I just randomly ran into it on reddit that is all. My rule is, if it’s too easy then it’s probably ban able. Learned from Anet through all the past exploits. That is why I stick to trading post, nice and easy.

I personally played D/D ele sicne release, got my 2 incinator and full ascended trinkets

So now they tell me my build is no longer viable due to
Mist Form: No utilities or heals can be cast for the duration of this skill.
Ride the Lightning: Now recharges 40 seconds out of combat after use, 20 seconds if you hit a target with it
Signet of Restoration: Reduced passive heal, unknown amount
Water Grandmaster Trait: Removes only one condition every five seconds now.

So they take away mobillity and Heal!?
Its ok to nerf a dd ele, but why in hell would you do it like this
out of my 7 Characters i played like 1.3k hour on my ele and like 150 on all the others together

now tell me one reason to keep playing GW2

Efficiency is dependent on what role you want to be, what encounters you plan on doing (dungeons or high fractals), and how skilled you are as a player. Also to an extent, how organized your group is.

In terms of stat spread, to quote Brutaly who has it spot on:

25-60%% crit
2800-3400 Attack
14k-18k health
2400-3300 armour
200-1200 heal power
51-105% critdamage

If you can hit the minimum or inbetweens of those stats, you’re pretty much golden.
However, you need to adjust them depending on typical roles specified below.

A typical anchor guardian would be sporting Knights armor w/ Berserker accessories with a 0/0/30/30/10 trait build along with either soldier runes or boon duration with shouts. Knights give you enough survivability without compromising on DPS too much. Plus, the boon duration, shouts, and AH from 30 Valor will give you great sustain and support.

A typical support guardian would be full clerics along with 0/X/X/30/X traits, boon duration runes and shouts. While this stat-build has great healing power through Selfless Daring party heals, you will deal low-mediocre DPS. This build seems to be deemed quite ineffectual in general PvE and dungeons as the low DPS may prolong fights which can cause mistakes for both you and your team. However, this has great potential in the PvP game type.

If you drop 30 Valor and let go of Altruistic Healing a whole slew of new builds will open up for you, which are basically the Pure, or Almost-Pure type roles.

A very offensive DPS role but still with support, is easily X/30/X/20/5 with Right-Handed Strength. Deals extreme DPS for a guardian and is still robust and supportive with the right kind of rune and stat spread.

And a very supportive role would be 0/0/X/30/20-30. Supplement with boon duration runes and shouts, with Pure of Voice as needed.

And for the record, I run a boon-duration supportive anchor with Berserker Armor, but with Knights Chest & Legs along with Ascended Zerk amulet with Ascended Cavalier Rings/Trinkets and an Ascended Soldier Backpiece. Plus Knights GS with +5% crit rune and Cleric Staff.

Brings me to unbuffed stats of:

3K-ish Attack
3.1k Armor
43% Crit
79% Crit DMG
15K HP
50% Boon Duration
350 Healing Power

Works completely fine in any sort of dungeon or general PvE without any hiccups.

What rune do i use for this extreme dps build?

going for sword/focus
with alt weapon set of mace/shield or focus,
10/0/30/30/0
all zerk gear

but atm, i have no idea what i should use for armor runes

should i just use ruby orbs?

Whenever i have more than 700g, i usually try to trim it to 300-400ish

so i buy random things.

Currently what i got if you count items:

Volcanus not bounded
4 stacks of ectos kitten you anet)
All the minis
5 character with full exotic
2x set of T3
Various T6 mats & lodstones
Wasted 100+g on useless backpacks skin at 15-21g a piece (now they drop to nothing)
+ 450g on the TP

I usually play 2 hours a day, TP + daily. Before they introduced Laurel it was 1 dungeon + TP.

The only thing anyone is seeing are farmers and gold sellers on threads like these trying to “push” artifical mats pricing. This will pass, t6 mats are dropping alot faster now, i picked up 7 armored scales today among other t6 mats and i do not farm, zero MF, i detest the farming mechanic and the people that try to manipulate the trading post by simply typing this or that and hoping people will buy into it.

I will also state for fact that a good portion of these farmers are in fact gold sellers or represent gold sellers and post on the forums or twitter or reddit or whatever brainless media outlet is available for manipulation purposes, if you do not think this happens you are foolish. The forums are their best advertisement and manipulation tools.

Anyone with common sense will see this and ignore the hype by farmers on threads like these and others touting what they want to see in the way of materials. Guess what farmers, you are not the center of the universe anymore.

T6 mat drops have increased, do not let the farmers or the gold sellers run the trading post. I do not.

This kitten need to be sticky, so noobs don’t get tricked by gold sellers

best suggestion ever.. lodstones are blood expansive and you need like 100-350

The problem is Anet nerfed all the ways people previously made gold.

1.Low level rares to make pre-cursors… nerfed… then nerfed again just for good measure. People who got in before that nerf made 800+ gold off of them.

2. Exploits. All those karma exploits allowed people to make hundreds of gold and they unbanned everyone and those people almost all kept their gold.

3. Crafted to ectos. Before loot DR and ecto salvage changes you could craft a level 70 weapon for about 10s and salvage 50s worth of ectos. People made hundreds of gold from doing this just for an hour or so.

4. bots. Since Anet never bothers to ban bots they just farm 24/7 and amass huge amounts of mats and gold, while simultaneously making it harder for everyone else to make profits.

If you haven’t done one of these things chances are you won’t ever have 100’s of gold. The only way left is to get extremely lucky with a rare drop or farm for 1000’s of hours

pretty much this, now it’s just legit way making gold.

YEP every server, these bots are generating thousands and thousands of gold a day and yet anet = OK! we will watch.

they fix exploits why not bots? since exploits doesn’t equal gold inflation

This is a known bug btw. Where you in one of the Beta weekend and did you buy an extra character slot during that time? Seem to happen most often when that’s the case.
I believe anets response so far has been “enjoy your extra free slot” but don’t quote me on that.

a) increase the token gain
b) have a stable silver gain and get rid of that bs scaling by 50% for each subsequent run
