And there’s no response from Anet on this or anybody else? My password is almost 30 symbols long (yes, my account was hacked once) and I’d prefer not to type it in every time I play.
I’m sure this is an oversight by Anet. Like you, Ariurotl I use the mouse instead of the number keys to use the skill bar. Since there’s been a setting for “Fast with Range Indicator” setting for ground targeting, it makes no sense for them to duplicate it here. I’ve been wanting an option for this for years. Now that it’s available I STILL can’t use it. <sniffs, then dabs single tear>

Thanks! That particular thread didn’t show up on any google searches. I know better than to try the forum search engine. Cheers

I’m surprised I’m not seeing more people asking about this, but from what I’ve been able to find Veteran Slayer and Master of Ruins wvw dailes do not exist on the maps any more. If they’ve been removed it would be nice if they’d at least eliminate them from the daily list even if they’re not going to be replaced with something else.
My back item (Chaos of Lyssa) and/or shield is covered by what appears to be one of the story rewards. I tried looking up the different story quest rewards (I selected the Novice’s Pack…this looks more like a seed covered with a leaf) to see if it matched the item that’s on my back, but with all the new content it doesn’t seem to be google-able. It overlays regardless of what I do (shield drawn or at rest).

Shiyo, please stop trolling. The developers didn’t intentionally create hotjoin to be so bad that nobody would play it. That makes no sense. But I do think in their attempts to make it accessible to more players that they left so many options available that they’re essentially exploits.
I realize there are a lot of threads out there on this subject, but in my perusal of them I haven’t seen one theme that always comes to mind when I’m in yet ANOTHER completely unbalanced match: there are no consequences for those who are willfully screwing up the competitive game play.
I know people have strong opinions about class stacking, rewards/loot for matches, points earned, pvp as part of the daily requirements etc. Personally, I don’t care about any of that. I just want easy access to some competitive game play regardless of what the rewards are.
If the game allows people to do things like afk, switch teams, spectate until they can join the winning team, how is the match ever going to be remotely balanced?
I don’t understand why there all these loopholes to work around having to play on a potentially losing team? While the concept of auto-balancing may look good on paper, all the loop-holes make it pointless.
I’d like to see people be more accountable for signing up for hot-joins.
-No team switching during a match.
-Teams are never unbalanced in numbers. People can join midway into matches as long as there’s somebody else in queue to join the opposing team
-Random assignment to team color
-Afk (with stricter qualifications for being afk than currently used) players get replaced by somebody in queue, AND they can’t queue for another match for X amount of time. Increase the amount of time for 2nd offense etc. within a set time period.
-Same penalties as above for people who leave match early
No, this isn’t going to guarantee that matches are going to be balanced, but at least it might cut down on those players willfully ruining the experience for others trying to have some fun.

Are these titles from wvw?
When i had g700, it did not recognize buttons either. Had to bind them to keyboard and then make ‘macros’ on the mouse to include them.
I’ve bound the mouse buttons to keyboard buttons (F5 -F9) in the Logitech Gaming Software. What do you mean by making macros on the mouse?
Thanks
I’ve done plenty of web searches, and of course I made the mistake of trying to use the forum search engine….(cue maniacal laughter). I can’t get the game to recognize any of the mouse buttons. It has no problem recognizing keyboard buttons. I tried assigning keyboard buttons to the mouse in the logitech software, but that didn’t work either. If anybody’s successfully set up the G500s to work with GW2, I’d be most appreciative of any information.
Hi Vail
Currently, Guild Wars 2 should detect the mouse buttons as actual mouse buttons (mouse3, mouse4 etc etc). However, if it doesn’t there is a trick to bypass this and just use generic settings. To do this, you need to access the mouse’s key binding application and bind the keys you want to use to keyboard keys.
For example:
I use a Logitech MX1000. It has 3 side buttons which many games do not recognize as mouse keys. Instead of trying to configure each game to remember the key binds I simply told the mouse software that those buttons are bound to “Page up,” “Page Down” and “Insert.” Then, I start the game of my choice, (Guild Wars 2 in this case) and bind the something like “map” to “Page up” in the keyboard section (not mouse). This way, when I hit the mouse button, the game thinks I am pressing “Page up” so it opens the map.
Beyond this, you will have to wait for your application software to be updated so it works with Guild Wars 2.
I did this very thing with my Logitech G500s as a last measure to try and get it to work. It didn’t. The mouse even has a preloaded profile for GW2, and that didn’t help either.
I’m on one of my 80’s clearing Caledon Forest. Almost none of the creatures (spiders, breeze riders, jungle grubs, krait) that say they apply conditions (poison, bleeding) actually apply them. Is this on purpose?
And gawd forbid if you try to backspace to correct something in the search box: it sends you back to a previous page. Incredibly annoying.
So….do we get some kind of notification when this gets fixed? I don’t see any kind of option for notification to forum responses. (Most online forums have a utility to get emailed if there are responses to your post.)
I’ve gritted my teeth over many of the other bugs in the game, but after spending “real life cash” for the kit and having this happen I now feel ripped off.
