, without there being any mention of this in the item description. The DD golem can be collected from your mail without the timer starting. Only once you actually use the golem to access your bank does the 2 weeks start ticking away. Thus, I assumed (even more confident after also checking the info on the OFFICIAL Wiki – perhaps hosting is the only official bit about it, but info on there is usually correct and it’s what you find if you use the in-game command “/wiki banker golem (2 weeks)”) that the item you buy from the gemstore would be the same. If the gemstore golem had come with a description that states “timer starts as soon as item is delivered” then that would’ve been fine, but it doesn’t.

Actually the descriptions and the icons of the 2 different golems are different now, they corrected it the same day they did the promotion of free banker golem. For the deluxe golems it specifically states timer starts ticking after you consume it. For the gemstore golem that is omitted, it doesn’t say anything anymore, only that you can use it to access your bank for 2 weeks. It would be a nice touch tho if they added to description that time starts immediately after purchase to minimise confusion and complaints.

I previewed it before, I’m assuming it’s still possible. You might have missed it. I would love to see that mini in game, its huge and really nice!

Surely you can still create a ticket and put in new account, no chartacters in the char name section or smth if there isnt an option.

I didn’t say quickly I just make the same human commoner that was the standard for keyruns before patch except now you have to lvl it to 10. So I do hearts and as many events as I encounter on the way and then at 10 unlock story and at the end of the chapter get a key. Takes me around 1h 10 mins few mins longer if not many events on the way.

Well I guess you know nothing about customer service then if you think spending more on a game gives you some kind of entitlement. It doesn’t matter whether you’re rich or not or if you spend any money or not or where you get that money from, all customers are equal.
If you want to find out how long you’re suspended for none of us can tell you, you need to contact cs and open a ticket.
Also, not to lecture you or anything but most of the posts that you ‘spammed’ in all other topics are kind of ridiculous and don’t paint a very good picture of you. You know Anet can ban you from posting on forums completely for doing stupid things? I know you’re a student, so am I, but show some maturity.

Most ppl with a high rank are karma trainers as someone already mentioned, so if such a player died or smth it would be more like ’ go back to your eotm you rallybot’. Don’t think its needed at all. What about roamers, people who scout a lot? They might be a lot more experienced that your mithril invader but their rank would state otherwise.

Hm thats interesting, you must have just had really bad luck. Even pre patch people were estimating it takes around 30 keys to get a full ticket, and Anet said that the drop rate of scraps has been increased since the recent feature patch came out. I have done quite a few key runs since the changes and definately noticed an increase in scraps, previously I could open 5 chests and get not a single scrap, from experience my rate used to be around 1 in 5. Right now since the patch I already had a full ticket and get a scrap out of my chest around 3 out of 5 times I would say.

The link doesn’t work for me. It could just be that they’re trying to design harder more challenging encounters and want someone with experience in that field you know.

It doesn’t matter how many gems you bought, you break rules and you pay for it… just because we have rich ppl irl doesn’t mean they can get away with murder. You are the same customer as the one who doesn’t pay gems in Anet’s eyes, so you need to stop your ’I’m entitled to more than everyone else’ attitude.

The gem store golem works in a different way to the DD upgrade one, because people usually buy it, get it in the mail and use for 2 weeks.

Basically there is too much of all 3 of those mats, bloodstone, dragonite and empyreal. I wish anet considered this more when they made mawdrey 2, it was already suggested at the time for it to be able to consume all 3 mats but the thread got burried really fast, not sure if Anet really noticed. I get around equal amounts of all 3 from my playstyle, with slightly more bloodstone, and having to still delete the other 2 mats is just annoying.

For other reasons. Such as keeping the farmers in a place where they can be happy and I can be happy doing what I want like, RP, achievement hunts, etc. without interference.

Opening pavilion all year will be a place for them so I don’t have to see them or run into one of them that may troll us other play styles cause maybe they had a bad day and need to take it out on someone?

I’m all about least conflict as possible. Keeping them in a place where I know where they are and can see them will make it better off for a lot of us. Also in a place out of the way the living world or future living world content.

I’m not willing to risk our brilliant economy system for this. There will still be issues with them fighting each other, griefers coming in just to annoy them because thats what they like to do etc. If anyone harasses you you should always report it.

The only way I could see this implemented permanently is if the rewards were nerfed quite a bit but then I think farmers would complain and probably not bother with the place altogether. Also as i mentioned before for the pavilion to work as a good farm the map needs 6 leaders and a lot of cooperation, which is actually not that easy to obtain, there will be issues of ppl standing on other maps spamming to try to get into a particular one because other maps will be no good as a farm.
I think a lot of people farm because its just mindless easy zombie stuff so you can watch things on your other screen but still be earning gold…. well I think in the pavilion that would be hard to do. So for a big chunk of the farming community they will probably stick to what they have now in open world as it’s quite easy to access.

Conversion rate would have to be very high. You can get a ton of badges from EotM, and a low exchange rate would just allow people to get everything with a fraction of the effort those who do the dungeons put in. It should be something like 500 badges for 60 tokens.

But then might as well call it eotm rewards, not wvw rewards… Badges of honour don’t rain on actual wvw players. I have less than 2k, and I play wvw regularly, a couple of hours almost everyday, but i do spend a few badges as well every now and then. I think eotm as it is should have a different kind of badges because it devalues wvw rewards completely.

Queens pavillion was an awesome farming place, only played it last time around so I missed the original one, but still a good farm, spent a lot of hours in gold/hardcore maps.

Now to point out a few issues:
1.I think for the farm to be optimal ppl have to be on ts to coordinate, I personally love this but there are a lot of ppl that hate coming on any kind of voice comms.

2.There was plenty of toxicity in the pavillion, more then at coil I would say, people constantly ‘naming and shaming’ afkers ( that could be ppl just moving away for a couple of minutes for toilet break for example ), telling people to block them so they never get taxied into ‘their’ map (entitlement issues again).
Then there was the people going round shouting in map chat ’ I will do things how i want and if i want to go round the circle tagging all bosses and doing barely any damage then i will do it and i don’t care what anyone says’.
Then there was also people bringing uplvl and scaling events without contributing much at all therefore taking longer to finish events and slowing down the farm.
Also there was so much toxicity on ts too I remember a girl ending up in tears and leaving ts.
I could go on but you get the picture of how toxic the environment was, as any farm environment, I just cannot imagine it peaceful.

3.Last, and biggest issue imo, the economy. Farming is not good for the economy, Anet doesn’t want you to have gold. Expensive stuff is supposed to stay expensive and rare. For as long as such farms are temporary its not really an issue, yes there will be an influx of mats/exotics into the economy and cause prices to go down but that is temporary and once the farm is removed the excess over time gets absorbed into the economy and the prices eventually stabilise and rise to what they were pre farm. If the farm was to stay then all these prices of common mats would stay really low, rare mats prices would drop too, making farming less profitable. The truth is, those precursors that people want so bad are never going to get cheaper. As prices go down (if more drop from people farming lets say) the demand for them will go up thus pushing the prices back up, and eventually your legendary would be worth even less because it’s more common. As a result of farming prices of common mats going down would also cheapen the rewards of any other activity in game as most of earning gold potential comes from loot.

So my take on it is, farms are fine as long as they’re temporary because the effect on economy is not so great that it damages it. Also toxic farm environment is something that would need to be dealt with, not sure how tho, can’t exactly get rid of all rude/impatient players.
I am of course mainly referring to these mass champ bag farms that tend to have way better earnings potential than anything else in game.
Also, as far as farms like that go I think the pavilion one was truly amazing as the bosses actually had mechanics and you could always go round in circle or switch to a different boss when you get bored of a specific one. So it wasn’t just ‘stand and spam 1’, fights were actually engaging and we were being kept busy enough to not get bored within half an hour.

Before they even consider putting any kind of rewards for badges they need to sort out the difference of how many badges you actually get in wvw versus the constant flow of them in eotm…… Because it wouldn’t be rewarding actual wvw players, just the eotm farmers to help them make even more gold. Possibly even introduce a different kind of currency from eotm? Because atm actual wvw and eotm is simply not even in the same category in my eyes, it makes all the ridiculously bad reward from doing actual wvw seem even more insignificant and feels like it’s a massive waste of your gaming time in terms of earning potential. If it wasn’t for the fact i used to play wvw way before eotm arrived and feel part of the community and enjoy fighting for my server now, I wouldn’t even step into the maps. From a new players perspective, how are they supposed to be attracted to wvw exactly when eotm farm is around?

As far as I can tell the first link at least is not genuine, I haven’t clicked on it but I assume it asks for your login details so the hackers can use them to get into your account. If you ever want to see if a link is genuine its a good idea to inspect it, as in this case you will see it is actually a different website link that is ‘disguised’ as a genuine link by naming it through code.

I have clicked on the link, brought it up in a sandbox even. It takes you to the login page for the GuildWars 2 Site – or an exact replica. It’s even https.

I know the trick of hovering over a link to see where it takes you – in this case, it shows the link will redirect you to the “You’re leaving the GuildWars 2 forums…” notice, then redirects you to the legitimate login page. I must be missing something, so either way it’s a scam of some sorts, I just don’t see how.

Yes I didn’t mean hover over, what I did was right click on the link and inspect it, that way you can look at the link in code and it reveals it takes you to a different location, not to the guild wars 2 login website as it claims, as that is just the ‘name’ they gave to the link, and must have made a pretty decent looking replica of the gw2 website then. Hope you didn’t try to login if you clicked on it, if you did I would suggest to change your details immediately.

You can rest assured, if 100 players report Fred, but Fred’s not doing anything wrong, he’s going to be just fine. The 100 false reporters? Not so fine, if they start abusing the report system. (And we may not use the exact message as expressed above, but that’s pretty much how it works. )

I remember a livestream months ago (maybe half a year or so) where someone did a fake giveaway of a legendary (he did the drawing off camera and a friend of him won) – people got upset and massreported him, around 500 people where watching. On stream you could see 3-4 min after people started to report him he was kicked out of the game, he tried to log in again but he got a error massage, that he was banned – but he did nothing wrong ingame, it was only on twitch.
(Don’t ask who he was, I was only watching it because of the giveaway xD)

I would say that situation falls under the Scamming category so maybe the GM looking at it decided there was a scam going on and banned the person?

The responses would be sent to whatever email you used when you opened the ticket.
