I’m sure this has been said like 100 times already, but if your class doesn’t have a block/invuln, then stay in melee range the whole fight. Not only will you do more damage (thus making the fight end sooner) but she will never target you with the teleport. A win-win!
If you’re worried about all the other attacks, good news, dodging mitigates 100% of that damage.
Was just in a 49 where we had one person who hadn’t done fractals in ~6 months, and only one person went down the whole fight, and it’s because they were a thief and insisted on ranging and were constantly so far away Mai had no choice but to gun him down.
Yes, since July 1st I’ve disconnected about ten times (it’s not my internet either). In the past ~1.5 years, I’ve disconnected fewer than that.
I do not like the change. It’s fine if your toon was grandfathered in, but for all new toons, you almost have to do map completion just to unlock your traits. Running all over every map waiting for very specific events to go up is the polar opposite of fun. I will just buy all the traits, but if you don’t have extra skill points and gold (if you’re new for example) then you’re stuck with a few garbage traits.
So…
First try with this build I killed Liadri (didn’t get any luck in phase 2 with the clones turning into orbs and she died too quick). Third try, I got the 8 orb achievement. I’m willing to bet someone could get 16+ orbs with this build, it’s so stupidly easy to kite and you take no damage from any attack. I didn’t use any skill/utility (other than popping elite before entering) the entire fight other than rifle #1. Anyone having trouble with Liadri, this is the build for you!

5 Gambit on thief is super easy. Fight Deadeye, use S/P or D/P and always have Deadeye inside of Black Powder. Use Shadowstep, Infiltrator’s Signet, steal, and S2 or D3 to stay on top of Deadeye. As soon as he teleports, just use one of those to instantly shadowstep back on top of him. If you’re on top of him, and he’s blind, he won’t even hurt you. Traits don’t really matter (but 3 in trickery is very helpful), I’d recommend full zerk traits/gear because you will never be hit.
Don’t use squeamish gambit, it really drags the fight on, any of the others don’t even affect you since you shadowstep to move everywhere.
Would switching from Scholar to Strength on my Warrior and Ranger serve me better? I usually just pug or run with guildies, so staying above 90% health gets a little dicey sometimes (often).
I’ve stopped doing anything that has any sort of daily reset since it’s all bugged and no rewards will drop. I hope there can be some sort of compensation (being able to do the monthly twice is not worth losing out on everything else). It’s very frustrating.

I made the fiery gladius and dwayna shortbow. I don’t know if it was just luck or what, but it only took three tries for each. Pushing 20+ on the longbow now.
Is there somewhere to look all these super crit recipes up?

Can I salvage items from the PvP mystery coffer for tokens above my rank? Never bought one so I don’t know what’s in it, but if I can get any item from it, I’ll buy some and try it out. Else, I’m not sure how I can get phoenix tokens.
Thanks, didn’t know if 40 was high enough for anything decent. I’ll probably just just buy tomes then, I’ve been a PvE’er for a while, so I have all the dungeon/karma/cultural armors I like the looks of and loathe leveling.
Do we need to run the dungeon with each toon? Or can I run it with one toon, and all of my toons can progress? I will cry if I need to level up my lvl 11 necro that I PvP the most with to 80 for the Arah track.
Is there a list of the PvP only skins or skins that are super expensive in PvE so I can make sure I craft them now? My rank is only in the 40s, highly doubt I can get to 50 before the 15th, so I’m not sure if I’m high enough rank to make anything worthwhile or not, but I still have over 100k glory to burn before the update. I’m currently at 142%, but I started noticing improved drops (in particular many more rares) around 100%. That’s just my experience.
I find I rarely or never switch to staff, and I don’t spend much time in DS. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but I don’t feel I need it often. Usually I try and flash into DS, use 3, then life blast until whoever I’m chasing is dead. Sometimes I use 4 when there are a bunch of minions/spirits/clones nearby. Are the other skills worth using too?
Considering you traited Reaper’s Might, Unyielding Blast and Deathly Perception you should probably spend more time in DS than out of it. Plus, your ranged wells puls with your current crit chance, so dropping wells and staying in Shroud while they puls will make them crit more often (almost always).
And yes, every skill in DS is worth using.
Traits are rather standard as they are except for Speed of Shadows, you should really drop that for either II, III, IV or VIII.
I switched it out for II (50% slower life force drain) and liking it so far. I can definitely notice being able to remain in DS longer. Trying to spend more time in DS too to get the crits on the wells. Does being in DS affect crit chance on marks as well?
I haven’t played much sPvP in a while or ever, but I just started PvPing again. I found I didn’t like my guard too much and I was pretty terrible with warrior and thief. I have not played a necro before, my necro is lvl 11, but I LOVE it so far. I feel like I do very good damage and survive well against most anything 1v1 (except meditation guards wreck me). Right now, this is the build I’m running, I’m looking to improve it, any tips?

Is there something better than spectral armor, consume conditions, and flesh golem to be using? Consume conditions is nice, but the cast time is ages and I don’t always get it off.
Any other necro tips? I briefly tried dagger, but I didn’t do too well with it. I like the kite and kill the axe brings. I also tried a MM, but wasn’t sure what to do and didn’t kill much. Thanks for any help!
There are a bunch of turkeys in AC dungeon.
My main is a Ranger. Not any harder than any other profession. I have leveled them all to 80 and Ranger is actually the easiest because of its simplicity. Sit at range with a longbow , command pet to attack first and Boom , easy peasy mode.
I easily get groups for dungeons all the time. I can get into CoF, Arah, Fotm, and CoE no problem……. My zerker dps is as high if not higher than a GS war zerker. You obviously don’t know how to play Ranger Galtrix, no offense. Feel free to reply with disgust if you like.
If you want more challenging (and to be a better ranger player), use sword/warhorn instead of longbow in dungeons. Your damage will double (at least) and you still shouldn’t die if you’re careful. I’m actually amazed you don’t get kicked from dungeons when using longbow. Using a ranged weapon in CoE… What’ll they think of next!
There must be at least 10,000,000, probably more like 100,000,000 leather sections/gossamer scraps hoarded. 1,000,000 is a far far far too small number.
The real question is do I sell my 30k leather sections now, or wait til dec 10?
Guardian is definitely a solid class and I love playing mine, but the damage is not comparable to other classes. If you gear up any class in full zerk, you will see guardian is at/near the bottom.
Guardian health pool is low, but between perma blind, vigor, and tons of reflects/blocks, that’s not really much of an issue.
To the OP, I would try playing another class and see how much more damage you do (wear full zerk) and how much fun that is. I used to hate my ranger because I used bows, but once I switched to sword/GS, my damage skyrocketed and so did my enjoyment of the class. A ranger wielding a sword flies all over the screen, it’s pretty fun to watch.
When you get the path where you have to plant the bombs, is there any trick to preventing the sneaky little dredge from picking the bombs up before they explode? Most of the time we are lucky to get one bomb to explode per charge up the stairs. I don’t find having one person draw aggro helps much, wiping up next to the bombs maybe helps a little, and killing most of the mobs doesn’t stop some from sneaking in and grabbing bombs.
I play a guardian and I’ve tried Ring of Warding, Line of Warding, Sanctuary, and Shield of Absorption, but none of these seem to have any effect. Is there any way to get all the bombs to explode so you can get it done in 2-3 cycles?
Level/gear doesn’t matter one bit in SAB.
I found that until I had the shadowfall pattern memorized, every time I even made it to phase two was just a lucky coincidence. Then, once I knew exactly where I was going to start phase two at every time, and where the first shadowfall was going to drop, and where all the clones would be, and where I needed to look to destroy an orb at any of the three spawns, I felt like I could start to make a serious attempt at killing her. Once I could get to phase two reliably and survive for ~20 seconds in phase two and get into a rhythm, it took a few tries, but was doable.
To be fair, the camera is annoying, but if the camera is messing you up, you haven’t practiced and memorized enough.
If you have multiple classes at 80, try it with different classes. I tried many many times on my ranger, and gave up and switched to guard. Got it on my sixth try with a guardian (just using staff auto/occasional 3 and a shout build).
Also, some arenas are definitely easier than others. I was watching some people last night at different arenas, some were downright horrible. It took twice as long (minimum) as it should to get to phase two, just based on where the pools, clones, and shadowfalls spawned. If you’re in an arena where there is any downtime waiting for the shadowfall to move so you can lure clones, switch arenas.
I’ve seen necro, ranger, guard, war, and thief farm deadeye with 4 or 5 gambits easy. Hardly one class having much of an advantage over the rest.
The video definitely works. I have worse gear than that guy and kill him easily every time using just WoR. While practicing for the 5 gambit achieve, I would handicap myself on purpose and still try and kill him. I didn’t pop VoJ, took off bane signet, SY on cooldown and still kill him with ease (with 4 gambits) every time. Literally all you need with guardian is to immediately use sword 2, then WoR.

Were you killing Subject 7? His reward got nerfed. Deadeye still has the 10s, 5gear reward per gambit. Just have to move on to farming him instead of Subject 7.
I just managed to complete it vs Deadeye. I farmed him for ~3 hours to get some practice in with just 4 gambits (exhausted, fraility, on fire, hamstring). I tried many times to add either squeamish or crowd favorite, finally got it with crowd favorite.

My build was a little different too, had 20 in valor and 0 in honor for extra crit damage.
My sigils were garbage too, though I built up 25 stacks of bloodlust for each fight (huge pain, but very very very helpful, every single bit of damage is needed). Food was plate of truffle steak.
Only other difference from that vid is the time I got it, I tried out shield of the avenger over bane signet and I got it first try. I think what really did it was I got lucky and popped VoC, shelter, and renewed focus at the right time to block the 9k quaggon attacks. Got downed at the end and beamed deadeye for the achievement.

Guardian and thief duo were able to perfect this on evon and with some effort get it on kiel. Scorpion wire, pistol 4, scepter on guardian.
Pretty minimal effort – just let the plunderers return if you miss them and don’t go chasing waterfalls.
Yes. I went full zerk on guard, 30/30/0/0/10. Scepter 3 and Signet of Wrath provide decent immobilize to help with the 3 seconds you need to dps the plunderers down before they run too far. Bane signet helps in a pinch too.
I think the biggest part is still luck. Sometimes most of the mobs chill by the treasure, only aggro you when you attack a plunderer, but soon as you kill him and run away, they drop aggro and go back to the treasure. Other times they chase you off the island no matter where you run.
If anyone (NA) wants to try and duo it with me (zerk guardian), /w me. I can get the left and middle guys easy, but draw a ton of agro whenever I kill the right guys.

All three of the AC paths are easy/fast. For P2 you should only do it with a group that knows how to do it or the last boss will take a while to kill. 180 tokens per day easy in AC.
AC isn’t a tough dungeon. As long as you aren’t asleep and have decent DPS, you will be fine. I ran this build when I turned 80 with greens and I was fine in AC dungeon until I got all my exotics, you should be good.
If you want to go with a mix of zerker armor, CoF dungeon path 1 is extremely easy and fast (10min per run) and you get berserker’s armor from the token vendor. This is also by far the fastest way to earn gold (6g per hour easy).
Bigmonto, all extremely helpful information, you hit every question, now I can start making sense of everything! I feel like we just hit the game hard without planning ahead, him and I just wanted to hit max level and take place in end game content, we just cleared zones along with personal story and some crafting to hit 80, once we were actually there we were both dumbfounded at how little about the game we actually know! I’m not a big forum poster but I feel like I should become one in order to ask the questions that really trouble me instead of googling them and searching through questions that may or may not be relevant to what I need to know! While I’m here I may as well ask a few more: I’ve already completed the monthly for june, are there other means you can gain jugs of karma? Should we complete our personal story? How quickly could one “grind” karma through zone completion? Could we do dungeons in rare armor or is exotic a requirement? Should I just give up and go something simpler like AH or full support so I’m not gimping my group with lack of gear and lack of competence?

You can also just buy PVT exotic armor pieces from the AC token vendor in LA. They come pre-equipped with a Monk Rune. A whole set costs ~1400 tokens, so it will take a few days, but you certainly don’t need exotic armor to get through path 1 and 3 of AC once you learn it. You could piece together your gear with some karma pieces, some AC dungeon pieces, and fill the rest out on the TP and you wont have to bust your butt farming too much.
If you haven’t done map completion in the 70+ zones, I recommend it. You get 2 lvl 70+ exotics (equipped with runes/sigils that may sell for 5g+ if you’re lucky) and 40 of a T6 crafting mat. It doesn’t take a whole lot of time, and doesn’t require much in the way of gear for most parts. Good luck.
I had the same thing happen to me too. I did it twice with the same character using two different guides, but didn’t get it. I then switched characters and did it from memory and got it my first try. I switched about five different things at once, so I don’t know exactly what causes the bug. My best guess is to try on a different character and enter zone three with zero baubles (exit to rata sum and just do zone 3 after depositing all your baubles), I think that will probably award it to you. Don’t progress from zone 2 to zone 3.
Some of the other things I would avoid as well – don’t do it on infantile mode, don’t use continue coins.
