After my lag was gone for some reason my hands got more and more red and i saw dead people laying everywhere around me…Some of them even magically disappeared while running, to be never seen again.I find this very strange…

Glass canon does not have much survivability but here’s a idea how you could get something similar:You could go power vitality and crit dmg with your gear,buy some runes with power and crit then set traits like

because of the shadow 30 in shadow arts and your gear you will have survivability and also decent damage with backstab.

here’s a idea.I know this will hardly ever happen but still i can’t resist:
Give a debuff to everyone who is near let’s say 10 friendly players and give the debuff to them also that will cut their damage and hp to half.So they could zerg what they want but will not be so dangerous.Groups of 10 people are not that large but they will be able to cap towers and keeps.This should also result that every large battle with 30 vs 30 or more will not look like 2 trains of people crashing in each other giving everyone lag but more spread out over the map.

For those of you who would kill a guy in a 1v50 fight and after laugh at him please for the love of God quit playing wvw….You know who you are,you know that you can’t do anything on your own,you know that you are making game worse for many others and you know that you usualy quit the game before getting killed.its not only on these 3 servers its anywhere….you guys are truly the worst scrubs ever.So please do yourself a favor and avoid getting hated by everyone…just quit

Am not calling anyone a hacker…Just like i said in the post above.Am asking here what it is because he is not the first guy i downed in a supply camp and this usualy does not happen.So i just wanna know…

Take a good look at this picture and notice the determined buff on the downed enemy in a supply camp.I know after you down them usualy you can’t dmg them for a sec but then again this time happened so that:
First my stomp failed, after that pls notice my calltrops there doing no damage at all.So i could not finish this guy.
So is it a game bug or hack?

Lets hope the lag is gone after the servers are up…I mean it could be possible

The “I have a thief” argument is null and void when I can have a bunker build and laugh all the way to the bank vs spike builds.

But I do run a spike build, because it is fun. I can escape sometimes, but when I screw up, it’s a definite death sentence.

Outside of all the thief nerf problems and kittening our class up, this recent change makes me not want to play with people. I DON’T WANT to be near ANYBODY, when all it takes is for an ally to step on a trap and I am kittened for 30 seconds. They’re absolutely fine, but it says to me: you want a chance of surviving, don’t play near teammates. Which saddens me, because I love chatting with small groups of people while capturing small points and helping cover people with my thief. If I land a backstab on someone harassing a teammate, they aren’t harassed for much longer because people seem to have this innate rabid dog syndrome, where they see a thief they go for it and nothing else.

GG Anet, I can see why NCSoft are constantly trying to reign you in.

There are just as many tanking builds for thieves that work just as well, if not better than many bunker builds.

Also, learn to use evades, blinds, and mobility. My current build runs virtually no stealth whatsoever.

plays better when thiefs is/was easy mode given the heavy regen in stealth you have/had acces to, then comes the damage to mind and the fact that there is/was no efficnat counter to stealth othere then predtions and gut felling where the thief had to run around like a idiot and waiting to eighter gain hes hp(if thats what he stelathd for) and then just before the end trow in a heavy hit on the oppenet.
but sorry thief is/was easy mode and take/toke a lot less skills then to counter a thief
and yes i have played a thief before tho not a 80

If you think that thef is “easy” mode just because of stealth then you are clearly wrong.Even with stealth and if you ever played thief you should know folowing:
1.you run out of initiative you are dead
2.you don’t time your skills you are dead
3.you don’t position your character right you are dead
4.you get kicked out of shadow refugee pretty much dead
Stealth was the only thing that could keep a thief from dieing in first 5 seconds of the fight.

Go to my documents, gw2 folder then there delete Local.dat file.After this go to your gw2 folder and delete gw2.tmp and gw2.exe.Download the client from your account put it in your gw2 folder and rename it to gw2.exe.After this it should download just the lastest files (about 10mb i think) and try to run the game.I hope it works.Btw try at least 2-3 times if not cause in my case didn’t work first time as well.

Just about 30 mins ago i noticed how my lag was completely gone as i decided to guest on another server.The server that i play on is Gandara i had huge lag there today….So now i can’t be so sure about anet support telling me that my internet connection is causing this, besides everything else that’s using my internet works just fine.Seems like some servers are causing this….

It’s not only in the wvw, but everything you do, you suffer from insane lag due to low fps issue. Try to visit charr land, for me it’s almost impossible, 4~6 fps.

Hope they fix it as soon as possible.

I don’t think we are talking about fps here.We are talking about server lag.Its a very different thing

My lag is so bad that when am in combat i first see half of my hp going down then after 1-2 sec i see skill animation of my enemy.Even when i dodge i see the animation after 2 sec.That not only happens in large group fights even in 1vs1.I checked my internet connection and its fine.My pc is also fine nothing has changed, but after the patch the game is almost unplayable making me wanna quit it… -_-
I think things like this(and by that i mean making the game playable) should be of high priority to arena net but i don’t see them doing much about it….

First of all usualy when i lose a fight people would start jumping around, dancing, even sending me offensive messages for no reason(usualy i don’t mind losing but this is getting a bit extreme) .Second thing is when i beat someone most of the times its one of these.
1) Making an excuse on chat so the whole team can know how “its not his foult”
2)Sending me offensive message because i win.
3)Before i can do it player just goes to the hotm…
Its realy pathetic…I played lot of mmo’s including WoW.Have NEVER experienced such a bad pvp as here.For real some of you guys need to grow up.
Btw.The world will not end if you get killed in a mmorpg.Or you want me to start acting like some of you by exiting the game so we can be even?

intel core i5 2.5ghz dualcore
4 gb ram 1066 mhz dual channel
Intel Hd graphics 3000

When Exploring i normally have 40-50 fps but it suddenly drops sometimes to 10 fps.

But when i’m in WvW in 40v40 Zerg fights i still have around 30 fps
Is there a solution for the fps drops when exploring

Had the same problem…Cleaning my OS, updating graphic card drivers restarting gw2 settings then cleaning the dust from my pc helped a lot.

The word kitten is so repetitive on gw2 forums its almost abusive haha…Ok now we all can be sure that everyone can say kitten.

I had the same situation when i first got my gift of battle.But then i bought second gift of battle and then one more gift of battle for no reason…

Calling someone bad just because they don’t have enough people in wvw and you can “steamroll” groups of 5-10 players with your kitten,mindless,button smashing zergs of 100’s people…way to go sir.There is no fair play here at all.Even a 12 year old can folow the zerg press one attack skill when see a enemy player and get his reward for it.Should anyone think highly about himself because of this?I don’t think so.

Here is my opinion.To make it short not dodging cloack and dagger alowing thief to stealth easy and as we all know a thief’s strongest attack comes from stealth.Than when i kill someone in spvp i would get comments like:
“1-5-1-5-1-5 l2p you don’t have any skill….and so on” what i don’t get either…
First of all if i was using 1 and 5 only i would be daed in a sec.Its almost like they don’t see how i use f1 for steal the,the healing skill of course,calltrops,ambush trap,shadow refugee and thiefs guild.I guess you can’t be one of the so called “pro players” when playing a thief.Why?
Because guys will call you spamming noob if you win and if you lose they still call you noob.
It makes spvp a very sad expirience.Its full of raging guys who just have to tell you how bad you are when they lose and how op thief is.I think the only option to play spvp normaly is to switch to the combat log instead of chat first moment when you get in.At least that way you don’t have to hear all the QQ.

Ok.My bad i tought its after nerf cause he posted today.Anyway watch his hp how it gets rly low in some parts like in the begining of the video and other parts like 11:01 where he does not stealth stright away and there you go.It still proves the point

If so tell me why can this guy still win 1v1,2v1,3v1,4v1.Is stealth still op?I don’t think so…it got nerfed pretty bad and ruined cause the timing problem most of the thiefs have.I think the thing that op is he himself.Enjoy his video guys!It’s the one after the nerf.

But there are no many things that make spvp much different from wvw besides lvl and gear.In wvw the number of your enemyes is much larger than in spvp,if you walk trough them you are pretty much dead if you don’t stealth and escape.Also consider the situations where you try to beat 1 or 2 guys only and before you know it there are 6-7 of them behind you.With stealth beeing nerfed as it is its pretty much harder to escape from that especialy now when most of the people didn’t rly adopt to the new timing.So why to play thief after this anyway…?Not to mention the pve nerfs.I played thief since i got the game.It was not because i had any idea if its op or not (how could i).It was because i like the class and the way of gameplay you have with it.Later on i found it out and started playing wvw and spvp.Now that thief is screwed up idk if i would play much often as i did.Maybe only pve…how knows.There is no other class i like as i do like thief.

It just happened a minute ago.I was in wvw fighting off the enemy players, everything seems fine.No lag,fps is ok….but i press healing skill nothing happens.I do it again….still nothing,one more time no reaction.They kill me and i lose the fight.
