Can’t do ping, but randomly lagging out entirely with error that has been posted in this thread. First 4 days was caused by map changing, now during general gameplay, even out of peak hours.
Battle of Khylo crashes each time.
I am also having the issue. Is there a fix in progress?

Were Ursan and PI popular skills ? Of course they were, but claiming that everyone used or relied on them is ludicrous.
No, its evident now you were not active in GW1 during that time. Ursan Blessing was used everywhere, from DoA to FoW/UW, all the way to solo elite mission clears. Other metas at the time, such kitten, almost went defunct.

Let’s keep in mind, that people who will miss LS2 must pay money to have 100% map according to your suggestion.
The world completion meter is only for open world content. If you are referring to the content behind the house in Prosperity (you know which one, let’s be mindful of spoilers for those who have not played), you can access it without the story instance.
Any examples where the LS is needed?
I would rather go past 100% World completition, and get an additional Gift of Exploration at 150%. Well.. first we need to get more new maps of course…
Hmm, perhaps not have it go over 100%, but rather have it award more gifts as you explore more? Like reward tiers?

All these PvE kitties that complain about not getting their map completion done because WvW counts as well: WvW is WvW, for the love of god.. Organise yourself and you can easily map an entire BL..
(and before you start b*tching: check from which low tier server I come and how hard this server has had it with their matchups – especially 9-10 months ago, when I completed the maps)I never asked to have to run mindlessly in those PvE maps and instances to get my map completion, yet I had to do so as well..
I have no problem with exploring or playing WvW (it’s easy enough as it is, follow a blue taco for victory). The point is, it kittenes off serious players because they’re losing valuable slots to people uninterested in playing and preferring to explore zones intended for fighting.

Agreed, perhaps make it that visiting the WvW zones unlocks all POIs, Vistas, and Waypoints instantly.

At the one hand, all old maps do count towards map completion.
However all new ones do not. If they change them, so they all count towards map completion, which I am ok with, they should make sure to change all maps.
Agreed. Do you also have any suggestions for the gift unlocks if the new maps are added? Do you agree with my suggested method of making it equivalent to the current 100%?
I don’t see how the way they’ve done it is unprofessional.
The new zones are very broken. I recall playing with a friend of mine last month who started playing, and he immediately noted the strange lack of continuity in Southsun Cove (“where is the meter,” “this zone doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the world like how it handles”). Maybe unprofessional is the wrong word, but it really hurts continuity for players like myself who enjoy exploration and enjoy seeing a sort of tracker for it.
Dry Top was added to the world map recently, and Southsun Cove was added a long time ago. I understand Dry Top is not “completed” yet, but Southsun is. I would encourage adding these maps to the total world completion, as well as have them have a map completion meter and map completion award. Once Dry Top is complete, add it and any future zones, too. Not only does it seem more professional, it makes everything seem more integrated and immersive.
In terms of the total reward (gift of completion), it may be a good idea to make it that all players earn their two gifts at the map completion interval that is equivalent to the launch game. Then, everything after that can be for exploration junkies such as myself who enjoy having 100% on their characters/account.
In short, please tier the gift rewards and add the new zones to the total world completion. It adds immersion and looks more professional.
VIP was introduced for the Chinese market, due to regulations that require subscriptions to be part of an entertainment package.

Fun fact: it’s been delayed, but not cancelled.
They still have more than a month to work on content, stuff can change, and having a community speculate and jump to conclusions before anything is official is a bad idea for new content.
They should add a few of these races into the major cities. It reminds me of the beacon run in DR during that one update with the torches. Make cool content like that.
I love seeing all the Queensdale champ farmer people having trouble with this event. Difficult, eh?
Feedback:
-If quickly coordinating six groups before the event, it’s easy to do.
-Rewards are under par, gold should be very rewarding , even doing guild runs makes it difficult. PUGs usually get Silver, but by 30 seconds of gold.
-Implement these boss mechanics into the world bosses, far more enjoyable to HAVE to actively play.

After a living story season has ended, some key moments could be put into the personal storyline that can be played by all characters created after the end of the ongoing season. That would, in fact, be a great addition and very clever to keep people updated.
As Colin mentioned the next big event is the launch in China. Season 2 of LW will start after this – maybe begin of June.

Don’t know how serious you are… but you are aware Arenanet can make content in that time, as the localization for China is being done by another company?
I agree entirely, it should be easier to use and less confusing.
Every time I log-in on my main character, I get the “wallet, a new feature, etc.” pop-up message. I’ve seen it about 25 times, and it becomes a bit of an annoyance. I assume it’s a big. My other characters do not have this.
If the team needs investigation, the main on my account is “David.”
Gandara has had all the boss events, but they happened 15 minutes after the pre-events had been completed.
This has been in the game since release, I have an elementalist as my main. I believed it was due to the low health/low armor/high damage output combination, causing bosses to calculate that killing the elementalist would be the most important thing to do.
I do indeed hope it is changed.
Thanks for your quick replies you two. It ended up being the graphics driver and the age old Realtek/Nvidia HD audio driver conflict, although running it as admin is something I’ve added for him from now on.

Have you guys updated the firewall settings within your router and in your virus protection? I had this too, and that resolved it for me.
Hey all.
A good friend of mine is having problems with his Guild Wars 2 client. The game will randomly crash and freeze at random intervals ranging from 5-25 minutes. I’ve already tried ensuring that all the hardware is stable and that no parts are broken.
The error given is a general error 000005. Can anybody tell me how to fix it for him and/or what is causing it? The error can be found in this link (too big to fit forum post length restrictions).

No, and it will probably be patched soon.
When I open the story panel on my characters, scrolling down will cause the whole panel to disappear, and scrolling up causes it to appear again. It’s been this way since release. The bug occurs once you scroll down and “starving the beast” appears at the bottom.
This was done on a launch-created human elementalist.
A player cannot exit the Blood Tribune Quarters if just entering it randomly. There is no exit area sign or button, and walking against the boundaries does not trigger the “leaving instance” box.

what do you have to do to get the “It’s a Mad King’s World” achievements?
Go to the three zones of the labyrinth and into the MKT dungeon. Even just going in and out nets you it.
OT: It’s a bug. Mine says 4/5, but I got mine before act 3 deployed.
No, I received some ToT bags (personalized) from the chest, and those cannot be opened. They also do not stack with other personalized bags that do open.
And I know it’s not the storage bag, as they’re inside of the storage bag.
The 10 personalized items I received from the reward are unable to be opened. Also, I don’t know if the jokes achievement is linked to this… but it did not unlock, either.
In the Hero Panel [H], the personal storyline tab has a glitch. First of all, the “attack on claw island” does not display correctly, it cuts off after the first line.
Secondly, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the panel, all of my storyline parts disappear, until I scroll up again.

Arenanet, I’m really enjoying Halloween 2012 now that you guys rolled out the second act… but about act three…
You see, the clocks go backwards. Do you guys mean… 19 GMT as in the current time, 19 GMT as in 1 hour backwards, could you please post a clock with timezones on the exact times that you guys are planning it?
This is confusing me and a few others, a quick confirmation would be great.

Motivating the miners at the Blackwing Excavation heart event does not contribute to the meter. It usually just pauses, and the miners themselves walk a circle and go back to sleep.
I think there should be a button at the bottom right corner of the hero panel allowing us to replay personal storyline missions. They would give no rewards (except loot/coin/experience earned in the mission itself), and have no effect on the storyline. Only completed missions could be finished, and no choices could be made.
Could this be done?
For further emphasis, they (dolyaks) get stuck upon the broken catapults.
At the “blow the gate” dynamic event chain, the part of blowing the gate never happens. The NPCs stand still and don’t move on, causing it to get stuck.

Lol, I had the exact same experience. I started out as Elementalist, and loved the action-y combat, and having to be careful with how many mobs I fight at once, strafe around, dodge etc.
Then started a Guardian and faceroll’d everything in my path without any problems. No strafing, no dodging, not knowing my skills. I just hit attack and stuff dies.xD
I sincerely think this has to do with us all starting out as a “light” armored class, with less health and damage, and building up to these higher, “heavy” armor classes with lots of health and lots of damage.
On the Desolation server, the event “defend Caer Evermore from the risen assault” does not function correctly. The people are there, the NPCs are there, but after two waves (each time, tested three times), the event stays still and no new NPCs spawn. It’s basically stuck.
This is still bugged, and the mission is still stupid, badly made, and seriously... why?
The undead need to be turned down, they need to stop auto-targeting the player and ignoring the 30 fighters around you. The amounts of undead is not just stupid enough, the fact that hylek can instantly kill you with their 3 minute poison is not good, either.
Then, once you get done with this all, the tunnel you need to reach is blocked, and/or the cutscene just does not trigger at all.
I’m sorry Arenanet, but this has lasted and halted my progress now for 2 weeks.
Hey everyone. Thanks for your feedback and we all greatly appreciate this constructive criticism as you deal with these frustrations.
To respond to this I can say that, yes, we’re aware of the general issues that have been reported with many Dynamic Events and skill challenges. They frustrate us as much as they frustrate you – most if not all of us devs are playing the game right along with you, and these content blockers can certainly be challenging to everyone’s enjoyment of the game experience.
I would like take this opportunity to clarify one thing I’ve seen discussed here on the forums and in game chat. It’s just not true that the higher level or other content wasn’t tested. It was. Thoroughly.
But even with the Beta Weekend Events and our own internal testing, there’s really only so much that we can do to simulate the number of times that events have to run in sequence once a game like Guild Wars 2 goes live. In particular, Arenanet has made iteration one of our key development philosophies which has the benefit of promoting the publishing of better in-game content, but which has the consequence of us doing many builds a day while we’re developing. In many cases the events that are breaking are doing so because of compounding errors that are hard to catch when you’re developing in such a fluid environment. We’re seeing a number of these blocking issues in events that have undergone extensive internal testing, but which have never needed to run dozens of times in a row, because of how frequently we developers were iterating and generating new builds.
We’re working as hard as we can to find and fix the biggest blocking issues, and it’s one of our top priorities to ensure that you can complete each map and play in events without running into these kinds of issues. We sincerely appreciate your patience, and your detailed reports on anything you come across that isn’t working as it should.

I want to tell the developers that many events that feature bridges, often cause pack animals and NPCs to go insane and usually cause them to glitch. I also want to announce that Quaggan events on land (near Tequatl, for example), cause them to always walk in circles for 10 minutes near the end before they actually reach their destination. It seem as if these types of events cause enemies to just… get stuck.
Also, skill events such as the shark event in Sparkfly Swamp and skill events in Kessex Hills almost always bug out or do not reset. The Desolation server has been unable to complete Sparkly since launch.
