soooooo… since we just picked up PAX badges….. we were wondering if ANet would be having another anniversary event like last year. it was tons of fun and we were glad to go during our first PAX!

aww man, it would be awesome to know what exactly fixed it. that’s exactly the problem i am having now.

it’s not really skill lag. well i experienced this maybe.. 8 pm server? na prime? it’s like everything is moving slower so what i heard over comms happens maybe 30 seconds AFTER. so they move up the hill and i see them do that 30 seconds later.

i was talking to my guildies and they were saying that it’s probably because i’m using onboard graphics and it’s taking up too many resources from my processing power.

So I’m in WvW and in voice comms. A fight is coming and I can hear what they are doing in voice, but in the game it’s way behind. I’ll see what they did like 15 – 30 seconds ago according to comms.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a problem on my end? This only started happening to me today.

yeah, we’re considering keeping the 7850 for myself (i7) and getting him a new gpu (phenom)

yeah i understand in wvw i shouldn’t expect much. but i’d like to experience the game in at least medium settings -.- lol

well we were thinking to just replace his gpu while i use his current gpu, because my i7-3770 would be able to utilize more efficiently, if that’s the case

it would also be cheaper, i think?, to replace the gpu

i also don’t think that we want to try overclocking, at least for now

I was talking to one of my guildies and he mentioned that my boyfriend’s computer’s CPU might be bottlenecking his GPU. Here’s the current build:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 7850 OC Ed.
PSU: NZXT 550W
MoBo: ASUS M5 A97 R2.0
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2×4GB)

If it is, what would be a good replacement for the graphics card?

well, it sounds like you’d be an awesome fit for [FUNK] on Tarnished Coast. We’ve just recently transferred here, bringing with us around 15 ish players and since then we’ve been recruiting. Currently we field anywhere from 6 – 15 people during a raid because of real life stuff, but we’re currently looking to try and recruit until we’re in that comfortable zone of 25 – 30 man raids. We typically run from 7 – 10 PM (usually later since we’ve transferred) PST. On reset we run starting at 5 PM.

We’re used to being a skilled group and zerg busting but we’ve been lacking numbers so we’re just trying to get more bodies. So far it’s been a lot of fun for us making do with what we have, we can still be pretty effective facing larger groups.

Unfortunately we are not currently looking to GvG, but we’re all about mixin’ it up in WvW. =D

“Hey everyone,

We’re a WvW focused guild that has recently found our new home here on TC, and we couldn’t be happier. When we decided to leave our old server, there was some disagreement on where to go. Over half of our group ended up on FA, and we ended up here. I’m convinced we made the right choice.

We’re a tight-knit group (kind of like a strange internet family, really) that has been running together for over a year. We’re semi-serious in that we’re always talking and laughing in mumble, but when the fight starts we clear comms of the chit-chat and get down to business. We like to win, but nobody is going to yell at you if you make a mistake. We’re here to have fun first and foremost.

What we’re looking for: New friends to play with, most of all. We currently have 27-ish members, but with “real-life” obligations and such we typically run anywhere from 6 to 15 people. We’re used to running a consistent 25-30, and our goal is to get to that number and fight larger groups. It’s what we’ve always enjoyed doing. We’re in need of more people in general, but we’re hurting for staff eles, a mesmer or two, a couple guardians, and a thief. We’re swimming in warriors (hodor!) given our group size, but more of any class is welcome at this point. We aren’t against providing build advice and training, but we prefer that you have some WvW experience and a mic.

When we play: We have people in WvW every night, and run structured raids 5-6 nights a week. Our official times are 7-10 PST (west coast NA), but we’ve been having so much fun with the TC community we’ve playing much later since our transfer.

Rep requirements: If you’re running with us we’d like you to rep our guild. Outside of that you’re free to do as you please, but we expect you to raid with us fairly often if you wish to retain membership (though non-members are welcome to hang out with us anytime). We have a few members that have been repping other TC guilds since before our transfer that run with us when their groups call it a night, and we’ve found that it’s worked well.

So an hour or so ago was the first time I’ve logged in since the patch. I didn’t know about the LA instance so I went straight to the wurm event. After that I went to LA looking for the instance, but nothing shows up on my map and a guildie tried to show me where it is as well. She took me to the spot, but nothing was there."

after kitten ing around in DB BL fora while finally got some good fights from DB in EBG =D props to those that were fighting in their keep, that was TONS of fun. sadly… our bags were all full and we had to leave a lot of bags on the ground, poop.

Don’t worry. eBay will always go to the highest bidder (hence the name). They know they can’t win any matchup on their own unless they face nsp and ioj. Other then that they are a 2nd rate server who doesn’t deserve 4th place. More like 6th. Zerg vs Zerg eBay always drops within 2 secs of impact. Such a squishy server.

Yes, that was quite the fight in your keep. I think yaks thought they’d be able to take the keep after we took it, but that didn’t end up working out. Lots of fun to see Bus and some of the other folks we know from Rekz. I’m a bit disappointed that we couldn’t find more fights. We ended up spending a good hour trying to fight Yaks only to have them run. Tree tactics didn’t work tonight. We also portal bombed and that didn’t work.

yes.. sadly it did not… keep fight was the only exciting thing tonight. lol.

i was quite bored. can yaks pls fight us.

tree tactics guys, it works. also.. may have just gotten very bored in SM tonight, BUT this made it much better.

What you seem incapable of understanding is the mindset of Ehmry Bay. Ehmry Bay has consistently performed well enough to place second in the majority of its matchups, but not well enough to place somewhere that the seasons rewards are supposed to be anything interesting.

Going into this matchup, the prediction was that Yaks and SBI would both wafflestomp us no matter what kind of resistance we had, and we’d come third. Being the “peasants upon whom YB plant their flag” quite literally means nothing to us because we entered resigned to placing third. Any possibility of us placing second only really came at the end of the weekend. Still, I think a lot of us are content to give as many ‘F. You’s to SBI that avoiding Yaks a little bit is no big deal. The thing that you are assuming about our server is that we give any sort of mind about PPT and our placement in the leagues. Don’t go on some diatribe about Ebay being subordinate to Yaks until you really consider the situation. Yaks cares about their placement in the league. We don’t. Some of them avoid our things to focus SBI (which is smart) and we carry on defending our things and enjoying the hilarity on the forums when SBI’s score is barely competing with Ebay’s.

I know that for Void, the matchup is very similar to any other. We may choose to hit SBI first, but after that’s done, any Yaks that initiate a fight will get a fight.

run a power/tough/vit build. i use axe/focus and im in the main zerg. use WoB, WoP, whatever the power signet is, Blood is Power, and Lich Form

Tons of dmg. Beaten him twice today in EBay.

Using skill 2 of axe I end up at 3k dmg. Always use BiP, especially right before going into Lich Form. When in Lich Form try and get quickness on you and you throw out your auto attack pretty quick doin over 1k per hit. If you’re in trouble just go into DS then pop out if you know your heal is off CD.

For the expansion slots:

With this information, of if you need more.. what kind of graphics card am I looking for to run the game from medium to high settings? I think that I’ll need to switch out my power supply, but idk.

7/9 urchins destroyed, can’t find the rest.

I believe I was at Jofast’s WP and the event there had a really high spawn rate so that the event lasted for a very very very long time. It was the one where we had to protect the supplies. We weren’t really complaining seeing as we were farming off the spawns, but yeah, turned out to be a very long event

I received this from the map completion chest in Malchor’s Leap. I believe it’s supposed to show a… torch.. instead of a trident..

Hi, I just have one question. I recently bought GW2 for my boyfriend for Christmas and was wondering whether he would have the option of making 3 minis like the rest of us, or only 2? Just wondering.. took forever to get the frames and stuff because everyone already finished the Tixx dungeons.

Hey guys, so I’ll be getting a new mouse soon.. but there’s so many choices, idk what to get haha. I guess after reading all the reviews and what not, I can say that I most likely have a palm grip and that I like to lift my mouse. I’ve read on logitech, razer, roccat, and steelseries mice. Logitech and razer seem to be really popular. Just wondering what your guys’ opinions are and experiences. I know that I’ll be trying some of them out if I can find them at some local stores to see if they fit my hand, but yeah. =D

EDIT: oh yeah, I play gw2 obviously, but I also play LoL and I used to play counter strike, not so much now though.. if that makes any difference lol.

yeah, i was trying to get it last night, which i didnt because i gave up. after so many tries, i knew exactly when i was going to lag so i stopped and waited for it to finish. the thing is is that waiting for it wastes time… so the melting snowflakes would always catch up to me. =(
