Hi there,

I’m the guild leader for Supply and Demand [SAnD], located on the Maguuma server. It was recently brought to my attention that some members of SAnD were accused of glitching into a keep during our WvW match-up last week. I have been able to confirm that two of our members did indeed exploit into that keep. The confirmation came via a video that we were able to record as this took place. We promptly provided that video to ArenaNet, along with the appropriate supporting details.

Supply and Demand [SAnD] takes exploiting VERY seriously and these players were called on this behavior and immediately removed from our guild. We can also report that they have since left the Maguuma server. It upsets me that this exploit happened, particularly by members wearing our guild tag. This behavior is definitely NOT what SAnD is all about and I hate to see something like this tarnish our good reputation. I assure you that I will do everything possible to avoid having something like this ever happen again. The rest of the SAnD membership is as committed as I am to the highest ethical standards of play.

An exploit like this is also not what Maguuma is about, and I apologize to the server that this unfortunate episode took place. I hope that the actions of these two individuals will not taint the reputation of our server in the eyes of our competitors. We felt that it was in the best interest of the WvW community to report what we found and the subsequent actions that we have taken.

We stand ready to continue to fight honorably on the battlefield with our fellow citizens of Tyria!

We’ve been blown away by the amazing response that Supply and Demand [SAnD] has received while recruiting here on the forums. The helpful spirit and enthusiasm from the new folks who have joined us have been beyond belief. Our recruitment through these forums has helped immeasurably to strengthen our membership and our ongoing ability to play together as a cohesive and energized team.

[SAnD] is a guild currently located on Maguuma. We believe that each player should be picky in the guild they choose and each guild should want people that fit in. This usually produces less drama and more fun for everyone. Too many times players are not sure what they are looking for and sometimes guilds seem to only want numbers in order to build influence.

Our guild is mostly filled with people 25+ years of age. We believe in the value of friendships formed among guildmates while slaughtering beasts or the enemy on the battlefield – and a tight-knit group can go a long ways towards helping to make that a reality. We have a healthy balance between PvE and WvW, and we welcome players who have strong interests in either (or both). We are not elitist in our approach to the game and are always ready to help members with dungeon runs, map completions, jumping puzzles, WvW strategy, and tips on all aspects of gameplay.

We are looking to fill our remaining spots with like-minded players. We will not invite for the sake of numbers. For the most part, we are all family people so many of our members will typically not be on all day and every day. A majority of us play “most” nights (8 pm – 1 am EST is prime time) for about 3-5 hours (some much more). We are not hardcore when it comes to quantity but certainly when it comes to quality. When we are online, we want to make the most of that time. That means staying focused and organized, and using voice communication. We also love using Teamspeak simply as a way to get to know each other and relax together. This is important to us as it helps keep the guild personal and gives us the ability to work well together.

a. We’re located on Northern Shiverpeaks and have been building our ranks there since headstart. No need for a server transfer
b. Our average age is 30+. I’m the guild leader and I’m 49. Many of us have families, jobs, and other commitments and value the delicate balance between real-life and game time.
c. We all have experience with many games before GW2, including WoW, Aion, DAoC, SWTOR, etc.
d. We welcome players of all levels. Many of us have mains that are level 80s but also alts scattered across many different levels and professions. However, beyond that, one of the great things about GW2 is that even level 80s can effectively play with level 1s and offer help, progression, and level gameplay. Plus, beginning players can jump right into WvW and structured PvP from day 1.

We also believe in the value of friendships formed among guildmates while slaughtering beasts or the enemy on the battlefield – and a tight-knit group can go a long ways towards helping to make that a reality. We have a healthy balance between PvE and WvW. We are not elitist in our approach to the game, and are always ready to help members with dungeon runs, map completions, jumping puzzles, WvW strategy, and tips on all aspects of gameplay.

We are looking to fill our remaining spots with like-minded players. We will not invite for the sake of numbers. For the most part, we are all family people so many of our members will typically not be on all day and every day. Most of us play “most” nights (8 pm – 1 am EST is prime time) for about 3-5 hours (some much more). We are not hardcore when it comes to quantity but certainly when it comes to quality. When we are online, we want to make the most of that time. That means staying focused and organized, and using voice communication. This is important to us as it helps keep the guild personal and gives us the ability to work well together.
