PvP and WvW balance is so broken at this point that it’s unplayable.

Guardians are so brokenly overpowered it’s ridiculous. It’s ok for a guardian to be able to kill a player from full health instantly with overpowered traps, or to be completely unkillable with a defensive build. This is OK. In fact it’s not only ok, they actually got more powerful last update.

Meanwhile engineers have their third nerf in a row, and second crippling nerf, when their main skill is running away and being hard to kill. Not even doing damage, because they don’t even have a damage spike. Just running away.

Staff thieves have just had a damage nerf. A class that’s so weak in PVP that people invent jobs for them. (You decap points! It’s what thieves do!) And staff is the weaker of the two main thief builds. So the weakest build of the weakest PVP class got a damage nerf.

Meanwhile elementalists’ are still unkillable, they just do less damage. Great. No one played elementalists for damage in PVP anyway. A warrior can heal and be nearly invulnerable permanently, as long as they’re hitting something, while doing massive damage at the same time. But nope— engineers and thieves are what needs nerfing.

It’s not playable. Unless you want to play one of the favored classes.

I took a week off from the game and came back today out of boredom and was instantly reminded why I quit. I’m not going to do it any more.

When are guardians going to be fixed?

It’s insane that a class can on one hand be invincible, and on the other kill players from full health with overpowered traps.

Also their cage trap is broken again. It now traps you permanently, instead of once then letting you out.

They were supposed to be fixed so that they can only knock you back once, and I thought they were. But traps are still making a permanent barrier? Why? As if DHs weren’t overpowered in the first place.

Is it because the devs play these classes? My engineer is useless now, 100% useless in pvp and wvw. Why is this ok?

I’m not going to waste my time playing a match well only to lose it because this map assigns 150 points randomly.

No one will lose pips, but everyone will lose 15 minutes of their lives.

I’ll be taking screenshots for proof.

UPDATE: Switching back to the 32 bit client by adding -32 to the launch shortcut fixed it. Thanks.

This is 2 minutes just to get to character select. It just sits at a black screen that can’t be tabbed out of. My computer has 16gb RAM, an SSD, and a dedicated graphics card, and it’s never had this kind of problem before. In game, too, seems sluggish, but that’s harder to quantify. 2 minutes to character select is not. What’s going on?

Also when a zone is loading now, the screen will flash to black once in the middle of the loading, which is possibly related.

Rebooting doesn’t help, and it’s consistent, every time I start the game, and every time I load a zone.

I’m on Windows 7 64 bit.

I spent 6 months gearing myself into a power-based melee class because that’s what you turned Engineers into, and now I’m useless in WvW. I have to be hitting someone to damage them and I can no longer do that without dying.

How the kitten do you justify that with classes like Rangers out there that do massive damage from a distance, on top of stealth, on top of pets, on top of out of control healing, on top of traps, on top of everything else?

What the kitten am I supposed to do with my engineer now?

Searching for a way to target downed players is what brought me to this thread. I can’t believe there is no way to target a player ally. It makes gyro revive nearly impossible to use. I don’t think I’ve successfully used it once. This is really needed.

It seems to do nothing. If this ability is only for when a gyro is reviving/finishing, that’s almost entirely useless. I was expecting it to work for all gyros.
