I agree with most of the raging, but at the same time I do advocate patients. Anet is probably busy figure out how they screwed up.
But I have to say they should reduce the overal time to get materials. Champion Bags were well done, other mats, not really, especial to the casual folks. I feel a buff the drop # should be looked into, such as emprical frag or w.e is called. I did a jumping puzzles today and got 7, I need 500 to craft a weapon.
Which implies it is gonna take me 71 days to gather enough materials.
I wonder what most of these “OMG!?” types would do if they saw a screenshot of 10,000g? Other than call it “photo shopped” ofc lol.
It’s called playing the TP and the more you have the more you make, you can log in once a week and make tons of cash, OP isn’t necessarily a no-lifer I can see his post as a veiled joke to exaggerate the requirements that people are freaking out about for some reason.
exactly, i’m pretty sure there are people out there with 10k gold or 100k gold. I mean if you were smart in the beginning. Like the methods below that didn’t get people banned.
A. Precursor flippers in the beginning
B. Rune salvage flippers ( exotic with rune salvage and sell rune for more than you pay for)
C. Precursor mystic forgers, (before they nerfed it)
D. Karma to Gold ( in the very beginning you can craft food with karma and sell for gold)
E. Giant Eyes.
F. Buy Skulls craft rares ( ppl make 1000s of rares and mystic toilet it), before the other people figure it out, and that guy posted it on reddit because the skull prices were too high
G. Rare salvage macros in the beginning, where u can make rares and salvage for ectos and sell for 30-40s
Probably more methods that I’ve forgotten over the year.
For those saying that he is a bot or he is using Photoshop. Those that know how the economy works can do this. I could likely do it too if I wanted too it would just take me a lot longer and I would risk loosing a lot more coin as I am a beginner in the Trading post ways.
I am also just not patient enough too. Don’t want to do the research required (even with gw2spidy there is research required) Nor is it how I want to play the game. It might be later for I do enjoy some stocks at some time.
Definitely not starting now though. Economy is way too unstable. Great for the day traders and the high rollers. That I am definitely not.
As before you get on the hole hate the Trading post players. He likely lost a lot of coin recently. Thus him stating I do hate inflation. Every risk has it’s reward. Playing the tradingpost can be a high risk.
Right, ofc risks, I have spend over 100g on backpacks when they first came out. That did not work well, I spend like 20g each on the pink quaggan.I underestimate the amount of real money people are willing to spend to open the black lion chests. The economy in gw2 is very easy to predict, you don’t need to read up, just need patience.
Jut the simple supply and demand rule will make you richer than your peers. When an item has limited supply or hard to get or always in demand, buy into those, you will never face much of a risk. Ofc unless you predict it wrong such as backpacks like i did.
Speaking of inflation, that is for Anet to blame, they introduce all these events to make more high end materials available and of course who can forget those deadeye farmers :P. Too bad I was at work
To whoever read my entire post :P, how could I not leave a tip. For those who are patient like me, craft your daily mats, and put it on tradepost, it’s gonna be high first week. Then you can rebuy at fraction of the price next week(maybe not fraction but cheaper). I tell all my friends that, but they never listen, because i’ve been wrong before.

oh lol u only have 54s leftalso i think time gating had alot to do with why people stockpiled on these mats. And The only difference we get with time gating is that it will take two weeks to get….not a big deal

What’s the point of showing gold? Gold is such a bad thing to have, I always put my gold into something. I do hate inflation.
Put your money into goods, help with the inflationness. For example, every stack of lodestones, or Minis, not trying to inflate any market, but a stable example.
I guess not everyone needs a life, or needs to save money.
I spend most of my spare time playing dota. I have full time + part time job, it’s called
I <3 tradepost.
You don’t need anywhere close to that many mats.
